"As am I," Lexi agreed with a bright smile. She certainly thought she would have regretted missing out on such a grand celebration. Glancing around, she found herself back to the original dilemma: where to start. The photo booth sounded like a good place, and definitely not a crowded one, but she had just seen the man running rush off somewhere, so clearly she couldn't exactly start there.
Then again, she wasn't going to find anything if she continued just standing there.

Sparkling vibrant eyes reflected the lights and glimmers of the evening’s displays, expressing a fantastic array of festive cheer which also rang through the air. Chit chat ricocheted through the air, followed swiftly by puffs of hot air in the form of fog like little gray clouds that escaped each person's lungs. The atmosphere alone was magical...but the people made the event all the more spectacular.
Garland strung around red ear muffs that followed down over a pair of cold ears with pure white fluff that matched the trim of the students red Santa suit. He fit the setting superbly! But of course, this was an outfit he often found himself in and didn't just wear it to be absurdly cliché. It was special to him; it represented everything about the Christmas season he enjoyed so much, and after all, it was his favorite holiday, even above Halloween which he enjoyed almost as much. A felt poinsettia was wrapped around his wrist like a homecoming mum and mingled with it chimed a brilliant silver bell. With each step he resembled a reindeer pulling a slay or a youth running through a village proclaiming the birth of Christ.
The youth recognized faces here and there and grinned with each spotting appreciating the appearance of a few he figured as friends. But who wouldn't show up to a party like this? Even teachers made the rounds through the crowds. But a few faces here and there left the boy curious and with each new visage he found himself wondering if approaching them would be appropriate. By nature, Delaiah was reclusive, rather shy, but always friendly. Meeting new people was difficult for him inwardly, but he expressed grace and kindness with each encounter resulting in not a single failure yet. He liked everyone he had met here.
Eyes locked on the rust colored hair following down to the mismatched eyes to look upon a boy he found he did not recognize. The smile broadened on his face causing his legs to propel him forward until he was outstretching a hand and replying to the statement he had overheard the boy say aloud even though he was aware it was rhetorical. "Hello Vemillion, I'm Elijah Delaiah. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Irame held up her hands and smiled apologetically. “Please, Miacjah, do not weight my opinion more heavily than yours. I was simply taught that magic was as it was simply because it WAS magic. The want to keep the two separate is more a selfish desire than anything else. I simply would not like science telling me that I can do the things that I can do for a genetic reason, and nothing else.” She didn’t add on that she wouldn’t like science trying to tell her that divine magic was only genetic, that it had nothing to do with the Goddesses and their gifts.
“Please, do not think that because I said so it is correct.” The mention of holidays caught Irames attention however. She smiled and nodded enthusiastically.
“Oh, believe me, you do not seem brash in the least. I was much more brash and actually quite annoying when asking about Christmas and the other human holidays. Elves.. Well there are many different holidays. Like humans it depends on where you live what you celebrate, but all of us celebrate the day of Atara Anin, as well as several others. That is the largest, however. Something akin to Christmas, I suppose…” She finished sheepishly. “I am sorry for talking so much, I fear that I am the one rambling.”

"I believe that genetics has nothing to do with what people are capable of. If everything did depend on genetics, like skill or magic or anything else, then I wouldn't be like I am right now. I wouldn't be who I am."
Micajah smiled faintly but then rebounded into his grin as Irame moved on in her talks, the subject easily changing towards one about celebrations. It seemed that his skill of moving from one topic to another was slowly improving, and one day he may not have to say anything at all but simply smile. That...would be awesome.
"No, no, I'd love to hear more. Sometimes it's the similarities between our celebrations that get me, but I'd really like to learn more about your culture. I've got a friend who's really interested in the Elven world, and I'd love to have something to talk to him about."

“Oh, maybe I could meet them sometime.” Irame said, referring to the friend that Micajah spoke of. “I wouldn’t mind speaking to them either, if you don’t.
“As for the celebrations..” She shrugged. It was hard to talk about the celebrations with out talking about the religion as well. Quite frankly she thought that it might come across as rude or ill mannered to talk about her religion on Christmas. It seemed as if it was somehow insulting to their religion. Then again Micajah had asked… But she would try to simply say what she could without drawing religion in.
“Well during the time that we venerate Atara Anin we stress the ideas of peace, forgiveness, kindness and family, much like seems to be done during Christmas. It is not uncommon for the leaders of the different factions of he elves to meet during the time, for our celebration last a week and during the spring. As compared to this, however, there is much more… well there are often parties as well.”

Dagger slowly walked through the mall, feeling very uncomfortable. He kept his coat collar upturned and his wide-brimmed hat low, trying to escape notice. That would be hard though, because he was a moving blot of darkness throughout the brightly lit gaeity. He still felt some seasickness, adn the constant din of the frollicking crowd and the games wsa getting to be too much for him.
He searched almost desperately, then quickly but unobtrusively made his way out of the mall. He stayed on the steps for a moment, relishing the cold air and quiet. He looks around curiously, noticng people gathered in small groups and talking intently. He feels loath to intrude, adn loath to go back inside. He slowly drifts forward, eyes scanning the people constantly. His hands twitch inside his coat pockets, keenly feeling the lack of his ritual daggers. He knos that if he truly had to, he could call them to him, but he prefers to keep that ability to himself for now.

