We played mission impossible last year, that was kinda fun, but annoying because we had to play so many high notes in the clarinet section which had the main melody, but we didn't do it for competition because it was so recognizeable and they would've deducted points because everybody knew the song which made it easier to learn and play because you almost didnt even have to count, you just knew when to play.

Last year our field show was Henry V and we did a Star Wars medley for concert band (THEY CUT PART OF THE IMPERIAL MARCH FOR A LONGER OBOE SOLO IN PRINCESS LEAH'S THEME! GAH! scream )
...this year we were supposed to be doing PotC 2 music for our fieldshow, but we didn't get the rights for it >.<...my director was ticked off, but he pulled a bunch of old music out and got an arrangement together for Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, so it wasn't all bad...we do some random movie stuff for stands music, but not a lot...

pirates of the caribbean, lord of the rings... we had a marching show of west side story, blaugh that's all i can remember now. too exhausted to think crying xp

A couple years ago we played music from the Incredibles, Batman, and Spiderman. It was the best year ever, and the music was so fun!

We played music from Cars once. And, being an alto saxophone, I had the melody throughout most of the piece. biggrin
I want to play Pirates of the Caribbean music; that is the best movie ever. No luck yet, though..

last year: "Polar Express"(best winter concert) and spring concert "Narnia"
this year: spring concert "Phantom of the Opera" so happy
lots of pep band music: ymca,pirates of the caribbean,star wars,rocky
spring musical: Rodger and Hammersteins "Cinderella" damn I first clarinet
