Jumping the other side

"I kinda feel like going somewhere... but I don't know where" she said

Torvil smiled and nuzzled her. "Shall we see where the wind takes us?"

Ala shrugged "we could... or we could plan something and do it...." she had no idea when he intended to see his family, if there was something to be done in Barton or any where else for that matter

Torvil tapped his chin and thought. "Hmmm.."

Ala nuzzled his neck softly as he thought

Torvil shivered and purred. "Hmmm... Well I doooo have to pick up a package in Barton..."

"So what's in Barton love?" she asked as she started to walk closing her robe over her swimsuit as she did

Torvil smiled, "A thing for bump..."

"I see..." she said with a nod running her hands over the sizable bulge in her belly

Torvil smiled. "A toy... of sorts..."

Ala chuckled "I have a feeling that bump will be quite spoiled"

Torvil laughed. "Lucky bump..."

Ala laughed and nodded walking and soon seeing the shop and house

Torvil smiled and walked, heading into the house to get changed from their swim.

Ala was shortly behind him "I think we should do that shopping too" she grumbled after going through about 4 pairs of pants and finally setting for an elastic waisted skirt that could rest above her belly and going through many shirts having to settle for a large t-shirt "I look like a bloody hippy"

Torvil snorted. "Well I know a tree you love to hug..." He wiggled his brow at her.

Ala looked at him with a raised brow "Uh k"

Torvil shook his head. "Euphemism love... Think about it..."

Ala chuckled and shook her head "You know I hope Dia gets back from her quest soon, I don't think she even knows I'm pregnant" she sighed

Torvil nodded slowly.

Ala pulled her pouch over her head and arm "Ok, ready... as ready as I'll ever get" she looked down at herself "I can't see my toes... I'm fat"

Torvil walked over and hugged her. "no... Not fat..." he kissed her nose.

"I feel like it" she grumbled

Torvil kissed he ear. "That's a bump.. Not fat..."

Ala sighed "Ok...."

Torvil smiled softly. "At this rate..." He murmured.

Ala quirked a brow "What?"

"Bump will be here soon..."

Ala blinked "What makes you say that?"

He poked her tummy. "You look ready kinda..." He frowned. "But with this one..." A look of worry crossed his face.

Ala shook her head "Movements are still flutters, it doesn't feel the same, doesn't feel like bump is pushing hard against my ribs"

Torvil nodded slowly, the look of worry coming back.

"What's wrong love?" she asked softly seeing the look on his face as she walked over to him

"I'm scared..." He murmured, blushing and looking at his feet.

"Why? it's not like you haven't had kids before...." she reached placing a hand on his cheek

"Not like this..." He murmured. "Bump should be walking and talking by now..." He bit his lip.

Ala nodded "So bump is a little slower, he or she will be fine..." she frowned softly

"Are you sure..." His voice quivered, half hope, half fear... Small red tears were sliding down his cheeks.

"I took like 13 months to be born and I'm fine aren't I?" she asked softly trying to give an example

Torvil nodded slowly. "I guess..." He hugged her to him, and broke down, all the fear and worry melting away as he sobbed.

Ala bit her lip trying to keep a retort for his reply from escaping

"Sorry..." He said slowly. "I... Broke down before I could finish..." He pulled away slowly. "I was going to say... I guess that I was just too much of a worrier..." He sniffled loudly.

Ala sighed "Things will be fine love.... I have you, and I'll have the doctor when it's time too"

Torvil nodded and wiped his eyes. "Sorry if you thought I didn't think you turned out fine..." He moved over to her. "Cause you'd be right..." He hugged her. "I don't think you're fine... I think you're perfect."

Ala smiled weakly "Thanks love"

Torvil kissed her forehead. "Lets go my perfection..."

Ala chuckled and nodded heading for the door of the house

Torvil smiled and followed.

Ala looked down at herself once she was outside "I have a feeling people will be able to see my panties if I fly in this" she frowned

Torvil smirked. "And only I'm allowed to do that..." He said softly. He put a hand on bump. "Shut your eyes."

Ala chuckled and looked down towards his hand and closed her eyes

He shifted them in and out fast, now in the center of Barton. He shivered and swallowed down the vomit that rose from the massive exertion it had taxed him.

Ala stood still not really sure if anything happened besides the new voices around them

"Go ahead and..." Torvil nearly retched. "Wait for me here..." He ran off to the nearest Alley.

Ala opened her eyes and looked around realizing where she was

If Ala really focused, she would have been able to hear Torvil being sick...

Ala sighed "Why'd he do something that silly" she said looking for a bench to sit on to wait for him

Torvil returned a short while later. "Sorry..." he murmured.

Ala smiled softly looking up from where she sat "It's ok love" she said softly

Torvil smiled and offered her his hand.

Ala reached and took his hand and stood up

Torvil smiled and headed for the store.

Ala squeezed his hand and walked along side of him ignoring any looks they got

Torvil didn't, he smiled at a few that were giving them good looks, and on more than one occasion flipped people off who gave them the 'That's so wrong' look.

Ala hummed softly she didn't really notice his actions to the passers by

Torvil finally reached the store with a slight smile, which faded when someone not so subtly tried to trip him up. He curse under his breath, loud enough for only Ala to hear. It involved weasels, pants, handcuffs, a jello mold, and a stolen llama...

Ala raised a brow looking at him "What the...."

"Don't ask..." He muttered softly walking into the store and instantly brightening. It was... Dragon Toys... Everywhere...

Ala smiled "Ahhh we're back here again"

Torvil nodded slowly. "Yes..." He saw the box that he bought... It was about a big as the two of them.

Ala raised a brow looking at it "And how do you intend to get that home love?"

Torvil mumbled something about a transfer to other side and back.

Ala sighed, he was going to wear himself right out at this rate

Torvil frowned. "I'll have As help me.."

Ala nodded "All right, least I know he'll keep you from killing yourself, I know he already has once at least"

Torvil nodded and frowned. "I owe him a lot..." He seemed musy when he touched both the box and bump.

Ala looked at him "please don't tell me you intend to move us AND it"

Torvil nodded. "If I don't I'll end up using more energy..."

Ala threw up her hands and turned walking away, obviously the trip the had messed up a few memory cells in his mind

Torvil sighed. "Alright... Alright... But you and Bump first..."

Ala turned around "No... you take the box home first, in case you've forgotten this is one of the only outfits I have that FITS me" she said spinning around and storming out of the toy store

Torvil blinked. "Oh hell..." He frowned, and took the box home, was violently sick and then returned to an alley outside the store and was violently sick again.

Ala was in a shop meant for pregnant women, she chose a half dozen outfits and paid for them and changed into one after adjusting it for her tail and wings with a sewing kit she always kept with her in her pouch, with her purchases in hand she walked back out of the store and let her wings loose. She spread them wide lifting to the air, she had no intentions of letting him take a fourth trip through the other side.

Torvil was frantic, he couldn't find Ala anywhere... It didn't help that his brain was practically fried from navigating the twisted nether, even with Asmodeus' help, it still fragmented his mind, making his memories harder and harder to snatch at... Now he was just worried about Ala, who was the main post of his memory. He couldn't find her... He couldn't find her... had he... lost her? He curled up into a ball in an alley and didn't move.

Ala flew over the building and alley her large wings causing not only a large shadow as they passed over, but noise, her bags were no help at the amount of noise she made either, she wasn't aware he was down there as she passed over

"ALA!" Torvil cried, taking to the air after her. He had tears streaming down his face, he noticed her bags, but his brain wasn't supplying why she needed them. His eyes had that glazed look a four year old sometimes get when they're trying to remember something important.

Ala turned in the air hearing his voice, she was still angry at him

Torvil flew over to her. He couldn't tell she was angry. "Ala..." He frowned, seeing her face for a moment... Then finally said. "Ala mad?"

"Yes Ala is mad" she said "And she wants to go home now so she's not having to carry these bags all day"

"Ala give Torvil bags... Torvil carry..." Torvil frowned. "Ala no have carry..."

"Talk like a normal person Torvil, you aren't in demon you don't need to talk like a child" she said pushing the bags into his hands and turning towards home again

Torvil pouted. "Torvil... Talk like normal..." His head was starting to hurt as his mind started to defragment them. He winced, and flew on. Not noting the small amount of blood starting to leak out his ears.

Ala put it up with it for a while then got annoyed and spun stopping him, she didn't notice the bleeding either, though she wasn't really looking for blood and she pressed the palm of her hand against his forehead and gem hoping to 'knock' some sense into him

Thankfully they were half way home, because when Ala touched his gem There was a loud cracking noise and Torvil tumbled down to the ground from the air.

"Oh geez" she dove after him, she truly had no idea what the heck was going on

Torvil lay on the ground, gasping for air. There was a shimmer and a robed form was kneeling beside him.

"You dumb-a**..." came the less than muttered tone. "You should have told me you'd already traveled..." The robed figure swore and lay him on his back, looking up at Ala.

Ala landed on the ground "I'm gonna take a wild guess that you are Asmodeus" she said with very little emotion in any direction, sure she was worried for her mate, but she was also still angry

Asmodeus nodded. "Yes..." He tsked and shook his head. "And I must tell you to kick your husband's a** when he comes to... I don't care how much he loves you, what he did today was stupid..." He hissed. "One direct jump was enough to scramble his brain to scatter short term..."

"He did three today, one of them with me and our unborn child" she said

Asmodeus hissed louder. "Please tell me you stopped for more than a minute on Other side for a moment..."

Ala shrugged "I seriously don't know, when he takes me he tells me to shut my eyes, I don't know what happens till I open my eyes at the end of the trip"

Asmodeus hissed again. "Your husband is suffering for mind fragmentation... he tells you to shut your eyes so you don't have to navigate the nether..."

"I suppose that's why he was talking like a child" she said with a sigh putting her anger on pause

Asmodeus winced. "Then it's worse than I thought..." He knelt down and looked him over. "I'd give him about half an hour..."

Ala nodded and sighed a frustrated sigh "I think I may forbid him to do that for a while, he listens to me... usually"

Asmodeus nodded. "Did he forget something important today? You seem... perturbed..."

