I'd love to talk to about Japan, but I overdosed a couple years ago and am now sick of it. So... let's go back to the subject of fanboys...
I think all fanboys are great... Their dedication shows heart and deepness.

HistoryWak Part-Time Viking HistoryWak Part-Time Viking Zombicide No, actually, it's a term to describe the ever-diminishing American pop-culture. Notice how about 10 years ago, no one was THIS obsessed with anime and all things Japanese? (other than certain games, that were imported from Japan, dubbed, then mass-produced and sold in America as well) Now, every bit of pop-culture you see is from Japan. Am I the only one who notices this? And it's taking over not only our movies, books, and TV shows, but gaming as well. Thus, a new kind of overly-biased fanboy/fangirl is developing that will be the most annoying ever. America is going through just another pop-culture phase, similar to its rebellion phase in the 70's and its rock/metal obsession in the 80's. Uh... Since when has J-trash had a definition? I've always used it as just general crap that Japan spews out that the Naruto headband-wearing fruitbuckets of America fap too... It disgusts me though, I'm amazed that I stomached buying a PS3 since I've seem to have developed "racist" disdain towards anything that comes from Japan... Althought, Sony and Nintendo despite having roots in Japan seem to have taken hold of good ol' American capitalism and ran with it to a point of being just as American as they are Japanese. But I have a general hate for most things Japanese... Save for the food and certain electronics. Go ahead, call me racist. I never knew you had strong opinions about this sort of thing. I guess we learn something new everyday huh? Don't worry I won't call you racist. There would be no point in it really. 3nodding Meh, Racism isn't bad till it inhibits how you act towards another or if you inhibit another because of it. I'm not about to run around and shoot the Japanese, I just hate their s**t. I understand. 3nodding But isn't Sony headquartered in Japan? wink or is than an exception.. lol It is run by a man from Wales though, besides, as I said, Though rooted in Japan, Sony and Nintendo have become just as American as they are japanese.

Aww... Sony Europe, living proof that if you put 100 chimps in a room with 100 typewriters that they can write the complete works of Shakespeare over the course of 100 years.

Arvis_Jaggamar Zombicide They like our style, and have adopted some of our clothing into their styles. But, if I was a regular Japanese citizen, I'd be pretty pissed off at America, for stereotyping Japan. It's a beautiful country with more to see than a ******** comic book shop and naked, fruity-looking, anime-drawn she-males! Not to mention that Tokyo is the safest major city in the world. But I think the people you're describing are in a very small minority. I may like some anime and I love alot of Japanese RPGs, but when I think "Japan" I often think about cherry blossoms, traditional honor, graceful women, beautiful landscapes, and ninjas (kidding). There's alot to the country, and I think most of us United-States-ians understand that. No need to combat one perceived stereotype with another, friend. It is the safest (and largest) major city, but I know many people who literally WORSHIP Tokyo. I'm not making this up when I say this, but there's this one OBSESSED RADICAL at my school who even said Japan and its people were "a master race". Wow. How's that for insanity? These people are actually more common than you may think. Well, in my neighborhood at least.....and when I think Japan, I think Osaka castle, the Imperial Chrysanthimum, geishas, kimonos, and all those other oriental icons.....not Naruto, comic books, the bug-eyed characters who dominate those comic books, and "J-let's-dance-to-this-because-it's-from-Japan" music.

Everything about Japans current trends bother me, and I hate seeing some fat-assed kid praising it up and down as being cool.

Japan's pop culture bothers me to no end, the bad music, the bad television, the bad style... Everything about Japans current trends bother me, and I hate seeing some fat-assed kid praising it up and down as being cool. Yet, in a twist of irony, the live scene (music clubs) have some pretty wicked bands pass through it. Though that really isn't pop culture.
The problem with Japan's pop culture is that the mainstream "mainstream" adopts, then modifies US and Brit pop culture. Throwing Punk and Techno dress style together all at once... is ******** disgusting.
Although I will disagree with the Naruto hate. When you get right down to it the series is steeped in Japanese folk lore.
Why can't we all just agree that pop culture is just bad in general? Say what you want about Japan but turn around and you get The ******** Hills, Paris Hilton, I love New York, Emo-bands, Chris Angel, etc. Everyone sucks.
I'm not praising Japan, just saying everywhere else is just as bad. Everywhere is stereotyped fairly bad.
Oh right, Harry ******** Potter. That stuff should burn in a fire made up of thousands of little fires amounting to an Alaska sized fire. Worst read ever!
Edit:: I'll also never forgive the world for passing up on stuff like A Tribe Called Quest and hip hop jazz fusion in favor of Gangsta Rap and Bubblegum Teeny Pop.
Double Edit:: Also, Star Wars only deserves credit for bringing 'fun/adventure' into movies. So much of it is based off the works of Akira Kurosawa that it isn't even funny. Primarily The Hidden Fortress. Star Wars is essentially a Japan Samurai movie love-fest. I mean for gods sake they treat light sabers like katana, wear obi, and preach Buddhism.

A Tribe Called Quest was set up to fail as musicians from the begining.
In a world where Music is organized alphabetically, you can't risk confusing people. If you don't make it clear whether to look in A or Q, how do you expect to be found? You can't, that's how.

Personally I fall under the "Other" Category only for ToS, but otherwise I'd sit with FFVII, as old as the battles got, the challenges and story didn't
Vincent being Seph's father? Now that's interesting.
Being open for 76 sequels. hmmm better get my cheque book.
Most of all, I'm all for original story
And that carried across the whole series
But ToS was as long as a b***h, and that was a good choice, I also liked the freedom of speech moments. I also liked the batle system =)
BTW: Go ******** yourself graphic fanboys, 16-bit forever

Are you sure Vincent was his father?
I always thought she left Vince for that Hugo...something character, and that's who she got knocked up by.
Doesn't the story change if you don't add Vincent to your party?

That's how they do it with bands that have The in their name. Like Who, The. Then it goes under W in the The section.
