On the kitchen table, there was a note, next to an item. When Ryuusei went to get some of the pineapples slices from the fridge, she noticed both, blinked, and landed to read the note. Quote: Sorry for the delay. Been busy. Happy second summonday ! You're a big girl now ! razz -Z And beside the note, there was this : Ryuusei gave a quite audible SQUEE, scooped the plushie the best she could, and flew off, forgetting all about those stupid pineapples. It was just big enough to make a pillow... thanks god, the makeshift pillow sucked. D: Zero, from the hallway, chuckeled at the sight and went back to work.

((Crossjournal Entry : Ryuusei / Locke - A promise))
Slash, an orange sword fended the air.
Slash, a yellow one followed.
Ryuusei found herself being more and more interested in learning how to use those swords. She found that looking from games worked well, expecially Crono for Chrono Trigger. Of course, this meant she could not play herself at the same time, but she had a plan.
This was no FF6, soooo...
"Do ice sword again, Locke."
"Im sick of running in circles... is that all you do in those games of yours ? Its so boring !"
"Well, no, but I don't want you to progress in the storyline. Its MY save, after all."
Locke grumbeled. Silly fairy... why did she need to learn swordfighting for ? And couldn't she ask their mom to be the gaming slave ?!? He had better things to do...
Ah, if it wasn't of that promise...
"This better be GOOD, Ryuusei. Remember, you promised you'll give me something cool if I did this !"
"Don't worry." She grinned. You'll like it.
"I BETTER like it." He grumbeled more, then continued. This went on for some more time...
"Okay, it's been an hour. Where's my part.
"Just follow me." She grinned, dropping the plastic swords and flying off, the blonde kid dashing behind her, entering Zero's room without a second thought, and landing on the bed.
"Z's been pretty busy lately, so she couldn't give that to you herself, so..." She tugged a wooden boomrang out.
Silence followed.
"...You missed the part where I said cool, right ?"
"That'll be where you'lld be wrong. She grinned. "Consider this a promise. Ill't lead to something better, once you know how to use this one.
...The fairy knew something he didn't, it was evident. Ryuusei has this MICHEVIOUS look on her face.
"...Yeah, yeah, allright..." He said, taking the boomrang from the desk. "Well, you better be right !" He said, leaving off to his room.
"Oh, I am." She said to no-one in perticular, as she went to continue her game. "Z's just not stupid enough to give sharp objects to little kids..."

I've started taking on swordfighting... kinda. I just mimic game characters. Not as cool as playing the games, but hey, if I get better, maybe I can be a hero, too !
...Hah, yeah right.
On another note, Locke is so damn clueless, its not even funny. XD Z got an idea, and she let me in the plot... the boy is going to have a stroke when he gets what he've been promised. Heheh. Z's not done with it, but its shaping up to be good. Apparently she got the idea by watching me play FF6 one day. Heheh, I rock.
Game of the moment = Chrono Trigger, by the way... Time-traveling sounds messy. Shaping up to be awsome so far, trough !

...Black tyrano be damned.
This was the thought that crossed Ryuusei's mind, as she glanced outside. That snowstorm had been going on for 3 days now... There was no way she could go outside alone, and Zero herself seemed reductlant to brave the storm. Robot or not, snowstorm = you don't see a s**t.
So, there she was, laying on the Edward Elric plushie, and currently playing cushion and jungle gym for many pixapets. It seemed there was a new one in the house each time she blinked, but Ryuu was not about to say anything against it. On the contrary... There probabely wouldn't be enough for her until she wouldn't be able to see the floor, and even then, she wasn't the one that needed said floor.
They made a stormy day a little bit brighter, she thought, snatching Novastar at a pass, the scottish fold setteling and purring almost instantanly as the feien began to idely scritch behind the little folded ears.
Ryuu wanted spring... Trough she had only heard of it. If it would get warmer and make the snow go away, she was all for it.

Quote: Well, as the snowstorm finally had decided to end, Ryuusei found herself able to make her way to she shop. At least, it was getting warmer... Entering the shop as per habit by the window, the yellow feien glanced inside to see if there was anyone inside. Kojak was, for once, actually reading the information on feien genetics on the message board. Though his eyes glanced up to the new information, he was mainly interested in the genetics. After all, most of the old news he was aware of, but this he had passed over -- and, oh, look, another feien!
... except wasn't Simon still in the bathroom? Did he fall in?When she spotted the other feien, Ryuu finally fluttered inside, torward the noticeboard as well, landing beside him and glancing. "Anything new on there ?" She asked, smilling, visibely trying to start a conversation. Well, right. Back on the path of talking. "The posts above the genetics information are new, they were just added a little while ago." By himself and Simon, but -- hey. He hadn't caught Simon's name yet. Go figure.
Kojak turned to smile at Ryuu, that ohsocharming smile in place. "Otherwise, nothing new. Old stuff was taken down too.""Really ? Hm... better check it out then, ne ?" She flicked a braid away from her face, then extended her hand. "Im Ryuusei. I don't think I saw you before... Might I know your name ?" "Probably." Since there had been changes going on around the shop. It was what happened when you didn't visit for a while. At least, that was his thought on it. "No, I don't think we've met before. I'm good with remembering faces." Confidence was all ways there, plus that charming smile. "I'm Kojak. It's a pleasure to meet you, Ryuusei."She withdrew her hand when she figured he wouldn't shake it, and peered up again. "I don't come around a whole lot, so its not surprising. Stupid winter." The feien made a face at that word. "At least its starting to melt." "I wasn't around so much last month, myself," he said, shifting on his feet to look up at the notices. His tail swayed a little, slowly, as if mimicking the rate his thoughts were going at for the moment. It was a slow day. He gave Ryuu a small glance, raising an eyebrow. "Don't like winter?" For him, honestly, he couldn't care about it either way. Though the fact it was like melted slush wasn't too pleasant when one landed in it."The air's too cold. It doesn't feel good." She answered, only noticing the tail when it did begin to move. Well, that was a new one for her. A feien with a tail ? But hey, she had two colored hairs, so she couldn't really talk. He did as well, too... "My bond told me that its warmer in summer, so I think ill'd like that better." "It was cold when I arrived, so I suppose I'm use to it. I keep warm though." Kojak paused, head tilting back a little so he could look at Ryuusei. She did have unusual hair, compaired to the other feiens. Kind of like himself. "It's spring now, that's what Wren -- my bonded -- told me. There will be more rain, before the real summer warmth comes or something like that. Won't be so bad to be outside more then."Silva stalked into the shop, scowling slightly. Dammit, he had thought he had everything he needed. How the hell was he to know that there were as many big east mountains as there were? He lived in Gaia, for crying out loud. He looked around, dismissing the juveniles in the shop. They wouldn't know where Kalin was. Hell, HE didn't know and he was an adult. He would have to hunt down Yanvir again... Dammit. After a second Silva headed for the tunnel yet again. Maybe the little psycho had a map or something... As she stepped into the shop, Sunil was not in quite so good of a mood this time as she had been previously. Something about how blue the sky was had pissed her off. Or maybe it was how happy everyone at home was. Who knew? Really, who cared? "Feel free to come out and admire me!" Sunil said loudly, posing near the doorway with her hands on her hips. Scowling into the silence that followed she added a slightly louder, "Anybody?" "Yeah, it won't. Maybe Zero will buy me that portable videogame thing, and ill be able to play outside." She said, joy unhidden. Simon emerged from the bathroom feeling much refreshed. He'd taken his time in there, filling up the sink with warm water and then just soaking in it for an hour. It was probably a gross abuse of ownership privileges, not to mention questionable use of resources, but Simon did not care about that right now. Unfortunately he had the poor luck to walk out of the bathroom at the moment Sunil was demanding worshipers. Toweling himself off with a square of (clean!) toilet paper, he drifted over in her direction. Not because he wanted to. Mostly because he wasn't really paying enough attention. However, then there was a wide demand for admiration. ...Wtf now ? Ryuu blinked, and sent her tiny braids shattering on her shoulders as she turned to look torward the rest of the shop, to see the source of the noise. Frustrated at the lack of enthusiasm for her suggestion, Sunil looked about for vict- err... people to talk to. Spotting an adult feien who looked familiar and a little bit odd, she gravitated trowards him. Getting close she paused, making a show of look at his glasses. "Hello four eyes. You look familiar. Who are you?" And, of course, time passed. And more time passed. And eventually Kojak had to go, because, well, he needed too. ( And obviously Simon occupied the one bathroom he knew about, wait. No, that like that. Try again. Though he would need to get the other's name. ) "It was good to meet you, Ryuu --" he sort of trailed off at the sight of both Simon coming out of the bathroom and Sunil coming into the shop.
... wait, what? He shook his head. "It's good to meet you, Ryuusei, but I've realy got to be going." He gave her that charming smile of his and shoved off the counter, giving her a last wave.