"Oh we went to Barton, he had a parcel to pick up for our child, he intended to take it myself and our child back tot he house. Course at hte same time he forgot hte other reason we were going, I needed clothing that fit." she sighed it kinda sounded stupid now

"Did he go through other side to bring you there..."

"To get there, yes... to get where we are right now... no I had no intentions of allowing him to make another jump. not to mention I almost left Barton without him cause I was angry" she said

Asmodeus tapped his chin. "You have all right to be angry... But I think you should also know that in his haste to get you here and make you happy, Torvil may have scattered his thoughts, having his memories shunted off in odd places..." He frowned. "One jump is usually enough to make someone forget something they intended to do first on a list..."

Ala nodded "He never has explained any of this stuff to me, just did it... Like to ease my fears of Shezar"

Asmodeus nodded. "That was okay... He took a break on other side... Its here that it manifests..."

Ala nodded "If I have anything to say about it he wont be doing straight jumps for a long time!" she crossed her arms over her chest

Asmodeus smiled. "Thank you... Seeing as he hasn't been listening to me..." He glared at the now whimpering Torvil.

"He better listen to me or he can sleep on the couch" she said glaring lightly at her mate

Asmodeus nodded.

Torvil slowly started to stir.

Ala stood with Asmodeus "I suppose I should thank you while I have the chance for helping him with Korvil by the way"

Asmodeus frowned. "Who?"

Ala's eyes narrowed when she looked at her mate "Don't tell me he lied about you helping him with his father"

Asmodeus' eyes widened. "ooo! That!" He frowned. "Yes, I helped with that... The name confused me... He's only named one person..."

Ala raised a brow "how many times has he asked for that help?"

Asmodeus frowned. "He asked me to erase someone..." He muttered.

"Erase someone?" she didn't know what this meant

"Remove them from existence completely..."

"W...who?" she asked "or do you know? and... did you do it?"

"Shezar... Was his name..."

Ala stared at him "did ..... did you?" she got the question out her face looking pale at the name

"Yes..."

Ala gulped abd backed away a bit till she bumped a tree that was only a couple feet away int eh small clearing, she stared at the ground

"He's gone... to wherever they go... if anywhere... Your husband asked shortly after he arrived... But I couldn't do it as fast as he would have liked... There are rules..."

"He did that.... for me...." she said not looking up feeling sick to her stomach

"Yes.. He did..." Asmodeus said nodding

Torvil stirred more... "Ala... I'm sorry I... forgot..." He muttered.

"'scuse me" Ala said and turned moving into the trees and getting sick, not only morning sickness, but the thought of Shezar as well

Asmodeus just nodded.

Torvil sat up slowly his Romani's had fallen off his face, and he rubbed his eyes. He then was sick... Twice.

Ala slowly returned still looking rather pale she stopped at he edge of the trees

Torvil looked up at her, then down again, his face contorting in shame.

Ala used a tree for support and sighed as she looked up at Asmodeus

Asmodeus stood. "Well... I'd best leave you two be..."

Torvil frowned, and wiped an eye.


"Long as you think he's fine now Asmodeus" Ala said

Asmodeus nodded. "Oh he's fine..." And with that he vanished.

Torvil still looked at the ground. "S-sorry..." His voice quaked.

Ala looked to Torvil "Why didn't you tell me what making trips through the other side without stopping partway would do" she asked not angry not softly but evenly

"I didn't think I would forget something that important..." He muttered. "It was my first time too..." He whispered. "I thought it'd take something stupid, like my mental note to floss..."

"Unless flossing your teeth was the first thing on your list to do then no it wouldn't take that" she said "Torvil.... I'm gonna have to ask you not make any more straight jumps like that unless it's an emergency"

Torvil looked down again. "Yes love..." He muttered, his eyes welling up with tears. He felt so bad about this.. About all of it... Making her mad... forgetting..."

"It could be worse if you keep doing it, I don't want to lose you any more then you want to lose me...." she told him

Torvil just nodded, sniffling. He needed a hug... bad... But wasn't about to ask... He didn't deserve it.

"Stand up Torvil, the ground does not become you" she said with a sigh

Torvil stood, but kept staring at the ground. "hug?" He murmured, barely audible.

Ala pushed away from the tree she was using for support and walked over to him wrapping her arms around his waist

Torvil hugged her as close as bump would allow, and then buried his face into the top of her hair. His body shuddered. "S-sorry..."

"Forgiven, just promise me you wont do any more straight jumps unless it's an emergency" she said quietly

"I swear... Or may you kick my a** out of the house..." He whispered. "Which to me, is a fate worse than death..."

"Thankyou" she said "Now lets get home"

Torvil nodded slowly, and wiped his eyes. "Okay..." He said softly. What he really needed to do was have a good cry... But that could wait.

Ala let go of him and took one of the bags and lifted into the air

Torvil took the rest and joined her. He'd have to pull her aside for a cuddle and cry when he got home.

Ala was looking at her hand while she was flying, she knew there was nothing ahead of her to run into

Torvil landed at their door a bit later.

Ala walked in just before him and to their room dropping the bag to the floor and felt the effects of whatever she'd done in the air, flying, draining some energy in anger and getting quite sick catch up with her as collapsed against the side of the bed

Torvil hurried to her, and picked her up, putting her to bed. "Sorry..." He said again. "This is all my fault... I was stupid and I didn't think..."

Ala nodded slightly closing her eyes

He crawled into bed and hugged her close. Before he knew it he was crying silently.

Ala opened an eye briefly then moved an arm so her hand was on his head and she moved her fingers in his hair

Torvil was still crying, he didn't notice Ala open her eyes, but he felt her hands.

Ala continued to run her fingers softly through his hair

Torvil cried on, letting all his pent up bad feelings flow outwards. Mostly it was for every time he'd made her mad.

Ala wasn't feeling very great, she was still a bit pale as she dozed off her hand still on his head

Torvil just hugged her close, knowing he was the cause of her current upset, and that just making it worse.

She dozed heavily, it was indeed a good thing she didn't and couldn't dream

Torvil sighed and closed his eyes, his face must have looked terrible.

It was a while before she stirred again, her finger moving on his head as she started to wake

Torvil sniffled softly, his nose was stuffed up from his constant crying.

"I'm wet" she mumbled glad the shirt she was wearing was a deep red color as she knew it was his tears

"Sorry... My fault..." He felt bad... Really bad... Curl up in a hole and die bad.

"Ok, we've had our sorrys, we've had our cry, time to get past the easily-depressed stage and consider it the past" Ala said not yet opening her eyes

"Okay..." not that he sounded any better. He needed comfort, now. He knew he was being foolish... But he couldn't help it...

Ala pushed her other arm under him and gave him a hug

Torvil pulled her close, his hands and face going to her hair.

"I don't feel very good" she murmured in his ear

Torvil sighed. "Sick not good... Or just not good in general..."

"Sick as in, I barely handled the thought of what I saw happening to ... him... now...." she didn't /want/ to complete the sentence the thought of erasure turned her stomach

Torvil closed his eyes, tears welling up again. "I did it for you... I wanted you to know that he could never-ever come back again... and I made it so... He's gone... For good..."

"He already couldn't I wasn't going to let him out" she said quietly

Torvil frowned. "I know... But... but..." He shook, half angry, half upset. "He attacked you..."

"I know he did...." she said quietly

"I... I..." He just broke down.

Ala sighed and stroked his head listening to him cry

He sniffled loudly. "You're mad that I did it aren't you..."

"No... I'm not..." she said quietly

"I should have talked to you first..." He muttered depressed...

Ala sighed, it was starting to very slowly become a frustrated sigh "you did it for me, I just have problems thinking about what it means...."

Torvil stopped sniffling and hugged her tight, suddenly, it was as if nothing had happened. "Love you..."

"Love you too Torvil" she said quietly holding him

Torvil brushed her hair softly. "To be erased means no longer existing... Like dieing... Again..."

"I know love Asmodeus told me" she wasn't sure if he knew As had been in the clearing with them

"As was there?" He asked softly, and then frowned. "He was angry wasn't he..."

"Yes he was, and he called you a dumb-a**, told me to kick your a** when you came too and said what you did was stupid with a bunch of growls on top of all of it... then explained to me what you did not" she told him

Torvil frowned, his face again sliding towards upset.

Ala looked at him quirking a brow

"I just feel bad... about the whole affair... forgiven or no, this whole damn fiasco was my fault..."

Ala sighed "And you 'paid' for your errors, so lets get past it please"

Torvil nodded, letting it go. "Okay..." He nuzzled her, sounding better.

"Thankyou" she said sounding a touch exasperated

Torvil sighed. "I was dragging it out too much wasn't I..."

"'Yes considering I forgave you back in that clearing" she said

Torvil sighed this time. "So... Never mind..." He just hugged her tight. "I don't know how you put up with me sometimes..."

"I love you and you are my mate is how I do... now this wet shirt is starting to become uncomfortable" she said

Torvil nodded and let go. "You want me to take it off, or are you gonna..."

"You can, but don't rip it it's brand new" she said, the shirt was one she slid on over her head the first part stopped just above bump where it gathered slightly in the front to give lots of extra fabric for growth"

Torvil nodded and took it off gently.

Ala helped him with a small smile

Torvil made sure it was put away just as gently. He seemed a lot calmer now, more sedate.

"That needs to be washed, preferably rinsed too so the tears don't dry in it" she said knowing his tears were pure blood

Torvil nodded, and kept moving, out of the room to the utility room.

Ala sighed and lay on her back looking up at the ceiling

Torvil came back a bit later. "It's in the wash..."

Ala nodded "I should have enough outfits till bump is born long as bump doesn't get tooooo much larger"

Torvil nodded and came over to sit on the edge of the bed. "I love you very much..."

Ala smiled "I love you very much too"

Torvil looked at his hands. "I was wondering..."

"Yes?" she asked

"I... I was thinking of... Of..." He muttered low. "Getting a tattoo..." It must have sounded so stupid... But it was important to him.

"A tattoo? why? of what? where?" she blinked

He blushed. "Of you... On my back... Because I can..." He mumbled...

Ala chuckled "You can't see me very well on your back silly"

Torvil blushed hotly. He muttered that it was really only a thought.

Ala reached up and placed a hand on his cheek with a soft smile

Torvil smiled softly at her. "I'm glad we worked everything out..."

