Luka entry - Round 2:
Chrystali: Music is one of the defining qualities of people, in some form or another. Being that of a Satyr - mostly known as flute-playing fables - do you like music? If so, what do you like to listen to? Any particular reason?
Luka blinked at Chrys, frowning as if this first query confused him in some way. His wings flicked in annoyance as he glared at his interrogators. What was the point? This interview was stupid, and he'd much rather go home and sleep off his hangover, thanks. It'd been a long night last night, after all - as Tyler had gone haring off after some critter or other. So Luka had taken advantage of the situation to ...have some fun. He was already here, however, so he'd better get with the program before somebody got mad at him. Now... did he like music? What kind of a question was this? Of course he liked music. Didn't everyone? The type of music he liked... heh. Now that might be a bit of an eye-opener. Maybe he could amuse himself with this thing after all. Being able to annoy other people was always good.
Smirking just faintly, the Raeven leaned folded arms against the table and nodded once, his long bangs pooling on the dark wood in front of him. "Duh. Yea, I like music, who doesn't? That flute-playin' thing, though? That's crap. Flutes and all that s**t is for boooring old people," he replied, emphasizing 'boring' by rolling his eyes rather dramatically and lifting slim shoulders in a shrug. "Y'wanna know what kind of music I like? Metal. Death Metal, actually." Then remembered that there had been a second part to the question. Leaning back again, he thought about it for just a moment, then went on. "Cause see, Metal has it's own soul y'know? And it can take you places. Seriously, have y'ever heard anything by Children of Bodom? They've got some awesome guitar-work and drummin' going on in just about every song. It's like... goin' to another world or somethin'." Good enough? He hoped. Oooh, but he should add in some kind of jab at the end. Definitely. "How 'bout you?" he asked, pinning his gaze on Chrys, eyes narrowing a bit. "D'you like flutes...? Or somethin' a bit more interesting?"
Ravina Loki: Fears! Oh god; spiders, heights, water and even seemingly outlandish things like colors, Jell-o and long words - most everyone's got a fear of something or other. Some are explained and have good reasons for their fright, but others aren't. Either way, people get scared. So tell us; what're you afraid of? What in the world makes you quake with fear at the very idea of it, and why?
Luka stared at Ravina for a moment. Damn... had they already noticed him shooting sideways glances at the trash can? He had to learn to be more circumspect about that! But at least it gave him the chance to do what he'd been wanting to do for the past ten minutes or so. Floating away from the table, the Raeven drifted over toward the small trash can in the room, eyeing it sideways. He was tensed up now, shoulders hunched and fingers flexing in and out. Finally reaching the object of his scrutiny, he leaned over and glanced inside quickly. Gaaah, there was some paper in the bottom of there! But not too much... maybe it would be okay. Or maybe not. Picking the thing up quickly, he floated to the door and shoved the trash can outside, then firmly shut the door again. Threat neutralized.
"Y'wanna know what I'm afraid of?" he asked then, spinning around to face Ravina again. "That. Trash. For good reason! It's ********' everywhere and I swear there's crap livin' in it that comes out at night and eats people's brains. That's why a lotta people in the world are so stupid." He grinned quickly, relaxed again, and floated back to the table. "But hey, now we're safe." Maybe this interview wouldn't be all bad, hey? He'd gotten to warn them about the trash, after all! He should get some kinda reward for that.
Kyoupiruchi: Suddenly one day, you found out that you are having feelings for a guy, how would you react? Do you freak out? Stay calm? And how would you approach said guy, if you plan to tell him your feelings at all.
... s**t, here was the weird-a** question at the end. He should've known something like this was coming, really. He was pretty damn sure this wasn't in your typical list of questions for an interview, but he didn't know what might happen if he refused to answer. ... ******** it, he didn't really care. Finally, he gave Kyou a rather flat look, lips thinning into a little line for a moment. "I dunno how the hell that's any of your business," he pointed out, almost growling the words, teeth clenched, "So I'm not gonna answer that." The Raeven was getting rather pissed by this point, floating up toward the ceiling so he was towering over the three of them. "What I do in the bedroom with ... whoever ain't any of your concern and I think you're all pervs for wantin' ta know. Or you're just askin' cause you can't get any yourselves, so you gotta get off on other people's sex-lives."