Though, was it really okay to leave the skittish one over there alone with the loud one? He really, really needed to get some names."Simon," said Simon, and blinked. He thought he might know her, too, but a) he hadn't seen her in halfways to forever if they had met and b) he wasn't about to make a mistake and potentially confuse her with some other feien by trying to address her with a name. He figured the problem would resolve itself if he just fumbled his way through it long enough. This was bound to be interesting. Keeping to his personal pledge Indra had found the drive to leave the house and venture forth into the shop. It had been what, two months since last he had been here? Hmph, more like three. And from what he could see through a pane of glass it was bustling more than he had ever seen it in the past. Perhaps coming during the daylight hours hadn't been such a bad idea after all. By the usual methods he found his way into the shop within a matter of minutes. Did he recognize anyone? Nope. Not a face. What was the next step then, if he couldn't just raise and hand and say "ho!" to an acquaintance? Akward... Lucky for Simon, Sunil also had a horrible memory. You'd think placing a feien with both horns and glasses wouldn't be tough, but Sunil really didn't pay that much attention to people most of the time. "Huh. You're pretty weird looking - I can't believe I've forgotten you." Sunil gave him a suspicious look. "Tell me about yourself. Maybe something will click." "Uh, I own the shop," ventured Simon. He almost started to ask her what her name was, but... he had it in one of his old notebooks. He just knew it. When Kojak left, Ryuu just gave him a wave as he did, and returned to read, and catch up on the info she might have missed. "You own the shop?" Sunil said incredulously, giving Simon another head to toe look. "Did this place just go straight to hell while I was gone? How did you get possession of the shop?" Sunil crossed her arms over her chest and gave Simon her best scowl. He owned the shop? Not likely. Simon pushed at his glasses. "When Emperial left, she entrusted it to my care, legally and otherwise. It's only a recent transition, so it's not yet widely-known, but notices to this effect have been posted on the board." "I don't often read the notices," Sunil admitted and then colored a little when a particular memory popped into her head. Fighting it back, scowled even more (if that were possible) until the feeling of failure faded. Putting out a hand, she tried a smile. "May I see your glasses? It must have been difficult to get the lenses so small." Simon couldn't recall the last time someone had asked him that, so he shrugged and removed them, holding them out for her to examine more closely. "I didn't make them myself," he explained, "I'm not all that good with my hands. Corvus made them for me." "Ugh." Sunil said, snatching at them. "I suppose if the great and powerful b*****d made them, they're unbreakable?" When Ryuu was done reading, she glanced again... and decided that perhaps, getting into the conversation might not be a good idea. Instead, she fluttered off to check the inventory and, maybe, check the spells again. She felt wierd not knowing any magic at all... "Far from it. I already broke one pair; this is my second. They do stand up fairly well compared to normal glasses, but then that's true of most smaller objects. An ant can survive being dropped two thousand times its body length; drop a human even ten times its height and you risk serious injury or death." Still a little unsure of himself Indra chose to drift towards one of the counters. True, there was nothing new there are first glance, but a fresh visit at least kept him from looking like an idiot standing in the middle of the shop waiting to be stepped on. This venture, of course, brought him in close proximity to Ryuu. He smiled and nodded in her direction as he peered though the glass beneath his feet to the objects below. Simon's observation sparked Sunil's interest, putting off the inevitable for a couple moments. Twirling the glasses in her hand, she gave him a genuine look of neutrality. (That's as good as it gets really.) "Don't insects have skeletons on the outside? Wouldn't that act like armor and absorb some of the impact?" The yellow feien caught Indra and his wave from the corner of her eyes, then turned to give him both a wave, and a warm smile, inviting him over if he wanted to. "Anything small enough will be able to distribute the force of an impact better than a larger object of similar material," said Simon, holding his hand out. "If you drop a piece of glass two millimeters across from a large height it will not shatter, but a piece of glass two centimeters square will break in two or three pieces if dropped from the height of a human." He seemed to be wanting his glasses back now. It seemed a little contrived, but who was he to argue the intentions of others. It wasn't like his interest had been held in the particular spot he was in, so gracefully he strode over to where the young she-feien stood. "Good afternoon, miss." "Same to you, too." She grinned. alot of new faces today. She sat on the glass, peering up at Indra. "And you would be ?" Sunil didn't really feel like giving the glasses back yet, although she was starting to think it would take more work than it was worth to break them. "Why?" If dropping them wouldn't work, she could stomp on them. But sharp pieces of glass in the bottom of her foot wasn't really her idea of a good time. If only she had something else she could slam on top of them. Sunil started looking around the shop for inspiration. "It's an aspect of physics," said Simon, starting to get just the tiny bit exasperated. "If you wouldn't mind...?" "Actually I do mind," Sunil said, starting to feel amused. "You seem awfully impatient for someone in charge of a shop. How bad is your eyesight without them exactly?" "Fair enough, Sunil," said Simon. He didn't seem to be squinting, at least. But were his eyes really focused on hers, or was his gaze just a tad bit off to the side? "They're mostly for reading." Valsharess bobbed in the air and hummed a little tune. Her hands were clasped behind her back as usual and she hovered here and there with the tune of her song. It wasn't anything familiar and she may in fact have just made it up herself. She bopped her little head as well and her red hair bobbed here and there and her earrings jingled. She was in a fairly good mood and felt like perhaps she might share it.. of course that is if others wanted it to be shared.. otherwise she really did not care one way or other. Val wiggled her tiny toes as she made her way to where she saw a few feien gathered. She wasn't sure if any of them were familiar to her at all but it looked like a few adults and some her own age. At that he had to blink. He had never anticipated the things would progress so quickly... so simple. However he recovered long before anything could be seen as amiss. "My name is Indra. I've been around for some time, just not... around." His long ears were beginning to pick up snippets of the conversation that had been in progress before he arrived. He sensed that it wasn't rolling towards a favorable conclusion. He made note of this and continued the introduction at hand. "And you, miss?" "You know me?" Sunil said, scowling again. "Whatever." Sunil tossed the glasses up in the air a little and then caught them again, watching Simon. "Then why have them on right now? I don't see you doing any reading." "Ryuusei, and pleased to meet you." She smilled, but that smile faded as she eyed Simon and Sunil. It didn't seem like this would end well, she also had that thought... And her common sence told her not to get mixed up into it. If she did, it was likely she couldn't get out of the mess. "I don't come around a whole lot either... mostly because of the snow and the cold. There was a snowstorm where I live some time ago, it got so bad that you couldn't even see outside. Everything was just white." "I've been updating the shop board," said Simon. He wasn't so easily shaken after his recent bath. Furthermore, the goal of "retrieve glasses" had given his mind a remarkable clarity. Sunil couldn't argue with that, obviously one needed to read in order to write. She had a feeling though that he was trying to trick her. Which was probably just because she liked flipping the glasses around in her hand. "But you aren't doing anything involving reading now are you? Why don't you just let me borrow them for a little bit. I think they'd look good on me." Sunil flipped the glasses up and held them in front of her face so she could look at Simon through them. Unfortunately for Sunil, this had the effect of massively distorting everything in view. It was also unfortunate for Simon: anyone with a passing knowledge of glasses could tell the prescription on these was strong, if the thickness of the lenses wasn't clue enough. "They barely fit you," commented Simon, as if he could see Sunil quite clearly. He was right, though. The nose was a bit too narrow and the frames a bit too wide. He crossed his arms and frowned at her expectantly. "If you don't mind, I have to get back to work on the board. The genetics need revising." Val made her musical-bobbing way over, first, to some adults that seemed to be having a discussion. In her own way she seemed oblivious that it was an argument.. or at least that was how it appeared. it may in reality have been that she really paid it no mind. She watched them from above, hovering here and there, still humming while while they talked and bopping her head and wiggling her toes. She didn't know either of them, that she could remember, but the female was holding what looked like glasses. She didn't know that feien wore glasses! How fascinating! "Hello feien adults." She said plainly with a polite smile on her face. "I couldn't help but notice those glasses. How interesting." Valsharess buzzed around Sunil's head in a quick circle before she neatly plucked them out of the elder's hand and looked at them, drifting back up intot he air. She wasn't being deliberately rude. She just.. had her own way about her. The tiny juvenile peered at the spectacles before putting them on herself. They were much too big and made her look bug eyed (and did her eyes cross a little?) "Oo. Glasses. Spectacles. I must look one at this moment. You are distorted. Very strong. Strong indeed." She smiled and pulled them off, blinking to adjust her eyes again. "What the hell?" Sunil said in protest, as the glasses were neatly plucked away from her by some strange juvenile. "That is so rude to steal someone's glasses like that!" Simon couldn't see Valsharess's polite smile, nor could he make out her retrieval of his glasses, but he did gather from her words that his spectacles had changed hands. "You'd do well to listen to yourself, Sunil. Could I perhaps have those back?" he asked, stretching out a hand in Valsharess's direction this time. "That I understand perfectly. Cold and I... we have very little to speak about. Our meetings are sparse and brief if I can help it." He looked about, trying to find something he might lean against as they spoke instead of plopping onto the frigid glass. "This rain, however, I believe I like. I've read of warm places where the rain falls even as it evaporates from the leaves and ponds. That is weather I would very much like to see." And then his attention was spun full over to the development in Glass-capades. In his mind, he comprised a list of various outcomes and how he might defuse each. Choice phrases selected, he was prepared to jump in if needed. Valsharess tilted her head at the two and landed. A contemplative look settled on her face, travelling from a slight furrow of her brown down her features into a pursing and wiggling of her lips. "Well I really suppose it depends on your definition of rude. One might think that saying excuse me is a rude comment and then in fact you are being rude when others may think you are being polite." Her mouth opened to continue before she realized she might ramble and she'd been warned against that. Val looked at the male feien who was looking at her and wanting the glasses. "Well I suppose you can have them, yes. I mean I can't use them. Much too strong. It's a shame someone just left them here in this lady feien's hand. I found them. Yes of course you may have them!" She gave a smile and gave them back to Simon. She gathered that they may be his by how he asked, but her speech was just her own roundabout and confusing explanation. Everyone else may in fact think she was idiotic and/or insane. "I am Valsharess. I suppose I should introduce myself to the both of you since we just met in this place. Thank you glasses, for bringing us together." "Thank you, glasses," mumbled Simon, slipping the glasses back onto his face. He blinked at Valsharess. Yet another unfamiliar face. He supposed he might have to learn who everyone was if he was supposed to run this shop. "I'm Simon, the shop owner." He glanced at Sunil, now that he could actually make out her features. Sunil just sputtered for a moment, wondering what the hell had just happened. "Valsharess. That's a strange name. I suppose it fits," she muttered, crossing her arms over her chest again. "I hope you know you just ruined my fun." "I like air, but not cold air like right now. I believe what you're talking about would be stream, Indra. Z told me about it when she was making tea. When water reach a certain temperature point, it becomes lighter than air, gaz instead of liquid, and soars up... I think. Her explaination was like greek, so that's all I kinda understood of it." She didn't seem to mind the glass at all, sitting on the edge and letting her legs hang in the air, her yellow feathered wings closed against her back, having no use to keeping them spraid out as she wasn't using them at the moment. Now that he was able to see again, Simon couldn't help but to blush slightly at his folly. He should have recognized Sunil sooner. Those markings and the hair -- it could only be Sunil, of course. Her personality had just been the icing on the cake. "Fun at the expense of others is the refuge of the very small-minded," he said, wrinkling his nose. "You're no better than Corvus, Sunil, and he was right about what he said about you." "Simon.." She wiggled her pursed lips again. "I know your name from somewhere..." Her voice dropped as she talked to herself. "Simon.. simon..met a pieman.." She bobbed her head and then opened her mouth. "YES! Halo told me about you. She's my bond you know. She told me a lot about feien I didn't know. She said that I was your bloom.. or .. something. That would mean child, correct? You gave birth to me? Interesting. Really." She had put only little thought into meeting her parent and had felt nothing but curiosity. "Isn't this funny? And I am sorry, lady feien. I will call you lady feien because you have not introduced yourself to me quite yet. I did not mean to ruin your fun. It didn't look enjoyable though, because you were not smiling. I apologize but I was told that fun things made you smile. I hope that you don't do all your fun things with such frowns on your face." "Birth you...? Ah, no," said Simon quite firmly, intent on erasing any misconceptions on this juvenile's part before they could take hold any deeper. Particularly if she was actually one of his offpsring. While she bore little resemblence to himself or Yasha, she did look a bit like Fifth. "Feien don't give birth. Feien are borne by a fairy plant. Furthermore, we have 'children' only in a very technical sense. All feien are in actuality children of their mother plant." "Refuge of the very small-minded." Sunil mimiced, rolling her eyes. "And I really don't give a rat's a** what Corvus said about me." She gave Simon a hard stare, narrowing her eyes at him. She didn't like this little smarty pants than thought he was better than her. And the fact he obviously had been friends with Corvus only pissed her off more. The fact that the freak juvenile was apparently his kid siphoned off a little of her rage into laughter. "Your kid is a freak Simon. Like father like daughter?" She gave Val her own little angry glare and then stomped off, leaving a conversation on a losing note for the second time in as many days. Simon very quickly came back with, "Actually, yes. You do take after your father, don't you, Sunil?" His face reddened further. Val lifted up into her hover a bit higher and looked after Sunil. "I was always told that freak meant original.. unles you had some sort of disgusting physical abnormality that made people unable to bear looking at you. At least that's what Gallium says." She looked back at Simon, totally unphased by insults. She remained completely calm. Everything seemed to roll off of her. "Why are you blushing Simon? Are you embarrassed? Should I call you Simon or father or perhaps nothing. Perhaps you don't wish to know me? If that is so then I am completely fine with your wishes. Though I would expect a fairly good explaination. All actions should have plausible and logical reasons behind them." Ryuusei just watched as Sunil left, and seemed a little relieved. This would be one to avoid, she took note... She really didn't wish to get in any trouble. All she wanted was to be happy, her friends happy, and being able to play games and do the things she liked. It shouldn't be too hard, right ? It wasn't like if she was asking for the world on a platter. Simon stopped sniping at Sunil long enough to listen to Valsharess and his color only reddened even more. "No, it's--" he began, then quickly abandoned trying to explain why he always blushed, as the explanation would only embarass him further. "I am sorry we haven't met sooner, actually. I've been... busy." Which was a damn lie. Hiding out in a closet reading books to avoid contact with the outside world did not and never would constitute the definition of "busy." He smiled in response. Of course he had known exactly what he was talking about, but he wasn't going to begrudge her explanation of the simple process. He appreciated that she was eager to share her knowledge even if it was of things he had learned long ago. In return, he would do the same. "I'm quite intimate with concept of steam, down the element in fact. My bond jokes that all she needs to summon me is to set a kettle on the burner. But, what I am referring to a place. There are these forests, far south from here, where the sun lends the most warmth to the earth. They are tropical... muggy... steamy. The also have the strangest inhabitants... things to rival even what we find around here." He was, of course, referring to wide range of exotic fauna that seemed to be the vice of bonds. Wasabineko had managed to keep a healthy cap on her collection... but he had heard rumours... Val nodded and set back down, looking up at her father. "It's alright. I don't leave the house much. No good reason except that I don't. I explore around home and read and try and work on the intraweb-net-worldwide thing. ANd I help Gallium get piercing materials. She did my ears!" She shook her head and the 3 rings jingled a bit. "I haven't seen any other feien with earrings. I think they make me original, though we are all original in our own way. I don't look much like you." Her shift of subject was very abrupt, almost in the same breath. Simon nearly groaned. Apparently, he had passed on his worst traits to this juvenile. (Neither he nor Yasha had passed on any traits to Fifth, of course.) "I like the earrings," he offered. "Feien don't look much like their genetic parents most of the time. It's merely a facet of our biology. We're more related to the plant than each other." After that, trough, she glanced at the time, and her tiny orange eyes whidened. "Oh, im sorry, but I need to go..." She got up, looking a bit sad. "I hope to see you later, you're nice to be around ! See you, Indra !" With this, Ryuusei took off by the same way she came in.

