Motoko nodded at Daisuke, then look at Anji as she activated her Sharingan. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad to be prepared. She thought Kyo a little silly at first, but now, there was no use not being careful. "C'mon Anji. Let's go."
The young girl turned and took off running into the bushes, hoping the other boy was following.

Kyo quickly whipped out his Needler and checked it's magazine to make sure it was topped off. Once he was sure, he snapped it back into the Needler but kept the weapon in his hand as he leapt into the trees and start to hop from branch to branch eastward.

Anji nods his head, "Roger" and follows after Motoko wordlessly. As you run into the forest you get a feeling that this place has seen its share of violence and recently. Shuriken and kunai are sticking in various parts of the trees and you even see small craters from explosive notes. A few Hidden Rain forehead protects, that are torn or bloodied, are also scattered around the forest.
Inuition + + 8-sided Dice = Environment Awareness Success.
10 Successes or Less = Failure to see trap
Misao glanced over at Kyo and was about to protest before Kyo leapt off. "Why am I stuck with the fan-boy." She grumbled as she landed on a tree branch and jumped off again. Catching up to him she points at a nearby tree and says, "Stay there while I climb to the top." Landing on the trees branch she starts to jump upward towards the top....

Motoko looked around as she walked. It looked like there had been a battle here..and it seemed pretty recent. However, as far as she could tell there wasn't much in the way, and she didn't see anyone around, so she simply kept moving.
Action: Survey surroundings. (4 + 2 + 1 = 7. FAILURE! )

Kyo leapt onto a branch of the tree Misao had pointed to and leaned against the trunk while in a crouched position. He really didn't like this torrential rain. Despite wearing a cloak and extra clothes underneath he still felt as though he were soaked to the bone and getting cold.
He held his Needler under the cloak and close to his chest, as though the weapon would somehow warm him in the damp cold. As he did this he watched Misao leap from branch to branch on an upwards spiral.

Misao made it to the top of the treeline and placed her hands in the Rat seal. BYUKAGEN! Veins appeared around her eyes as she first scouted ahead from where the explosion came from. She didn't see any form of fighting over there, however, her eyes grew wide from what she saw from behind. "Anji!" She exclaimed, frantically reaching up to turn on her communication device.
Down below the rain continued to pour down an as you looked around your surroundings your foot lightly brushed against another booby-trap set on the tree branch....

Anji saw your foot lightly brush up against something that shimmered in the rain. As the trap-wire was set a large log that was covered in exploding notes came swinging down from the treetops!
Anji heared Misao's voice over his communication device and responded, "I saw." As he begins to tackle you to the ground, not having time to rescue you with his Destruction Bugs. However as he tackles you to the ground the log swings and strikes him in theback. You hear a loud explosion and are propelled out of Anji's arms from the resulting explosion. Though things are happening around you quite rapdily, fortunately to your Sharingan, you spot that it was a double-sided trap. From the explosion numerous kunai (that are heated from the explosion) are sent flying in all direcitons, including yours!

10 Successes or More to Successfully avoid all the kunai
8 Successes or More to Succesffuly to avoid any major injuries from trap (minor cuts, etc)

"Anji!" Motoko hit the dirt and rolled. She couldn't believe that she had fell for such a simple trap. And because of that, she had endangered her teammate..What if he had gotten hurt, or worse, what if he was dead now?!?
She pushed to her feet, watching the oncoming kunai. With her sharingan, is seemed almost like they were moving in slow motion. She easily twirled and spun her way past the deadly objects, not a single one touching her. Her saringan didn't help her detect that simple wire, but it made dodging things oh-so easy.
When they had all passed, she looked around for Anji. Where was e..she had to help him, especially if he had been hurt. "Anji! Where are you?!"
Defensive Action: Dodge! ( 5 + 2 - 2 + 7 = 12! Success!)

Kyo wondered for a second as to why Misao was yelling when he heard the branch he was on creak slightly. He looked down quickly and noticed that something was off about the branch. Are those...strings? s**t!
He more or less fell off of the branch into a spin, just in time to see the well-hidden trap spring to life and mist him by what seemed like a hair. He landed on the rain-soaked forest floor and spun towards Misao's direction. "THIS PLACE IS RIDDLED WITH TRAPS!!"

Misao looked down as you hop off of the tree branch. She spotted the poison-tipped kunai that were flying in all directions(including her own) and leapt from the treetop all the way down to the forest floor. Landing in front of Kyo she grabbed him by the arm and started running back towards the road, "C'mon we gotta see if the others are ok."

As the wet mud and tree bark settled from the traps explosion you look around and see debris everywhere. Kunai, with blades slowly cooling, stick in the ground and the trees all around you but your eyes turn towards the impact area. The burnt remains of Anji laid in the crater caused from the explosion.

"A-ANJI!" Motoko's voice was loud and somewhat panicked. Her body felt locked in position as she saw the young man's body. Before long her body flung itself as quick as she could to the boy's side, her knees hitting the ground and slidding slightly through the mud as she came to the body. "Anji Please.." Her mind was racing..what could she do..did she have any techniques? Any items she could use to help the boy?

As you came near the body you could see that the boy was dead and badly burnt. However, the body quickly crumbled down and became a pile of Destruction Bugs (most of which were dead from the explosion). Anji came out from behind a tree as Misao and Kyo came running in.
"Anji!" Misao exclaimed as she saw the the crater and Motoko laying next to it, before seeing the Genin, unharmed, standing by a nearby tree. The Aburame simply nodded his head towards her in acknowledgement that he was alright.
"Uchiha, Anji!" Came the dual voices of Mia and Daisuke, who was carrying the small child on his back, as they entered the area as well. Mia ran over and helped Motoko to her feet then gave her a hug, "Oh thank goodness you're ok. We heard the explosion and Anji are you ok?" She asked while looking at the bugs.
"No problem." Anji answered simply.
"We should head back to the main road and get to the refugee camp ASAP. Misao can you take point and keep a lookout for any traps on the road? Kyo take the rear with Motoko." Mia stated as she mobilized both squadrons back towards the road.

Kyo fell in line with the others, though mostly walking backwards so as to really watch the rear. His eyes darted around so quick that they almost resembled leaves being blown around in a storm, whereas his neck looked like to might snap off from all the twisting it was doing in every which direction.
After about a minute of this he started to talk quietly to Motoko. "You ok? You look pretty shook up."

Motoko fell in line with the rest of the group, walking beside Kyo. With her sharingan deactivated, her soft eyes were apparent as she tried to keep a lookout. Out of the corner of her eye she kept an eye on Kyo. He was walking backwards, and she assumed he was going to fall over any minute.
Her attention perked and changed as he spoke to her. "Y-Yeah. I'll be fine. I just..didn't want someone to die, especially for me. Especially for a mistake that I made." Her head lowered slightly as she spoke.

As the Squadron walked in formation the trip was silent and slightly miserable. The rain kept pouring down without mercy and when the wind blew in the wrong direction would make the visibility almost impossible. The well-travelled road was also beginning to fill with deep puddles and you could feel your feet sinking into the damp, cold mud at times.
To make matters worse the longer you travelled the more you'd hear the occasional explosion. Sometimes it was nearby, other times it was far away but always happened /just/ when your nerves had settled.
After what seemed like an eternity you hear Mia let out an exsaperated sigh as she says, "We finally made it, thank goodness." Just ahead you see a small colony of a dozen or so make-shift tents set up. As you draw closer you the size of the tents increases to where each could house up to 25 - 30 people easily.
