"Aw.. see yah Emerwyn." she said sympathically and waved.
Turning back to Amaya and Lauren she laughed. "I know.. I know. Toesies.. and your idea about the finger tip and ink sounds pretty nifty. Its just I mean obviously Im SO used to just my hand for drawing that I never would consider having to act as if it were amputated.." she looked at her creepy long fingers for a moment and gave a twisted look.
"Is... is it ironic or what... me turning into a bat and all? Er, at least what we assume.. its gotten a bit unanimous thats what Im changing into, but do you think.. this was purposeful?" she asked then shook her head. "Gah, Im positive no.. I mean several animals are like.. unable to truly use their digits. Anyways.. Ill start practicing with my toes." smiling, she attempted gripping the twing again, but with her feet. The fact they were already double jointed contriubuted to her batty, clingy nails and she picked it up with ease, grinning.
((I seriously have double jointed toes though xD))

Amaya blinked at Lauren, rather surprised. "Yeah, I never thought of that." She looked back over to Hargun watch her grip the twig and laughed. "Jeeze. I've been to scared to really grip anything with my toes." She raised them in the air and put one down at a time down the row then flexed them before putting them back on the ground and lifting herself to a standing position.
"Well, as much as I hate to leave the conversation the temperature is starting to drop and getting my tired." She started to walk off, giving a wave back to Hargun and Thorn. "See ya guys later!"

Lauren wanted to get up and hug Amaya goodbye for some reason but she was too far out of reach and the impulse kind of stunned her. Why would she want to do a silly thing like that.
"It is getting late, and I'm hungry... " She kind of looked towards Hargun secretively. "You wouldn't happen to have tried to eat... bugs now would you?" Thorn then immediatly shuddered at the thought. "Gah, gross I know but they sound so... so...tasty!" She laughed nervously at herself.

Lauren had asked her exactly one of the things she had found herself doing quite often now, and all Hargun could do was nod slowly.
"Uh... yea. And I dont mean just one or two." she bit her lip. "And I often find myself hunting them down in the corner of my room and such." smiling at her now she nodded faast. "Yea.. they are actually good.. and its not like you have to chew through them for a long time.. just popping one in your mouth and swallowing it."
She was bewildered to why she wasnt absolutely gagging her own words.. had it been any day before she changed, she wouldnt be able to handle it.
"If you want to go, I can head out with yah.. Ill probably end up going to my duplex anyways.."

Lauren couldn't help crack up at Hargun's response, "Thought you might! Being a bat and all and yellow mongooses eat bugs all the time too. They eat other stuff as well though." She shrugged, "Don't think I'm ready to go that far quite yet, hated bugs on the streets well except for spiders, I bet I could eat a spider."
Thorn got up, patting the loose dirt and grass of her pants and new tail with her long hands, "Alright, lets get going back. I need MEAT and lots of it." Her appetite hadn't changed but now she craved purely meat and nothing else. Thorn being more filled out and muscular didn't help the need for diet change to keep up with her new self.

"Hmm... havent tried eating spiders yet." she scratched her cheek. Dont mongooses eat snakes? Fuuuun... she thought but didnt feel like asking.. she said she didnt want to go too far in the diet.
"Ive lost a lot of my cravings for just about any other food.. Ill still eat anything though. Just now.. creepy crawlies go on the menu." she satrted to laugh. "I bet I could get money off it.. make people pay me something for me to eat a worm or somefin.. course not sure what good money would do here or if anyone even has any." she said shrugging.
Hargun stood up too. "So cafeteria?" she asked.

Lauren nodded, "Yeah, I don't know maybe the cravings for sandwiches will come back, I love them for some silly reason but now I'm thinking why deal with all the bread and lettuce and junk, just the meat!! Oh and turkey!!" Her tummy emitted a tiny rumble at the thought. "eggs.... I soo want eggs too. I think I could eat a whole chicken! So cafeteria it is." She headed off with Hargun in that direction.
"And yeah, you could probably make money off of eating stuff like that, didn't know bats ate worms though. And who knows what's gonna happen, maybe we will all be stuck here maybe not no use in worrying so much over the future." Lauren had gotten used to the fact that everyone was wanting to leave but damn it why did they have to obsess over it so much?

"Heh, if we're stuck here we outta find ways to fully comfort new arrivals.. I KNOW that its very stressful figuring out the truth, but worse, the staff lying." she kinda flinched. "I dont have like.. a super grudge against the staff now, dont get me wrong. Ah, but wouldnt it be nice if those who are so emotionally ******** up about it to be able to just relax and enjoy it all? Right away at least.. after the first change they seem to all calm down, or at least the ones Ive met."
As they neared the cafeteria, she smiled, and hesitated.
"Well, I walked to the cafeteria with yah, but I do need to head off home. Mybe get to practicing with mah toes.." she said, wiggling them. "I was nice getting to talk to you again. Ill see yah later." she said waving and headed up to her room, being sure to close all the curtains and etc to her typical setting.