Quote: Eventually Simon found himself pulling out several rolls of cloth and laying down on them. Just to be more comfortable in his shoply duties. Not because he was thinking of taking a nap or anything. Just as he did that, there was a blue and yellow head peering trough the window, then going inside again. No sign of that blue feien... good. Ryuusei flew inside, glad to finally be out of the winter cold, and into the warm shop. A visitor. And not Valsharess. Simon sighed, knowing his chances of being so lucky were not good, and slid down from the counter. "Good day, can I help you?" he said amicably. Or at least he hoped it sounded amicably; he'd only practiced saying it two dozen times on the way over to the shop today. Hm, that guy from yesterday... the one who got his glasses stolen. "Uh, its okay, really..." She said. "I just came to read the majic books again... maybe for one item or two... I should be fine." "Oh," said Simon. "Well if there's anything I can help you with please don't hesitate to ask." Damn, his dialogue was good. If he weren't so terrified of screwing it up he might smile with pride. Ryuu just gave him a warm smile, visibely not aware of his nervosity in the least. "Sure, I will. Thank you !" She went torward the spells then, and sat to read. There had to be a way to learn alone, but how ? No one she knew seemed to be able to help. Not that spells where her top priority, but she felt wierd not knowing any... as if thinking that she SHOULD know some by now. She was two months old, after all ! Simon watched Ryuusei with subtle interest, wondering if perhaps he should try to speak up or engage her in some way. But she was reading the spells, and spells were one thing he had next to no knowledge of. Correction, he had quite a bit of theoretical knowledge, but next to no ability and very little practical experience. Regardless of what some folk thought, having been instructed by Corvus in the matter was not a surefire guarantee of developing magical prowess. Simon decided to busy himself cleaning the vials with a scrap of cloth. he still kept an eye on Ryuusei. He just also made sure he looked like he was being busy and not just hanging around for no good reason. Even if he didn't, the juvenile wouldn't have been the one that would have noticed it, concentred on her reading. She had read them many times, yet she still did, as if she could pick up something she had missed before. After awhile trough, it seemed that it wouldn't happen, and sighed a little. All she needed was a push in the right direction... this was like greek. Oh well, what could she do... ? With that thought, she peered to see if there was any new items. "We'll be getting new items in soon," said Simon, as if he were reading Ryuusei's mind. But he was only noticing her interest in the items and concluding what might be a logical response. He kept his hands busy polishing the vials. "Really ?" She peered at him, with her little orange eyes. "I hope there's something like a cushion... Sitting on a plushie is hard." She said, visibely more thinking out loud than wanting to make an actual statement. "Actualy, yes," said Simon, surprised. His hands paused. "Corvus had been making cushions prior to his departure, mostly for his own benefit, but he was starting to do it for others to stock the shop. It's simple enough, really, so I'm going to be taking over that myself. They should be ready in a week or two." The cleaning resumed. Ryuu just grinned. "Awsome ! Then I can actually play my videogames without toppeling over..." She glanced at him cleaning the vials. "Is there anything I can help with ? My bond won't be there for some time, so..." "Oh, ah, no, I think I've got it for now," blurted Simon, ears reddening. He didn'thave a scripted response for that. "Things have been fairly quiet as late, for which I'm grateful, so I've just been sort of tidying things up as needed. There's not very much to tidy..." He trailed off into a morose mumble. "Yeah... There seem to be less feien than usual, I noticed..." She nodded, simpely sitting there instead. "Its a little wierd... Makes things feel empty." Simon shrugged. "I don't mind," he said simply, his gaze downcast. "I prefer things when they're quiet." "I like when things happen, but... quiet's not so bad, either." She nodded, sending a few braids over her shoulder. "Im Ryuusei... you would be ?" "Simon. I own the shop." He bobbed his head in a sort of nervous greeting. "Tera is sure?" Swaddled as she was, the voice was muffled, but clear enough for all to hear. Held close to her bosom were a pair of odd objects, namely a prickly burr and a bright ear of corn. "ZEE DARK TERA not break them? Tiny Feien type peoples are what should get, no?" Though nervous, her step into the shop was nothing like her usual stalking or skittering. She nodded as she followed the other woman in. "Aii, I'm sure. They're small, but not that fragile." With that, she tucked an arm around ZDT's waist and gently began ushering her towards the items case. Truthfully, she wanted to make sure she was present when ZDT finally got around to getting some items, if only so she wouldn't scare off any Feien that might happen to be in the shop. Simon looked up, blinking and startled. "Good day!" he blurted. "May I help you?" And then came the furious blushing at his perceived embarassment. With a visible double-take, the spindly one turned in Simon's direction, shortly before gasping, "Feien type person!" The simutaneous effort of clutching her objects closer while pointing at Simon gave her arms a strange contorted position. ...Well, Simon was a little skittish, wasn't he ? She made no mention of it, however. "Really ? That must be hard... Trough my bond told me some lady called Emperial owned the shop..." But then Ryuu's attention went to Zee Dark Tera. ...Okay. Yes, Simon was a feien. ..o.o Wincing inwardly, Tera tightened her grip around ZDT's waist, lest the woman become overexcited and attempt to jump the Feien in question. "Shush, Z." After giving her companion a comforting pat on the shoulder, she smiled at the poor creature, who was no doubt questioning the sanity of this pair of humans. "We thank you for your offer, but I think we have it covered." She nodded in what she hoped he, and the other Feien who had spoken, would take as a friendly gesture. "I'm just one of the managers, here showing a new Feien Bond the items available." Simon just froze. He wanted to tell Ryuusei that Emperial was -- had been -- his bond and the shop owner, but-- Simon wasn't usually nervous around humans. But this was no mere human. It was a shop customer, and that seemed to make a large difference. Not to mention it was a shop customer who was currently pointing at him shouting, and that made a HUGE difference. Simon tried to think of something to say or do but failed and concluded he must presently be in a state of panic. So he just stood there, trying to swallow, wondering how one was supposed to stop being panicked. A manager, wait-- This was someone who was supposed to work for Simon. And he couldn't come up with a thing to say to her, or even a basic introduction. He couldn't even come up with enough strength to wriggle his left toe. Now came the flapping of the arms, much like a large bird, one bony elbow nearly catching Tera in the nose. "Two! Two Feien type persons!" Ryuu just eyed Simon some more, and got up, as it seemed to be getting no where ratter fast. "What items is she looking for, exactly ?" She said, hoping that maybe, if she gave Simon some time to calm down, he would be okay. And, also, trying to ignore the failing woman to the best of her ability. Well used to such actions from ZDT, Tera easily ducked her head back, out of the line of fire. This was going downhill, fast, judging by the almost terrified posture of the larger of the two Feien in the shop. Of course, desperate times called for desperate measures, so she simply reached up and placed a hand over ZDT's mask. In a quiet voice, for all in the shop, Tera said, "There's nothing to get excited about here. Just everyday people and everyday Feien, aii?" Finally, Simon swallowed and picked up another vial, as if he might resume cleaning, but he just held it there and stared at Tera and ZDT. A shudder ran through ZDT's body, and much as a blinded bird would, she began to calm down. "Quiet... Quiet time for ZEE and bloomblooms..." The raspy tone of her voice began to slur. Once she was certain ZDT wouldn't start flopping about again, Tera removed her hand and turned to Ryuu. The smile returned, full and sincere. "Honestly, I don't know yet. I thought I'd let her have a look at the inventory first." Of course, that would mean moving closer to where Simon was currently fiddling about with the vials. Simon hastily backed up two steps so as to not obstruct anyone's view. "Ah, we're," he said, and just left the words hanging in the air. Ryuu remained sillent, and stared as the scene as well, unmoving. Suddently, a certain internet slang ran trough her head. WTF ?!? "Ah... Uh... Well." She glanced sideways to Simon, visibely not sure if making the wierd woman come closer was a good idea. "There's small paints, small cups to think and untensils to eat... Plastic rapiers and bee stingers for defence, should it be needed... Uh..." Ryuu tried her hardest to remember the inventory. "..Plastic chests... many colors, really." Her sleeply blinks were hidden behind her mask, but that didn't mean the rest of her wasn't equally lethargic. Slowly, she extended the two objects she held, toward the Feien type persons, wiggling her horns proudly. "Need nice pretties for the bloomblooms, oui?" "... Gems, glitter, hats and cloth," Tera had begun to add to the list the smaller Feien had begun, when she noticed ZDT extending the blooms. Good. They need to meet more of their kind, anyway. With a wry smile, and indicating the pair of odd blooms, she quipped, "I know they don't really look like the norm, but I swear those are Feien blooms." No matter the situation, Ryuu couldn't help but smile. It was actually her first time seeing a feien bloom. "Yes, they need nice things, uh ? Nice blue and yellow things, just like them." Just like her, too.... ironic. She glanced out at Tera, grinning. "Oh, don't worry. My bond said I came out of an acorn, so I don't doubt it." "No, I recognize them," said Simon suddenly, adjusting his glasses. He still looked faintly pink, but seemed to have collected himself well enough. These were humans, after all, not feien, and Simon was acting under the premise that humans were less frightening than feien to him on very many levels. Cooing, ZDT brought the blooms back to her chest, seemingly oblivious of the scratches the blue one left along her skin. "Yellow and blue, old and new! Get things we do, for these very two!" A trill of laughter, which would have been lovely if it were not for the tinge of shrillness lurking within its tones. Simon winced at the noise, but remained otherwise motionless. PostPosted: Sat Mar 05, 2005 11:07 am Post subject: Tera, however, was more interested in what Simon had just said, than in following ZDT's fawning over the blooms. After all, she'd heard about them both nearly nonstop since the woman had first received them. Crouching slightly, to put her on a closer level to the spectacled Feien, Tera raised a brow curiously. "You recognize them?" The interest in her voice was plain. "I know that one came from a breeding. Might you know the Summoner involved in the other?" Likewise, Ryuu gave a slight cringe as the noise hit her ears. Why had she decided to come, anyway ? As Tera went to Simon, it pretty much left her to have to handle Zee for now. ... Wonderful. "So, what do you want to get them ?" She said, peering down the glass. "Maybe gems ? Nice, pretty, and shiny..." "Yes, I knew both summoners," said Simon, finally daring to look up at Tera's face. "I used to live with them, prior to their departure from Gaia." See? Big people were nothing to be afraid of. Except perhaps for ZDT. "Something shiny, something