Jack and Raven strolled away from the main house, enjoying the pleasant sun and the presence of the man beside him. The sound of the waves on the beach and the children laughing brought a serene smile to his lips and for a moment he closed his eyes to enjoy the warmth. He trusted Raven not to walk him into a tree or anything after all.
When he opened his eyes and turned to Raven he caught the transformation from man to bird. He laughed himself and shook his head. Black feathers scattered into the wind. He pulled back and leapt after him, red and gold mixing in with the black feathers. Two birds, one black and one scarlet-gold wheeled into the bright blue sky. Jack trilled and spun around his companion with delight.
Guyy's laugh rang through the building as they stepped into the sun behind Jack and Raven. Feathers littered the area, black and gold. He glanced up, seeing the shrinking shapes frolicking in the sky. Everyone was having a good time. Even the kids, he could see them running around on the beach and splashing in the water. His smile lit up his entire face.
"Sandcastles are only small. I'll show you when we get to the beach. I bet Nette and Parvarti are good at making them." He reassured his beloved. His hand rested on her waist, snaking around her back to hold her to his side affectionately. The gentle touch of her fingers to the swell of her stomach and the calm expression she wore spoke volumes. It had been a while since he'd seen every so relaxed. Especially her. Of course, she'd been fussing lately but that was not unexpected.
"But first, why don't we find a quiet place to just enjoy the morning, hm?" He suggested, catching her chin gently with his fingers and lowering his lips to hers in a soft and loving kiss.

Feathers were fluttering about everywhere and one small, black and fluffy one landed gently in her palm, a familiar 'caw' responding to a distinct trill far off above somewhere. "Hu?" Curious sapphires were turned up to the Shinigami lord and blinked innocent not really understanding what was so funny.
Was it something she said? Either way a cute little smile spread across her lips with his amusement, the mood infectious. Even with his sort of explanation, she still didn't really understand what the purpose behind building a sandcastle was if it was small. When he mentioned the kids knowing how to build one she turned a rather confused look to him and then back to the kids. Was a sandcastle only big enough for children to play in? Was it smaller than that even? A model of a castle maybe using sand? She'd gotten a bit lost in her thoughts as she gazed thoughtfully at her belly.
-"But, first, why don't we find a quiet place to just enjoy the morning, hm?"-
Guyy's voice broke into her musings fingers captured her gently and easily drew her gaze to capture his a smile tugged at the corners of her lips in reply, her lids fell to cover her eyes as their lips met, she could feel her cheeks taking on a very slight hue of pink as he spoiled her with such tenderness.
Kaori was so...
...so very lucky.
A soft purr quietly rumbled from her as their lips parted hesitatingly. Her eyes lifted halfway, the sun was just so warm and the sand seemed to give off a comforting heat as well. "Mm.. " she nodded finally to his question with a smile that just wouldn't fade from her lips. "..lead the way love."
Down along the beach line Raven flew trying his best to dodge Jack and make his flight path as confusing as possible, to no avail apparently the smaller fiery bird definitely had him out maneuvered in all ways imaginable. He had an easier time of playing with Jack in the air as a bat rather than the bird he was nicknamed for.
Diving into the sparse tree line he curved his back and beat the air hard with his wings to kill his momentum and perch on a thick branch, his head flicked as he sized it up and thinking better of it he hopped from the branch and let himself fall to the ground... well sort of, he didn't land hard or anything. Jack would have to navigate the branches, looking up he saw the flash of red in pursuit and resumed his normal form. After all he couldn't really talk properly as an animal and didn't possess any telepathy to communicate with either. He sat leaning against the trunk of a tree and facing the beach waiting for the red head to join him.

Judging by her soft look of confusion she really had no idea of what a sandcastle was at all. But still, she was born of a different race, a different time. Neither of them had really had much time for childhood, he supposed, but he had been lucky to spend his early years with a normal human mother who taught him normal human things. He had learned games and how to play. He had no idea what she had learned, aside from how to fight.
Their children would have the best of both worlds. Harmony and skill, play and training. They would be the fiercest creatures in Gaia, and also the happiest if he had anything to do with it. But first, he'd have to teach their mother a few things it would seem. He chuckled softly as she joined in with the laugh of amusement.
