"Spose it couldn't hurt, but I'm doubting it, Marshall prolly woulda known if they did." Jarred tapped a few buttons on the PDA. "Keep the hack and the visual feeds going, but dedicate everything else to searching for a tracking system." Jarred said, the screen dimming.

Pendari shrugged, "Security on large ships like this is usually kept quite hush hush. Besides that, the marshal was stationed here on a whim. She might not have been updated on everything." Pendari glanced at her hands and straightened the fingers of one of her dark gloves.

"I said I was surveying the ship, looking through different areas to see what is here and what isn't. More or less, I'm trying to appropriately estimate the situation. So far it isn't looking good."

"So what do you have so far?" Garret asked, turning towards her. "From what I've seen, things are looking pretty good." Garret added as his eyes changed from red to blue. "By any chance are you a little cold?" He asked her, trying to conceal a grin.

(Is he checking her out with his x-ray vision? O-o....so reminds me of Verve. What all is he looking for? so I can fill him in. Or is he just looking for nakedness?)
"What do I have so far?" Pendari asked, tilting her eyebrow upward. "And why are you asking if I'm cold?" She gave a slight shrug. "I do find the temperature of the ship has always been a few degrees too low for my liking, but I'm not suffering frostbite by any means."

Jarred raised an eyebrow, pulling his PDA out. He started pressing buttons quickly on it, facing Garret.
"Bad show, man." Jarred said. "Pen, cover yourself. He's giving you cancer, so to speak."

Garret's head snapped to Jarred's direction, and then he slammed his eyes shut, and when he opened them, they were red again. "Well, at least now I know whenever you do something drastic you are just compensating" He winked at Pendari. "Nice figure."

Pendari gave him a cold look and spoke in a dry voice. "My breasts have always been unnaturaly perky. Some people have called it a special power. But despite their ability to attract the gaze of powerless males, it's not polite to stare." On Pendari's person was a number of hidden articles, including a set of cards in her back pocket, an unusual amount of circuitry hidden inside of her left glove, and two implants placed in the top of her spine.

((I hereby hypothesize that Pendari is a descendent of Erica, simply because of the figure and the fact that the marshal is Ruby's descendent. biggrin And I, too, am disappointed in the lack of beatdown. crying ))