Lauren nodded, "I'll ask the doc if he can cool it with the lying, although I can't see how lies hurt people so much, they helped me survive." She shrugged. "But I'll ask for you alright?"
Lauren waved at Hargun with a smile, "See ya, thanks for walking me here!" She casually 'accidently' rubbed against her a little bit to mark her with her new scent. "Oops, sorry." Once Hargun started walking away Thorn yelled, "Good luck with the toe art!!"
This wasn't so hard, she could socialise and it seemed a bit easier somehow.
But now, it was time for food. Lauren headed into the empty cafeteria preparing to gorge herself as usual.

The humid air of the island was starting to take its toll on Jamal now after yet another week was passing by of his time spent on the island. By now he figured it would be growing cooler and closer to the snowy season back in Detriot and he missed it to some extent...it was just too damned hot here.
In hopes of beating the warmth, he had retreated to the lake for a good float. The man couldn't swim properly and so didn't dare pass waist deep water. Instead he was content to kneel on the sandy bottom and let the water lap up to his shoulders as he sat there, eyes narrowed as the sunlight reflected off the water. He was shirtless, which was appropriate for swimming, but he was not wearing swimming trunks. Instead he was wearing track pants with snaps up the sides. Jamal hated shorts unless they were the long baggy kind and he had none to wear because he'd come to the island with only jeans. He needed to remember to put in an order for some proper basketball shorts.

The thick jungle passed against her body like it was nothing, she never even put ehr hands out to press away the greenery she simply walked through it. This of course caused her to gain a scratch or two from pssing branches but she didn't seem to notice, she had felt worse, much worse. The smile on her face kissed her eyes as she headed for the lake her hair falling over her shoulders like a great black waterfall hiding, luckily maybe, her chest, as the thought had yet again passed her by to get dressed this morning. her cool blue eyes sifted through the breaks in the greenery and finally the breath of water reached her nostrils and she puured. Pyroth had once before taken her to this watery paradice, to watch the 'sprites' make the water shine. A teeny giggle escaped her, though this quickly stopped as she tripped over a tree branch and came tumbling on to the spongy bank with a groan of dissaproval "owie" she whispers never noticing there was a person int he bushes while she nursed a aching elbow.

Jamal grumbled to himself, mention of "goddamn bitches" passing his lips as he rose to his feet in the water and traced a hand across the water at just below his navel. It was pretty quiet there at the lake...yet again another unsettling feature of this island. He was not used to quiet at all.
Luckily, perhaps, his back was turned to the nude woman who tumbled down the bank and her whisper was so soft that he didn't hear it. The faint rustling of the brush had been noticed, but he'd simply put it off to be the wind or some passing wildlife.

Colche tilted her head softly, what was that peeping out of the water? Her elbow suddenly became the last thing that worried her. The thing, the creature that lurked in the water, was rather decerning. Biting her bottom lip, then ultimately her tongue as it stuck out and she became thoughtful, wondering what she should do about the strange half creature. At this point, Jamal moved and she frowned, it was a human, or at least a bit of one, where the rest of him was was quite beyond her recognition. Brow wrinkling and a deep unhappy crease coming to her forehead, she pouted and watched in silence. Was she dreaming? Had something come to get her? It must be a dream, how did anyone make their body dissapear. A shiver ran down her spine and at last words came out "Man?" she bit her bottom lip roughly, she definately heard her own voice, and the taste of blood, irony blood, upon her tongue affirmed that she was indeed awake, it was so strange, where was the rest of the person?

Jamal whirled abruptly, hearing the soft-spoken query of "Man?", sending a wave and flurry of water into the air as he moved.
He all but goggled at the sight of the naked woman on the shore. It took him a moment to realize that this wasn't some beautiful naked 21 year old coming his way, but a very -young- teen whom was naked and his eyes widened and he whirled back around so his back was to the girl, his tattooed chest heaving as he gave a loud "WHOA, WHAT DA ********!?" of surprise. Oh s**t, he was going to be in trouble. Ooooh s**t. This was SO not his fault.

Colche jumped back in surprise at the shout stumbling backwards only to find her back then ultimately her head against a rather large tree "owie" she exclaimed dithering all the more now as she watched the man with wide blue eyes, eyes which screamed of fear. She hadn't been 'sworn at' since she came to the island and old words rushed through her mind so she couldn't help but call out "NO WORK! NO WORK!" she called curling up against the tree her jet black hair covering her like a long silken blanket "no work, bad, no work, no work!" she mumbled having little or no clue what else the half a person had said to her only picking up on the one word.
