Riku checked the map again, then manipulated a few dials. "Yes, hopefully..." he replied, his tone distracted. He studied a dial for another second or so, then spoke in a more focused voice. "It shouldn't be anymore than fifteen minutes, Sora. But if you want to get out the popcorn, feel free," he added lightly.

Sora grinned right back, his unhappiness completely forgotten for the moment. "Sure!" He got up, walked to the back of the craft, and began digging through various cupboards. After two or three minutes, and several avalanches of an astounding amount of junk, he popped back up, triumphantly clutching a bag in his fist. "His Majesty's self-popping popcorn! Observe." He walked back to his seat, and, facing Kairi, began shaking the bag vigorously. After a few seconds, a muffled 'pop' sounded inside the bag, quickly followed by several more; the next moment, the bag was swelling to enormous size and the sound of continuous popping filled the ship.

She laughed slightly at his child like behavior, but then again that was always Sora.
"Very nice." She said with one of her old smiles back.

The popping slowed, then stopped, and Sora, still grinning like a little kid, opened the bag. Steam rose up, along with an appetizing, buttery smell. He reached in and grabbed a piece of popcorn, popping it into his mouth before offering the bag to Kairi.

Akiko was running, her breath coming out fast and her stomach starting to get a little cramped. Even this short run had her tired out. Typical.
She was in a sort of a panic, but it was surprisingly dull. For some reason, she wasn't all that worried about what had happened to all the people. And what might have happened to her family.
There she was, at her house, which looked just as always.
But inside, it was eerily quiet.
Except for the group of Shadows waiting for Akiko. They looked up at her, expressionless, when they heard her startled gasp.
Akiko set her face. Adrenaline rushed through her from excitement, and yes, a little fear. Time to test her skills.

Riku rolled his eyes at Sora's antics. "Toss it up here, will you? I didn't have any breakfast." He checked the dial again; they had a little less than ten minutes until landing.

Kairi smiled as she passed the bag up. That was how it was suppose to be. Her and her two best friends having fun and relaxing. For the timing being she put the thoughts of the new world out of her mind and let herself enjoy the time she had with them.

About ten minutes later, Sora looked up from the all-but-empty bag; a blue dot was growing steadily clearer through the glass. "Ish at ih?" he asked through a mouth of popcorn.

Riku nodded vaguely, looking intently at the planet as it grew to fill the glass. Finally he glanced down at the map. They were looking for an island... "There it is," he murmured, almost to himself. The next moment the ship was zipping through the atmosphere of Earth, toward a large island close to a much bigger landmass. "The problem," Riku said thoughtfully as the island grew beneath them, "Is where to land."

Kairi watched as the land mass grew in the screen. It seemed peaceful enough, but she knew that looks could be deceiving.

Sora tore his eyes away from the buildings shooting up beneath them and turned to Kairi, concern darkening his eyes. He reached out and put a hand briefly on her shoulder. "Hey," he said, "This is the last one, remember?" He winked. "No chickening out!"
