Melinda noticed the girl come up to her. Seeing a normal person not with an instrument snapped her back to reality a bit. That's right! They were supposed to be playing! Worriedly she looked at her watch, and relaxed; it was just about time for the end of break.
She nodded towards the girl, and motioned to the other three. In a few moments they got back up and were ready to play. Then the four-some began to run through Christmas music again, not to fast, but with the right tempo and dynamics.

Hope listened to the music and felt the familiar rush of emotion. Christmas carols were her favorite. Her throat just itched to start singing but 1) That would be rude, and 2) there were a bunch of people around.
So she just restrained herself to humming quietly to one of her favorites, "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen."
Finally, throwing a few coins to the players, she figured she must be going, and turned to do so.
But for some reason, Hope couldn't make herself go. There was something more than the music that made her want to stay.
Confused, Hope obeyed her instincts and scrutinized the group carefully. Then, a flash through her mind, and she knew...here was one of the people she'd been looking for all these years!
An uncontrollable grin broke out on her face as she wondered what she should do now that she'd accomplished this crucial step. Going up to someone and saying, "Hello, I had a dream one night that I should help you save the world from a growing evil menace" would probably get her nowhere but the nearest mental institution.
But there had to be something...she thought, gnawing her lip and glancing at the violin player that she knew was one of her charges.

Korsu sat at at the table, leaning back in his chair, his green eye's calmly taking in the people around him and surveying the area's around them. Then looking at Hope he asked "Would you like some pizza? There is some left."

Melinda continued to play with the other three. While she does get lost in her music, she still couldn't help but notice that the newest stranger suddenly grin, rather uncontrolled looking and without reason. Now that she thought about it deeply, the girl was looking right at Melinda herself! But why? Was there any possible reason that....
....wait a minute....
Did this girl know something deeper than most could identify with, something more mysterious and strange to the normal human being? While Melinda's expression didn't change, her mind swam through a sea of unanswerable questions.

After a couple minutes of conversations and off-topic conversations, Kioko came back out wearing a white jacket and a hat...She was also carrying a folded black apron and some things..
"guess wut? you can work here! but starting off as a waitress if that is okay with you?" Kioko said grinning...

Kioko handed Rayne the new balck apron with pockets and a pen, pad and some menus.
"okay, so besically, the host is the one that takes the guests to the table and you are assigned a table. Then you go to the table, take their order and all...oh! you have to remember to always ask for drinks and say 'anything else?' until they say no..but besure to wait a while before you come to take their orders...got that?" Kioko said explaining everything to Rayne...
She led Rayne to the main room where the place was bustling with people and the aroma of the food wade your mouth want to water...
"umm, bring them their drinks and all before their food so they have something to drink, you kno basic waitress stuff.." Kioko said smiling..pointing to Rayne's first table to serve...it had about 6 people and they were still taking orders..
"since your new, you get to serve one table at a time, so you wont be bombarded with 4 tables on your first day...okay?"

Hope looked at Korsu, startled out of her thoughts. "Um, sure, I'd love some! ARe you sure you don't mind?" she asked, her hopes rising. Pizza for free!
She bit her lip some while she waited for the reply. She decided she'd wait until the players' next break, and then just approach the girl and wing it.

"Oh," Hope smiled. "Well, then, thank you very much." She grabbed a large piece and moved it towards her mouth...
Then she stopped. Something stirred in her conciousness. But it was a lot fainter than before.
Hope looked at Korsu, startled.
Could it really be, two in one place? Was this the town where she would finally find the purpose of her strange powers? What in the world were they going to do after--if--she got everyone together?
Then, coming back to herself, Hope hastily started to eat the pizza, embarrassed to be caught staring.

Korsu had a small smile on his face as he took a piece of pizza and then took a bite out of it. Then after he swallowed he said "So how is it?" as he continued to eat it, looking over his piece of pizza at her.

"mm, dewisshis," Hope said, then put her hand over her mouth and swallowed. "Oops, sorry. It's delicious. Oh, gosh, I love pizza." Her eyes were closed in rhapsody. But she couldn't keep a straight face and laughed a little instead. "Thank you so much."
Hope was still wondering what she was going to say, now that there were two of them here. Should she talk to them both at the same time or what? Grr, she had never been any good at thinking on her feet.
"Whatever," she said to herself. "As soon as I pluck up the nerve I'll just get out with it and trust that everything'll work out, because I really don't know what I'll do if they decide I'm insane."
She grabbed one more piece of pizza timidly. "If you don't mind?"

Korsu laughed and said "Help yourself!" as he leaned back in his chair and closed his eye's, just listening to the surrounding noises. After this I think I'm gonna walk around for a little before returning to the forest.. he thought to himself.