Ala nodded "Me too" she said softly

Torvil lay back down beside her and hugged her close. "I love you very much, and I want you happy..."

Ala smiled "I know love" she said rolled to face him

Torvil brushed her cheek. "Myst will be leaving soon..." He said softly. "I heard him talking in his sleep...:"

Ala nodded "I have a feeling I scared him off" she sighed "He certainly keeps a distance from me after I threatened him in that mood swing"

Torvil kissed her forehead. "Actually..." He looked around, as if this were a great secret. "He's moving in with Silly..."

Ala chuckled "And she thought she'd never find anyone"

Torvil chuckled. "I just hope she found the right one..." He muttered.

Ala nodded with a yawn "So do I..."

Torvil brushed her hair, not all that tired, but understanding she might be. He frowned. "The only women I've know Myst to consort with are... " He muttered grimly.

"Not a very good crowd" she said softly cuddling up against his chest

Torvil nodded and stroked her back. "He's in some trouble now... That's why I let him stay here... I know the kind of people he deals with, they won't dare come out here..."

"What he do?" she mumbled trying to stay awake

"It was more what they did... They tried to skimp him on payment... So he took the merchandise... Gave it to Silly I think..." He brushed her hair. "Sleep, I'll fill you in more in the morning..."

Ala nodded slowly and drifted off

Torvil lay there, musing for a time.

Ala's Journal

Dear Diary

If I have ANYTHING to say about it Torvil will not do direct jumps ever again. and if he does only in dire emergancies. I will not let him risk his life, I will not let him get close to leaving our child fatherless. He just better keep his promise or I will NOT be happy...

Torvil's Journal

Dear Journal,

... God I feel awful about it now... Really bad... I did something stupid, something that made Ala mad at me. I don't like it when she's mad at me... I've paid my debt she's says, she says I'm forgiven. I believe her... I really do... But I always have to do something when I make her upset... Somthing soon I think... A piece of jewelry or what not... Oh well, plan later, sleep now... Tired from all the crying...

Ala & Torvil visit the cliffs... again

Torvil was humming happily as he got ready to visit the cliffs, he again planned to spend several days there with Ala before they couldn't...

Ala hummed to herself, she too was preparing to go, she knew they'd be gone several days and was at that time gathering a bunch of crackers to take with them since she was pretty darned sure they wouldn't be findable at the cliffs

Torvil, who finished first, wandered over, purring softly.

"I think that should be enough..." Ala mused looking at the 4 full boxes sitting on the table ready to put into bags "Now we need something to carry our stuff in... who are we staying with and mooching off this time?" she asked

Torvil chuckled softly. "Vina..." He smirked, going about getting a bag or four.

Ala chuckled "That should be interesting"

Torvil chuckled. "Mmmhm..."

Ala chuckled "If we go there often enough maybe we should get a cave of our own, like a guesthouse kinda thing" she said picking up the last of what she was taking

Torvil smiled. "Sure... I'll talk to Vina about it...

Ala took a bag from Torvil and loaded it up with her few things

Torvil smiled and shouldered his bag.

Ala was glad most of her cargo was light since it was crackers, she wasn't taking much with her.

Torvil purred and headed for the door. "Oops..." He muttered seeing how late it was growing.

Ala laughed "Well we'll be flying in the night then" she says glad it had been fairly warm but reaching for a small shoulder cloak she had gotten in Kazeha anyways, it was only really long enough to reach just past her elbows

Torvil smiled and put on his fur cuffed jacket, his wings slid out of the zipper seams in the back. "We'll be a day late..." He said softly. "But that's okay..."

Ala nodded "yup" she slightly envied that he was able to wear his jacket and she couldn't wear her matching one since she was too large for it

Torvil walked over and kissed her forehead. "Lets go..."

Ala nodded and headed out of the house and into the shop to say goodbye to the keeper let her know they were heading out

Torvil waited looked up at the slowly fading light.

Ala was gone only a few minutes before she returned ready to go

Torvil smiled and took her hand.

Ala smiled and let her wings out through the slits she had made in the small cloak "Lets go..."

Torvil smiled and took to the air.

Ala followed after him her hands resting on her belly

Torvil smiled back at her.

They spent most of the night in the air.

Ala stopped for rests every hour or so along the way, flying wasn't as easy as it was before she had conceived

Torvil stood on the branch as the sun rose. "Are you sure you don't want me to carry you?"

Ala chuckled "I'll be ok, long as I can catch my breath I'm ok"

Torvil nodded and looked to the cliffs. "Whenever you're ready..."

Ala nodded and took to the air one last time knowing they'd be there soon

Torvil followed after her.

"Almost there" she said with a smile

Torvil smirked and nodded.

Ala chuckled and landed basically in the same place they landed by habit

Torvil smiled and landed starting to walk to Vina's. There was barely any light, as the sun was now only starting to rise.

Ala followed after him taking in a deep breath of air

Torvil hugged her close and then pulled her into his arms, carrying her the rest of the way.

Ala chuckled folding her wings as he scooped her up

Torvil purred.

There were... Interesting noises coming from Vina's home.

"Hmmmm sure she's expecting us?" she asked with a chuckle

Torvil chuckled. "Does it matter?" He headed in.

Ala laughed

Vina and Joman were sitting on the couch, the noises came from a small box in front of them.

Torvil chuckled.

Vina turned with a blush.

Ala smirked "Good morning guys"

Joman froze, and dove to turn off the TV.

Vina's face went beet red. "We thought..." She mumbled

"That we weren't coming well we got kinda.... distracted.... for a few extra hours" She had to laugh

Vina blushed more. "I noticed..."

Joman had flipped off the T.V. of course, Torvil already knew they'd been watching the porn.

Ala chuckled and glanced at Torvil

Torvil smirked. "We want a cave Vina, could you hook us up?"

Vina looked up, a little more calm. "Sure..."

Ala smiled relaxing and putting her hands on her belly

"I could set you up now if you'd like... We have several..." Vina said softly, obviously wanting to get back to watching tv with her husband.

"That would be great, just tell us where..." Torvil smiled.

"Third cliff face, second level, fourth cave okay?" She asked.

"Fine..."

"Done then..."

Ala smiled "Have... fun... Vina" she winked and turned to walk out of the cave

Torvil smiled and walked out with her.

The interesting noises resumed once their backs were turned, even with Vina blushing like a school girl on Prom night in the hotel room.

"You'll have to lead the way I don't know where that is" Ala told him

Torvil scooped her up and started walking. "Remember that dream we had..."

Ala nodded, "Yeah the one I started..." she said softly

Torvil smiled. "That's where we're heading..."

Ala chuckled "How ironic"

Torvil chuckled softly. "Yeah..." he took the path leading up.

Ala yawned tired after the flight there

Torvil smiled and hummed as they entered an exact replica of their dream room.

Ala looked around and couldn't help but sense a feeling of deja-vu

Torvil smiled softly and headed for the pallet.

"I feel like I've already been here" she said chuckling

Torvil smirked. "We have..." He nuzzled her as he lay her down on pallet.

"In a way yeah" she sat up a bit ad took off the cloak and bag dropping them on the floor beside the pallet and laying back down

Torvil smiled and cuddled beside her as she lay on the pallet, his hand caressing bump.

Ala yawned and rolled onto her side and in very little time fell asleep

The next morning Torvil got up and headed out, returning an hour or so later. He put some things down in the kitchen area, and in no time at all there was the scent of searing meat.

Ala stretched and sat up blinking as she woke up

Torvil smiled and kept cooking, putting the meat aside and working on veggies and fruit.

Ala smiled and got up and walked to the cave entrance looking out and seeing the other movement that had started as people woke up while she had been sleeping, she sighed softly

Torvil who had now finished breakfast walked over. "Gold for your thoughts..." He whispered, pulling her into a hug from behind.

"I always feel overdressed here, even though I'm not wearing all that much" motioning at her deep red top and black pants

Torvil smirked and kissed her ear. "I'll take you to visit Mikiri once we're done with breakfast..." He purred.

Ala chuckled "I wonder how big Jokar is now" she said turning to walk into the cave again

Torvil smiled and walked back in with her. "We'll find out now won't we..."

Ala nodded and headed for the table "Ok if this will be repeatedly used by us this table needs to be fixed" she said pointing to it

Torvil smiled and nodded, walking over and looking it over. He tapped his chin, and then cut the legs down with a quick chop of his hand, then resized the table top to match.

Ala laughed "Ok that works" she said taking a seat

Torvil smiled and sat, kicking the excess towards the fireplace.

"Now... what's breakfast?" she asked leaning on the table

Torvil smiled. "Seared dear, carrots, and apples..." He said, bringing the large plates over.

Ala giggled "Catch a dear having breakfast?" she asked pulling her plate closer when he put it down

Torvil chuckled. "Or somebody else did..." He smiled, handing her the wooden utensils. "I stopped by the Bazaar this morning during the meat drop off."

Ala laughed "didn't feel like hunting eh" she took the utensils and started eating

Torvil chuckled. "It was just easier, and I wanted it done before you got back."

Ala laughed "I didn't go anywhere love" she said between bites

Torvil chuckled. "You were not here... You were in the land of the sleeping people..."

" Ok ok ok" Ala said with a laugh as she finished off her food "You win"

Torvil smirked. "Lessee... Once your done my sister will probably strip you down to your undergarments and call it good... "

Ala laughed "Who knows what she'll do"

Torvil smiled and nodded, finishing up his food.

"Shall we then?" she asked pushing her place away

Torvil nodded and picked up her plate, putting it in the makeshift sink, having not running water and all... He came back and offered her his arm.

Ala got up and took his arm, she was looking forward to a visit with her sister in law, this time she had nothing that would cause Mikiri to sock her mate in the eye or haul his butt across the floor

Torvil smiled and headed out for his sisters.

Ala leaned against him a hand resting on her belly, as she watched the people they passed and she gave them a nod of a hello

Torvil smiled as the people smiled. They were so nice here, and he noticed with a little surprise, that some people were... Well... His height...

"Things have changed a lot around here haven't they" she mused

Torvil nodded. "Yeah... For the better I think..."

"I agree, for the better" she smiled thinking back to when she first met him till now

Torvil smiled as they entered his sister's house... To find 14 yr. Jokar sitting at the table fondling a small flower.

