Maku the Dark Sorry, but yeah, this forum does need a Reformation if threads bitching about treatment are being created by members who've put there time in. As I've pointed out in the other thread, an establish set of rules locked and sticky need to be created. These rules do not have to be all tightwadish, but seriously, a little order might make this community slightly entertaining. I believe Mods need to really step it up a bit and stop being friends and start moderating some of these folks. Yeah, I know we are RPing drows and s**t, but hell, even drows have a system of order they like to follow other than the whole Sadio-Masochist bullshit. I mean, don't get me wrong, some folks are doing their thing and yadda yadda yadda greatly, but yeah...when I look into a topic, it seems to stray off topic at least three posts minimum. As for the rules, they don't even need a keyword as long as it is one post, stickied to remain on top, and locked so no one can post "hijinks" in it, and it says in capital letters "RULES AND BEHAVIOR WITHIN THIS GUILD". Though even if you do have the rules, enforcing them is gonna be another biggie. My suggestion, three strike rule. Each strike comes with a warning, reason for warning, suggestion, and finally a reminder of the consequences for continuing to fail to read the rules. After third, temp ban, no arguments, except for a PM sent to them as to why they were resulted in a ban and a reference to their past offenses that lead to their temp ban. The term of ban I leave up to the mods to decide. Notice though it is a temporary ban. I believe Perma. bans are only for offenses that are strictly breaking TOS or those who get three temp. bans. Now don't get me wrong, I'm getting to enjoy plenty of the lulz being created from the flamers and trolls and the folks posting how upset they are about this. So either way this goes, I win smile Seriously, either side has my empathy for it is through disorder that chaos is sprung in which only the strongest survive and all that great mumbo jumbo. In response to this, and Angelita's comment above (aaand looking back to my comment in the RP tips thread) the offense and ban rules will be updated. I'm considering overhaulling the rules thread once I'm finished with my *cough*AmericanPoliticalScience*cough* final. ;D Okay, that was mean. Sorry. But yes. There are revisions underway just like the revisions to operations in the guild have been underway. And I will be reviewing each of your suggestions for the ban-hammer rules. I would like to thank everyone who is putting the [IC]/[SIC]/[OOC] designations on their own threads. If I put a designation on your thread you don't agree with feel free to change it. I will properly outline these designations (and I should have done this sooner, but RL is being a b***h) in a thread tomorrow or whenever I have the time. Perhaps it'll even be in the new rules thread. It's a MyStErY~~ ...(which means it'll be in the rules thread.)

Perhaps it'll even be in the new rules thread. It's a MyStErY~~ ...(which means it'll be in the rules thread.) HIJACKING EVERY SINGLE THREAD IS ANNOYING AS HELL. If you ask nicely to go back on topic, you get ignored. If you're harsh about it, you get yelled at then ignored. I have never seen this kind of nonsense, even on a pokemon forum filled with pre-pubescent snot-nosed pimply boys. There was only one HUGE argument there, and it was one my dad started with one of the self-proclaimed hot-shots on game mechanics, strategy, and competition ethics. Still on-topic. I posted a rather long b***h in the behavior thread too that should probably be looked at. This is all going down at a veeeeery bad time of the month for me, but there's some observations buried in all the estrogen-soaked agnst. XD And for the love of the gods PLEASE start actually punishing people! Warnings do nothing! It's like mom telling my brother 'just don't do it next time!' for the same repeat offense. When Dad actually grounds him, behavior changes (and dad gets yelled at. rolleyes ). People are acting like small children, start treating them like it. evil

A new Guild Rules thread has been posted. If you would like to suggest any more rules which are not already touched on please suggest them here.

I notice you have an unused subforum. Why not make it into a garbage bin and instead of deleting threads, just move them. *shrugs* It is a lot easier than deleting at times and if problems were to come up, you have something you can pull out and toss as evidence of yadda yadda yadda.
Such as in the God thread. I notice the post Draevir made requesting posts being deleted. How about just mass moving all the threads in the bin and then have the Gods repost their threads. That way you also get rid of some inactive Gods and Goddesses. Those who wish worship will just start anew.

So long as the gods are warned ahead of time in case they don't have the bio backed up XD. Vhaeraun's is on his profile too.
Also, just a little thing. Maybe have a sticky for people to post what timezone they're in (in GMT +/- whatever) so we have a bit more synchrinization on the RP threads. I've had the grump that half my house has to be in a different time zone since I'll wake up and there's three new pages. XD
Also a standard Leaving thread so people have a place to post if they're going to be going away for a little while. Every time someone's gone everyone's all "Where did you go!?" XD

XDMe (and my Mule-y self) have completed the red request. You'll find it Stickied in the main forum as "Portal Summons". How's that for turn around time? About the timezone idea: It's a good one, don't get me wrong, but there are a few people who are uncomfortable about giving out information about themselves. I personally feel as if this would be pressuring people to give out something they might otherwise be uncomfortable with (and for goodness sakes, this isn't me. I'd tell you my zip code if I knew it myself.) We will step up work on the God's Forum. (And I reaaaally hope that isn't the royal "we". >_<;; )

So, what exactly is the deal with the gods sub forum? I haven't heard much about these changes you've spoken of.

Masked Lord of Shadows So, what exactly is the deal with the gods sub forum? I haven't heard much about these changes you've spoken of. The mods are planning on deleting posts which are unnecessary and off topic to try to restore the sub-forum to what it could be. So far, because there are more pressing issues, very little has been done. Your comment here suggests to me that you would like the process to speed up, and I hope to get to work on that once I am able.

Well, it was less the speed and more that I wasn't entirely sure what the whole plan was.
I would assume the flame wars should take precedence. sweatdrop

What do you think about that new dark elf skin? It's not really DARK and evil, is it? Half the drow cosplayers now use different skin... should we all use the same? I disagree with light grey as Drow are darkskinned in my interpretation (black, dark grey, dark violet, dark brown), but of course everybody should take his own decision. Just wondered what you think.

I've been cleaning up old threads a little, and there is a lot of stuff I think that could be organized elsewhere. Do we have a Q/A thread/subforum? That might be helpful to some of our newer members and eliminate some clutter... also, if any more subforums are needed, I'll pay for them.

That might be helpful to some of our newer members and eliminate some clutter... also, if any more subforums are needed, I'll pay for them. I see an "Unused Forum" in the list already. 3rd down isn't it? Why not use that one, or is it being used for some secret purpose that we don't know of?