When they pulled apart from the kiss he gazed down at her lovingly, giving her a light nod. It had been a long time since he was last here, but he remembered a spot some way along the beach that was secluded and caught the sun nicely. Hidden from view by a grove of palm trees there was a small hidden tropical garden, complete with small fountains, cultured gardens and a gazebo for shade. He remembered it being originally built for the lady of the house, with an excellent view of the shore. It would be perfect. Especially if it still had the suspended bed you could lower from the ceiling. He remembered that being the perfect place to relax.
"Come on then, before we get caught up in some game or other." He smiled, taking her arm in his and leading her past the playing children and along the shore.
Jack was remarkably nimble in the air in his bird form, quite unlike his methods on land. He showed nothing but skill and grace in the sky, most of it strangely instinctive to him. He wheeled around Raven, making sharp turns and never letting him get too far ahead or behind. It was a game, and it was a dance, and it was something more too. It would have been easy to mistake it for a courtship display, if one had studied birds.
Raven dived into the canopy and Jack followed, weaving between the branches as best he could. He flapped right over the top of him before realising he had changed forms again. The phoenix was forced to circle and dodge as he tried to find a way to the ground. He trilled and called to Raven as he flew before finally slowing himself and managing to drop between the branches to the forest floor.
Human feet met the soft moss beneath him as he matched Raven's form. He was a short walk away, just in view of him. He smiled and stretched out as he weaved his way towards the blond, flexing his back. There were few things enjoyable than a chase like that, forcing him to use muscles rarely used. "You're a hard one to catch." He laughed, padding towards his prey.

"Right." Kaori smiled and nodded softly having taken a long glance back at the playing children, her reverie disturbed she fell in step beside her love as they made their way along the beach slowly.
"Children will never cease to amaze me... " she murmured softly a smile upon her lips, she found joy in watching them always and almost felt estranged by them at the same time. Indeed her childhood had been very different. She'd grown in a deep jungle, no beaches or the like, she had other games to keep her busy. Like hide and seek, among other things.
It was a very different era.
She almost sighed as her gaze lingered on the sea and her thoughts traveled back to the time of kitten-hood, but just then, as she shifted her sights, thicker greenery could be seen. Set apart from the rest were a line of palm trees and as they drew loser, he led her towards it. "Where are we go--- oooh.. milove..." she didn't hold her breath.. she took in the sweet aroma of the air instead with closed eyes. A slow smile pulled at her lips, and yet she still hadn't seen the best part, but she'd follow him anywhere at this moment so long as it was deeper into the lushness that reminded her further of home.
---
That trill of Jack's as he past by and circled around almost sounded as if the phoenix had been either surprised or upset at Raven's trickery.
The blond chuckled. "I've had years of practice. You'll get there much quicker than I did. And you'll end up surpassing me, I'm only a raven after all." he smirked up at the man. "I suppose a fire bird like you wouldn't care much for swimming?" he questioned making it sound more like a statement than a question.

"Hm?" Guyy smiled down at her as they walked, his ruby eyes following her gaze. The children laughed and frolicked without a care in the world. Farclimber was blinking them above the sea to splash into it. Squeals of giggles filled the air, mingling with the surf. He smiled softly, with great adoration for those playing youngsters. "Yes, they are amazing in their own way." he nodded in agreement.
They left a trail of footprints in the sand as they walked, the sounds of children enjoying themselves gradually becoming faint background noises. He thought back to his childhood, first in the fields and meadows of the small village he'd been raised in, and then in Durem. His mother had taken him to the beach every summer and he had thrived in the sun. He had also been pretty good at hide and seek.
Of course, the games would be much harder these days. Especially with the talents displayed by even the children of the clan.
He chuckled softly to himself as she spotted the gardens. he knew they would be perfect for her. The scent of thick jungle flowers filled the air, and some of the trees hung heavily with wild fruits. The trickling of water rippled through the air with the aroma, giving the place a serene feel. He took her gently and led her deeper into the garden, past a reflecting pool and along winding pathways up towards the gazebo.
"You like it? When I remembered this place it reminded me of your sanctuary." he murmured to her softly. The trees closed around them until they had every appearance of being deep in tropical jungle, aside from the occasional sculpture or bench here and there. The gazebo overlooked it all, so she'd have a perfect view of both the tropical gardens and the sea in the background once he led her up to the shaded interior.