"My haven't you grown" Ala said with a smile seeing her nephew

Jokar blushed and looked up, cupping the flower with one hand on the table.

Torvil smiled. "Yes, he has hasn't he?"

Ala whispered to Torvil though she knew Jokar would probably hear 'and I think he's got his eye on a female' she said after seeing the flower

Jokar blushed hotly, looking at his hand.

Torvil chuckled. "I'm not surprised..."

"Neither am I" she unhooked her arm from Torvil's and walked further in "Are you well Jokar?"

"I'm fine..." He smiled weakly. "Mom heard you were coming... Oh! Dad wants to see you uncle!"

Torvil blinked. "Ookay..."

Ala shook her head "How on earth did she hear we were coming, we only decided to come to your home an hour ago" she looked around for Mikiri

Jokar chuckled. "As in to the cliffs Aunt Ala... Vina told her yesterday... Said you hadn't showed up yet..."

Mikiri entered. "Oh! You're here!"

Malkar entered. "Torvil! Can we talk?"

"Sure..." Torvil was starting to get edgy.

Ala chuckled "We got a late start... distracted... we arrived at dawn today then"

Mikiri smiled and nodded.

Torvil was being dragged out by Malkar. "See you later love..."

Jokar stood. "Ummm... I... uh... Gotta go somewhere..." He ran, taking the flower with him.

Ala laughed "Well that leaves just the females"

Mikiri giggled. "Yes, yes it does..." She turned to Ala. "How are you sister?"

"Still pregnant, getting bigger, but otherwise I'm well" she smiled

Mikiri nodded and looked her over. "Can I... touch it?"

"Bump? yeah sure that's fine" she said moving her hand from the top of her belly

Mikiri smiled softly and put her hand on bump. "Jokar grew so fast... He's after a girl now... The one that kissed his cheek..." She shook her head slowly.

Ala chuckled "I wish him the best in wooing her though I doubt he'll have problems he's an attractive young man" she said as ump decided to move

Mikiri giggled. "I'm sure..." She smiled and removed her hand after bump moved. "So, what wonderful occasion calls you to my home? Social? Business? Other?"

"Well mainly social, though we're going to be at the cliffs for a few days .... and I kinda feel, well out of place and overdressed in a sense" she motioned her clothing that were nothing like the people here wore

Mikiri looked her over, then looked at her rather... Skimpy outfit. "Hmmm..." She sized Ala up, and smiled. "I think this will require a trip to the market..."

Ala laughed "Whatever you think needs done" she pulled at the hem of the poofy red shirt

Mikiri chuckled lightly. "Well we should head on out..."

Ala nodded "Lead the way I don't know where it is"

Mikiri smiled and headed out, going slow for Ala's sake.

Ala hurried after Mikiri, her walk had a bit of a waddle to it as she tried to keep up with her tall sister in law

Mikiri smiled, walking very slowly for Ala's sake, and looked down. "Hmmm we're in luck, little activity today

Ala looked down in the direction Mikiri was looking "Very interesting" she mused

Mikiri smiled. "Would you like me to carry you sister?"

"How bout I just meet you down there" she said with a laugh looking ready to step off the ledge

Mikiri just nodded, knowing of her sister's wings. She hurried on.

Ala let her wings loose and stepped off the ledge gliding down into the market below and landing where Mikiri should be able to find her again easily

Mikiri did a few minutes later, having run the last bit.

Ala had folded her wings in once again and was looking around her when Mikiri found her

Mikiri smiled. "Here sister..." She took her by the arm and led her to a booth full of clothes.

Ala smiled following Mikiri to the booth she wanted her at

Mikiri started picking through them, and putting them in front of her.

Malkar could be seen at another booth, talking with Torvil as they inspected the wares.

Ala didn't notice the males she was too interested in what Mikiri was doing

Mikiri smiled and finally chose a single strap deerskin top, and a deerskin skirt, two rabbit fur tops with matching skirts, and finally a rather soft and lush fur top and skirt, they were perfect fits, even with her belly the way it was.

The whole process of the choosing was to Ala an enjoyable experience, nothing Mikiri was choosing was of her usual style and that alone made her feel more in place there

Mikiri smiled. "Torvil will flip... We should getting you changed... Oooh..." She stopped looking at a rather revealing set of top and skirt, out of a black leather. "Oh! We have to get this!"

Ala giggled "I think you are having fun"

Mikiri smiled softly. "Yeah... Are you?"

Ala nodded "Yes I am"

Mikiri smiled and paid for all the clothes, including the black leather affair... Which Also proved to fit Ala perfectly.

Ala blinked "I could have paid for it" she wasn't accustomed to others buying for her, save Torvil

Mikiri giggled. "My treat... Repayment will be seeing Torvil's eyes bulge when you where this little pretty..." She tapped the black leather as it was packed.

Ala laughed "All right then" eyeing the outfit Mikiri tapped

Mikiri grinned and headed back towards the house.

Ala hurried after her, she ignored the looks people gave her to see a pregnant woman hurrying through the market

Mikiri slowed, having forgotten. "You sure you don't want me to carry you?"

Ala laughed "Only if you really want to, you've got all the bags"

Mikiri nodded and just walked slow.

Ala walked quickly beside Mikiri, "I'm kinda hoping to get to know about this side of me while we're here, I'm not sure what Torvil has planned, but that's what I'm hoping, perhaps I wont have any more curveballs thrown my direction if I know more"

Mikiri smiled softly. "Well for the most part..."

Ala looked up at her

"We're a people of hunting and healing... Our customs are pretty well... I'd guess you'd call us primitive... Courting isn't that big a thing really... But marriage is... It's very important..." She sighed softly. "I was very upset when you told me Torvil didn't notice..."

Ala nodded "Yeah I kinda guessed considering he throwing out, black eye and later lecture"

Mikiri winced. "Perhaps I did go a little overboard..."

Ala shook her head "Well, it's important I think that's what was on your mind at the time"

Mikiri shook her head. "Usually all that's on my mind is Malkar..." She giggled a bit and bit her lip. "Whoops..."

Ala giggled lots "don't worry about it, I get rather similar thoughts about my own mate"

Mikiri smiled. "Though... I kinda lost the urge when I was preggers..."

Ala blushed "I haven't" she said almost unhearable

Mikiri's eyebrow shot up.

Ala blushed even brighter seeing her reaction

Mikiri giggled. "Well now... That's interesting..." She looked Ala over. "And it doesn't?" She motioned at the bulge of her belly.

"It... goes to sleep" she mumbled still quite red

Mikiri laughed and shook her head. "Crazy..." She smirked. "Well then... Would you like access to the guest room? Or do you have somewhere else?"

Ala chuckled "Vina fixed us up with a cave for when we come for visits.... Third cliff face, second level, fourth cave I think was where they said it was..." she said not entirely sure WHERE that was

Mikiri nodded. "That's a nice little place..." She smiled as she neared her own home.

"It works" she said with a nod figuring she'd leave the 'dream' part out of it "Lets me feel like I'm not mooching off all my in-laws and kids"

Mikiri smiled and giggled. "It's not mooching, we're all a family and we happily share..." she walked into her house.

Malkar sat there with Torvil, they were having a hushed conversation over something on the table.

Ala chuckled and nodded "Ok, but none the less it's a place to call our home away from home" she noticed the males with a smile

Malkar looked up. "Hello..." He smiled, his hand covering what was on the table so they couldn't see.

"Hi Malkar, Torvil" Ala smiled resting her hand on bump

Torvil purred when he saw her.

Malkar grinned and stood. "Ohhh Mikiri love..."

"Yes dear?"

Malkar approached her and opened his hand, a small gold necklace tumbling from his fingers. "Happy Anniversary..."

Mikiri's eyes filled with happy tears. "I'd thought you forgot..."

Ala smiled glad to see the two celebrating another anniversary

The two headed off to their room, Mikiri wiping tears from her eyes. She had left the bags. "Here... Lemme get those..." Torvil said.

"Nope nope nope you'll spoil surprises" she said stepping between him and them

Torvil pouted. "Okay, okay..." He put his hands in his pockets and tapped his foot. "I'd think it's time to go..."

"I think you may be right" she smirked softly and grabbed the bags

Torvil headed out. "Are you sure you don't want me to take the bags?"

Ala looked down into the bags and found the one with the black outfit and handed him the others "You can carry those, " she giggled

Torvil nodded and took them.

Ala followed him "What's wrong? you seem.... quiet"

Torvil chuckled softly, and smirked. "I had a thought.."

"Uh oh... a thought... and what might that be?" she asked

Torvil smirked. "I was thinking... About getting my tongue pierced..."

Ala laughed "well that's an interesting thought, what's with all the desires to get piercing or tattoos lately?"

Torvil shrugged. "Guess I'm entering that rebellious phase that I missed out on when I was younger..."

Ala chuckled and leaned up to him "It's your body love" she said softly

Torvil chuckled. "No... It's yours... I gave it to you when we got married..."

Ala nodded resting against him as they neared the cave they just got not entirely sure how to react to his want

Torvil chuckled softly, and nuzzled her ear. "Hmmm... Nah... I rather like my tongue as is come to think of it..."

Ala giggled

Torvil smiled and entered the cave.

Dear Diary

We went back to the cliffs today, I really want to learn more about the Dragonic side of me. I decided if thats what I wanted I needed to not stand out. I had a blast shopping with my sister-in-law, it was neat to find so many clothes that fit me as I am now but also will fit me after Bump is born, and I swear I KNOW my mate liked them... especially that black number........

Dear Journal,

Reminder to self, Thank Mikiri profusely for going clothes shopping with my wife. The outfits they chose were very fitting for Ala, and now I have a wife that can acutally adapt to the cliffs. Well she already has... Suffice it to say... Wow, just wow... I won't go into details now, but yeah, she floored me... And well... Just Wow!

Meeting Visha

Ala was up a lil earlier then usual and not because of trouble sleeping, but rather she felt compelled to get up earlier , mainly by feelings within not by anyone else. she sat on the ledge outside the door of the cave looking out over the people below, she was wearing one of the everyday outfits Mikiri had bought for her the day before

Torvil woke a little bit later, and yawned. He rose and started to make breakfast.

