Kaliska gave him a reasuring nudge. "I know its hard but try to ignore her. She's odd even for a coyote." She took a fighting stance with her own spear. "Maybe if we stand side by side and try some less exuberant exercises with these?" she suggested. Kaliska was going to have a long talk with Nida soon. She liked Ren's company and was getting a little tired of the coyote's attitude with him.

Ren nodded before matching her fighting stance only beside her. "Anything that doesnt take me flying across the dirt." He moved the spear around testing the weight of it before he was gonna do much more. Stabbing forward he was careful to match his step forward his tail nice and straight behind him so as not to trip him.

Kaliska watched him and smiled. "Yep that's the idea." She tried a few moves herself still not particularly caring for using a weapon. She kept wanting to use her wings to steady herself but knew she couldn't leave them open and vulnerable. Following Ren's example she tried to use her tail to balance her motions. "I wonder when we'll learn some more about magic," she muttered angling her spear as if blocking before thrusting it forward to stab at the air.