Vermillion was a bit surprised that someone picked him out of the crowd. "Um...bonjour Elijah," Vermillion gasped blinking his colorful eyes. He flicked a strand of his bright hair from his face. The snowflake bracelet on his wrist glimmered in what light blinked through the clouds. With a low bow, the French boy properly said hello to the boy in red.
At a close distance, such as Elijah from Vermillion, one could see the sparkling siver snowflakes painted on Vermillion's overcoat. The boy raised his upper torso back up with a cracking sound from his back. "Excusez-moi!" the boy nervously laughed.

RuiZhi coughed a little. He hadn't meant to call her his sister...he'd been trying to refer to her as a teacher, or at least, as staff. It wasn't easy. "Y-yes, she's my sister." He brightened a little at the mention of Greg. "Professor Larine is really great. I'd like to visit him at some point before this party ends." So this boy had met the two? That meant he had to be here no longer than Alex herself...so he was a new student?
"Doctor Manneth?" the boy echoed excitedly, "He's here? I haven't seen him since I first got here!" RuiZhi also had to schedule a time to see the doctor and drop off the concoction he had made from Dante. At the older boy's askance of finding the booth that the elusive doctor was in charge of, he all but leapt and pulled Scyeth with him. "Oh, could we? That'd be great! We...we can ask around, or just look, I don't mind!
O-oh, I'm RuiZhi Tai. S-sorry about that, I forgot my manners! This is Scyeth." He gingerly tugged on Scyeth's hand, turning to beam a smile at his room mate.

Norman looked around, spotting a few students mingled amongst the crowd, as well as a few of his teachers. He smiled warmly, pleased to see them all freely interacting. That was good. They needed this type of easy-going atmosphere.
To the woman, he turned and offered, "Is there anything I can help you with? To direct you to any point of interest you may have?" It was his polite way of allowing the woman to move on and into the throngs of people, to experience the party as everyone should.

"I...that would be wonderful. It would be completely better than our plans of having to hunt someone down to ask them questions, that's for sure, and I think he would be delighted to ask someone who is older and wiser than us as well. Asking a kid our age doesn't seem so bad in all respects, but you've had the chance to gain far more wisdom and experience over your years."
He wondered a bit if she thought that he was implying she was old for saying it like that, and he groaned inwardly for the possibly careless act of offense. There was no use in dwelling on it now, and he simply cleared his throat to respond to her explanation about the celebration of Atara Anin.
As he listened, Micajah couldn't help but feel that perhaps Irame was leaving a large part out of it, like she was shorting aside on a certain issue. Not wanting to push the woman for a more precise answer, as they were hardly acquaintances in themselves, he accepted whatever she told him.
"I see, I see. Do you often dress up for parties like the humans do in regular clothes or sometimes costumes, or do you wear traditional outfits at certain times only? And if so, do they all having a meaning behind it? I think it would be wonderful to have something you wear that proclaims a message in every stitch, every ounce of color and adornment."
He was babbling again, but this time it was at least on a clear subject that wouldn't hamper his feelings.

“I think that there should never be a need to hunt down someone in a school.” Irame laughed. “It should always be easy to find someone to ask your questions to. As for older and wiser I am not so sure that I can claim such things. Among the Elves I am not very old, nor am I wise enough to often be asked for council.” She didn’t bother to add that the only areas in which she really was specialized, and really knew about, was an area that most people didn’t want to know about. Most elves didn’t want to know about how to bring things back to life or why her blood was acidic to the touch at times. Those things she could explain, but those things people didn’t want to hear. “I will, of course, offer you as much help as I can but I doubt that that will be much. If there is any time that you would like to see me, then please come and see me. Even now, if you know where your friend is, would be an appropriate time.” She finished with a smile.
Or finished that bit at least.
“We have clothes that are specialer, but not clothes that are simply for that occasion.” Was the part that started the next section of her speaking. “The clothes that you wear on that day are often the ones that you wear for all celebrations. Unless you are a priest or priestess, then you would have a special outfit for such a day. As silly as it might sound for a human, Elves more often show such things with their hair and the other adornments that they have on.
“Earring, necklaces, and circlets are the most common, as well as smaller ornaments that can go in the hair. And one of the main reasons that most elves keep their hair long is so that they can do their hair up in ways to show their station or achievements.” Irame put her hands to her mouth. “But I am sorry, I was probably talking more than you whished to hear.

Wei sighed. Okay. By now he had enough for socializing. He had been there far past his comfort zone and really he could swear if he had to do anymore of just standing there watching he would begin to visibly - twitch. Dammit.
He pushed himself off the tree trunk and pushed through the crowd. Damn there were too many people here for an island festival. Finally escaping the throng Wei patted himself down, straitened his clothes, calmed his hair and re-did his hairpiece. He turned, looking at the crowd. Too happy for his taste right now.

Zach wasn't even really looking where he was going as he ran toward the party area, cursing under his breath. He'd decided to lay down for a while after he went back to his room... and ended up totally oversleeping. Which meant now he was late for the party!
Shitshitshit...
Turning a corner, he started weaving around trees, making a beeline for the crowd... and didn't even see the other boy until he ran smack into Wei with a startled yelping kind of noise - bouncing off and falling down right on his rear. Ouch...

He grunted but didn't lose his balance. Instead he snorted, rolled his eyes and once more fixed his clothes. Finally, the male looked down upon his assailant. A party go-er. A late one. How fun. Without a word Wei hauled the other to his feet, holding him steady until he was capable of regaining his sense. "You haven't missed too much, there's still plenty of time."

Zach flushed and ducked his head at that, then glanced up - blinking at the other. "Sorry, didn't meant to run into you like that!" He paused for just a second or two, then tilted head.
"Are you leaving..?" he asked, seeming to have gotten over the whole running into him and falling on his a** bit rather quickly.