Ala's eyes were watching the movement of the few people that were up and about and going about their daily routines. She wanted to get to know more about the kind which was now hers as well as her mate's

The activity mainly consisted of several males, and even a few females, heading for the cliffs ground entrance with spears for the morning hunt.

Ala smiled, it was in her eyes interesting to see the differences in how these people led their lives in comparison to how she did back at the shop

Torvil came out a little later. "Breakfast is ready..." he called softly to her from the cave entrance.

Ala looked over her shoulder and smiled then got up and walked into the cave "What's for breakfast love?"

Torvil chuckled. "What dinner was, but with pears and oranges, and the juice."

Ala laughed and nodded taking a seat at the table glad it was a height appropriate to them

Torvil purred and put the food out with a smile. "Hope you enjoy it love... I know it's not the best..."

"It's perfect love, while we are here this time we are living like these people do, it would be part of why I didn't want to stand out with my attire" she said picking up her utensils to eat

Torvil purred and sat down to eat with a smile. "I'm glad you wanted to immerse yourself... I'm honored..."

Ala smiled "I want to know as much as I can about this side of what I have become, and what better way then to live like others who are.. even if it's only for a short time" she nodded

Torvil smiled. "We'll have to attend service..."

"Whatever is normal to people here" she said with a chuckle

Torvil chuckled. "We'll start out after we finish eating, it's not far to the temple..."

Ala nodded and focused on her food

Torvil finished quickly enough.

Ala finished not long after having not being eating quite as quickly

Torvil smiled and put away the dishes, returning to offer an arm.

Ala smiled grabbed a handful of crackers and got up taking his arm happily

Torvil purred and walked out of the cave, he picked her up and walked towards the temple.

Ala laughed as she was picked up but still just relaxed into his arms munching on the handful of crackers she had "After I think I need some kinda pouch that suits my wardrobe to hold crackers"

Torvil purred. "Mmm... As you wish, we'll head down to the market after service."

Ala nodded with a smiled as she watched her surroundings seeing areas she'd not as well as those that were the dream world in her memories

Torvil purred as they entered the temple, same as in the dream. He sat down where they had in the dream.

Ala chuckled inwardly "Hard to say we are newly wed this time" she whispered to him

Torvil smirked. "Aww well, the whole service isn't bad..." The call to worship sounded just as it had in the dream and people started to file in.

Ala chuckled moving to sit beside him rather then on him

Torvil purred softly as the service started. It went on just as it had in the dream, and they sat through the hours long story of Visha.

Ala listened intently, whereas Torvil likely know it, she didn't

"And so it came to pass that Visha descended from the heavens and took one of the Dragons traveling as her mate. Their children were wingless, and the tribe decided as a whole to settle the cliffs Visha made below for her offspring. Visha then ascended back to the heaven's with her mate, and all was well." The priest took a breath. "Though life was hard, and many died in famines and attacks from large predators. Soon a clan of Lycan's came and inter marriage soon produced what we are today..."

Ala smiled softly it made her back shimmer just listening to it all.

"Now, even though our trials have lessened we mustn't slack in our efforts! The cliffs can be made better! The messiah has not yet come, the time for our ascension is not nigh!" The priest walked about. "There is a rumor that Council member Torvina is the messiah, that is untrue! Visha came to me in a dream, and said the messiah's time had not yet come!"

Ala quirked a brow and looked at her mate

Torvil looked to Ala and shrugged his shoulders.

"Visha spake to me! She said, 'Lo! The messiah shall not arrive on wings of feathers as mine art! Lo! The messiah does not walk among you! The messiah shall not lead you to the promised land! The messiah's time does not draw nigh!"

"Last time I heard her voice she talked like a normal person" Ala whispered to Torvil in a volume that was almost 100% unhearable

Torvil chuckled softly. "just let him rant..."

"And WE must remain vigilant! I hear the talk! That Visha was a creation of the council! A lie! Visha is our goddess, and any who dare question here will face their judgment!" Seemed like the priest had gotten on his soap box now... "The council was ordained to us by Visha! Who taught us all we know! Who showed us the light while we treaded in darkness! Love her! Who is our mother!"

"VISHA!" came the cry of the congregation.

"Who saw us fed when we starved?"

"VISHA!" again was the cry.

"Who saved us from wandering for eternity, and pulled us to her breast for comfort in our trials?"

"VISHA! MOTHER VISHA!"

Ala nodded softly, she didn't yell with the rest of the group, what she would give to see this guy's reaction should Visha ever show her self and say something about this guy's rant

The service ended after that, and amid the babbles of, "Mother Visha" and "Visha our savior!" Torvil quickly snuck Ala out of the temple.

Ala was shaking her head as they exited the temple

Torvil was frowning. "It didn't used to be like that..." He murmured.

"She watches, question is why she never stops it" Ala amused

Torvil shrugged, and felt a tugging in his mind. He shook his head, heading in the way it went, which was of course, towards the market.

Ala looped her arm into his and walked along side of him

Torvil stooped walking a few strides later. He turned and touched the wall. There was strange marking on it in old paint.

"What's that love?" she asked turning when she was pulled to a stop

Torvil frowned. "I don't know..." He touched the marking and the wall shimmered, Torvil started to walk, dragging Ala behind him as the wall gave way to them.

Ala stumbled a bit but followed after him, after all she didn't have much choice with him pulling her along

Torvil stopped when the entered a rather dark room. When Ala entered a light kicked on, and there in a chair, sat Visha... And she was... Sewing...

Ala looked around, more then a little confused at what she saw "What the...."

"Well took you long enough!" Visha huffed, standing up and walking over. "You could have carried her."

Torvil stared. "What..."

Ala blinked utterly bewildered as she stared openmouthed at the woman who very very much resembled any statue of Visha she'd ever seen approach her

"Oh, for the love of!" Visha rolled her eyes. "Ala, you asked why I didn't come down and show the priest what's what correct?"

"Uhm, I... I suppose.. I thought about it...." she said still staring

"Well I can't!" Visha huffed. "I've already used up my direct intervention..."

Ala's gaze shifted to the floor, she bit her lip not exactly understanding what was going on, but then most of what she knew of Visha was second hand info or from that temple

Torvil blinked.

Visha muttered. "Come, come... Sit..." She motioned at the table that was their size. "I've got a lot to explain I see..."

Ala glanced at her mate then did as she was requested and moved to sit at the table

Torvil sat down.

Visha sat as well. "Guess I better start at the beginning..." She looked to the two.

"Sorry, I wasn't born into my mate's kind I know very little about... you" Ala said quietly

Visha smiled. "I doubt very much anything they'd teach you would be accurate..." she smiled. "Lets see... Well I was born... I grew up... Got bored with divine life and headed down here, found me a mate, had kids, suddenly was being worshiped and headed back up..."

Ala nodded slowly listening to her

"Well, I used up my interference allowance with that..." She sighed. "I can't interfere directly... So I send the priest dreams..." She shook her head. "He only misconstrues them... Now I know how father feels at times..."

"So if you can't ... interfere directly... why are we sitting here?" Ala asked

"Because you're family..." She smiled softly.

Ala wasn't sure what to say in reply to this comment and gave Visha a weak smile

Visha smiled. "Well... Torvil is technically... But he brought you so it's okay... Don't ask, I don't make the rules..."

"Neither do I so I wont, I'm just trying to understand more about ... well about what has become part of my heritage too, I certainly wasn't born the way I am now" she said

Visha smiled. "I was impressed by that... And very happy when you two got married... Here..."

Ala fiddled with the tip of her tail in her lap "Nothing I controlled...." she said with a small smile

Visha smiled. "But nice none the less."

Ala chuckled softly "makes me feel closer to him..."

Visha smiled. "And rightly so..." She bowed her head. "How is my nth to the nth grandson doing?"

Torvil blinked. "Fine..."

Ala sat quietly, now fiddling with her bellybutton which had started to become an outtie

Visha smiled. "Well, I guess I should let you to go..."

"Ok... " she was still fiddling but not out of boredom, more out of not being sure what to say

Visha smiled softly. "Oh!" She stood up and kissed Ala on the forehead softly. "Have a good birth daughter..."

Torvil stared, his jaw dropping.

"Th-thankyou..." she stuttered "Not that I really know when that will be...."

Visha smiled. "When the time is right is when..." She nodded her head to Torvil. "I said I'd watch your marriage, and so far good job..." She smiled softly.

Torvil nodded and stood, taking Ala's hand.

"Yes... You'd better go..." Visha sighed. "Before someone finds out that I've been back here again... Oh! Wait!" She handed Ala the thing she had been sewing. "A blanket for the child..."

Ala took the blanket from her looking at it "Thankyou" she replied as she stood up

Visha smiled and nodded, turning she vanished.

Torvil slowly walked Ala out of the 'room'.

Ala let him walk her she was too interested in the blanket she had just been given for their child

The blanket was a black and red affair, and very soft, but other than that... It was a blanket.

Ala purred softly and folded the blanket so it was easier to carry as she was walked out of the 'room'

Once back on the path Torvil let out a breath. "Wow..."

Ala looked up and around realizing they were outside again "What's wow love?" she asked curiously

"Visha..." He muttered. "That was just... Wow..."

Ala draped the last of the folded blanket over her arms resting it against her belly "I haven't seen your jaw drop like that since... yesterday"

Torvil chuckled softly. "I think I like yesterday's more..."

Ala chuckled "I'm not surprised. but still... "

Torvil nodded. "Yes... I have a feeling that visit was important..."

"I don't think a divine figure visits anyone for no reason... " she was brushing the soft fabric over the exposed skin of her belly

Torvil smiled. "No.. I don't think they do..." He chuckled. "Nice blanket she gave us... Bump will definitely be happy..."

Ala nodded "It's very soft, I like it" she purred

Torvil smiled. "Then bump will love it..." He hugged her close with an arm, entering the market.

Ala smiled and entered the market for the second time that that visit

Torvil chuckled and then stopped. "Uhhh... What were we here for again?" He'd forgotten... Kinda easy considering what had just happened.

"Pouch... for my crackers, something that suits my attire better then the one that I use back at the shop" she said looking around still enjoying the feel of the soft blanket

Torvil chuckled and nodded. "Right... Right..." He tapped his head. "Kinda got scattered."