soft." ZDT nodded her head enthusiastically, lifting first one foot, and then the other. "Spiny bloombloom needs caaaareful care." Her head bent down to murmur softly to the blue ball, words that didn't quite make sense to any ear in the room. Her smile quirking up at the corners a bit, Tera nodded. "I had thought that there might be two separate Summoners involved." A pleased light entered her eyes, and she crouched a bit lower. "That must mean your Bond is Emperial, aii?" "Something soft..." Ryuu gave a thoughtfull hum. "...Well, there's gonna be cushions soon, Simon told me earlier. But they're not here yet... Maybe a blanket in the meanwhile ?" "Yes, I'm Simon, the new owner." It still sounded strange to him, that he should be the new owner of any owner at all. He suspected he was the first feien to legally own property on par with normal humans and the like. "Blankets?" ZDT strained in an attempt to see into the case. "Blankets be good, protect from cold and evil demons." "...Right." ...One thing was sure. Her vocation, whatever the hell it would be, was not into item selling. "Well, there's bolt of cloth... Maybe some of them are fluffy, like a blanket ? Im not really sure." The faintest flicker of a blink was the only indication of Tera's surprise; somehow, she'd thought Simon the Owner would be a human friend of Em's. No matter, since this was probably best for all involved. After all, how best to know what a Feien would be interested in at a shop than a Feien? "Well, Simon, it's a pleasure to finally meet you." Lifting a hand to touch her forehead respectfully, she gave an inclining nod. "I am Teralinth d'Kalin, Bond to Maquinar, Quantel, and Ori, and one of the two here to help you with the shop." "Yes, I heard from Em," said Simon, starting to reach out a hand for a shake and quickly stopping when he realized how utterly ridiculous a motion that would be. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well." So this was one of the two managers Emperial had arranged. It was a relief to finally meet her. It was then that Ryuu's attention was capted by the other conversation. "Maq ? I think I saw him a few time... Oh ! Right, he set that billboard thing... Do you think he saw my answer to it ?" It seemed her ears, though human, twitched in Tera's direction, catching a few of the words being exchanged. Introductions, then? She quickly curtsied, though unable to catch the hem of her dress due to the fact she still held the blooms, to Ryuu. "ZEE DARK TERA be me." The blooms were cradled back, and though it took her a moment to remember what had been said prior to her announcement, she finally burst out with, "Orange for blue and purple for corn!" "Hm ?" She glanced back at Zee. "Orange and purple cloth ? Or something else ?" She glanced in Ryuu's direction, a thoughtful expression on her face. "Billboard... Oh, the ads." The smile returned. "Aii, he saw. He's working on getting back to everyone who responded." When she turned back to Simon, she finally registered that he had a pair of horns. Biting back a laugh, as she was sure he'd take it the wrong way, Tera settled for asking, "Have you ever met Maquinar yourself, Simon? He's mentioned a Feien with similar horns to yours in me." Let's see how rare these mutations have become... Ryuu gave a nod in answer, then blinked. "...Mutations ? You mean tails and horns and all that ? I saw a feien with a tail, yesterday. I thought only older feien had those..." ...Well, appart Simon. And Kojak. ...Yeah. Simon thought back. "I think I have, but certainly not any time recently. I met quite a few feien several months ago, but I'm not even sure I can still recognize most of them or remember their names. I'm afraid I'm not particularly good at remembering names and faces. I took down some notes, but I'd have to go through my files to be certain." If he hadn't met Maquinar, he'd at least heard of the fellow through Em or Corvus. He was more than a little aware of how odd it must sound to need to refer to written notes to remember if you had met someone. Simon fidgeted slightly and swallowed. Having started to show her agreement in needing cloth of those colors, ZDT was a little dismayed to see that Ryuu had turned her attention to Tera. Twice. A whimpering noise escaped the swath of her scarf, and she cuddled the blooms even closer. "You might remember the instance." Not wanting to disclose too much information in front of folks Simon might not be happy letting in on his past, Tera simply said, "He told me his meeting of you involved a stake of wood and a make-shift gum bandage." She caught the noise, trough, and turned back, a little startled. "Ah, sorry, sorry !" ...Definitively not her vocation. "So, nice pretty orange and purple cloth for the pretty blooms, uh ?" ...But then something important crossed her mind. HOW was she supposed to get them out of here ? She sent Simon a gaze begging for help, right now, please, then turned back to the woman before she could think her attention went elsewhere again. "I can't get them out, trough... But im sure someone here can, don't worry." That made Simon wince. He'd been afraid of that. "Yes, well, I was younger!" he stammered out, sounding a little angrier than he intended as his face flushed red. Sticking the burr to her dress, ZDT began to reach towards the case, then stopped, realizing she might not be allowed to touch the items. Feien things, and all. Another whimper, this more frustrated than the first, and her free hand found the soft skin of her neck for a sharp pinching. "Wait, then, for the other Tera to get." "Yeah, that would be a good idea." Well, tera had mentionned being a shop manager, right ? Then she had access to the items. "Do you think they will need anything else ?" "Most of you were, if I recall the story correctly." Quick, woman, what else had Maq said? Tera searched her memories for Maq's exact wordage, and once she had found it, she was glad she'd made the effort. "I'm glad you're the same one, though; Maq always said he wanted to get to know you better, because he thought your reaction stuck you up on his list of 'damn strong' Feien." Simon blinked and stopped blushing rather abruptly. "Me? Strong?" Why ever would someone thing that, particularly someone from all those months ago? Another twisting pinch, and she pulled her fingers away to stroke the burr, leaving behind a bright red mark on her flesh. "Mmm... No swords!" Avidly shaking her head, her lank blond locks of hair flew every which way. "None, none, bad!" Ryuu just nodded, finding patience she wasn't even aware she had. "No swords, then." She glanced down at the items again, in thought. "Aii." And that was exactly the reaction she was hoping to get. Simon, if she wasn't mistaken, was still trying to find his way in a world much larger than him, and probably hadn't found his strengths completely. "He said you didn't 'faint, scream, cry, any of the usual things'. He's rather big on being able to take a few licks, I've got to admit." Simon pondered that. Was that strength? Perhaps it was a form of strength. He'd never thought of it like that. He wasn't good at lifting things, he wasn't particularly good socially, but he did have a sort of durability. He'd gone traveling across the whole of the United States with the skin on his back, which was certainly worth something. "I'm honored to be remembered in such a way," said Simon at last. he wondered if he was supposed to add a compliment concerning Maquinar, but he couldn't think of one. Apparently he'd made a stronger impression on this fellow feien than the feien had made on him. Well, that was embarassing. "Mashers." A chuckle, pleased that she had noticed something unmentioned in the case. "Mashers for the bloomblooms, tinted pretty." "Mashers ?" Ryuu blinked, glancing down, and didn't seem to know what the woman was talking about. "...Pretty color... maybe red ? Or black ?" "I'll let him know I ran into you." Then, as if she had suddenly recalled something, which she in fact had, Tera added, "Ice Queen and I decided to hold a 'Meet Your New Staff' party at my House next weekend; if you have a chance to drop by, you can probably see Maq there." "Mashers!" She jabbed a finger towards the case, in the general direction of the pebbles. "Good for smashing, mashing, crashing!" "That sounds like a good idea," agreed Simon, already doubting he would show up. Last party he'd been invited to he spent the entire evening hiding out far from all the noise and people. Careli had been furious at him about it later. "When and where is the soiree?" ...Ahhhhhh ! The pebbles ! "Well, I don't think those come in other colors. But that gray is lovely, I think." She smilled. "So, orange and purple cloth, and peb- mashers." "Next Saturday, starting at two o'clock." Tera straightened up so that she could pat down her pockets, looking for a bit of paper. She came up with one quickly enough, and a pen to go with it. With a little effort, she was able to scrawl out directions to her home in tiny enough writing that the paper would be manageable for a Feien to carry. "It's to be held at my House, in the backyard, but I plan on making quieter areas available for those who aren't quite as social as others." "Paint the mashers," ZDT intoned, as if this were the most obvious thing in the world. Her feet inched her closer to the case, and Ryuu as well. "Then you'lld have to buy paint to paint them." ...If the paint would even stick to pebbles. As Simon took the paper, Tera smiled. "Don't worry too much if you can't make it." Tucking the pen away, she glanced around the shop. "I'm fairly soon we'll see each other again, outside of social gatherings; staff meetings to discuss the future of one's business are fairly norm, aii?" Not to mention the fact that Maq would probably want to drop by on one himself at some point. "Colors, and mashers, and blankets, oh my!" She crouched quite low to the floor, making her at eye level with the very top of the counter. "But don't look behind the curtain!" "Yes, I should probably schedule something like that," said Simon. Yet anothing thing to add to his list of shop duties. "I'd like to meet the other manager in more detail first." He'd sort of met her once. Simon was struggling to come up with the sort of appropriate business discussion the situation seemed to require. He was too quickly running out of things to say, and this to a -manager-. This did not bode well for his time as shop owner. ...Uh. okay. Well, this officially raked up high on Ryuu's wierd scale. If not over the top. This coming from a fairy unusally stuck in her little world of magic, epic heroes, and traveling. Read, videogames. "Okay, I won't." Instinctively, Tera reached out and snagged the back of ZDT's scarf, though she kept her attention on her conversation with Simon. "Sounds good. I own two shops outside of my duties here, and I freely admit that getting to know one's staff is key." Ryuu heard 3 small taps at the window, and she knew exactly what it meant. Turning, she tugged lightly at Tera's sleeve. "Excuse me, miss Tera ? I think your friend decided what she wanted, and I have to get going. Z hates waiting in the cold. She turned to Zee, and have a small bow. "Sorry I can't stay, but im sure you'll be fine !" With those words, she flew out.

Well, now I know one thing... I will never be an item shop manager. Never, ever, EVER.
I've been going to the shop alot lately, since its getting warmer. Last time was... special, trough. I guess that'lld be the best way to put it. Seems like the shop changed owners. Its not the Emperial lady Z talked me about, but another feien that runs it now, his name is Simon. But then a girl and one real... wierd... scary... woman came in. Looked like Simon got scared (...not blaming him. Not blaming him...) and since was getting nowhere really, REALLY fast, I handeled the order, kinda. Eek. It took me like half an hour to get her to decide on 3 items… thanks god Z came while she did, anyway… Because I might just have fled if she didn’t. It wasn’t even MY job, anyway.
