The salamander tries to attack you, but it's attempts are useless.

Mimuri- 15/15
Giant Salamander- 20/20
Sierra- DEAD
Freeman- 4/25 +3 Magic +3 Combat
Norlamin- 30/30

Next round Freeman will attack and use living mist to prevent 5 damage and cause 5 (stopped by resistance) damage to you.
Giant Salamander will attack twice.
Mimiru stands their, just observing.

Seeing how Freeman was not affected by the golem's attempt at stunning him, the golem squeezes Freeman with his massive stone hands and then throws him down at the observing Mimiru.

Mimuri- 12/15
Giant Salamander- 20/20
Sierra- DEAD
Freeman- DEAD
Norlamin- 30/30

Next turn the giant salamander will attack twice.

Alright, seeing as the Salamander can't do much of anything to me, I will post my actions for the next two rounds simultaneously.

Turning to the giant salamander that had been futilely clawing at his leg the entire combat, the golem kicks it, sending it flying at Mimiru.

Round 6:
Special Attack: Salamander
Council Badge: Salamander

hp: 30/30
ap: 3
mp: 6

Round 7:
Special Attack: Salamander
Council Badge: Salamander
Punch (-1ap): Mimiru

The Salamander is dead and Mimiru can't do anything more because her summon is dead so she surrenders, you win this round!

((Sorry Fargore for the cut and paste of the next two paragraphs from Fury's tournament. sweatdrop ))

Design a 1LV (6cp) pet. Pets are like having an extra character. They always enter combat with you and if they die they can be brought back to life just like a character could. They also return to life after each quest.

When you enter the next room with your new pet you don’t see anyone waiting for you. You figure not many people get this far. All that’s in the room is the receptionist.

Your current rewards are 300 chips, Strength Potion, Defense Potion, Combat Potion, Goblin Patroller Token, Shop Ticket, 1CP, Goblin Juice, elixir, and a Spirit Bracer.

People you may talk to:
Receptionist

Or you may proceed to round 9:

Round nine will be against Evangeline.

Character name: Evangeline (54) counts as a boss
Attack: 10
Defense: 5
Combat Dice: 3d4 (5)
Magic: 2 (7)
Life: 50 (10)
Equip: 5
Abilities: Fury, Combat Multitasker, SA: Mind Slash (5)
Items: Staff of Magic Power (E5, +5 magic), Sword of Nine Clouds
Spells: Energy Burst, Fireball, Life Drain
Actions: Retaliate, Defensive Hold, Smash, Power Up

((Um....I'm confused about if you get the pet now or after the tournament. In Fury's tournament, he got it this round for next round. In Kail's tournament, he hasn't gotten it. Sorry for not knowing. I'm asking the minor and major DMs now. Sorry for the delay, I just don't want to give you the pet at the wrong time and possibly give you an advantage by giving it to you now when you're not supposed to get it now or give you a disadvantage by not giving it to you now when I am supposed to. Sorry.))

Actually, we may want the original creator of this tournament, Fargore, to do the last two rounds of this tournament. I would guess that he probably has a specific RP style and storyline with these final two rounds. I can't seem to find an example of any tournament in which Fargore did not DM for the last two rounds of the tournament and I don't want miss out on the back story he has been building up in these rounds. You have been a great DM Perrian, I just think that Fargore might want to complete my tournament for these reasons. So lets wait for now until he is back to decide himself. Oh yeah, I will purchase Spell Block, Special Block, and 4 Defense Potions for 400 chips before we wait though.

Ok, I agree. I will let Fargore do the next two rounds. I will contact him now to tell him. ^_^ It's been very fun hosting this tournament for you this far. I'm glad that I could host this tournament for you. Thank you for allowing me to host this tournament this far for you.

Your current rewards are -100 chips, Strength Potion, Defense Potion, Combat Potion, Goblin Patroller Token, Shop Ticket, 1CP, Goblin Juice, elixir, Spirit Bracer, Spell Block, Special Block, and 4 Defense Potions.

Good luck in the final rounds! ^_^

I want to do my combat posts in response to hers if that is OK. So just post her combat post and I'll post mine in response.