Ala chuckled "Well I don't think either of us expected that"

Torvil smirked and headed towards the pouches. "I want a turn with that blanket too ya know.."

Ala gave him a look that said 'Not right now you aren't' even if it was only to his back as she followed after him

Torvil chuckled. "Later..." He could feel the sharp gaze on his back.

"When Bump and I are done with it" she said moving closer to the merchandise

Torvil smiled. "Alright... You and bump first..." He chuckled and looked over the pouches.

Ala stopped directly beside him, "Hmmmmm"

Torvil smiled. "You chose..." He put a hand on the blanket for a moment, not to take it, just to feel it. He purred softly and smiled.

Ala looked at the pouches she knew he had his hand on it and she didn't stop him though she held the blanket snuggly against her belly. "I imagine that one would do" she said pointing at one that would match most of the clothing Mikiri had bought

Torvil nodded and paid for it. He removed his hand from the blanket to do so, and gave her a 'I won't take it I swear or you can hurt me' look.

Ala purred she still held it snug to herself but more for the fact she loved the feel of it's soft surface

Torvil chuckled and held the cracker pouch. "From your reaction bump is going to adore it..." He smiled, walking her back towards home.

"Why do you say that love?" she asked looking up at him as they walked

Torvil chuckled. "You're holding it tighter to you than you ever have me..."

Ala blinked "No I'm not...."

Torvil chuckled softly. "Alright, alright, you're not..." He moved to her side and put a hand on it. "It's very soft though..."

Ala nodded "I agree, I wonder what she made it of..."

Torvil chuckled. "I don't know..." He caressed the blanket and her belly through it. "Though there is something softer..."

Ala quirked a curious brow

"Your skin..." He purred softly, and caressed her cheek.

Ala purred and nuzzled the hand caressing her cheek

Torvil smiled. "Mmm... My Dragon..." He purred softly.

Ala growled lightly

Torvil chuckled, nearing their cave. When they entered he put the pouch down on the table.

Ala stopped and purred rubbing the fabric against her face then walked across the cave folding it and placing it on top of her clothing

Torvil smiled and walked over to it when she was done. He touched it for a moment and then stood, looking at her.

Ala smiled and watched him running a hand over her belly

Torvil smiled and walked to her, one of his hands joining hers.

Ala purred loudly and leaned against him

Torvil smiled. "I love you and bump very much..." He purred, kissing her ear as his hand softly caressed bump.

"We love you too" Ala said

Torvil purred loudly and happily.

Ala tipped her head up a lil and licked his neck under his chin

Torvil purred loudly and hugged her closer.

Ala moved her hand from bump and started nibbling the underside of his chin and the area of his neck that was next to it

Torvil purred louder and pulled her as close as he could with bump.

Ala's nibbled started to become rougher and closer to bites

Torvil moaned softly, a low growl rising in his throat.

Ala returned the growl, biting and pulling at the skin though not breaking it

Torvil's eyes half closed. "Oooh... You're asking for it..." his growl rising.

Wow... Uh, I really don't know how to react to this right now... At all... I mean, when dad told us we were decendants of Visha I mean yeah... I guess I was kinda wowed, but... Meeting her in person... Was just... Uhm... I can't really put words to it. She gave us a blanket... Ala loved it, and I loved it too... I uh... I'm holding it right now while I'm writing this... Ala's alseep... She probably wouldn't let me touch it otherwise... I'll try later maybe... But, yeah, Wow! So I meant my nth to the nth grandmother... She was definately not what I had in mind... Oh well, what can one expect right? She is a divine figure... But then... I can't help dodge the feeling that she calls me child out of habit... and not of genetics...

Home Again

Torvil woke before the sun again, The last few days had been great... But they needed to go home now... He sighed and sat up, then swore. All he had was the cultural wear, and that was not going to cut it for the flight home.

Ala yawned and stretched she opened her eyes and smiled up at him

Torvil smiled down at her and chuckled softly. "With all the things I brought back and forth from home yesterday I forgot to grab a change of clothes..." He muttered.

Ala chuckled and sat up "So what are you going to do about it?"

Torvil huffed. "With your permission, I'd like to take us home the fast way..."

"As long as we stop on the other side for a few moments I'll agree to that... I don't want you forgetting stuff again... of getting hurt" Ala said seriously

Torvil nodded slowly with a soft smile. "Can you get everything you want to take home with you?" He stayed where he sat.

Ala nodded and got up starting to gather everything, the blanket, all her clothing, the sculpture. She started to get dressed to go, her walk throughout the entire time was becoming more of a noticeable waddle

Torvil smiled. "It's getting close I think... Have you decided where bump's gonna be born when the time comes?"

Ala shook her head "Nope, depends on where I am when the time comes, read some stuff at the clinic about Gaia General, and I visited a Mednin with Dia last time I was in Kazeha.. I doubt we'll be here so I didn't look it up here besides the fact I think I know how it is here"

Torvil nodded. "So uh... What's our choices?" His voice was still a little nervous. He was still, in a part of his mind worried about bumps health, even with the proof that the child was healthy, this long of a pregnancy was beginning to freak him out. Made Ala beautiful yes... But it scared him that his child might.. Well... Yeah.

Ala stopped walking facing Torvil and started listing off the different things for the Gaia general giving a tiny bit of detail for the few options and how things were done there. Then she started telling him about her visit with the mednin and about the birthing methods they used which was water births

Torvil blinked. "Wait... Wait... Wouldn't the baby... drown?" His voice was laced heavily with worry.

Ala shook her head "No, they don't take their first breath till their face touches open air, until then they still get oxygen through me and the umbilical cord"

Torvil seemed to look relieved, and then moved over to her. "Well... If it's what you want..." He put a hand on bump. "You know what's best for bump..."

Ala shrugged "I really don't know what I want yet, It really will depend where I am when the time comes, cause I'll go wherever is closest"

Torvil nodded slowly and smiled, kissing her ear. "We ready?" He asked softly, rather wanting to get home, and have some major cuddle time... For some reason, he felt this urge not to let Ala out of his sight, or let her go...

Ala nodded "I think I have everything, should we say goodbye?"

Torvil shrugged. "If you want... I let them all know we were only stay till..."

"Hey? You guys leave yet?" Came the call of an older Jokar.

Ala chuckled "No Jokar come on in" she smoothed her shirt over bump, she had decided to wear her home clothes since they were headed that way anyways

Jokar entered and smiled, walking over to the pair. "Well the messenger has arrived, and thankfully on time. Everybody wishes you the best, and hope that your trip home is safe. They give their sorrows that they can't be here to send you off, but they have work... Or in my case..." He smirked and looked around.

"Somebody to be with, I know Jokar, you have a good day, and tell them we love em alright?" Torvil smiled.

Ala smiled and waddled over to the one bag she hadn't dragged over to the pile yet and opened it reaching in and grabbing a handful she walked back to Jokar "Go spoil her" she said with a grin dropping a pile of the 'change' into his hands

Jokar's eyes widened. "There must be like... twenty gold claw..." He muttered something about dinner and a new dress.

Torvil chuckled. "Don't forget jewelry..."

Jokar just nodded. "T-thanks..."

Ala giggled and tippy-toed giving her nephew a kiss on the cheek "You are welcome, have fun..."

Jokar nodded and smiled. Turning an heading out.

Torvil chuckled. "He's going to have a very happy girl on his hands..."

Ala laughed "here's not much we can use it for back home might as well let him have some fun, rest will probably end up in our hordes anyways...."

"Yours..." He said softly.

Ala chuckled and dragged the bag over to the rest of the pile "Well I think that's about it...."

Torvil nodded and put his hand on bump. "Make sure you're touching it..."

Ala nodded and reached to the nearest thing and put her hand on it before closing her eyes

Torvil moved them, stopping them in other side for a moment or two. "Go ahead and open them..." He said softly. "We're not going anywhere for about a minute..."

Ala opened her eyes and smiled at him happy that he had listened to her

Torvil smiled and caressed her cheek. "Love you..." He said softly, people just walking by them as if they didn't exist.

"Love you too" she said with a smile, her hands running over her belly

Torvil purred, and covered her eyes with his hand then moved it back to bump.

Ala purred softly closing her eyes behind his hand

Torvil moved them again, ending up in their living room when he was finished. He smiled and removed his hand from bump and then flopped onto the couch behind him.

Ala opened her eyes and looked around "Well I guess that makes us home" she said with a chuckle waddling around the pile of belongings and dropping onto the couch beside him

Torvil pulled her close and nuzzled her, purring loudly. His hand wrapped around her as he purred loudly, smiling as he held her, his eyes shut.

Ala cuddled into his side purring contently one hand on his leg the other on bump

Ala sighed and leaned her head on his chest relaxing, Bump was being rather active

Torvil smiled softly and started to hum. "Well now... What shall we do..."

Ala shrugged resting her hands on her belly feeling the movements within her that were definitely no longer flutters

Torvil moved his hand down to bump. "Quite active now isn't it?"

Ala nodded "Sure it, more so then it used to be"

Torvil nodded and smiled. "Wonder what it'll be... Boy or a girl..." He chuckled softly and shook his head. "Either one would be wonderful..."

Ala shook her head "I don't know, but whatever gender Bump is they are strong"

Torvil chuckled. "Of course their strong..." He reached down and lifted Ala up off the floor and into his arms.

Ala laughed "Their father is just as strong"

Torvil chuckled. "And their mother as well probably..."

Ala giggled and nuzzled him "Not as strong as their father"

Torvil purred and smiled rocking her in his arms.

Ala nodded "Probably... I'll going to visit Dia in a few days, she's asked me to come for a visit"

Torvil frowned. "I've got some major stuff in a few days... Are you sure you'll be okay alone? I can cancel if need be..."

"I'll be ok alone, it's not that far, and I'll be with Dia" she said with a nod

Torvil nodded. "You will send someone to get me if Bump starts to come though right?" He said softly. He'd not missed a one of his children's births...

"Of course, and I'm sure this one wont be a quick one like the twins were, so I have either twin I can send for you since they both can fly"

Torvil nodded slowly. "They'd better double time it... and I'll come the fastest way possible... But I won't straight jump... That I promise you..." He said softly.

