i'm sure he only needs naps because he runs on adrenaline from escaping all these threats that happen to turn up wherever he goes. lol! XD

oh yes! i just remembered, he goes to that party and gets 'drunk' in Girl in the Fireplace. i think he would have probably eaten something though we never see him doing it. he invented the banana split then biggrin

edit: i just realised that 'runs' was a pun...>.< he RUNS when he's on adrenaline and he runs ON adrenaline. that was such a bad pun...

He once had a nightmare in the mind of evil. Was it the mind of evil? I think so

Yeah, the one with the monster that gave people nightmares so horrific they were scared to death.

in the Resurection Casket, he says he doent sleep much, so nightmares dont bug him much. and in one book Rose says she's never really seen the Doctor do more than catnap

Nurse Muffin
I'd say he eats quite a bit really... but then he also spends alot of his time running, so i suppose he has to get some of his energy from somewhere.
he looks so cute while he's eating though xd

I don't mean to be...um....slutty, but he looks cute anywhere to be honest.

You're fine. Most of us think he looks cute anywhere, and the ones who don't are probably either guys, or John Simm fangirls. rofl

The doctor is married to his tea, I'm sure.

As for him being cute anywhere...I think he's cute with the Master...or Jack...or...*giggles sheepishly*

Two scenes that haven't been mentioned yet - the Fourth Doctor has breakfast with Tremas and Nyssa in The Keeper of Traken, and the Fifth Doctor has dinner with the Eternals in Enlightenment, though I don't remember if you actually see him eat anything or not - the meal is definitely cute short, though.
Oh, and in Kinda the Doctor and Adric are given some kind of food - it looks like porridge or something - but he doesn't finish his, so Adric eats the rest. Then I think he drinks in Black Orchid, and they're all served a meal in Four to Doomsday, though again, I don't remember if he eats anything or not.

...No, I didn't just list every episode I could think of in which he eats. xD

i think it's in either "An UnearthLy ChiLd" or "The DaLeks" That the Doctor asks Barbara and Ian if they are hungry...He has a machine that recreates different kinds of food....

Being on different pLanets wouLd be understandbLe to try different foods as weLL...

I think it's kind of like how in Harry Potter we only see Harry bathe once in 7 years. It's boring. Who would want to sit and watch the Doctor eat dinner when he could be saving the universe, running from some alien monster, or being ridiculous? They have to keep us (the audience) entertained.

Though I do agree that the Doctor probably eats like an Italian teenagers, all the time and in massive amounts.

Though I don't think we ever see him eating a banana, he does state his love for them a few time, implying that he at least knows what they taste like.

Watercrystal
I don't know if this has been mentioned, but he ate an Buffalo wing in Voyage of the Damned. Not much, but then he was inturrupted as usual.

Oh yeah Ten's the glutton of the lot. He eats a lot, I know he ate in the Christmas show, and in one of the books "Feast of the Drowned," he got Mickey to get him chips. So yeah the Doctor DOES eat 3nodding

There's a 3rd Doctor scene in his UNIT lab (can't recall which story) where he has to make something to save the day & everybody's in there watching & feeling useless. The Brigadier says, is there anything I can do, Doctor?" and the Doctor tells him to get him (I think) a glass rod. Down at the other end of the table someone picks one up, and it is passed hand to hand down to the Brigadier, who hands it to the Doctor....
...who promptly sticks it in a mug of tea and stirs with it.
The Brig is not amused.
lol

lol! (by the way,m hey guys its me , lemurS366, my account got hacked, so ya, *waves*) but thats not he point, the point is, that i think thats really fuinny. I also have another point:
As Jackie once asks, other than hearts, "what else has he got two of?" This, I feel, is a valid question for our topic, because 2 hearts would metabolize faster, even if his heartrate were slow. normal. Iff he as, like, two livers as well, he'd need more food. --WOW hold on! WHAT IF THE DOCTOR HAS TWO STOMACHS AS WELL?!?! Would that allow him to store more food, thus allowing him to eat less, or would he require more?? *sighs* There's just SO much we odnt know about timelord biology! (I mean, its not like we can dissect a dead one...they dont really die!) But yeah.
Also, We have to remember to take into account the fact that the show IS being made my the BBC, so, like, they probably don't want to have to spend too much (or any) money on food... lolz xd
