Zoisite watch as his Master fell to the ground. He heard the commands that escaped from Beryl's lips. He was pleased that Jadeite for once was disobeying Beryl's command as same for Nephrite, but he knew the consequences for disobeying her. He care less about Kunzite anyways, his heart was beyond salvation, and the taint from the poison only made it worse. He the man he once knew had turned into an animal that is hunger for bloodshed. Beryl killing him was doing him a favor by breaking the grasp of the poison that tainted them all.

As Mamoru's eyes slowly opened, it was Usagi's face that appeared rather than Sailor Moon's. Her own bout of unconsciousness had weakened her to the point where she could not even hold onto her henshin. But she did not care, nor did she notice as the guise of Sailor Moon faded from her. He needed her not as Sailor Moon, not as Serenity, but as Usagi, the girl who loved him the most.
"Mamoru," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.She prayed her gentle summons would release him from whatever Hell held onto his mind. "Mamoru, I love you. Stay with me."

Beryl was quickly losing control of the situation. Endymion had passed out, the Princess was holding him, Jadeite and Nephrite were ignoring her commands. She needed to re-group and come up with something else.
With a wave of her hands, she and all four of the Shitennou teleported from the scene. She returned directly to her dais, while she dropped all four men off in Zoisite's piano room. She also used her powers to lock the door, keeping all four in the room until she decided what would be done.
As soon as he saw that he had control of his own body once more, Kunzite dropped his arm and sheathed his weapon. He silently looked from one man to the other and then went for the door. He was angry at several things, and not the least of which was being made to look so powerless in front of his enemy.
When the door didn't give, Kunzite pulled harder. When that didn't work he gave it a frustrated kick. That too did nothing. His anger was building.

When Beryl removed herself and Shitennou from the battle field, Venus let her guard drop slightly and turned to face her fellow Senshi, ignoring the Prince and Princess for the moment. "Minna... it seems we have won this battle but the war is far from over. From this point on, we have to be on guard at all times and ready to fight at a moment's notice!" she said, taking a commanding tone with her comrades. "The Princess... and the prince... must be watched at all times."

In a wash of purple light, Jadeite and Nephrite were back in the Dark Kingdom, but only in Zoisite's piano room. This is the first time they disobeyed Beryl's order, especially Jadeite who was the one most loyal to Beryl.
Nephrite was worried about their punishment, but for some reason, he didn't care. He was happy not to fight Ami, or see him doing harm to her friends. Nephrite cringed at Kunzite's anger and looked over at the youngest Tennou who was sitting in a corner with a blank expression on his face.
"What will happen to us? Will be get severely punished for disobeying Beryl? Jadeite whispered.
Jadeite sat there quite, it was unusual for him to disobey Queen Beryl, or not calling her Beryl-sama like he always do, but something changed him when they were on the field. Perhaps pieces of the past life is coming back to him. Endymion, the man Beryl wants and do anything in her power to get her hands on him. Maybe he was jealous because she loved Endymion and not him. Whatever the reason why, Jadeite seemed content that he rebelled against her for once. Jadeite look towards the piano where he saw Zoisite sitting in front of the piano in a dazed, like he was lost in his own thoughts.

Zoisite slumped over his piano. He was happy to be alive and also relieved that Beryl gave up for now, but this is just the beginning. He need to figure a way to escape this, a way to warn master about Beryl's plans. Zoisite sat up and glanced at the two other Shitennou's and slightly smiled. Zoisite never smiled, only smirked, but he was smiling at the fact that Jadeite disobeyed Beryl to protect their master. He was hoping that he remember that he once served a man named Endymion, their master. Zoisite's thoughts where shattered by Kunzite's outrage. "Kunzite, save your energy. This is only the beginning of what is truly going to happen. We must protect master from Beryl, even if we suffer the consequences. If anything happens to master, then the princess might awaken. As long the princess is dormant in Sailor Moon, then we don't have to worry much. I am afraid of the worse that might happen. No matter what, we must protect the master and prevent the awakening of the princess."

