"You make an excellant point. But it actually could have been a first year. Or rather, a group of them. According to my journals, the circle is big enough for 12 people. It may have been a mix of 1st years and others. It wasn't all first years, someone was smart enough to bring a crystal for a subsitute. It was also a fire elemental, due to the fact that the grass was burned. I could find out the person who brought the crystal by dusting for fingerprints... but that will take about an hour." Erik considered asking them for help. After considering the Invisibilty Cloak, Erik breathed a heavy sigh abd decided to ask. "Would you two mind helping me out? If someone's trying to summon a fire elemental, it means Hogwarts has a powerful enemy. I think you two would be perfect for tracking said enemy down. You're first years, so you won't arrouse suspiction, and you have that Cloak, too. You'll be able to get out of class and wander the halls at night if nesscecary." Erik calmy waited for their reply.

"Well, Fire elementals are... Well, it's tough to describe. Think about a human body that's entirely made of fire. The elemental is under the control of whoever summoned it. If more then one person is summoning it, the elemental obeys the one who sacrificed the blood. Or crystal, in this case. A fire elemental can burn anything, even things that are normally fireproof, like this castle... That's why I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off. I need to find who brought that crystal to the circle. Why? Because when an elemental being is summoned, it can be called without the need for a circle. Just a little blood, or a crystal, and the elemental is right there. I've called in a few detectives that I know. They're wizards who were schooled here, and McGonnagall approves. I must find the person who had the Crystal... That person is the key to this mystery." Erik takes out his fingerprinting kit, hopeing to find some prints on the crystal.

Erik considers the theroy while fingerprinting the crystal. "Well, my theory is that they snuck out of class to do the summoning. When they summoned it, Mr X(The guy with the crystal) commanded the elemental to give up it's name. Once you know the name of an elemental, as long as you have the Crystal or a little blood, you can call it wherever you like. However, I showed up near the Herbology Huts, forcing them to run and hide after the elemental was desummoned. However, they left the most important piece of this puzzle: The crystal. So the person who had this is now freaking out because the Master plan has been infintely set back. Bigby should be able to figure this one out..." Erik stares of into space while contemplating what's going to happen next.

Riorry listens to Eric and thinks over his words. After a moment of contemplation she notices that it is getting dark outside. She looked to Albus and wondered what he was thinking. Then she looks back to Eric, “so was there any finger prints on it? And what will bigby be able to do?” she begins to wonder how she’ll be able to help when most of what he said was completely new to her. She decided to sneak into the forbidden part of the library as soon as possible since she had already read her dad’s copies of the unrestricted books over summer and they seemed to be no help.
