Dean frowns as he's patted on the head, though this quickly turns to a smirk once again as she asks him to consider picking another girl. "I guess I lied," he admits with a soft laugh. "Any cute girl won't do. There's gotta be a lot more behind a person's looks to actually catch my interest." Dean moves his hand to the top of Adalia's head, stretching his fingers out so that his hand covers the top of her skull. With his fingertips, he rubs along her scalp gently as he says, "I'd tell you the real reason if I didn't think your head would swell up."
Taking that moment to switch topics, Dean explains with a smirk, "Cooties is a term originally used by oversea soldiers for sexually transmitted diseases. So, really, boy cooties are real. I assure you, however, that I am one hundred percent free of cooties." He pauses after the explanation, reflecting a moment before admitting, "You're right. I am really weird."
With a bit more serious, Dean says quietly, "You're a kind and compassionate person. It's easy for me to tell. The fact that you're cute is just icing on the cake, as they say." Dean laughs softly, realizing he'd used a baking cliche without meaning to.
