we sing songs as loud as we can. usually the back of the bus "sings" rap and the front sings oldies and anything else that comes to mind. one time we couldnt think of anything so to compete with the back of the bus, we sang the barnie song....oh yea that was hilarious. we had people squirming on the floor they couldnt stand it.
...you'd think band nerds would be able to sing on key...heh heh heh sweatdrop

Oh my god! Our bandbus is a zoo!! We have the loudest most boisterous people ever! Some of the couples makeout, listen to music, throw things at our assistant band directors head, write mock love letters to Jody (our band director, yes it is a boy) who is 34, slightly balding on the crown of his head(and he's gets VERY upset about it when we pick on him about it...which provokes us more...) think of new nicknames for Jody....by the way...has the band bus ever been a dressing room for anyone other than our school? Gah, girls AND guys strip to change on our bus...creepy thing is, our drummers go commando redface

well on our band bus our band director won't let us sing anymore but me and a trombone used to sing the theme songs to nickelodeon cartoons, we play fire and i mostly got stuck sitting with the perverted trombone player i mentioned earlier, us guard members usually fix each others hair and put our make up on. we just pick on people for the fun of it and they don't care. it is so much fun on our bus. i love it. sometimes it's scary to ride on the bus in the dark if you know what i mean biggrin

OOH! OOH! One of my friends brought an extra set of clothes in her backpack on the bus and on the way back (it was night), she began throwing the articles of clothing us to the front of the bus and teh busdriver started flipping out!! She pulled over on the side of the road, and she didn't even catch my friend...

Our band busses have been used as dressing rooms before.. Girls on one, boys on the other. Which is okay, I guess.. 'Cept for the colourguard.. Because of our uniforms we have to strip down to the basics before we can get in them.. Uniforms themselves aren't much better, come to think of it.. But yes, I suspect we've probably had boys look in before.. eek Other than that, though the bus rides are awesome. I normally sit with Andrew, who's like my best guy friend. He has a lot of musical talent, it's insane.. We always manage to get ourselves into the wierdest positions on the bus.. Kinda odd.. He'll decide he wants the whole seat to himself, so he'll push me to the floor.. I stay there for a couple minutes before I realize what's going on.. (I'm a bit slow..) And then when he won't move I just sit on him.. Things go on.. Then I somehow end up next to the window with him using me as a rest and leaning back on me.. Thing is, these things normally only happen on the way home from games, so it's always dark.. Haha, all of the people sitting around us made us do hand checks like every five minutes... Those got kinda annoying.. 'Specially since we never actually did anything wrong.

We don't have boy girl buses, but alot of our guys are perverts. Also, we call changing time NAKIE TIME!!!! We all strip down to our bare essentials when we are about ten minutes from our destination. I'm sure there have been cars who pass us, look in, and snap their heads away from shock. Also, it is fun to sit on the back of the seat to change and stand on it to put on your pants. Everytime you go around a turn eveyone screams and you just about get tossed to the other side. blaugh You guys should check out our band page for pictures of our very wild times. It's here! Pictures are here.

Since the only time we're on the band bus is to away games and the one competition we go to -- Salem Invatational -- some strange things do persue.
We supposedly have 'upperclassmen' and 'underclassmen' busses, but no one cares. We dump the percussion instruments and the tuba into the bakc of one of the buses and get on.
Sometimes we sing kid songs. Sometimes we play with our plumes. Or we'd yell at each other. Or see how many cars we can get to wave back on the highway.
But it's the after-game activites that are the most interesting. After a game we go back into the band room and start taking off our uniforms, when the percussion leaders (Kelso and Kevin) come running out of the drum closet yelling
"Does everybody know what time it is?!!" And we respond "It's nakey time!" Then, to the tune of "Everybody Dance Now", they sing "EVERYBODY PANTS DOWN!" and chaos ensues while they strip.

I wish we could change on the bus... *falls over laughing at the look on her BF's face* Ohemgee that would be priceless! *more laughter*
My band trips include: -Sleeping; or at least trying to. The tubas and percussion are singing loudly and off-key, so it's kind of hard to doze off. -Chatting with friends. -PDA. Fortunately, it's dark. If the band directors ever caught us... *shudders*