Meh, whatever. Its over now at least. Ill just go back to playing now.

((Dual entry : Ryuu/Wren))
A small cap of pepsi, couch, controller, ps2.
The ingredients that made Ryuusei an happy fairy.
"Left."
The blue character on the screen dashed left, dodging a blaster shot.
Zero leaned back, polishing Wren, who watched this... bonding moment with massive interest. The woman yawned.
"Right."
Ryuusei clamped the analog stick to the right, avoiding another shot.
Zero closed her eyes.
"Hole."
"Wha-"
X falls in hole, and explodes into massive energy balls.
"DAMNIT !"
"I told you there was an hole." Zero said with a shrug, grapping the oilcan.
"But you weren't even LOOKING !"
"In all actuality, due to misteress's robotic nature, it is most possible that she recorded the playtrough as a video file in her memory systems, and thus would he how she guided you." The fandangle couldn't help but put in her own 2 cents.
"Oi, oi, I get it allready, I got owned."
"That would not be what I said."
"But that's pretty damn close !"
Zero just chuckeled, putting an end to the "argument" by inserting the cd that contained the french language, as Wren had requested to learn it earlier. The fandangle then felt into silence, still nested on her knees.
"Ne, Z ?"
"Hm ?" Zero had leant against the couch again, staring at the celling.
"Im just wondering... In the game, those guys are robots like you, right ?"
"I don't know, I never saw their systems. I don't know em. Im not from that world." The reploid saw the question come from a mile away. "Dimentions... are a messy thing, Ryuu. The world I do come from is probabely alternate to that one, if it does exist. Because, for all you can know, what is a game to us, might actually be the truth in another world, another timeline..."
"You'lld be the living proof." Ryuu grinned. "Ready to be my spotter again ?"
Zero just grinned, and spoke in a totally annoying tone.
"Do you hear me, Ryuu ?"
"DAMNIT ! Quit that !" The fairy glared, but a smile cornered her face.
"Please be less loud." Wren mumbeled, but knew that was about no use.

Quote: ...So it was still winter. But it was warmer outside, to the point where Ryuu didn't freeze the second she went outside. She could tolerate that. Entering, as per usual, by the window, the yellow and blue feien peered inside, and, reassured by the lack of scary human persons, made her way in almost without a sound. Simon looked a bit more confused now, pushing agitatedly at his glasses. "I'm a researcher. I keep notes," he said, as if that was some sort of great explanation. When it occurred to him it was less an explanation than Driesan was hoping for or deserved, he said, "My writing is mostly technical; I'm not sure what help I might be to you." It just clicked right then that he might be bothering this Feien. Bothering was not something Driesan wanted to be known for. "I'm not bothering you, sir... Am I?" He cast a glance over at the newcomer, the yellow and blue Feien... She looked interesting.. Maybe -she- wanted to read his poetry."Certainly not," said Simon, flushing just a little. He glanced over at Ryuusei but continued addressing Driesan. "I'm simply not sure I can be much fo a help to you. I am not a creative writer, though I was bonded to one." Ryuu just blinked, a little lost in the conversation, visibely. She gave Simon a wave when he looked her way, trough, remembering him. She didn't remember the dark-skinned one, through. "Uh, do you need help with something ?"As long as she didn't wind up as makeshift item shop rinner again... Finally! Some common ground! He wanted to launch into this long discussion about different types of writers, but no. THAT would probably be considered rude. Instead, he just settled for a small sentence setting down the fact that yes, they did share a common interest/situation. "My Bond is a writer as well." He looked over to the female Feien, and smiled when she spoke. "Umm... I sort of suck at poetry... if you're any good at writing, will you help me with this poem I'm trying to write?"Poetry ? Uh... "Well... I never really tried to write anything... But I guess I can try ?"I suppose you shoudl read us the poem," said Simon. Not that he thought he could be of any help. Just to try and get things moving in what he surmised might be the right direction. They wanted to hear the poem! Grinning, Driesan nodded, and moved back over to the shelves to climb up on them, and reach for his poem - which was, of course - the top sheet of paper. He brought the pen back down too, just in case - and the black paint he'd been using the write with, careful not to spill it. He set the ink down, and dashed back over to the others, pen in teeth, then on the ground as he set it down, and began to read his poem. "Tonight the store seems empty, As I sit here and write, waiting for something to happen, Tonight the moon seems fuller, And the darkness is creeping around cabinets, to get me, Tonight I cannot sleep, Because I sit here and write this, insomnia taking it's hold, And keeping me up to finish what I started." He paused, then looked up. He was rather proud of the word "insomnia" - he just figured out what it meant, and it felt good to use it - but he knew the poem sucked. HE even thought it did."Don't poems usually rhyme ?" Ryuu pondered out loud, visibely a little clueless. "...But what's wrong with it ? It doesn't sounds bad at all to me..." Her face turned pensive, trough. "...Maybe the last line... It kinda sounds like there's something wierd. Maybe it would sound better like... As it keeps me awake to finish what I began ?"For a moment, Simon looked blankly into the distance, listening to the lines with great care. Then he said, "Isn't poetry supposed to rhyme?" "Uhh... yeah. Most of it does - that's why it sucks. It doesn't rhyme. I don't know how to get it to rhyme." He blinks, and looks at the two - at least they didn't chew him up and spit him out, in terms of criticism!"It almost rhymes," pointed out Simon. "'Empty' and 'get me?'" He looked at Ryuusei for confirmation. "Hey, it doesn't suck. I wouldn't be able to write something like that. I have about as much way with words as a bouncing rock." She shrugged. "...My bond says I can sing, trough, but she's wierd.""Hey, it doesn't suck. I wouldn't be able to write something like that. I have about as much way with words as a bouncing rock." She shrugged. "...My bond says I can sing, trough, but she's wierd."She rose an eyebrow when Simon pointed the rhyme out. "Yeah, I guess its just a matter of reworking it a little, and you can make it rhyme then."Driesan blinked, as he noticed something he hadn't noticed before. The female Feien... was indeed female. Driesan had been bonded to, and grew up with, all male influence. It was very odd to see a member of the opposite gender... He found himself staring, and blinked, quickly turning his head before she realized just WHAT he was staring at. "Umm... Thanks. I'll revise it a bit..." All while refusing to look at her.Simon, meanwhile, was quickly descending into the problem of rhyming. "One could simply take the ending syllables and combine them with the letters of the alphabet and see what words result," he said. "Its... okay ?" Ryuu blinked a little at the sudden stare, then at the as-sudden looking-away. "Uh, everything's okay there ?"Uh oh. Caught. "Yes! Yes, everything's absolutely fine. Nothing wrong here. I'm just err..." He scanned the room for something to look at. "Looking at that... that piece of paper sticking out of the book over there. Yeah. That's it. Just looking..."Simon frowned at Driesan, pulled out of his deep ponderations on the composition of rhyming words by the juvenile's exclamations, and watched Driesan with a sort of perturbed look on his face. One could have sworn they saw Ryuusei sweatdrop. Or perhaps this was only because someone watched way too much anime. At any rate, an eyebrow rose. "Uh... okay." She sent a glance at Simon, as if he somehow knew what the heck is going on. Driesan looked back at the femme feien, and swallowed. Something about her just set him to... want to... well, to do what Zael was always talking about doing. What was it called - Kiss? Something like that. He put that thought out of his mind. "Really, though... thanks for the help.""Certainly," said Simon, not that he had been much of a help. Driesan's odd behavior piqued his interest but also raised his shackles a notch. Not a great combination in Simon's experience. Ryuusei didn't look completely convinced, however. "Hey, if there's something odd with me, you should just tell me, right ?"...But what ? She'lld never had someone react like THAT before. Driesan closed his eyes for a moment... What was it Zael said? First, get her name. Name, right. Name name name. "Excuse me.... What's your name? I didn't catch it.""...Ryuusei." Okay, the more this was going, the more lost she was, so she decided to stop asking herself questions. "My bond said it means shooting star in her first language.""That's interesting," noted Simon, a sort of "I'm still present" comment. "Umm... nice to meet you... Can I just called you Ryu? Umm... this is Simon... But you already knew that didn't you...""Yeah, I've met him before." She just twirled a braid around her finger idely, as she usually did when just standing somewhere. "I don't know your name, trough... And yeah, you can."Oh! HIS name... stupid, stupid him. "Umm... Oh, my name's easy. It's Driesan.." He paused for a moment, then spoke up again. "Not that your name's not easy! That's not what I meant at all! Unless you want it to be..."What WAS it with this guy ? o_O;;;;; "Uh..." Orange eyes blinked for what probably was the 300th time in the last hour. "...I guess it depends how you see it. I guess it would be complicated for someone who doesn't know japanese..."

As it became common on the 19th, there was a note. But this time, the note moved. "Hey, quit it !" Ryuusei let out, flying down and finally managing to pin it down. Under the large sheet of paper, there was most adorable eyes. A small yip. A lick on the face, and a miniature little kistune. Ryuu squealed, then cuddeled it. "Awww, you're so cute ! You need a name, how about... Snowflake ?The kistune yipped happily, and the note laid on the ground, forgotten. Edward sighed, rolled his eyes, caught it in his small jaw and ran off after the two. Quote: Ryuu didn't know what she was stepping into. Entering by the window, she was surprised to see the place clockfull of people. "What the..."Patience brow scrunched up even more. Where were they coming from if it wasn't Gaia?" Then where are you and your employer from? Where would we be going if we went with you? Do you have evidinse of this location? Why should we go with out any proof of who you are and any feiens that have been bred." If there was other feiens bred, why weren't they there advertizing with the woman as well?A huff emitted from the large man in the corner, looking at the woman who spoke of this. "You make it sound plush - but you can't replace a bondmate so easily. It's not just some little hand out compatability test you complete." He muttered, staring through the glasses that sat on his face.
