Tolosia smiled and waved good-bye to her older sister Tshia as she got out of the car. Then, with a glittery backpack slung across her shoulder and a notebook in hand, she marched towards Bramalea high with purpose in her footsteps. It was her first day of tenth grade, and this was definitely going to be a magical school year!
"I hope it'll be magical..." she whispered. "It better be!" But she thought to herself reluctantly, Who am I kidding?! Every year in Bramalea is the same bo-ring schoolyear! The same boring life, the same boring people, the same boring summer break with nothing to do but read...ugh... If only something exciting could happen! Tolosia truly did wish for some adventure in her life. Her life was way too boring. Just the same things happening everyday... just rearranged.

At her locker, she glanced across the hall at some of the seniors. There was a girl with a geeky outfit, and tousled, blonde hair in a half up-do
She had a girlish red ribbon in her hair, and her lustrous eyes caught Tolosia's attention. Hm... could she be the one with adventure? I wonder if she's new here... Tolosia thought with a grin. Maybe she used to live in some sort of wondrous place! Tolosia hurriedly shut her locker, and with a pencil tucked into her notebook, she scurried over to the girl.
"HI!"
"Ah!" Rae was taken aback, and was a bit frightened. She hoped no one heard her reciting a childish poem... Her eyes blazed a bit, the green color flaring and glittering. She was a bit shaky.
"Oh, sorry...didn't mean to scare ya!" Tolosia said with a bubbly giggle. "Are ya new here?"
"Um...yeah..." Rae answered, eyes still flaring.
Tolosia stared for a moment, thinking, Her eyes... there's something...magical about them. Wow. She suddenly realized she was holding her breath, and coughed. Tolosia giggled nervously and said, "Sorry 'bout that! Um... well, you're a senior? How old are you?"
"Uh..I am 16.," the nerd girl shyly answered, then collected her wits and decided to at least attempt to be friendly. "My name is Rachel Weston, but call me Rae."
Tolosia grinned and said, "Hi! I'm Tolosia!" Her eyes glanced at the book Rae was reading. "Uh... you're reading that? Isn't that book a bit ...depressing?" Tolosia had attempted to read it during the summer...but couldn't get past chapter 2. It was way too sad...but she had to admit it was exciting.
"Depressing? Well.. I guess it can be at times. It's good though. I like practically any book!"
"Oh...well, good for you! Well, I hope to see you around! I am in tenth grade, so we're not gonna see eachother much." Tolosia turned away from Rae without another word. She ran back to her own locker, and leaned against it, jotting down notes in her notebook. She dated the entry, and then put in information:
Rachel "Rae" Weston: new girl at Bramalea . Nerdy girl with fair skin and green eyes. Supernatural sparkle and shine in eyes. Strange reaction to my voice. Shy. Hypothesis: Rachel probably moved here from somewhere magical. Somewhere different and maybe had magical adventures. Note to self: investigate her past.
Tolosia smiled as she closed her notebook. She was definitely on to something cool.

She rolled her eyes and walks past him back to her locker. She sighed and slid her board into the locker and closed it. She noticed she was in the senior lockers and grumbled about being so weird. " at least dad didnt make me dress...like them " She said softly as she re applied the black eyeliner. Her green eyes glinted as she smirked at herself. " another new year, more to tell my friends " She said pulling out her cell. She still had a bit before AP Biology. As she finally hung up with Tacie she had to redo her mascara from crying. " dammit..."

"Look whatever the problem is Akira, you can tell me man...You don't have to hide anything from me, no matter how embarassing it is. I won't laugh at you.", Eiji said as he pulled the bleeding Akira along, Eiji's head turning to the side slightly to give Akira a short smile before resuming to look ahead the hallways. "Ok here we are...go inside and have yourself checked by the nurse right away before you become late for class..."
[[sorry i've been in writer's block for days]] "Eiji, I can't tell you what I want to. I would bring shame and humility not only to myself but many other people as well. I could never tell you. Not yet at least." Akira said, looking at the floor as he walked into the nurse's office.

Cyrielle looked over her shoulder as he said this. "As a matter of fact, I am." She said teasingly. Cy grabbed the last book she needed for her first periods, then closed her locker door.

Nova sprinted across the practically empty courtyard, her messenger bag backpack bouncing against her hip. Rushing up the steps, she shoved the door open without breaking stride. She knew exactly where she had to go, having memorized her schedule already. Turning a corner, her locker came into view and she skidded to a halt. Rushing through the combination she used every year, she opened it and threw in the books she didn't need before taking off again. Her homeroom was on the other side of the school. She made it just in time, however, the bell ringing as she dashed into the classroom. Without even looking at the people now staring at her, she took her seat and immediately pulled out a book.

The bell for homeroom soon rang, and Rae hurriedly grabbed all her neccessary books from her locker, and piled them into her slender arms, tucking her novel on top of the stack. She then ran to homeroom clumsily, but shockingly, she did not trip or stumble. Rae slid into a seat with a little sigh and a flutter of her eyelids nonchalantly.
Tolosia cast a skeptical glance in Rachel's direction, and muttered, "She looks normal now... ugh... I didn't know I would be so upset with 'normal.' But, I need special! Excitement...adventure!" Tolosia then realized she was talking to herself, and clamped her mouth shut, snatching her schoolbooks and sprinting to homeroom. She had gotten into a habit of talking to herself lately. Her craving for adventure and excitement was too big to contain in her mind. She had to talk about it, even if only to herself.

Sara went into her homeroom almost late and instantly felt bad because she seemed the youngest of all. She handed her transfer papers to the teacher and sat in an open seat. She pulled out a sketchbook and began to already do sketches of everyone she saw. She made a cute and chibified one of the only girl she'd seen and not almost ran into.

Tolosia ran into her classroom, and took a seat. Her long, raven-black hair was fluttering loosely around her - just the way she liked it. Tolosia would have hated to cut her hair short like her sister wanted her too. Tolosia shuddered at the thought. Her sister's hairstyle was short, and 'trendy' as she said... but Tolosia like her 'out of style' hair style. She simply couldn't stand short hair!

Cody turned around and gave an icy glare to whoever it was that just ran into his side. It often scared the younger students out of their wits. It was just some sophomore on his skateboard, what was his name. Right, Matthew something or other. "Watch it," the blond said in his usual stoic tone as he picked up the ticket he had just received. Kids, were so troublesome. And yes, sophomores are still kids. They still have no idea what the heck they're doing. At least from Cody's point of view.
"Kya! I'll be late!" Melodie squealed as she rushed to her locker. S As she grabbed hold of the lock she stopped cold. 'What's my combo?' the brunette stood their with a blank expression, opening her locker was just habit. You just spin the dial around a few times and it just seemed to open, it never occurred to her that she had to memorize the combination! Fumbling with the lock in panic the bell rang, and it wasn't the warning bell either. "I'm late!" and with that Melodie rushed down the hall to her homeroom. Thank goodness her locker was near her homeroom! As Melodie silently crept up to the door and pushed on it lightly with the intention of sneaking into her seat without Mr. Johnston even realizing she was late, the door gave a tremendous creak.
"Ah, Miss May. Decided to join us at last?" the History teacher asked turning away from the attendance list in front of him. Letting out a sheepish laugh Melodie walked sideways to her desk right in the middle of the classroom. "It would seem you brought your whole room with you," the teacher said as he eyes the large knapsack slung over her back. This was going to be a long day...
