He's a boy because he's in love with a girl named Satsuki. If you buy the character profiles, it still doesn't say gender, but it says "those held dear: Satsuki". Also after Shippo is introduced and the thunder brothers come and Kagome is kidnapped he says Kagome's a very beautiful person, of course Inuyasha opposes which I don't get because if he insults Kagome's looks he also insults Kikyo's looks but oh well, Inuyasha is a lovable pup.

he so obvoiusly a boy because when he sees a young girl that looks like about his age he turns red but like all kids he gets inbarrassed by sango and moroku flirting or inuyasha and kagome wen in through the looking glass he saw them kiss and turned almost completly red it was soooo cute but yeah lol like i said totally a boy.

Well from what i've seen shippo is a boy, because if you think logicly, inuyasha would be more then just an a**, but like a jack a** if he treated a girl like that (yes he treats girls badly, but you don't see him hitting girls) BUT since shippo is a demon, and the character profile doesnt state a gender shippo being a demon could be neither boy or girl