--
Jack was surprised, but also amused at Raven's little trick. The soft calls and trills were both chastising and chuckling at the same time. It had taken him a while to find a place to land but it was worth it. He danced up to his blond flight partner, smiling.
"You think? I don't think I could surpass you really. I mean, you can do much more than just a raven!" Jack giggled cheerfully. "I can't run through the fields on hooves like you can. I just fly and burn things." He tilted his head, getting as close as he could to Raven without actually touching him. Yet. He wanted to.
"Swimming? I could swim a little if you want to." He replied happily. "I'm not burning at the minute so I'd be okay. I'm not a very strong swimmer though." His feminine lips pouted out. But if Raven wanted to swim, he was sure the larger man would keep an eye on him.

Alternating between watching her footing and eyeing where she was being led to the tigress slowly made her way along the path way with a sense of ease and elegance about her. As though she were merely drifting through a park with more than loads of time on her hands to amble anywhere she wished in the world. The smile upon her lips though was placed there only because her love was with her and they were rather alone. Something the pair of them rarely had a chance to be simply because of the clan and the library's daily functions. It felt like life had become one huge rush all of a sudden and she had been caught up in the flow of it.
Things were different these past few days, she had begun to relax, technically she due to give birth at any moment to their son and instead of being in a hospital or in the med ward of the library, being where things would be most peaceful and least stressful was a choice she didn't think she had the luxury of. This garden, with every deep breath that filled her lungs, eased her entirely, muscles she didn't know had been tense, eased and she began using less energy as she walked these beautiful, tranquil gardens.
"It... feels like... " she started airily drawing in another tropical scent in full bloom and smiled serenely. "... paradise... heaven.." she cuddled close to the Lord Shinigami as he led her along. "Thank-you love... for everything."
~~~
Raven considered Jack's statement of comparison as he got close. "Don't be turning up your nose at what you've got Jack. There's much hidden yet." The blond seemed a little more relaxed than usual, perhaps it was the secluded area.
I'm not swimming in this form, training.. If I don't use what I've got, when it matters that I know how to use it, I better not be trying to figure out how it works. " he smirked. "How do you feel about swimming with a dolphin?"
He walked them both slowly, giving her all the time she wanted to admire the greenery and scents. Besides, in her condition he wasn't going to rush her anywhere. He lowered his eyes for a moment, taking a breath or two just to feel her and their son beside him. She was relaxing, he could sense that. And she wasn't the only one. He smiled as the child inside her seemed to relax too, as if taking cues from her.
He was more than ready to come out, he knew. He'd turned himself already. The snake wouldn't be surprised if he was born within the week. Once they had relaxed here for the day he would have to ensure things were ready for his arrival. He wasn't too sure on timing - all he had to go by were books and so far Kaori had defied many of them - but he suspected it would be a matter of days now. He had a lot to do.
But at least they were here, where it was peaceful. He knew she would not be able to relax in a human hospital. And that would have come with its own complications. He wasn't sure what to expect from her during birth, and who knew what the child would actually be like? Sensing him was not the same as seeing him after all. There could be any manner of physical cues that he was not human, enough to get the doctor's attention anyway. And the library medical bay would not have been too relaxing either. The kids would have been running around and Aya would have been fussing... not to mention himself. Here, they could take a breather and calm down. And it was private.
He reached out and plucked a ripe mango from a tree as they passed, keeping his other hand firmly on his beloved to help guide her along. He held her close as she cuddled against him. It really was quite blissful. Eventually they arrived at the gazebo and he let her go so that she could look around and take a seat if she needed it. Meanwhile he took out his knife and began cutting into the fruit. "Eden." he remarked. "That's what they called it. The Garden of Eden. It seems fitting, if you ask me. And here we are, not quite Adam and Eve, but at least we have the snake." He chuckled, holding out the cut fruit to her as he took a piece for himself. He never let her get too far away from him.
"You don't need to thank me for anything. I owe you more than you know." He smiled softly, ducking his head to plant a kiss on the tip of her tapered ear before adding another on the corner of her lips. "I love you." he breathed softly.
--
Jack smiled and ducked his head for a moment bashfully. A little warmth in the area confirmed the little redhead was blushing softly at Raven's kind words. He did seem relaxed today. It was nice for Jack to see him that way. He was so used to the blond being stiff and reserved. He stepped forward and placed a hand on his bicep, gazing up at him with shining emerald eyes.