Arith, on the other hand, was hushed, watching curiousily, even so, a bit threatened. "You talk about the 'ultimate' feien, and saving our race... but for those of us that are adults..." Aleric started out slowly. "It would mean death. Perhaps the children would live... but I don't see how giving my life is helping to save my race in this case." "Perfection is overrated, ma'am." He finished, rustling his wings to show how worn and tattered they were. "But you're right. My bondmate was forced to take me. She should be the one that decides." There was an eerie calm to his words, and a little smile playing on his lips. "But you're treating feien like commodities and I doubt many people would appreciate that." Ryu! She was here! Driesan flew towards the window, and stopped, panting, when Ryu was right in front of him, dropping down to land in a crouch. He just wanted to be with someone familiar, is all... "Don't mind me..."Lifting her arm, the woman presented a folded sheet of paper, exclaiming "I have a note here from my employer, for the proprieter of this shop, which attests to my credibility, and the legitmacy of our project. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you the location in which we are conducting our experiments, because it is classified as top secret." Raphael looked at Cerratine quickly, suddenly understanding. "W-would...w-would my bond b-be happier...She would get a new feien...would this make her...happy?" It made perfect sense to him. Magiale wouldn't have to deal with him anymore...or something. Noticing a feien she knew and, by the bribes of conversation, not feeling completely safe, Ryuu flew over, and nested on Nerpin's shoulder. She definitively wished Zero was there right now. "Nerp ? Arith ? What the ******** is going on ?"Arith - too - saw Ryuusei and quickly flew up towards her, perching next to the younger feien - paying mind to Dreisan too. "This sounds really fishy" she muttered to the other two "And Nerpin seems aggitated.""It is plush, and very important!" she insisted. "We're talking about the preservation of thousands of peoples' lives! Not to mention that our facilities are better equipped to deal with large numbers of feien than any other located on Gaia." She turned to Aleric, blinking at him. "Are there no juveniles or blooms available to us?" Driesan curled on the windowsill. He was scared. He was very scared.Xander swung by to offer his hand, and Driesan greatfully accepted, clinging to Xander's thumb tighter than he ever had. "Don't worry, lil' one. I wouldn't trade you for the world." "I said the children might live." He replied, smiling slightly. "But you might wish to warn the adults when you propositiion them as you did me. It's underhanded, otherwise." He didn't mention the fact that not all adults thought things through. He didn't need to. "Our research suggests that feien can survive at great distances from their bonds. There is no reason to assume that you would die if you were to join our experiment, though we would prefer of course that the feien joining us are juveniles, or blooms, so that we could bond them to our own people." Patience looked at the woman sceptically." What about you Miss... You and involved yet you seem to have no feien of your own. Why not?" "A good question," she conceded, "I have not yet been granted one by my employer. But assuming we can get the breeding stock we require, I should have one in several weeks." Xander spoke up. "And if we refuse to give you our Feien? What's to say you won't just come back and steal them? We can't trust your word unless you give us proof. And paper doesn't cut it. For all we know, you could be a con-artist, specializing in forgery. What's to keep you from coming to our houses, and STEALING the Feien you need for your "experiments"?" The anxious and somewhat fearful mood in the room was not lost to Raphael, and he shrunk further away from the lady and from everyone else. He regretted having spoken up at all, and silently hoped that no one had heard him. ...Trading ? Feien ? Ryuu bristeled, and the mood was set to b***h "Well, you can shove it, lady ! Im perfectly happy with my bond, you get me ? And most of us are this way ! Go try your little feien trade bullshit avay from our FACES !"She stepped in front of Arith protectivly, not that she could do much. "If I may be permitted to speak for a moment," the woman began, addressing everyone, "At present, the only people allowed to have bonded feien are the highest ranking members of our organization. Without your help, I will never have a feien of my own!" She paused, clearing her throat, then continued, "Furthermore, the feien we do have can only be bred so many times. We are limited in the number of combinations we can presently create." She frowned, bringing her eyebrows together in a cross manner and hunching her shoulders. "I am not a con artist! I am a lawfully employed citizen of a very exclusive organization!" she insisted angrily. Xander was furious. "You're treating Feien like they're.... like they're SHOW DOGS! They aren't! They are living, breathing, FEELING people - JUST like you or I or anyone on the face of Gaia or any other planet you might imagine. You want us to willingly hand over out... our CHILDREN!? GET OUT. I would NEVER, NEVER give away my... my SON to the likes of you - no matter HOW great the reward you offered me. I don't even know you are legit. GET. OUT." "Big deal ! Our feien got bonds. You can get one too, without stealing someone's family !" Ryuu definitvely wasn't happy, and let her bad mood take the best of her. "How would YOU react if someone came and wanted to take you away from your family ?!?!"The woman glared darkly at Xander, lips curling back in a snarl. "I come to you offering the greatest opportunity to ever come to a feien bond or a feien! And you accuse me of thievery? We're trying to create a perfect universe where everybody is happy and all you can do is stand here and tell me you won't help us? They would not be treated a show dogs, they would be very important, contributing members of our organization, not just creatures to be paraded out! There are more showdogs here on Gaia than they would ever be with us!" "Research." Aleric repeated, looking straight at her. "Given by a stranger who has little known credibility is the same as nothing at all." How did he know all of this? Maybe his bond with Ice... he would have to ask her. "But I have made my decision, no matter what you promise. You may approach my bondmate if you wish. Unless she agrees with your idea, I will be staying right where I'm at, thank you." He smirked, looking over the crowd curiously, his eyes landing on the blonde feien with the green markings. Another adult. And a very appealing one, at that. Then he spoke to them at large. "She doesn't seem the type to steal a feien. It sounds more likely that she is obsessed with paperwork rather than dirty work. So please relax. She has a goal. Misguided though it might seem." "We don't give a s**t about your opportunity, are you DEAF as well as one seriously moral-lacking person ?!? We don't care about perfection, we care about being happy with the people we love ! If you remove just one person, one feien from here, you might crumble countless lives !"There was silence, for a moment, from the strange woman. "How would you like it if it happened to you? How would you know?" she seethed. "I was taken from my parents when I was very young, and it was only through the great graces of this organization that I was given a new family. But we can't defeat the enemy all by ourselves - we need help!" Xander growled a little, and shook his head, hard. "Breeding? You talk about genetic mixing... BREEDING. Our Feien are our FAMILY. Our sons and daughters. You can't just come in here and expect us to willingly TRADE you the things we cherish the most on this world. A perfect society doesn't exist - CANNOT exist. Everyone was not MEANT to be perfectly happy - or they would have been born that way. You can take your organization, and march RIGHT out the door you came from." Patience listened to what the woman was saying. She obviously felt very strongly about her side." Miss... What are you trying to achieve by making the perfect Feien? If there is only one, how will everyone be happy?" Patience asked her calmly, compared to everyone else in the room.Nerpin frowned a bit at the woman - but then winced internally as younger feien on his shoulder outbursted. Good ole' reliable Ryuu. Breathing in quietly - which also gave him a visually threatening stance. Standing infront of Xander, he looked down at the woman, flickering his tail softly, with the two feien sitting on his shoulder.
Growling a bit he made himself clear. "It is visible in the occupants of this shop that you - Miss - are clearly not welcome here at this time. I would like you to take the advantage of your time and beat. It. Before I have to exercise my ability to make you do so. Thank you - and have a nice day." he finished, watching her quietly."I will not leave until I have accomplished my mission! You don't deserve your feien - all you do is treat them like pets! How will they ever accomplish anything of importance like that? You've doomed them to a life of mundane tasks and mediocrity. With our organization they would be part of something far greater than anything you could ever offer them here. You are stifling them." "I'm still... new here, but I have yet to be treated like a pet." Aleric said calmly. "My bond has the only person who cared about her killed in front of her damn eyes, and she's not being a freaking angstbag about it ! Your little sobstory just makes you less proffesional. Someone legit wouldn't have to resort to little moral swabs." Ryuu continued, crossing her arms, and unaware she was probabely deafning the poor Nerpin. Shux entered the shop to find that many others have gathered within it. A very odd sight for her. She had only seen it like this once before. Expect with only feiens. This time bondeds appeared.
The air gave a vibe of hostility she did not care for.
'Hello.' She called quitely. Hopefully a friendly face will appear within the shop. The woman took a brief moment to compose herself and collect her thoughts. Taking a deep breath, she continued, "If I fail in my mission many of my comrades may die. All I'm asking for is for some feien to join us so that we may continue to create new feien and in return we would give on our feien to Gaia, which is a fair exchange." Xander grew very, very quiet. "Lady, I was forcibly taken from my own parents when I was thirteen years of age. The family I was sent to live with was hell. I do not want that for my son. I do not want that for any of the Feien in here. None of them." He studied her quietly, fangs showing as he spoke the next sentence. "If you do not leave the premises within ten minutes - I will remove you - permenantly. Take that as you will." "Blahblahblah moral swab... That's all im hearing...""Are you then the person in charge of the shop?" she asked seriously. Raphael looked up and gave Shux a small nod in greeting (it was the polite thing to do) before scrunching into himself again. Being against the wall and all, he doubted she'd actually see him. This woman was confusing Patience." Miss... If I might ask, what will, if any of us come with you, help you go us against? It seems there is a threat some how. What will breeding the ultimate Feien achieve?" Patience's voice trying to be loud enough for the woman to hear. Also Shux should have heard the familiar tone for being Patience's voice. "He is not..." Aleric said calmly. "But my bondmate is manager. We can arrange for it." "Well, hmm, I suppose that's a question I would have to refer to my superiors. But I do believe that the ultimate anything would be extremely useful! How could it not be, if it's the best of its kind?" Xander shook his head, and set the cowering Driesan carefully down next to Ryuu and Arith. "No - But I will take it onto myself to cleanse it of VERMIN if your THICK SKULL does not hear what is being said to you. You can take your "mission" and scram. Yes, you heard me. I neither care about your own sob story, or your damned mission, and I think I speak for most in this room. LEAVE." Well - Ryuu was thinking right - Nerpin had a splitting headache. But it did not entitle him to tell her to get off. Zero would kill him. He just stood there, silently, watching the woman.
Arith on the other hand, perked visibly when she had heard the newest enterting voice, looking at the entrance at Shux. "Hihihi Shux~!" she stated, next to Ryuu and now another, on the dogman (who seemed to be a magnet o-o; )'s shoulderThe woman turned towards Xander, mustering what courage she had, and stated flatly, "May I have your name please, sir?" "No, Lady, you may not have my name. I refuse to let you have my name to do what you will with." Xander's eyes literally burned with blue fire. She spotted Driesan, and then forgot all about her bitchfest. "Hey, Dries... Its okay. She isn't gonna take you away. Im not letting her." She sent the woman a glare, hoping to look strong even if she was not. She've seen so many video game cases of where intimidation avoided a fight - she just hoped it would work here, too. Patience thought over what the woman had said. Ultimate be the best?" Being the Ultimate might not be the best. I have been told how hard it is to bond with genstones and have several emelents... for a Feien to have every element, won't that cause a problem? And what is exactly the apitomy of a Feien? There are imortals.. and Enchantes... but they aren't the best, since thye can't breed... What is the meaning of Ultimate?" She held out the folded sheet of paper clasped in her hands. "This is for the owner of the shop," she said. Quote: Foreign leader detail figurative: Acquired base materials source recompensate. Trifecta newborn passage with investigative mark proceeds. Birthday card from sand return with upward eyes, Sister lover focus Driesan clung to Ryu's leg without even thinking. He was shivering - badly frightened. About to give himself a panic attack. Ianios, Aria, and Kira all flew into the shop. They were going to let her pick out some things, but Ian stopped them. "Whoa..." There were so many feien and bonds. And one woman who seemed to be getting yelled yet. "What's going on?" Kira asked, peering over her father's shoulder. He was being ignored, Aleric thought almost rolling his eyes. Mindless fury was taking center stage. Nothing would be accomplished that way. And although he was sure her ideas were insane, he had yet to see her doing anything other than talking. She hadn't threatened, or tried to force anyone to do anything. So he stayed silent, wondering if he should find his bondmate. Or even look for this Silva fellow he was going to live with. Somehow he got the feeling he would make himself clear... Shux continued to scan the shop, hearing some familiar voices, some new ones. Many full of anger like she had anticipated. But one voice gave a slight smile to her face. Arith's of course. The darkness feien waved and flew over to her.
