"I don't mind things being a little burnt. Sometimes it adds a bit to the meal," she replied truthfully. Zinnia particularly liked burned hot dogs. She wasn't sure why. In searching for conversation, Zinnia's curiousity was awakened at the mention of shells. "What happened with the shells?"

"Well," Chaos started, grinning again a little sheepishly, "We were collecting oysters and shells, and I offered to help her bring them inside, but I kind of made a game of it and knocked a couple of things over and then Treasure chased me around for knocking one of those things onto her sandal and then more things were destroyed and a shell flinging war ensued for the next hour or so... Other than that, though, nothing much..."
Pond nodded and resumed imitating Chaos about halfway through her explanation, this time leaving his squeaks out so Zinnia would be able to hear Chaos.

Zinnia laughed a bit at the story, it sounding vaguely like something that could happen within her own makeshift family. "An oyster flinging war sounds like fun. Dangerous fun, but still fun. It's a shame that things were destroyed though," she added, wondering what it was that was ruined by this episode.

Chaos looked a little confused, "What other kind of fun is there?" She lived off of fearful stunts and situations, kind of proving that her name siuted her personality, often causing chaos without even realizing it.
Pond shook his head and patted Chaos on the shoulder, going to sit next to Zinnia in the hopes that she wouldn't have as reckles a streak as Chaos. Though, he didn't really know Zinnia that well...

"Well there's the kind of fun you get from reading a book. Though that isn't as exciting as an oyster fight. Oh, video games can be kinda fun, if frustrating sometimes." Zinnia thought of the other kinds of things she likes to do for fun that weren't particularly dangerous. "I also like to explore."

Chaos pondered for a bit, "But you can read about exciting reckless situations in books, and video games are usually virtual reckless actions and situations... And don't get me started on adventuring twisted "
Pond shrank away from Chaos a little more, hiding behind Zinnia's tail.
"Do you guys want food or not?" Treasure asked from underneath a plate of shelled and dried and cooked oysters and clams, "I can always find some one else to eat these." She walked down to where they were sitting and set the plate on the sand.

"You can read about them, but they don't all have reckless situations. Same with video games- there are exceptions." Zinnia turned her head when Treasure arrived bearing a plate of food. "Those look good! Thank you," said Zinnia. She carefully took one of the clams and took a bit. She chewed and swallowed the food, and commented, "I never had one of these before. They're delicious."
(I think I said this was the first time she's had them. O_o *goes to check*)

"Food!" Chaos yelled, diving for the plate. Snatching a few of the mussels she bit heartily into an oyster.
Treasure smiled, "Well, I'm glad you think so!" She tried to swat at Chaos's hand as she reached for another but, missing by a whisker, lifted the plate up and set it on the other side of Zinnia instead.
Pond sniffed at the plate and wrinkled his nose, prefering sweets and fruits to things that had spent their lives in salt.

Zinnia smiled and ate some more of the food as she watched the scene, reminded again of family. She silently wondered how many namrah didn't know the joys of a make-shift family. Some namrah 'families' aren't. Instead, some of these groups are just bunches of namrah forced to associate with one another.

Chaos got up to sit on the other side of Zinnia with the plate but was blocked by Treasure's tail and a stern glance. Instead she sat and finished eating the mussels she was holding, then turned back to Treasure with pleading eyes.
Lifting her tail out of Chaos's way and rolling her eyes as she died back into the plate she turned apologetically to Zinnia. "I'm sorry, not everybody here has learned manners..." she said.
Pond scurried back and out of Chaos's way with his eyes stretched wide, afraid to get between her and the food.

Zinnia smiled, laughing just a little. "That's alright. I'm sort of used to it from Eyulf when he was younger. I don't think he developed table manners until he was a teen." She laughed again, happy to remember old times. Well, not old times...just the past. She carefully grabbed just one more mussel and ate it, her stomach now no longer rumbling for food.

Chaos flopped back in the sand, her stomache finally full to bursting. "I *Hic* think I *hic* eated too much *Hic*," she hiccupped.
"Unfortunately this one still hasn't learned any manners," Treasure laughed with Zinnia before turning to prod the stuffed Chaos with a foot, "Serves you right!"
Pond giggled and rolled in the sand next to Chaos, asking in his squeaky voice, "What we do now?"

"Maybe now we can go explore the mountain? We have to figure out a way to mark our path though, so we don't get lost." Zinnia loved the idea of exploring the mountain, but unless they could figure out something to mark their path with she might have to reschedule this trip until she could get some of Maiya's paint.

"Yay! Exploring!" Chaos sang, bouncing up and down and clearly forgetting about her overstuffage and the hiccups that made her bounce in the middle of bouncing.
"If you're going to the mountain I think I'll just stay right here and make sure there's dinner for you when you get back," Treasure said, laughing a little nervously and inching closer to her beloved sea, "I've already gotten lost on the 'Mountain of Lost Travelers'-as we who were lost named it-once, and I do not intend to get lost again! Trail or no trail..."
Pond gigglesqueaked and bounced with Chaos, trying to imitate her hiccups and odd double-bouncing.

Zinnia smiled at the energy, and then commented, "But like I said- we have to wait until we figure out something to mark our trail with. I don't want to get lost." Maiya's paints would be perfect, but they might not want to have to postpone.