Floating back away from the table, the Raven huffed. "I'm leavin' now. This joke of an interview is so over." Veering toward the door, he flung it open and then swung wide around the trash can on the way out - careful not to let any of his trailing bits even brush the rim of it. Time to get outta this crazy place and back to his bed.

Username: Manda Scent: Serpent's Kiss Guardian Name: Doctor Tyler Grante Guardian Personality: For the most part, Tyler tends to be a rather quiet and serious individual. In several ways, he's a bit of a workaholic. His research is everything to him - though he does have a few friends that can pull him out of his Lab from time to time. In his work, he is efficient and dedicated, for the most part. There are times, however, when something will catch his eye and he'll leave whatever project he's currently working on to chase a lead he knows is probably a dead end - simply because it's interesting. Whenever he's not working, his favorite thing to do is sit down in the old armchair in his living room and read. Upon first meeting others, he can often seem a bit blunt and cool - especially if you're interrupting his work in some way - but he thaws out pretty quickly. Hidden beneath his serious mien there is a sharp wit and sense of humor, though it's rarely shown to those outside his small circle of friends. Guardian Bio: Tyler was born in the suburbs of Cyrus City, into a rather typical middle-class family. He has two sisters, both older than him, and his parents still live in the house he grew up in. Throughout his young life, Tyler was always something of a 'geek'. He was wearing glasses before he started school, and was always encouraged to pursue whatever course he wanted in life, no matter what anyone said about him. Unlike a lot of youngest children, Tyler was never spoiled by his parents, but they did try to give all of their children whatever they wanted within reason. By third grade, Tyler knew that he loved science, and especially biology. He didn't know exactly what he might do with this love until much later - though stories of strange and supposedly extinct creatures appearing in the wilds always fascinated him. For a long while, Tyler simply stayed in school, going through high school and college, and then moving on to get his Masters and Doctorate in Biology. After that, he worked various odd jobs around the city until he had built up enough money to start a Lab of his own. At first, he was alone there, until other Crytozoologist lovers heard that there was a Lab dedicated to the study of these animals. Now, he has a small staff of senior Researchers working for him, as well as several assistants and other personnel. Prompt Number: 2 Prompt Response: Nagendra leaned back against his pile of ratty understuffed pillows and eyed the two young girls in front of him who'd just come back from their rounds. A few other kids lounged about the room, or slept on thin blankets and the like against the walls. "So?" the dragonlike child half-drawled, tail wriggling just a bit in lazy anticipation as his tongue flicked out and then in again. "What've you got for me t'day?" The first girl blinked at him with wide eyes and shifted a bag on her shoulder, then dumped the contents out onto the floor. Shifting a bit, Nagendra examined the loot with a tiny frown. Half a loaf of (probably) stale bread, three or four Pieces, some jewelry he was pretty sure was cheap and fake... and that was it. "Tch," he scoffed, sweeping most of the pile aside with an annoyed little flick of that tail. The only thing of any real worth was the food, and if he wanted the girl to be able to go out again later he'd better let her eat it. He kept the Pieces though. If anyone else brought money today... it might just add up. Looking up then, he met the girl's pale green eyes and offered her a little smile that was almost a smirk. "Not bad, Nadine, but ya gotta do better or you'll be outta here. You know that." Had to keep 'em on their toes, after all. The girl's eyes widened and she bobbed her head quickly, then backed up a few paces before turning and running off to her corner. Not that he was likely to actually kick her out.
Hmn... maybe he shouldn't be so damn nice. Nadine never had anything good, really. She wasn't a good thief, and she wasn't pretty or ugly enough to beg, not to mention she couldn't act to save her life. You had to have one of those things if you wanted to make a living begging, he'd learned ... otherwise, you were just too 'ordinary' and got overlooked.
Of course, he was fully pretty enough, and a good actor, but he'd found a better way to get what he needed out here. Doing the begging and stealing yourself was always dangerous 'cause it could very well make you a target. But if you could get someone else to do it for you... now that was the ticket. The young Scent had found this abandoned building a couple weeks ago, occupied mostly by teens who were usually drugged out of their minds and one older man that was slightly more sober who 'guarded' the place. All the walls had been knocked out inside, and the building itself probably shouldn't even still be standing. But no one had actually knocked it down or anything yet - so it was free for the taking.
