I'm not sure if what Song says is true, but regardless... the idea alone is repulsive enough to keep anyone away from lotion for ages and ages. Thank G-d I never use the stuff. (And she is not a hippie.)
Does the time of the abortion matter? No matter how far along, it's still it's own creature, not part of the mother's body. And no matter what you say, it's not the woman's choice. Choosing to kill another human is called "premeditated murder." I'm sure you're all farmilliar with the term.

Interesting story, Dave... slightly bizzare. But quite sad.

I tend to hang with bazzare people... Or I used to rather...

And book, The time does matter, because otherwise people will say that everything from condoms to the morning after pill, could count as "premeditated murder". So we have to (unfortunatly) define when it is and isn't ok to kill an unborn child.

That never occured to me... I'll consider that issue.

It doesn't occur to a lot of people, But it's a big argument... That's why a lot of people won't have protected sex...

Personally I think that would be the stupidest thing I have heard today. Condoms can save lives not kill them.

Thank the Lord! I'm glad someone here thinks of abortion the same way I do. Whatever way you put it it will always end up with the fact that it's a different being in a mothers body. Just as he said.

So in theory, If we were to remove the baby from the mothers body, and stuff it in a .... tank or whatever... So it could incubate, would that be ok? I mean I know it won't happen, but Seriously I'm curious.

Yay! heart 4laugh heart All Hail Davis! If that could be a real option for young mothers we would have a safe alternative for abortion, which could then become illegal! blaugh

Well, on one hand I agree that they should be restricted to life-threatening circumstances, but on the other, I think there are many circumstances where abortion really would be the better choice.

I think if the fetus has developed a brain by the time you decide you want to abort it, you shouldn't be allowed to.

I hear abortions are traumatic for some patients, so I would say leave that option for special circumstances.

I also think the mother has the final say, but the father's wishes should be considered as well. It takes two to make one after all.

Oh, and as for Stem Cell reasearch, I think it's a clever way to discover more about where human life comes from, but they should get the stuff from either naturally aborted babies or ones that humans had to abort to save the mother. (Science is important, but like I say, "If you don't defend your morals, you don't have any."

... As opposed to not being born at all because your mother was a knocked up teen who couldn't afford you?

I'm against it 100%. See this is what bothers me about democrats, they say that "everyone" has their own choice, own lifestyle all that jazz. But when it comes to children and holding idiotic irresponsible teens that go around having sex for pleasure responsible for what they did, OH! that child in the girls stomach should die. cause you know even thought it has a heart and in the near future will be just as intelligent as you and I, it can't live.

You go against your own word. If you stick a dot on a sheet of paper *written from a pen or paper* thats when a infants heart starts to beat. That is a living being. Some people care more about their pets getting killed then the death of a child that will be more intelligent then the stupid dog!

And the girl is thinking "This will ruin my life! *sobs* I'm going to have no future!" A child will not destroy your life. If you most give it up for adoption. Don't resort to killing it. There are many other couples that are not able to have children that would accept the child.

I have no sympathy for women who have that happen because they knew, if they had sex, they could get pregnant. Oh, and don't bring me up on this rape junk. When a woman is raped, "normally* her body rejects the sperm. There are, though very very few, cases where the woman gets pregnant. If keeping the child will bring to much pain then give it up for adoption.

But what truly gets be P.Od. Is the fact that the guys that get the girls pregnant, they don't even care! What the heck is that about!?!?! if you go and have sex and get the gosh darn girl pregnant they you better MAKE SURE that that girl is healthy and taken care of and you better watch that child. You are just as responsible as the mom. I wish I could just punch every boy that ever got a girl pregnant.
Totally.

I'm just wondering about how everyone considers the guy's point of view there is be less evidence that it's his. That makes it easier to deny responsiblity also men mature at a slower rate then woman so its possible that he wasn't able to handle it and ran.
I'm not saying it's right but there are some factors to consider.

First off, I'm a guy. Just pointing it out.

Now, in a good, idealistic world, I would be completely against abortion. BUT, I think a LOT of people are forgetting about RAPE VICTIMS. Why should rape victims go through the pain of pregnancy and then have a constant reminder of what happened to them? Even if they put the child for adoption, in their mind they still know it happened.

I do agree that those stupid enough to get pregnant at such a young age deserve to get... "pwned". (Sorry for the chat-speak. I just couldn't think of another word that would serve the same purpose.)

All in all, I don't have a clear standpoint on the whole abortion thing. But I think until it clears up, the option to have an abortion should be available. It's not like it forces everyone to have one. I think leaving that option available possibly does more help than it does harm.

Umm... I don't know about other guys, but I would rather kill myself than get my future partner pregnant without her willing to go through with it. I'm not as inconsiderate as the guys you refer to. Not all guys are the same. -_-