"Training?" He tilted his head and regarded the taller man for a moment, his look of curiosity turning into a wide grin as Raven made his suggestion. The DJ knew fine well how much he loved getting to play with his transformations, ever since the first time he had gotten to ride Raven as a horse. He'd felt so close to him then, racing along at high speed and feeling his muscles beneath his skin as his hooves pounded into the ground, the little redhead clinging close against him.
"A dolphin? Really?! Oh Raven, I would really like that! Can I, please?" he smiled wide in excitement. Raven was spoiling him today it seemed. First a flight and now a swim with his dolphin form. The smaller male giggled eagerly.
Glad that they had arrived at the gazebo, the white haired tigress took a seat looking out to the sea. "Eden... human religious lore.. who knows, maybe the place was real once." she smirked as though lost in the thought, maybe she did know something about it but it wasn't something she could give insight on apparently.
Gingerly she was brought away from the beautiful scene by offered fruit, reaching out she accepted the slice of mango and kisses he left upon her with a happy smile, turning to catch his lips after that one placed upon the corner of hers. Tease. But she kissed him deeply and passionately for a long moment.
"I love you. And yes I do need to thank-you, you drew me from a world of misery and have shown me a world of paradise, not unlike this place. You owe me nothing, it is I that owes you everything...." her hand went to her overly round belly and rested there. "You even gave me life." she smiled softly in complete adoration of both her mate and her soon to be born son. "These moments have been a long time coming." she sighed softly as the slice of mango was slowly devoured and once it was gone, she licked her fingers of the juice with a cute little smile. "mm delicious." ~~~ Raven dusted himself off, standing up and as he did, he could feel the area become slightly warmer after his complement. Jack stepped forward placing a hand on his arm, Raven failed to flinch even in the slightest at the fond touch and the look in those emeralds spoke volumes to the blond. Jack was determined to get close and stay close... the blond tilted his head just ever so slightly considering just where Jack was getting this sort of confidence from.
Raven chuckled at the enthusiasm of his suggestion and nodded. "Won't go too deep, just where you are comfortable and I can check the area for any swift currents first so we're not taken by surprise. " he wasn't so slyly confident without a drink or six in him to reach out and touch but perhaps the more time he spent with Jack the easier he'd find it one day.
The blond blinked and the corner of his lips twitched as he gestured towards the beach. "Common then, let's go.. oh.. but I should warn you, this time.. I'll be leaving my clothes where they'll stay dry." he sort of turned to begin walking along with Jack towards the water and crossing his arms over his midriff and lifting, his shirt pulled free of his torso and was discarded on the beach. Shoes and socks were kicked off and well, yup. He was buck naked by the time he was walking into the water. Every muscle on his form was clearly defined, there didn't seem to be an ounce of fat anywhere on him. "You're about to see a kind of dolphin that is pretty rare.." he smiled at Jack over his shoulder.
By the time he got hip deep in the water he was already changing, he sunk down and the next anything was seen of him, he spy hopped, poking his head out of the water, a head that belonged to a Hourglass Dolphin.
It didn't take long for Raven to work out his tail, he blew from the blow hole, sucked a deep breath and checked for any dangerous currents near by, he leapt from the water a ways out to see how far he was from Jack and returned after a few minutes near him blowing again and taking another breath and the spy hopping in the water, flipping his flippers and clicking.
"Perhaps. I know Heaven and Hell exist, so maybe there was an Eden." Guyy smiled down at the tigress as she stared out over the water. He caught the smirk. He always had the feeling she knew more than she was telling. And he admired that in her, in a way. She knew so much about the world that she occasionally shared with him. And he knew what a real honour it was when she did.
He drew out the kiss for as long as he could until they broke away to feast on the fruit. He took a seat next to her, skin against skin they sat so close. It was comforting to feel her there, for him. Turning his head he smiled at her with great affection and fondness as she spoke softly. There was no mistaking the amount of love he had for her, and he didn't care who knew it.
"I love you too. You saved me from myself, brought me into happiness. There isn't a more content man alive than I." he sighed, adoring her serene smile as her hand rested on her swollen belly. He reached out to cover her hand with his own over their son. "We gave each other life."