'Arith.' She nodded in politeness. 'Why does it seem there is something wrong afoot?' One hand laid upon her waist waiting for the answer. Xander's lips raised a little. "It's complete jibberish. And I suppose you're going to tell me it's in code?" Ryuu almost paniced herself as his reaction. No. She had to look strong. Then, ratter, she croutched and trapped him in an hug instead, hoping to calm him down. "Shh... Its okay, Dries. Its okay."She might not always understand how he acts, but he didn't deserve to feel like this. I was all that woman's fault ! "It is encoded so that only the rightful owner of this shop can understand it. Since you are not the rightful owner, you cannot understand. But your insults to me will not be forgotten." She turned to Aleric. "Your bond mate is manager of this shop? I would appreciate it if you would take this note and see to it that it reaches the rightful owner," she said, holding it out towards him. Some vague feeling told him he was being hugged. He curled into it, and shivered more. He did NOT want to be taken away. He did NOT want to go live with someone else. He did NOT.He nodded, taking the note. "I will see to it that she gets it to its rightful place." He said calmly as he placed it on the ground, rolling it so he could carry it. "Until then you might refrain from... recruiting." He asked, almost sounding amused. Xander leveled his eyes at her. "You've delivered your message. Now leave. Before I do something drastic. And believe you me - you don't want it to come to that." Fur the color of blood was already starting to sprout on the back of his neck, his ears, the back of his hands... Without another word and before any reply could be made, the woman strode out. Ryuu just held her closer, glaring at the woman some more. "See what you've done ?" Her voice was low, but seemed much more angry than before. Patience grew quiet up to the door frame, she was looking at everyone and her mind was running full tilt. The woman angered her, confused her and interested her all at the same time. Not exactly something that was a common occurence of Patiences. So she just sat at the top of the door frame and watched.Ian flew over, trying to look at the letter. He glanced up at the woman, then back to the letter. WTF? Kira darted over, wanting to see as well. Aria hung back, landing on the windowsill. "Dad? What the hell is this?"Arith looked at her companions on Nerpin's shoulder, patting Dreisan's shoulder a bit, frowning lightly as she looked up to her closest friend as she made her way to them "This woman came in - inquiring about something to do with taking us away from our bonds and breeding us for some.. kind of super feien or something.. it's really messed up." she muttered softly, looking at the suspicious woman once more, green eyes full of worry and suspicion.Xander calmed, and the hair receded. He glared after the woman, and then went over to check on his Feien. His son. "Driesan... are you ok?" Driesan was still shivering, but managed to look up at his dad, before he curled back into Ryu.Xander nodded, and stood up, looking around, eyes then resting on Nerpin. "Yeesh... I'm sorry about my outburst..." Aleric turned. "I admit, I've not met any of you before. But I will see what I can do to... fix this problem." He said calmly, tucking the letter under his arm. "If it makes you feel any better, I'm what you might call an 'ancient.'" Not that it REALLY meant anything, but the word seemed to carry some weight. Bitting the tips of her fingers in a confused and puzzed gesture, Patience watched as the woman left. It was aparent that this wasn't going to get anywere this night. Patience still stayed up top the door frame.Kira saw the purple feien and whistled. "Oohhh...an ancient! Wait...what's an ancient?" She wasn't dumb, she honestly had no idea. Aria flew over, smiling. "Pleased to meet you. I'm Aria, and this is Kira, my daughter."Ianios glanced around, still trying to figure out what had happened. "What was going on?" And Ryuu, at a complete lost of what to say to make the other feien feel better, contented herself with simpely being there. Shux gave a puzzled look at the answer she recieved. Taking feiens away from their bondeds? That could be useful....for some feiens...
But once she saw the worry in Arith's eyes, she knew this matter was serious. The woman had left before she could join in on the conversation as well.
'Perhaps asking for the breeding matches would work. But I do not understand why they would have to leave their bondeds. Greed seems to be a back motive.'
No matter.
She turned to the other feiens who were accompaning Arith. Nodding at each, although she had never met either of them. Breathing outwards as he watched the woman stroll out in a huff, he looked up at the taller man, shrugging his free arm lightly and nodding softly "It's allright - we all have our outbursts at times - especially when the topic touches home, no worries. I think everyone had their share of bursting out." he stated, chuckling softly and wincing at the ringing in his canine ears.
Looking over to Aleric, he gave a curt nod to the feien, and then looked over at his shoulder where the few feien rested.Driesan was still shivering badly, and seemed to have been at least driven to the edge with the very thought of being taken away. He was whispering something intelligible under his breath, over and over again. It seemed that - for the moment - he was not completely sane.Xander moved back over to Driesan, and looked down at him and Ryu. "How's he doing?" "As far as I can tell, an Ancient is a feien who came from before." Aleric replied calmly, sensing the lingering tension in the room and wishing to calm it. "My bondmate found my stone in the shop and I was reborn." In other words who knew how long he had been dead? He almost sighed, giving them all a slight smile. "Things will be fine. I promise." See a need, fill it. That was what he was good for. Ianios shook his head. There was a lot of bad vibes in here. He noticed Nerpin and flew up to him and waved to Arith and Shux. "Hey! Long time no see!" At least the conforting had accomplished one thing : Ryuu was done screaming. Ryuu nodded back at Shux, but was still focused on Driesan, hoping she would understand. She looked up an Xander, small orange eyes full of worry. "I don't know... Im not even sure if he's getting better, or getting worse... Shhh, Dries, shhh... Its gonna be okay. Your bond is here, see ? Neither of us are letting anything happen to you. I promise."Kira nodded. How interesting. Very, very interesting. "I see. What was it like?"Aria nudged her daughter. "Don't pester him, honey."Zelda flapped into the shop, grumbling to herself. With every passing day she had been getting more and more antsy over that innocent little yellow bloom in the kitchen window. Who knew what would happen when that thing emerged? Nothing good, she was sure. Good heavens, it was crowded in here. She set her jaw and slipped forward. "I should deliver this." Aleric said, nodding towards all of the feien in the room as he took to the air. He glanced over at the green feien once more, but noticed how worried she looked. He wasn't much good at comforting... pity. She was such a pretty thing. Then he stopped, almost laughing at himself. He had spent far too long in the stone. Edit: Of course he didn't answer the question, he didn't know exactly, himself. It had been... strange. And rather blurry. Oh yeah, that was impressive. bitting her fingers a few more times, she finally calmed herself down to get some conversation done. Though this was weighting heavily on her mind. Pushing off the doorframe, she flew over to the Ancient. She landed nearby and nodded her head as a greeting before she spoke." Forgive my sudden intrustion on your current conversation, but what do you plan to do with that?" Patience pointed to the letter and then looking slighty up at the ancient feien. Thankfully he wasn't that much taller then her. Talking to a bunch of the other feien hurt her next since she had to speak up at them half the time.Arith murmured softly and nodded to the Ancient "That would be wonderful, if things could, sir."
looking to the two beside her, and attempted to lighten the mood around Nerpin - even if a little... "I'm sure all should be fine.. uhm.. Shux, this is a friend of mine, Ryuusei, but I don't think I've had the pleasure of meeting this young fellow.." she stated as she patted the poor boy on his shoulder, wishing she could do something for him. Hearing another familiar voice, she looked up and greeted Ia with a smile "Hello Ianios, long time no see." she stated softly.Shux smiled at Ianios, but only half way. She cocked one eyebrow watching him approach. 'Yes. It has been.' The words seemed to flow out of her mouth much like a hiss.Aleric jerked, smiling at her. "I plan on taking it to my bondmate. She will give it to the rightful store owner." He said, forcing himself to relax. "I hope so..." She then turned torward Arith and Shux. "Pleased. I wish we got to see each other in... better settings. His name is Driesan.""Did something happen?" Zelda asked no one in particular. "Everyone seems so worked up." Seeing that he was taking off, she nodded again." Please do. I hope the store owner get's a hold of that... Though I think the current owner is a Feien himself. Simon. I wonder what he is going to think of all of this." She paused, trying to think what the slightly skittish feien might think about all of this. then she noticed she was delaying him form his mission." Sorry, do make sure they get it." Drie started to calm down, to stop shivering. The tension in the room was still thick, but not so much as what had made him withdraw in the first place. He looked up at the person holding him. "Oh... uhh... s..sorry... Ryu..."Ian smiled, deciding to ignore Shux's hiss. "Arith, we must have another talk again. Well, I see you're busy, so I won't take up any more of your time. I've got my daughter here. We're picking out some things for her." He waved, heading back down to Aria and Kira. "Its okay, man. Don't sweat it... You're feeling okay now ?"...Yet... Ryuu wasn't letting go. This was kinda nice, after all... He nodded. "I will." He said. His word was his oath, after all. And this was a very important mission he had been assigned. One that could well mean a change in the feien universe. And he was already having trouble understanding how it worked in the first place. "Things will work out, ma'am. I promise." He finished, taking to the air and heading out the door. It felt good to have a sense of necessity again... If he had ever had one in the first place... "Y...yes... I think so... She just... scared me... and I... I'm sorry..." Driesan didn't move either. This -was- kinda nice, afterall. He looked up to spot Xander, smiled at him, then just let himself relax in Ryu's arms. "I know this is a bad time... an' all.. But..." He shook his head and looked away. No, nevermind. I'll ask you later."As things seemed to have calmed down, Raphael uncurled from his spot next to the wall and stood. Odd...he tried to unfurl his wings to take off, but somehow, they seemed stuck. He reached back and touched them tentatively, slightly confused. Patience looked at the retrating Feien oddly. Ma'am? She shook her head and turned back to see the rest of the feien's interacting afterwards. She didn't know who to speak to and the tension hasn't left the room. She just kinda stood there on the counter, looking around. Shux smiled politely as Arith introduced Ryuu. 'Pleasure is quite mine.' She smiled and rested next to Arith upon Nerpin's shoulder.
She watched as Ianios returned to he companions. But the mentioning of daughter made her think. He had children? She chuckled to herself.Zelda spied Raphael and ventured closer. "Do you know what happened? Wait. Are you okay?" While she was certain she would never allow herself to be in such a situation as this fellow, he didn't seem well at all. "Something big did happen, didn't it?" Ianios returned to his family, down on the floor. "Ready to check out the feien supplies?" he asked Kira. She smirked, ready to find something just for her. She glanced around. All these others seemed beneath her. At least she wasn't getting forced to know them. "Ready, Dad."Ian took her over to the case as Aria went over to Patience. "Hi! How are you doing?"Raphael gave Zelda a meek nod, still confused. His wing felt oddly numb. "Y-yes...everyone started y-yelling...and stuff.." He answered. Arith smiled softly to Shux as she sat next to her, exhaling sharply as what felt like a large weight was taken off her shoulders - especially with the young Dreisan showing signs of feeling better. Waving to Ia as he flew off, she nodded softly "Alrighty Ia.. sometime then. Heh."Patience snapped out of her thinking to look over at Aria. She smield at the familiar feien and turned to talk to her." Hello Aria, I see you brought Kisa. How is she enjoying Gaia?" Patience wondered. Still recalling her seeing Kisa bloom. It was a nice memory. She took a quick glace behind Aria to see Kisa and Ian start looking at things."Yelling?" Zelda thought this over. "Was there a fight of some sort? Over what?" She glanced around. Everything seemed okay now, if a bit tense. How perplexing. And she just had to miss it, too. Aria smiled, but it faded into a frown. "Well, she seems to like it just fine, but she's so different than Ian or I. She seems...well...selfish. Everything is her, her, her. I don't know how she'll react to when her brothers and sisters emerge. I love her, but I will want to spend some time with my other children." She was worried. How would Kira react to that? Raphael blushed and gave another nod. He wasn't really sure on what happened himself, but he figured answering was the polite thing to do. Actually...he could vaguely remember something that the lady had said... "T-there was a lady here...and she was saying something about an ultimate feien. And - and, we would have to leave our bonds...but they would get something better in exchange." Oddly, he found his voice when he said these words. "A rare feien...saving the feien from extinction?" His brow furrowed. Shux crossed her legs and leaned back on her hands. Flying to the shop was tiring at usual, but still nice to be able to do something as simple as a visit again.
