Claud ran over to join Stripes, waiting for Pond's answer. He was determined to pluck as many of his subjects from the ants' line while he was waiting.
Pond pondered the question for a few moments, giving himself time to swallow the berry. "Maybe," he replied, "What you offer Pond and subjects?"

Stripes thought about it for a moment. "Some candy canes?" It was the only thing he could think of that his kingdom might have. Sure it wasn't much, but he did know where candy canes really were. At his "castle".

Nodding in agreement with Stripe's offer, Pond turned to Claud, "What about you?"
Claud looked up from his subject saving/plucking and stuttered out an offer. "Ummm, how about, ummm, some gumdrops?" he said, although he didn;t really have any, he was sure he could get some from Neko later.
Pond nodded again, picking up one of his 'Lollipop' subjects and setting it down on top of an ant that had been carrying a berry. After, of course, removing the berry, unfortunately for Claud, to his mouth.

Striped smiled. "Okay, once we are done I can get you your candycanes." This would be easy, only if Pond and Claud would go to his home though. That's where his stash was.

Pond continued to remove the gumdrop subjects away from the hungry ants, placing them safely in his mouth for taste-testing.
Claud clapped and plucked what little of his gumdrops remained from the ground and, unable to resist after watching Pond scarf them down, popped a few into his own mouth. Grinning with berry juice running down his chin, he offered a few berries to Stripes.

Stripes took the gumdrops and ate them. "Hey, those are good." He knew they would be. Sugar was his most favorite food.

His ears perking up as he heard something coming through the brush, Pond darted over to where the noise was coming from, tackle-squeaking the being that was coming from a bush.
"Ack! Do you have to do that?" Chaos asked, looking around from her spot of emergence and spotting Claud and Stripes, "Hey, there you are! I thought Treasure would be at the pond, but she wasn't, so I started coming back... It's getting late, do you guys want dinner or have you eaten already?"
Claud pondered for a moment; he knew the berries were yummy, but they weren't very filling. He turned to Stripes, "Would you like to join us for dinner?"

"Oh, ah sure. That sounds nice." Stripes didn't normally eat anything but sugar, but he knew that he needed to try new things. He nodded and was ready to head out, wherever it was he needed to head out to.
