"Don't let Xandus get you, then." He continued to look around the basket through the junk and then looked out of the cave to see that it was getting darker. "I don't know how long the machine will take me. With help in gathering materials, maybe not long. I'll get you out of here, though."

he looked at his materials and thought for a bit. "i imagine xandus has what you need. once i kill him and all his monsters, you can just take it."

"The funny thing is that he tells the people who come here on intellect basis that we have anything and everything we would need to get out of here alive if we're intelligent enough to apply it. You may call me crazy for believing him, but I do on the sheer fact that he wants those that he hunts to be... Well. He wants them to be as challenging as possible." He pushed the basket away and rubbed the back of his neck. "I just gather anything and everything I find. He litters mechanical things all through the jungle and even tools. Then there's stuff that those before me made that I pick up from their dead bodies or skeletons and bring them back. That net was one of them. It had some bugs, but I worked them out and added some features."

he thought back to what he said. he never really said anything like that. "i see. he didn't really tell me anything other than that he's gonna keep coming after me until he evenutally kills me."

"Well, he probably thought that you would train or something. Usually the ones brought in for brawn don't have the mental skills to create things. Maybe weapons, but that's usually it. Not trying to insult you." He got up and took out some blankets and layed them out near the cave entrance. He liked to get the sea air at night when he slept. "Either way, you're a young kid with a life ahead of you and you should get out of here and enjoy it. Can't say the same for me. My wife died about three years ago. I just don't want to stay here. I'd like to retire somewhere, you know."

"That's the spirit." He sat down on the blanket he sat out and stretched. "Look, I'm not gonna tell you when to go to bed. You just grab yourself a blanket and lay down whenever, but I'm heading to bed." He then laid down and let out a yawn before falling asleep.

he was feeling tired so he got up and grabbed a blanket. he layed down on the ground and sighed as he soon fell asleep.
it has been eight months now since he's been in this demision. he found time to train himself and found himself able to kill most monsters easily. it was still hard when they all attacked at once. he still couldn't beat xandus although he was able to hurt him now. he was sleeping in ben's cave as he woke up that morning.

Ben was already awake and getting ready to go out and see if he could find anything this day. He had the net in his bag and even a weapon that he made attached to his side. The machine in the back of the cave looked like it was actually going to be something instead of a pile of junk. He glanced over and seen that Smash was waking up. "Good. You're awake. I'm heading out to look for supplies. If you can, go hunting for food and gather some fresh water. It would be a help. And for gods sake, no monsters this time. The meat from those things taste rotten even after cooking."

"Good. I'll be back before sundown." He then exited the cave and scaled the cliff, soon to reach the top and wander the forest looking for things.

he left the cave and went to the cave to his training spot. that day he also fought with a few monsters and killed them. he ended the day by searching for food and managed to find boars. he then picked up some water and brought it back to the cave.

The sun was setting and sure enough, Ben had entered the cave and had some supplies in his bag. "Today was a good day, but some monsters started to attack before I could gather everything that I wanted to. I think you're coming with me tomorrow. I remember how to get there." He started taking the things out and seperating the junk into different piles. Smash didn't even know his organization process, but something set one piece of junk from another in Ben's mind.

He let out a relieved sigh. "Good job. I was tired of ******** squirrels and raccoons." He finished unloading everything and started digging through the junk piles. "You mind cooking tonight? I'm gonna work on the machine a bit." He grabbed some tools and went over, starting to work and run wires.