From the outside they seemed to be nothing more than an average happy couple, soon to be parents. If most people realised who they were, there would have been an outcry against that child. But Guyy knew nothing but love for them both. He laughed gently with delight as she finished her mango happily, and held out the rest for her to help herself to. A mischievous smirk crossed his lips. "You know, he'll be here within days. Maybe we should make the best of it before he puts your body out of action for a while." the snake teased with a chuckle, looking to the swinging bed that hung from the ceiling.
Her condition certainly hadn't dulled his passions for her at least.
--
The little redhead certainly was confident lately. Perhaps he could see that veneer cracking, and perhaps it was the relaxing environment. Not to mention the frustrations he felt a lot of the time. But mostly it came from genuine affection for the DJ that just seemed to blossom gradually and comfortably. He had wormed his way into his life, Jack had even managed to convince him to accept him into his bed. Something he was endlessly grateful for. He hated sleeping alone so much. And he felt so much safer with Raven around.
And he trusted him fully to take care of him in the water. He knew Raven would never let anything bad happen to him if he could help it. So even though Jack was not a strong swimmer, he was confident enough that he would allow Raven to take him out of his normal depths and he'd just enjoy the ride.
Next thing he knew Raven was striding boldly towards the water, stripping off an item of clothing at a time. Jack stared. He couldn't help himself. And he had a particularly excellent view. His cheeks burned and he nibbled on his lower lip, emeralds tracing every muscle that pulled and stretched beneath that smooth skin. And wishing it was more than his emeralds following those curves. Sure, he'd seen Raven naked before, it was hard not to when you lived so close with someone. But it still gave him a thrill.
And that little smiled back over his shoulder... Jack shivered. Smiled were rare enough but given the circumstances...
He wafted out the small flame that took hold of a nearby leaf and hoped the blond didn't notice that little slip up.
Jack suddenly didn't feel very confident about undressing while Raven could see him. Not until he took a lot of very deep breaths first. He headed towards the water, peeling off his shirt and leaving his shorts until last. Maybe he could hop into the water before he embarrassed himself too much.
Suddenly a unique and beautiful dolphin leapt from the water and Jack stared in awe. He'd never seen one like that before. He knew who it was of course. He beamed and waded out until he was chest deep in the salty water, deep enough he could still stand and that Raven could safely approach without fear of beaching himself. As he came close he held out his hands, wanting to feel the new dolphin form. "You're an amazement, Raven." He laughed happily, full of almost childish delight.
Sapphires eyed the ceiling catching the frame of the underside of a bed. "Milove... " she laughed softly as her tail rounded on the Shinigami masters shoulder playfully, "My body is out of condition love, but my lips aren't." she was just too far along to want that sort of attention but didn't have any qualms with still making sure that he was satisfied. She loved spoiling him in any way she could after all.
"As long as I can rest, I should be back to normal in a week, it's fast I know. These gifts of mine are really quite helpful." she laced her fingers through his, purring happily. "What shall we name him?"
~~
The dolphin rolled on his side showing how the white markings had a horizontal hourglass shape to them, and with a shallow and simple short kick of his tail, gave the little red head a bit of a splash that hardly reached him more because he was aiming to startle and play rather than to soak Jack. Being just a little longer, Raven knew the pair would have some great fun, especially since he could give the man a ride around effortlessly, should he catch hold of his dorsal fin.
Rolling dorsal side up he blew and took another breath. It was certainly a different way of breathing that was for sure, and in the process drifted closer to the man within arms reach anyway and was fairly quiet other than taking breaths now and again, letting Jack explore his newest form.
The snakeman laughed softly and moved to wind an arm around her waist, hugging her close against his side. His scarlet eyes danced as he gazed down on her. All this, and all she thought about was his happiness. He smiled warmly at her in amazement. "Your lips are certainly in excellent condition. And funnily enough, so are mine." He murred softly. He pressed his lips to hers as if to demonstrate. He'd be way too nervous of hurting her at this stage for anything more anyway.
Not that he hadn't considered it.
He sighed and smiled as they broke the kiss, though he stayed close enough to her to almost feel her breath on his skin. He was reassured her healing gift would help her recover quickly. Just as her pregnancy had been quick because of it, in comparison to a normal human anyway. All the same, she would need a lot of rest. Perhaps even more than she had been getting lately. That didn't worry him too much. This was a good place to rest, and they had the whole clan surrounding them to help out.