Beryl's first instinct was to summon Jadeite first, as he was most loyal to her. Or at least, he was supposed to be. He had disobeyed her orders on the field, and so she was uncertain of where to proceed with him. Nephrite as well had been loyal, only completely useless at completing his missions. Zoisite was Zoisite, and he was obviously loyal to Endymion, which at this point suited Beryl just fine. No, the one she should summon first is the one she needs to make an example of.
'Kunzite, you are permitted in my presence. Come here at once.'
Kunzite spun and glared at the white-haired man. "Protect him? Do you forget what happened? That man betrayed us, betrayed everyone, and he will pay for what he did!"
It was then that the Queen's summon's reached his ears. "Like hell," he muttered to himself, ignoring the orders.

"Usagi?" Mamoru whispered weakly. Her gentle voice was drawing him back from the edge of the nightmarish images. Those brief yet horrible moments seemed to have passed. At least for now. Looking into the face of the one he loved, he was starting to regain his focus. But the last few moments were still a blur to him. "What happened?"

With a smile, she leaned closer to her beloved. "Beryl is gone and so are the Shitennou," she told him in a whisper, her relief that he was well overwhelming her. She blinked away the tears that were threatening to spill and laid her forehead against his. "For now, we can be together without worrying about her."

Zoisite rushed over Kunzite and roughly shoved him against the wall. "I'm sick of tired hearing your obsession of getting your revenge. I'm sick and tired of you bringing back of things that happened in the past life. Yes! I know what happened, but we learn and we prevent things like that from happening. Killing Master won't solve anything, or patch things that happened in the past. You only will bring misery and guilt upon yourself and others. I forgive Master for his action. I too..." Zoisite paused. "I'm just as equally as upset for what Master did, but you don't see me craving to spill his blood on the floor. No! I find other means of preventing things. It is the princess that we should be worried about, not Usagi or Sailor Moon. Kill the Master and kiss your life and this planet goodbye."
Zoisite released Kunzite and walked back to his piano and started to play Raindrops Prelude.

Beryl waited, but quite impatiently for Kunzite to reply to her summons. When he did not, she forced him to teleport to the room instead.
Kunzite remained where he had been shoved, mostly out of shock of Zoisite's sudden actions. Slowly, his surprise turned back into anger and he pushed himself off the wall and stalked slowly towards the pianist. "Don't. You. Ever. Challenge. Me. Like. That. Again." he said, his voice a low growl. "If you do..." Kunzite pulled out his sword again, but was unable to get to Zoisite to make his threat before Beryl pulled him to the throne room.
It took him a moment to realize what happened. Turning, his eyes narrowed on Beryl. He had no fear of her, and most certainly was not going to show her any form of subservience now. "What?" he said, spitting the word out in anger.

Venus turned away from Usagi and Mamoru to give them some privacy. She would deal with that situation after. For now, her task was to see that Mamoru remained out of Beryl's grasp to her princess sane. Motioning for the other three Senshi to join her, she let her transformation fade away since the threat was currently gone.

Following suit, Ami let the transformation drop and followed Minako. She checked over her shoulder occassionally to make sure Usagi-chan was OK. "So, what do we do now?" she asked, interested in everyone's opinions.

Mamoru smiled and breathed a sigh of relief. He pulled Usagi into his arms and hugged her tightly. "Yes. For now."
But how long would it be before something else would happen? When it did he would have to be ready, because he wouldn't let something like this happen again. He pushed it to the back of his mind, choosing to think about it later. Everything was okay, at least for a brief moment. He would be happy about that.

Usagi was trembling despite herself. She had not liked the images the princess had forced on her. Nor did she like the fact that the princess had so much sway over her. Usagi had almost given in and let the princess come to destroy Beryl, the Shitennou, and possibly their whole planet. 'I won't... she is not needed when Mamoru and I are safely together,' she thought, determined to rely on herself rather than the temptations of the princess.
Pushing all her unwanted thoughts aside, Usagi plastered a brilliant smile upon her face. "I think... you should come over for dinner. Mama's cooking is fantastic!" she gushed, going back to being the bubbly teenager she was supposed to be.