It hadn't been too difficult to get rid of the previous squatters either. Nagendra had simply hung around the area long enough to figure out where most of them got their drugs ... then he'd left a nice little anonymous tip for the police. Mostly it told about the dealers, but he also mentioned the building where the druggies themselves hung out. As predicted, the various authorities took care of his problem for him. Within two days, the building was empty and the entire area was a bit safer - since most of the dealers had been picked up too. All that was left was to clean the place up a bit, scrounge together the money to buy a padlock, a good one, and put it on the door. And then he started building his little empire.
It had started with Nadine, and then she'd told a couple of her friends, then two more girls had shown up... until he had amassed a tiny little workforce of kids that were allowed to stay in 'his' building in exchange for payment. Which usually meant part of whatever they managed to beg or steal out on the streets. He only had a couple of boys so far - but that was okay, the girls did well enough. Already, his little 'nest' in the corner was looking quite a lot better than it had at first. Aside from the pile of pillows, he also had a nice blanket without any holes, and some trinkets he'd taken from hauls just because they were pretty. The only annoying thing was that some of the youngest kids always wanted to touch and play with those. He wouldn't let them, because those things were his, and it rather pissed him off when other people touched his stuff. It'd only taken a night or two of being kicked out onto the street to convince the kids that crying and whining at him wouldn't change his mind about the no-touching thing. Heh. Little idiots. They'd learned by now not to come into his space unless invited.
Glancing up, Nagendra was pulled out of his thoughts when the other girl stepped forward. This one was a little older, and more audacious. There were days she brought in crap like Nadine had had, but other other days, she did really well. Seemed like today was one of those, since she had a huge grin on her face as she emptied her bag at his feet. The Scent's eyes widened when he saw what she had in there, and he leaned forward eagerly. A whole wallet made of leather, plus some fruit, more jewelry (of a slightly better quality than Nadine's take), and a few other things. The wallet and the fruit were the best, since they didn't get fruit very much. He quickly snatched the wallet and went through it, coming up with upwards of twenty Pieces. "Christa ... I think I love you right now," he muttered, splitting the amount quickly in two and sliding half of it back to her.
Then he snatched up a peach and bit into it, eyes lidding as the juice ran down his chin. He allowed it to get almost all the way to his shirt before he flicked a finger up the length of his throat - catching the liquid and then sucking it off his finger with a low noise. "Mmmng... so good," he practically purred, eyes flicking up to see all of them watching him now. Though the thing was utterly sticky and having the juice all over him was kind of gross, there was another purpose to this. He knew exactly what sort of effect things like this had on most girls, and sometimes boys too. And he did it on purpose, a bit of amusement in this bleak sort of life. "D'you want a reward for all this, Christa...?" he asked then, tongue flicking at his lips a bit - some of the juice from the peach still lingering there.
She swallowed and nodded, not even able to speak as she stared at him. Getting up from those pillows, Nagendra's movements were fluid, an almost malevolent sexuality there - even though he was just a child and wouldn't know the words to describe it for a while yet. Standing, he was just a bit taller than his prey, and stepped toward her, bending his head down a little. Then he pressed his lips to hers in a kiss that was decidedly not childish. Even if she was inexperienced, it was clear that he wasn't. Nagendra shivered as Christa made a little noise against his mouth, leaning into him and clutching at his clothes. Across the room, he could practically feel Nadine blushing and staring. There were other stares from others as well - some envious, a few of the younger kids making fake gagging noises. Nagendra ignored the gagging sounds and focused on the envy. He loved that almost as much as the kissing itself, the waves of jealousy, the way that so many wished he was kissing them right now.
He had kissed a lot of girls recently, and he was always fascinated by the way it felt, so nice and warm and tingly. He'd been wondering lately if it would feel the same with boys... but hadn't yet had a chance to test it. Maybe if one of the new ones brought him something really nice, or did really badly, he'd offer a kiss as reward or punishment and see what happened. Yes... that was a good plan. They should be back in a few hours, and he could try it then. Meanwhile, now he had enough Pieces to go and get something to eat!