As their fingers entwined he took a moment to register what she had said. Guyy blinked, leaning back a little thoughtfully. "Name? I had thought you... ha." He broke out into a laugh and shook his head. He leaned down to her belly and grinned. "Hey. What's your name?" He asked the bump playfully.
--
Jack gazed at the markings on the dolphin's side, his emerald eyes following his form as he played in the water. He was sleek and perfectly designed for the watery environment. Absolutely stunning, as his transformations always seemed to be. But that was no surprise. In human form he was just as stunning, if not more so.
The little splash in his direction made him giggle cheerfully and he paddled his hands in the water to splash back at the dolphin a little. He would love to play with Raven in the water. Or anywhere else for that matter. It was delightful to see the blond so happy and relaxed, and Jack hoped it would lead to even more play for them both.
His hands met smooth skin and slender fingers moved to follow the elegant curve of Raven's new body. He paused beneath the eyes to give him a little rub almost instinctively. It was hard not to treat his animal forms as mere animals sometimes, but this touch was more of reverence than on petting a creature. "Wow Raven, you're beautiful." He gasped, his smile never wavering. He lowered his head and planted a cheerful kiss on the tip of Raven's beak, letting his hands wander along his sides and fins curiously.
Her heart skipped a beat as his lips pressed to hers, she purred happily even after he broke away from her. She shook her head softly at his reply a pleasant smile upon her lips, there just hadn't been too much time available where she could really think on it. A little yes, but nothing decided upon.
Kaori laughed softly at her love's antics, if anything he'd probably only hear gurgling and maybe if he held his hand there carefully, just maybe he'd feel the baby kick.
~~
Something similar to the sound of clicking emanated from the slick dolphin at the complement and kiss of endearment. He waited while Jack became familiar, every curious touch he was well aware of and for some reason in his mind, accepting such was easier in one of his transformations over his human self, perhaps more because he expected it and realized that it was human nature to explore by touching.
Once more he took a breath and waited for Jack's fingers to find his dorsal fin, and with a kick of his tail he'd try taking Jack for a ride following the beach rather than heading out to sea. The kids would love to play with a dolphin, he knew, but the cubs and their claws? He was not going anywhere near them. They may try to hunt and eat him for all he knew!
Her heart wasn't the only one to skip. It was quite remarkable, after all their time together and all the things they had faced, she was still able to make him feel like a teenager with his first crush. He smiled up her from where he bent over her belly, lifting his fingers to cup her cheek and quietly admire her, though there was amusement in his eyes. "How typical of us. We prepare everything as much as we can, and forget something as important at that." he shook his head and laughed as he straightened up.
He could sense the boy within in. He'd been fairly active lately, squirming and wriggling around as if he was impatient to be out in the world. Even now he had hiccups. "It would probably not be a good thing to suggest that celebrity fashion of naming a child after the place they were conceived. I wouldn't be entirely sure what to call him anyway, and I doubt Shower or Kitchen is a terribly good name anyway." he laughed, joking around.
He reached out and rested his hand over the bump, able to feel the slight tremble of his son's hiccups through her. He gave both the child and his beloved a soft stroke of affection. "Shame he isn't a girl in a way. Eden might have been a good name...ah!" he paused in his contemplation as a kick connected with his palm. "He's strong..." He smiled, speaking almost in a whisper. Of course, she'd know that. It was her who bore the brunt of his kicking after all. He'd woken her up more than once recently that Guyy knew of.
"Well, we can't name him after my father. Or yours, I expect." he considered as he rubbed his thumb against her skin and marvelled at the power in such tiny legs. "And I don't know many names from your homeland, not really... Hn. He's such a little fighter. We should give him a warrior's name, like Kai or something. Rainer. Little Kicker." He chuckled quietly.
--
That was another reason Jack liked Raven's transformations. He never seemed to mind how touchy the redhead was when he wasn't human. Sometimes Jack had the feeling he was uncomfortable with the level of familiarity he often showed. But in one of his other forms he was patient and accepting of his attentions. And Jack treasured every opportunity he got to touch him.
He caught the firm dorsal fin as Raven began to move slowly, keeping hold as he carefully pulled him along parallel to the beach. Raven seemed to just be testing the waters with him, so to speak. The little redhead knew he would not be drowned at Raven's hand. Flipper. Jack giggled lightly and kept his head up, enjoying the ride. "Woo!" He laughed out loud, resisting the urge to throw his hands up in the air in glee.