"I can make the trip in 20-30 mins when I'm not pregnant, and I think they might even be stronger fliers then me" she told him

Torvil nodded slowly. "I promise to be by your side within five minutes of them getting here..." He said softly, brushing her hair with his hand.

"IF that happens... it might not. we have no way to predict...." Ala said

Torvil nodded. "I know love... But iffffff... It happens, no matter where it happens, I will be by your side as fast as I am able... and Visha help any soul that tries to bar my way..." He leaned in and gave her a deep kiss.

Ala nodded and purred leaning against him

Torvil cuddled her close, brushing her hair and humming a short and happy song.

Ala purred and yawned cuddling closely

Torvil smiled. "Go to sleep love... You need the rest..."

Ala nodded and quickly fell asleep in his arms

Torvil brushed her hair and joined her.

Is it bad that I'm worried? I mean, I'm a bit worried still, about how this is all going to work out. This isn't at all like anything I've dealt with before, and I'm starting to worry more. I've got some stuff I have to get done since I've been gone... But I don't want to leave Ala alone for a minute... But if she asks to go somewhere I can't tell her no... I'm stuck... Gah... I'll figure something out.

Ala Goes to Kazeha

Ala landed out of breath and slightly awkwardly outside of Kazeha's East gate and waddled towards it folding her wings in as she walked

The common site of the guards forming to check in the visitor could be seen as Ala approached. The new Captain, back on duty now that his paternity leave was finished. He stood at the ready, grinning widely as he watched her approached.

Ala stopped in front of the gate as usual "Morning Alix" she greeted her daughter's mate

Alix bowed, "Good morning, Ala. Its good to see you." He said as he wrote her name down and then stepped aside so she could enter. "Do you need anything, maybe a ride into town?" He asked, trying to be helpful to his future mother-in-law.

Ala shook her head "No, but thanks, This is how I get my exercise, Torvil tends to like to carry me everywhere so I get what I can when I can get it" she chuckled "Thanks though"

Alix chuckled with her and bowed again. "Have a good visit." He smiled after her.

Ala nodded and wandered in "Now, dang it all I wish my scent wasn't so messed up... " she headed for the town square figuring she'd determine Dia's location from there

Dia was waiting for Ala in the Town Square, not sure exactly what time she'd show up, and so Ala wouldn't have to hunt her down. She still had her 'issues' with boys, so she was definitely wandering all over the Square.

Ala got to the opening of the center and looked around it being the hub of the village it was busy as usual and she liked to observe, however what she observed couldn't help but make her laugh

Dia had caught the scent of one of the younger single guys and was slowly wandering towards him when she sensed a familiar tingle. She turned rather quickly to see her friend standing there, laughing. Dia turned bright red and approached Ala with a rather silly smile.

Ala's eyes twinkled with laughter as Dia crossed the square towards her "You never fail to make me laugh my friend" she said when Dia got closer

Dia let out an embarrassed chuckled. "I'm glad you made it." she said reaching forward gently to give her friend a hug.

Ala pulled Dia into the hug, her rather large belly made it a more of a sideways hug. "I am too, wasn't sure if I'd make it out the door without Torvil going nuts"

Dia chuckled, "what's wrong now?"

Oh nothing, he's been going everywhere I am, worried about bump" she said with a wry smile "I mean really I'll be ok"

Dia laughed, then grabbed her friends hand and started to slowly pull her towards the main road. "Someone wants to see you today before you get too busy." She beamed.

"Who might that be?" Ala asked with a laugh waddling along with Dia's pull

"Marissa Umaki." Dia said cheerfully, letting Ala's hand go and just walking with her.

"Marissa? I haven't seen her in a long time, been a few visits at least" she rested her hands on her belly as she waddled along

Dia smiled, very excited at Marissa's surprise, wanting to see how Ala reacts to it. "She's got snacks for us too, so I hope you're hungry." she chuckled.

"A pregnant woman NOT hungry? that's something I would like to see. I think I need to find a washroom too at some point, Bump is doing a right good job on my bladder" she said

Dia smiled, "you mean, like, now?" she was a bit worried as they weren't quite close to the Umaki's home yet. "We might be able to stop at the Grobel's...its on the way." she said, thinking out loud.

"Like soon, took me about forty-five mins to get here and another fifteen to waddle into the town, so it's getting about that time" she chuckled

Dia nodded and pointed to a rather large house coming up. She was sure Ala knew of it.

Ala chuckled "That works" she says with a nod changing her path a little to head for the door

Dia walked with Ala up to the Grobel's home. Dia knocked on the door and waited.

Suse Grobel answered the door, and cheerfully greeted the ladies. "Good morning Dia, and Ala, its so good to see you again!" she said, giving them each a hug.

Ala smiled "As it is for you, you are well I hope?" she returns the hug and shifts from one foot to the next not desiring to be rude

"Suse, can Ala borrow your restroom? We're on our way to the Umaki's but needed to make a pit stop." Dia told Suse.

"Of course, Dear." Suse smiled and showed Ala the way.

Ala looked grateful and waddled after her, she'd used it once before but it had been some time "Thanks, bump likes to press my bladder" she said with a nod before disappearing into the bathroom

Dia waited by the front door for Ala to return.

Ala returned a few minutes later straightening the hem of her pants as she came

Dia smiled when she seen her friend heading back towards her. "Ready?"

Ala nodded "Yup, hopefully Bump will leave my bladder alone for a while now"

Dia nodded, and held the door open. "Thanks, Suse, I'll see you later!" She hollered back as they left the house.

"Glad to have known someone close by" Ala said with a chuckled rubbing her belly

Dia laughed. "yeah, would have sucked to have to squat in the bushes." As they walked down the road, Dia sniffed and looked around. Nothing strong enough yet.

Ala laughed "If I squatted ANYWHERE, you'd be helping me back up" she watched as her friend sniffed the air

Dia chuckled, "yeah, I know, that's why it would have sucked." she teased playfully.

Ala razzed her friend, then sighed softly "I think I got used to the atmosphere and elevation and such of the cliffs"

Dia stopped laughing and caught her breath. "Is it different there?" she asked, having never been there, so she had no idea what it was like.

"Very different, no running water, no electricity , no higher technology, different kinds of currency. They live a very primitive life. I think it's a different elevation then Kazeha or the shop though" she said

Dia nodded, she'd heard of places like that. "Sounds neat. Its it up in the mountains? Kazeha's pretty middle ground as far as elevation goes...its how so many vegetables and fruit are able to grow here."

Ala nodded slightly "It's quite a ways from here, takes the better part of a day to fly there. It's where Vina moved, and now that things between Torvil and his family are much better we are visiting, we have a cave there so we don't have to stay in someone's place and have space to ourselves"

"Wow, a vacation home." Dia smiled. "And here I am still living at home." she chuckled.

"Only cause I don't really like listening to my in-laws have their intimate relations...." she blushed lightly

Dia laughed, and turned a little red herself. "How funny." she said quietly as she caught her breath.

The Umaki Farm's gate was only a few steps away.

"Lets just say no Dragonic at the cliffs makes any attempt to keep quiet during...." Ala stopped at the gate for a short break

Dia's laugh started again. She held the gate open for Ala, still wiping tears. It was only so funny to her, because of her current state of mind...and it was bizarre to hear Ala talk about it.

"Not that Torvil or I did either" she murmured passing Dia into the farm's path slightly pink in the face

Dia's pointy ears twitched a little, and she smirked. "Its weird to hear you talk about that stuff." she chuckled, and closed the gate, walking with Ala up the path.

Ala blushed "guess it's the mood I'm in, my moods swing frequently" she crossed her arms over her belly

Dia smiled, "Its not bad, just...I've never heard you really talk about it before. I guess...I should be able to look at you and just figure it didn't happen out of the blue." She chuckled.

Ala laugh "No Bump didn't come out of the middle of the blue..." she looked over at her friend, she always felt at ease with Dia

Dia blushed. She'd always considered Ala her sweet innocent friend. She had a hard time thinking she was any other way.

"So how have you been doing since I was last here? adjusting ok?" Ala changed topics before either of them blushed any harder

Dia knew her intentions were in the right place, but she blushed even more. "I've been ... ok. Its easier to walk around showing everything now...but ... I get tired of explaining to everyone what happened. So I tell them I ate a dragon egg for breakfast and it had terrible side effects. Sad thing is... some believe it. And those damn cravings and urges are driving me insane." she added that last bit quickly.

"I can imagine why they ask, you looked relatively 'normal' according to their books until you returned. But I'm sure it's a relief to at least not have anyone freaking out eh.... you'll learn how to control them eventually I'm sure..." She was remembering being being surrounded by the Guardnin when she first showed up with wings unfurled

Dia nodded. "Yeah, and I've been working on that heights issue too." she chuckled.

Ala grinned "I can't wait" she put an arm over Dia's shoulder "I would love to share the air with you on flights"

Dia smiled wide. "That would be fun." They reached the front door of the Umaki house and Dia knocked.

Ala gave Dia's shoulder's a hug then took her arm from Dia's shoulders resting it back on her belly with her other arm

Marissa answered the door, very cheerful and full of energy like usual. "Ala! I'm so glad you came! Come in, come in." She said as she stepped aside to let the girls in.

"Hello Marissa, long time no see" she said with a chuckle and waddled into the Umaki house her mind while mostly on the visit was wondering what was making her stomach bother her

Marissa led them out to the back, were there were a few of the ladies from around the village already present. They all smiled and greeted Ala when they seen her come out.

The Birthbeads & It STARTS!!!

Ala quirked a brow and looked at her friend upon seeing the others before returning her gaze to the ladies and returning the greetings given

Marissa put her arm around Ala, "We're here for you, Ala. This is a Kazehan tradition, and we'd be honored if you'd participate." She did little to explain as the other ladies would soon enough.

"Ok" Ala chuckled "Nice surprise, I get to meet some more of the locals my kids live with"

Dia chuckled and led Ala to the snack table. "Eat up." she said.

"There's plenty to eat, and we'll start in a few minutes to give you girls a chance to eat and visit if you like." Marissa said cheerfully.

Ala chuckled and took a small plate of the food, sampling a little of most everything "I have a feeling you were in on this" she winked at Dia

Dia beamed and just smiled, taking her own plate of food. She motioned for a couple of the empty seats that were arranged in a circle for Ala and her to sit in.