'As usual, long breaks between out visits as well. Starting to become a bit of a nuisance, if you ask me. I need to get away from Rislin. Driving me mental, that one is.' It all seemed to flow out of her. At home she felt she could not do this, since any comment could easily offend another.
She bumped a sholder into Arith, smiling.Zelda blinked. "Leaving our bonds?" she repeated carefully. Sunny was an idiot, yes, but... "Wouldn't we die if we did that?" On the other hand, if she could only orchestrate some accident in the kitchen, make off with the bloom, and... yes, this lady could have that. And no more worries about younger-sibling-feien that would interfere with her as yet non-existent plans. No, there were those damn pixapets all over and at least one of them would see. Worse than security cameras, since they moved. "She probably doesn't know what she's talking about," she concluded. Patience laughed. It was a new born, of course it was going to be a bit self centered." Well, that's what happens with new borns.. thats all they think about is me me me... I should pass." Kira peered into the case. There wasn't much she wanted. A chest would be nice....ohhh.....gemstones! Those would be perfect for someone of her beauty. "I want those." She pointed out the gemstones and magic dusts. Ianios nodded. "Alright...I'll get Rynn to buy you that.""I hope your right. Maybe it's a phase." She glanced over at her daughter and Ian. She prayed Patience was right. She didn't want Kira to only think of herself. Arith gave a small chuckle as Shux nudged her, scratching the back of her head with the other arm. "Yes, it has been awhile - once again - hasn't it. I truely am sorry, our timing usually seems to be a bit off." she stated softly, smiling genuinely.
Cantering her head at the meantion of Rislin, she looked to Shux curiously "I always found her nice - I suppose all is not right in the Valora house then..?" she asked, worried for the other feien.Raphael paused to consider that. "Yes...you're right." The tenseness in his shoulders seemed to relax a bit. Of course! It's impossible to leave your bond. He didn't need to think about leaving at all. The feeling was ever so slowly beginning to return to his wings. Carefully, the yellow feien tested one of them. It shivered in its place, giving a meek, ineffective flap. Hm. "Is your wing all right?" Zelda blinked at Raphael with every pretense of worry. Ugh, imagine losing the use of a wing, even for a little while! Yuck. She thought she'd scream if that happened to her. What little freedom she had in a house designed for people so much larger than her would be cut down to almost nothing. "It doesn't look injured. Was it banged around or something?" 'Appearances can be decieving. Ever since we moved again, she's been a bit off. She's become unbelieveably violent. Lopping off a bit of my hair in one of our spats.' She shook her head. 'I honestly don't know anymore with her. Something happened. I don't know what. We just don't get along anymore. Sem thinks it might be due to her extended juvenile state.'He shook his head in response. "N-no." He pulled at the wing with his hand, partly out of nervousness, and partly in the hopes that stretching it would help. "I, I must have sat on it," he answered, vaguely remembering something he'd heard from Magiale. "I-if you sit on your hand for too long, it-it...umm," he struggled to remember, "it'll...go numb." Patience bowed her head in agreement." Yeah. Well, forgive me, but I must get going home. I have been away to long today. Good night Aria, tell Kira and Ian I say goodbye." Patience waves and then takes off for home, bitting on her finger as she flies. She hopes that everything was going to work out ok.Arith frowned at the words Shux spoke, and wound an around around her shoulders. "I.. I'm sure she'll get better as time goes by. Maybe she's just aggitated about her new location.. I'm always a bit edgy when I have to move too.." she stated, trying to make little - if any - sense about the situation Shux found herself in, frowning slightly."I think I read something about that," Zelda remarked. She tapped her finger against her lips. "Cutting off the circulation? Something like that." She shrugged and folded her hands behind her. "Thats it," he said with a meek smile, grateful that he wouldn't have to explain it. He was terrible at explaining things. Then his blush deepened as he realized how rude he was being. "I-I'm sorry..." he mumbled, embarassed. "I-I'm, I didn't introduce myself." The yellow feien haltingly held his hand forward for a handshake. "My name is Raphael." "Uh, allright. Dries." She nodded. She needed to get out of there.... at least for now. "I gotta go... sorry. Ill see you later, okay ? Promise."She didn't know what urged her, but she hugged him again. Then she sent a wave to Arith and Shux, not wanting to disturb their conversation as she left.

The entry was short, and the handwriting was a little more blunt and rushed than it usually was - the writter was definitivly quite pissed. Quote: March 19, 2005
Well, happy freaking summonday, Ryuu. ******** the computer, ill type this later when I don't feel like making everything explode.
I went to the shop. That... woman. She made Dries so scared. Urgh. I know I didn't know him for long, but he doesn't deserve to go trough this... Its all the black hag's fault. I swear... it isn't right. She shouldn't be allowed to walk away like this... Like if she had done nothing wrong.
Dries's a nice person. He's my friend, and he doesn't deserve this bullshit.

Well, I guess I calmed down. A little. Im still annoyed, but what will being mad do ?
More importantly, someone close to Z's seems to have died. She said he was Wren's creator, which explains her recent behavior... I swear I've never seen her that way, its scary...
...Death... scares me. I don't like to think that I will eventually die... but then, who likes thinking about that ?
Death never seem to be permanent in games... But it is definitively real and it scares me.

Quote: Zero didn't really know that to expect. The last day was... draining to say the least, and now all she knew is that Corvus needed to see her. It would have made more sence if he needed to see Ryuusei, but her ? Talking about the yellow feien, she wasn't present. Zero almost asked her, but then she saw that she was in one of those REALLY awful moods, seething and all, thus it was a munch better idea to come alone, whatever it was. If she would have been needed, the summoner would have said it, right ? Well, a little too late for that. She stepped inside, dusting off the small amount of snow that had gathered on her jacket before stepping furter inside. Maybe she was a little early... Something dropped down from the rafters, falling to a stop right in front of Zero's face. It was Corvus, clad back in his old raggedy toga, looking... well, positively ghastly, to be honest. His face seemed unusually pale and haggard and his hair was disheveled. His gaze shifted about uneasily before coming to rest on Zero. When he spoke, his voice was a raspy hiss. "Come back here," he said, darting towards the entrance to the back office, the door behind the counter marked "Do Not Enter." Zero rose an eyebrow, clearly a little worried, but knowing better than to voice that worry. Thus, she simpely did as she had told him, pulling the door closed behind them. Well, if he told her to, it was okay to come in here, right. "Everything's okay ?" Well, so much for not voicing it. "Certainly, fine," said Corvus brusquely. He hovered around the desk, apparently looking for something, running his fingers across his jaw neurotically. His back was to Zero as he searched. After a moment he seemed to find whatever it was and went quickly darting towards a pile of papers, pushing them aside. His face lit up into an unseen "aha!" He quickly gathered some small object into the folds of his toga, mending it into a pouch of fabric, and turned to face Zero looking triumphant. "Now, are you ready? Hold out your hand." "As ready as I can be, I guess..." She held out her black and blue hand. All this thing going on about life and death recently was crazy, she had to admit... But how could she say no to something like this ? Her curiosity was too picked to worry about morals at the moment. Corvus dropped something into the palm of Zero's hand. It turned out to be a large gemstone, pink and orange and black with delicate little patterns that shifted seductively even in the dim lighting of the back office. "Please keep still," said Corvus, clasping his hands and mumbling strange words under his breath. Zero barely got a look at the stone before it started to glow a pale mix of orange and red, and she somehow managed not to jump out in surprise. She almost brought her other hand to cup it, but then remembered she had to keep still, so she did. She couldn't manage to keep her eyes away from the glowing stone, that... didn't seem very stone-like anymore. She couldn't completely tell because of the glow and the fact that she couldn't feel things with her hands, but it seemed like the shape itself of the stone was modifying itself. The reploid kept sillent, not wanting to break Corvus's concentration. Whatever magic Corvus was weaving, it was clearly quite difficult. His brow creased and his form tensed. Somehow, he managed to mutter the words of the spell (if it was indeed a spell he was chanting) through clenched teeth. A growl rose in Corvus's stomach, rising up through his throat until it became a shout. Glowing magical energy flared to life around him, black tinged with golden swirls. Sheer force of will drove this energy towards the gemstone, engulfing the intricate little patterns until not a single speck of the stone was visible. The shout became a furious scream and Corvus suddenly sliced his hands through the air. The black and gold energy collapsed into the gemstone and Corvus fell back onto the table. Not that Zero had time to worry about him. The stone in her hand was a stone no longer, shifting and reforming itself. Zero found herself with a dilemia : Go for Corvus, or focus on the shifting stone. The choice was made for her, through : the stone, now in a state Zero could only describe as semi solid and semi liquid, gathered in the center of her palm, and began to mold itself into a feien, gaining colors and shape. Then, there was a fairy peering up at her, her orange eyes confused. She had pale brown skin, light blonde hairs tipped in sky blue, horns, and, to her surprise, claws. "What..." She asked. "What's going on ? Who are you ?""My name is Zero, but... just give me a minute, okay ?" Zero's brow creased, as she took a few steps torward the table, slowly as to not unbalance the fairy sitting in her hand, her cloth wings dangeling on the side, then called out. "Corvus... ?" "What happened to him ?" The fairy tried to stand, but stumbeled back. "Don't try to stand..." Zero whispered. "He revived you." ...Revived ? So this strange feeling... had been death ? Corvus shuddered and twitched on the desk, mumbling something that might have been "I'm fine" but could just as easily have been "aliens." He managed a short wave with his hand that would seem to indicate the former. He'd survive this. He'd feel it for a good two weeks if not more, but he'd survive. Zero seemed relieved that he was at least still concious. "You want me to get you somewhere to rest, or something ?" She doubted that the table was confortable. The ancient peered from her palm, still looking a little confused. So he would be fine. Good. Hitting the other priority now. "Well, im sorry to break the moment but... What's going on ?""Ah, sorry. Im Zero, and ill be your bond." "Bond ? I... guess many things have changed since I died ? If you could help me situate myself...""That's what im here for." Zero was surprised at how well the feien was taking the whole thing. If she had known that she had died and was just brought back to life, she'lld be freaking out. "Do you remember your name ?" Her brow furrowed, as she still sat. "...Doesn't seem like it..." This was so wierd. So. Wierd. "Uh, what about... Hari ?" The ancient gave a smile. "Ill'd do."From the desk, Corvus muttered something that was really best left uninterpreted and staggered into air. Now his ghastly pale form looked like it had been punched or deflated. He blinked at Hari once, twice, then drifted towards the door, waving his hand at it uselessly. He didn't have enough magic left in him to open the door up. Zero almost said something, but stopped herself, knowing it would be useless to tell him to rest. Hari almost did it for her, but she stopped her in-extremis. Instead, she went and pushed the door open, keeping it open long enough for him to come out, and came out as well. She glanced at the items, but Hari was probabely too tired to worry about this. "Well... at least be careful." She said, before leaving on her own, protecting Hari from the chilly spring wind with her jacket.