The massive golem walks into the next arena. The golem stares at Evangeline for a moment before speaking. "You seem to be the formidable combatant young lady. I hope our battle fairs well."

Evangeline stands in the center of the next room. A smile comes across her face as she sees you enter. "Hopefully it fairs well. Good luck. Are you ready?" She said and acts.

Evangeline pulls her sword off of her back and attacks you. (Drops magic by 5, increases attack to 15)
She then mind slashes you for 10 damage.
If her attack is successful, she will use smash.

((I'm not sure if you get the pet now or at the end of the tournament. Techinically, you would be able to use it till you got the skill tamer, but I'm confused because in Fury's tournament he was allowed to use it in the next round. The call if up to you. I'll PM Fargore and the other higher DMs this question now.))

For your council badge, tell me whether you want to block the special attack or the attack
PostPosted: Sun Jan 27, 2008 9:46 pm

I already asked Fargore about the pet. Fury was only able to use it because they had not determined the rules on pets at that time. As of now, I would have to have 3 points in tamer to use the pet. Oh and the council badge only works on normal attacks.

The golem pulls a stone from his side, revealing a small cavity. Reaching his hand into the cavity he pulls forth from it 4 vials of liquid. Replacing the stone, he puts the vials in his mouth and eats them, glass and all. Suddenly the golem seems to become crystalline as jagged crystals form over his massive body. The golem then steps forward and grabs Evangeline's sword as it comes down on him. Pulling on the sword, he pulls Evangeline closer to him and delivers a massive punch with his other hand. As his punch contacts with her a bright flash erupts from his wrist, blasting her backwards.

Use 4 Defense Potions: +12 Defense
Use 1 Charge on Spirit Bracer (now 9/10): +2 Defense
Special Attack: Evangeline
Council Badge: Evangeline (First Normal Attack)
Special Block (-1ap): Block 14 Special Damage

Hp: 30/30
Ap: 0
Mp: 1

((If your plans would change in response to her attacking twice, please post your updated moves. If not, please post that you aren't changing anything. Sorry for forgetting to mention that she attacks twice.))
PostPosted: Mon Jan 28, 2008 12:55 pm

I already planned for that. I noticed she had fury and I thought it was the most likely case that she would use it. Also, I already have her first attack nullified by my Council Badge, so technically she can only hit me once anyway.

((rolling for the one attack possible...))

15 (Evangeline's attack) -12 (your defense) +9 (roll)=12 damage-8 (your resistance)= 4 damage
15 (smash) -12 (special block) -6(resistance)=0 damage
10 (mind slash) -6 (resistance)=4 damage
Total damage you take this turn= 8 damage
+2 regeneration
=6 damage

Evangeline attacked Norlamin with her full force, and her attack succeeded to a precentage. "So, I see you aren't as weak as some foes I've faced before. Impressive, I may say. I thank you for this challenge, sir." She said with a smirk.

Evangeline- 35/50
Norlamin- 24/30

Next turn, Evangeline will do the same thing as last turn.
Evangeline pulls her sword off of her back and attacks you twice. (Drops magic by 5, increases attack to 15)
She then mind slashes you for 10 damage.
If her attack is successful, she will use smash.
PostPosted: Mon Jan 28, 2008 2:08 pm

After hearing what Evangeline said he cocked his head slightly. "Your other opponents were not as powerful as me?" The golem then knocks her sword away from him again as he delivers another massive punch with his other hand.

Regeneration at the beginning of the round: +2 hp
Use 1 Charge on Spirit Bracer (now 8/10): +2 Defense
Special Attack: Evangeline
Council Badge: Evangeline (First Normal Attack)
Special Block (-1ap): Block 16 Special Damage

Hp: 27/30 I think... 7 total damage last round after defenses brought me to 23. Then I regenerated 2 last round bringing me to 25, and then I regenerated 2 more at the beginning of this round bringing me to 27.

((Perrian did use all of your special block, he just factored it in before your special resistances took affect. Usually resistances are factored in last in the equation. For example in the case of the action Retaliation resistances factor in second. However, as one of rule gurus, I'm not entirely sure in this case. You can ask Fargore if you like. I will be bringing it up with him anyways since I want to know as well.))