Ala laughed and waddled after Dia taking a seat in the final empty chair

After several minutes, all the other ladies sat down in the seats as well, and when it appeared they were all seated, Marissa stood and spoke. "Welcome everyone. Thank you for coming. We're here today to present Alatariel Rakamash with the Birthbead Necklace. She's having a bit of an unusual pregnancy and isn't sure when its due, so we arranged to do this as soon as we could." She smiled.

Ala blinked mid bite of the food in her hand, she wasn't expecting anything from these wonderful ladies

Marissa walked over to the table and picked up a large box and carried it over to Ala. She stood in the center of the circle of ladies and waited for Ala to open the box.

Ala put aside the plate she held and pulled open the lid of the heavy box staring in wide-eyed at the contents the journal looked old, but what caught her eye most was the long string of beads which she lifted to get a better look at it

Marissa smiled, watching Ala. "Ala, each one of those beads represents a baby that was born. All of us here right now, have a significant attachment to that necklace. That journal contains the stories of the births of all those babies." She said, before continuing on, to let the information sink in a bit.

"Neat, so many beautiful beads on this necklace" her fingers ran over them and lingered on any which had any form of a shine to it she purred softly thinking about taking part in this special tradition

Marissa continued, smiling. "Ala, by wearing that necklace until your baby is born, you are creating a special bond with all the mother's who have previously worn it. Dia told us she gave you a Perfect Bead not too long ago, do you have it with you?"

Ala's attention was pulled from the necklace by Marissa's question "Yeah" she pulled a simple leather cord out from inside her shirt the single bead was threaded onto it

Dia was excited to see that Ala did keep it with her.

Marissa smiled and nodded. "That bead was either created special, or chosen special, just for you. By keeping it with you, and focusing your concentration on that bead, even during childbirth, it creates you and your babies link. And after your baby is born, you add that bead to the necklace, and in the journal, you add the pages of your birth experience. You'll become part of a community, bound together by their link in that necklace. We're always here for each other, always ready to offer help in anyway. We're your sisters, Ala." Marissa was so excited explaining the Birthbead tradition.

A smile crept across Ala's face hearing the words of Marissa "Such a neat tradition"

"The tradition, Ala," Marissa explained, "is that you keep that necklace and journal until you learn of another expecting mother. You can present her with a bead, and then closer to the birth, the necklace and journal. Cariss Grobel-Hague here, was the last of our group to have a baby." Cariss nodded her head and smiled and waved to Ala. "Her bed and story about Heidi's birth are the last one's recorded so far."

Ala nodded running her fingers over the cover of the large book "I think I can handle that" she said with a smile. She looked up at the woman Marissa spoke of. "I would guess you are related to Alix" she took a guess

Cariss nodded. "He's my baby brother."

Ala chuckled "He's a very nice young man, I find it really wonderful my daughter is becoming a part of your family through him"

Cariss smiled, "Selene is the best! You raised a very smart, and caring daughter." Cariss was familiar with the rapid growth of Selene's family's race. And it was actually Cariss's idea to give the necklace to Ala, when Selene told her that her mother was expecting.

Ala blushed softly "Thanks" she looked at the necklace for another moment then lifted it over her horns and put it over her head closing the box for the journal and putting it on the grass after

The ladies all clapped and smiled. "Thank you, Ala. We're all very glad you accepted our little gift." Marissa said as she bowed. The ladies all started talking amongst themselves.

Dia turned to Ala, "I think the other's just wanted to be here, because they wanted to meet you." she whispered, a little surprised it was over just like that. She'd never been to one of these before herself.

Ala chuckled "Well that's ok, I got to meet people I'd never met before" she closed her eyes and sighed "blah" she said

Dia smiled, "Everything ok?"

Ala nodded "I think so, stomach bothering me" she didn't think it could be anything else as her eyes traveled over the talking ladies

Dia leaned closer, "you need anything?" she said quietly.

Ala shook her head "No I think I should be... fine..." she stared at the ground and found herself rather damp between her legs a moment later "Or maybe not...." she mumbled going a little red in the face

Dia was concerned, "Ala? what happened?"

Cariss approached Ala, wanting to talk to her, but noticing something a little odd. "Ala, do you need some help?"

"I think.. my water just... broke..." she mumbled almost incoherently closing her eyes as the feelings she had thought was a stomach ache got a little worse

When the ladies heard those words, they all became frantic and some went to Ala's aide, while a few went to call the hospital and make arrangements for transportation.

"Ala, what would you like for us to do for you?" Marissa asked.

"I dunno...." she mumbled "Torvil is gonna freak... he didn't want me to go out today... Least not without him"

The ladies could all be heard repeating, "We need to find Torvil" but none of them knew how to find him.

Dia put her arms around Ala's shoulders, "Where is Torvil? Can we send someone for him?"

"He's at home... Only ones who will get to him fast enough will be one of the kids, Torvin's been busy with everything, I think it's gonna have to be 'Lene" Ala looked up and looked at Dia worry evident in her eyes

Marissa pushed thru the crowd of ladies with a couple towels and handed them to Ala, "Cariss already ran to Selene's house to get her."

Ala took the towels still kinda embarrassed that it looked like she had wet her pants with something other then her waters... especially in front of the others "Thanks Marissa" she said and closed her eyes "Ouch.... and to think I thought it was a stomach ache...."

"You're in the presence of a bunch of women who've gone thru this already, you're in good company, dear." Marissa told her, in a very calm voice. "I have Sean hitching the horse to the cart now, so we can take you to the hospital. Selene will be here any minute as well." Marissa took her hand and gave a gentle squeeze.

"Least it didn't happen in flight" she mused trying to take her mind off her current situation

Selene was doing yard work at her home when she saw her soon to be sister in law running up the walk

Dia reached into her hip pouch and pulled a small decanter. "Ala, drink this, it might help." she said as she pulled the stopper off. It was a mild relaxing elixir Kito made for Dia to take when she got stressed out about her own current problems.

Cariss ran frantically, "Selene!!" she shouted, waving her arm over her head.

Ala took the decanter "What is is?" she asked putting the opening right up under her nose smelling, it was the only way she could pick things scents up

"Cariss? what's the matter?" she asked getting up and brushing her knees off as she walked towards her

"Its just a stress reducer, Kito made it...it won't effect any of your judgment, senses or anything." she said, knowing that most stress reducers do have those side effects. "You won't feel uncomfortable, either." she added.

"Your mom...at Umaki's...Labor!" She panted once she reached Selene.

Ala nodded and took a sip of the liquid within handing it back to her biting her lip looking rather uncomfortable

Selene's eyes went wide "Mom? what about dad? where's he?"

Dia took the bottle and put it back in her pouch. "It shouldn't take too long..."

"He's...home. She needs...him..." Cariss said still panting.

"Ouch..." she wrapped her arms around herself glancing at the others briefly, glad if nothing else she certainly wasn't alone and she was in the company of her best friend

"Oh crap... Cariss, catch your breath I have to take the shortcut outta here, Alix will probably kill me but what can I do" her wings unfurled from her body "Go let her know I've gone to get him..." She said and lifted into the air heading straight towards the mountain not bothering with the gates

Cariss stared wide-eyed at what Selene just did. She stood there and blinked a few times, trying to think if it really happened...but when she turned, she seen Selene in the air. She shook her head then ran back to the Umaki's.

Sean came running into the backyard, "The cart is hitched" he shouted.

Dia sniffed...she smelt Sean. She stared at him, almost getting up to follow until she heard Ala's voice and snapped out of that. "Ala, we're going to take you to the hospital, can you walk to the cart?" Dia said, her arms still around her friend's shoulders.

Ala took a deep breath and nodded "I think so, they hurt but they aren't killing me... yet..." she pushed herself up from the chair with some help from Dia she didn't dare look back at the chair knowing she's blush brightly if she did

Dia helped Ala a little way, but Sean came over and picked up Ala up, and carried her to the cart. "Forgive the forwardness, but I think it'd be easier on you if you didn't have to walk to and climb into the cart." he said, blushing a little as he carried her.

Dia got a good sniff as he was so close to her, and she followed him as he carried Ala, her tail swishing around happily.

Ala nodded gratefully "Thanks Sean" she said closing her eyes, had she seen Dia's expression or happy tail she likely would of swatted her

Sean set Ala down gently in the back of the cart, and walked around the side to get in to drive it. Dia followed him, in a little trance, not snapping out of it, until she bumped into him when he stopped suddenly. "sorry," she blushed bright red.

Cariss was running towards them.

Ala lay on the cart where Sean placed her "Dia would you get up here" she mumbled before concentrating on her uncomfortable insides

Dia climb up and sat by Ala, maneuvering in so Ala could rest her head on her lap. "sorry" she whispered, still blushing.

Cariss ran up to the cart, panting, "Selene...took off...flew...get... Torvil..."

Ala smiled gratefully at Dia, "tis ok..." she knew what was going on with her friend. She heard Cariss "Thanks, least she'll get there fast" then cringed and shut up

Dia reached for Ala's hand.

Sean started the horses going and pulled away, down the road, heading for the hospital.

Ala squeezed Dia's hand "Nothing like the twins" she mumbled

Dia frowned a little. "Its okay Ala. Torvil will be here soon, and then you'll be cuddling your new baby."

The cart steadily rocked and swayed as they made their way past the gate and onto the road.

Ala nodded "In the mean time.... you aren't going anywhere..." she said resolutely, squeezing Dia's hand

Dia cringed, but smiled still. "Don't worry, I won't."

Ala nodded "Thanks" feeling calmer then she had before.

The cart finally arrived at the hospital and Sean slowly lifted Ala from the cart and brought her inside. And of course, Dia following. She tried really hard to stay focused, but her genes said otherwise.

Ala's tail reached for her friend and wrapped around her wrist, who'd have thought the place she had visited on her last visit would wind up being exactly where she'd wind up

Sean set Ala down in a wheelchair that was ready and waiting for her, as a couple of the woman had ran ahead to alert the Mednin that she was coming.

Dia started to follow Sean out, but Ala's tail was still wrapped around her waist. The sudden jerk caused her to snap back to her senses. And she turned and grabbed her friend's hand once more.

"Stay" Ala muttered staring still at her lap one hand wrapped around herself the other was the one Dia took