Ah yes, Kaori was certainly having quite the fond time with her love, the woman was completely unmistakable with her too long snowy white locks and elven shaped ears, her sapphires narrowed like a cat's in direct light but the one thing that stood out most... was the mainly white and black striped tiger tail which at the moment hung lazily. She didn't even seem to have the energy to spare to flip the end of it that was somewhat a normal twitch.
They called her a half-demon. She didn't fit in with the world of humans that her mother was born of, nor did she fit in the realm of demons that her father had lorded her kind over centuries ago. A misfit, and yet in the clan she could fit in. There were other cat women similar, but she was certainly unique. And so was the love of her life. His ruby orbs filled with joy, delight, and even mischief had charmed her, not so long ago in terms of age for her and yet for him it may have felt a little longer.
Having been one of stone silence, she had come a long way in breaking that icy exterior, she was softer and it was Guyy that captured the wild spirit she once was.
A soft chuckle escaped her as he suggested 'Little Kicker' a cute pet name, but not something she quite had in mind. Something that would fit this place, not her homeland or a name from a science center. Something that would be normal in Gaia standards that wouldn't be obnoxious, but a name that would speak of strength.
"I like both of those names.." she mused softly and tilted her head, "What do you think of.. 'Aldric' ? Add it to the other two? Which way sounds best? Of course he gets Myurr tagged on at the end. That's tradition. " she smiled and once more laughed softly.
In no time at all the dolphin was rushing a little quicker in the water, and if he felt his hand slip in the slightest he slowed down, he turned and headed back the way they came to where he'd left his clothes on the beach and when he was sure Jack had his footing slipped away to smack his tail on the surface of the water playfully, splashing the red head and squeaking as though laughing.
Guy gazed down at her fondly. The man was tall. Or perhaps long would be more accurate. He seemed stretched out in many ways. The muscles connected to his bones in surprisingly and decidedly inhuman ways, something a little more obvious now that his beloved had convinced him to take a walk without his shirt. And he basked in the warmth of the sun.
That was another reason he'd chosen this place to bring Kaori to for the birth. Though she was a mammal, he was not. And it was impossible to tell what their son would be when he finally emerged. Right now he felt warm and cosy to the snakeman, but that could easily be his mother's heat sustaining him. He couldn't risk him being born somewhere cold and it making him weak. The heat would provide strength, should he turn out to be cold blooded like his father.
He wondered what the child would look like. Would he have red eyes, or blue? Or some other colour neither expected? Would his hair be black or white? He and Kaori were opposites in so many ways. Would he be graceful and flexible, or strong and fast? He knew no matter what he would be powerful. But would it be with shadows? Poison? Would he be able to steal souls?
What if the wild card gene was functional in Guyy, as it had been in the Chimera? He could have any manner of power or mutation in that case. He might even be a Chimera. That would be confusing. But the shape Guyy sensed felt mostly human to him. It was hard to tell when the little baby was all curled up like he was.
"Aldric..." He repeated softly. He smiled and nodded. "That's a good name. I like it. Aldric Kai Myurr. Kai Aldric Myurr. Aldric Rainer Myurr..." he trailed off thoughtfully. "Kaori Yukiko Myurr." he laughed finally, hugging her against himself tightly. They would find a name. He stood up and moved behind her a little, placing his hands on her back and working a massage into the lower spine, right where the most stress was. "I just hope he doesn't fight with his sister." He laughed playfully.
Jack squealed in laughter as Raven picked up the pace. Always the dolphin was careful to make sure the little redhead safe. Which was good. If he slipped free in deeper water he might be in trouble. But if his hand even slipped a little, the dolphin slowed to keep him close. Jack pressed against his body, letting the water flow over both of them as their bodies connected.
They headed back to shallows and Jack let go, feeling his feet touch the sand below. The water covered his chest and he stood there confidently. Not afraid of the water or his inability to swim very well. Not long ago Raven hadn't been a very good swimmer himself.
He was splashed with the dolphin's fluke, causing him to laugh. The shrill squeaking was delightful. he splashed back with his hands, toying with his friend regardless of form. "Raven!" he giggled. And then he attacked, pouncing on the sea mammal and wrapping his arms around his form. it wasn't so easy with a dolphin apparently.
