"Oh goody." Sarah said in an almost whisper to herself, "Oh. Sorry, this way." Sarah chuckled in embarrassment and then turned around fully to start walking home. 'Lame. Lame. Lame.' The voice in her head chanted. 'Oh shut it would you, I haven't talked to anyone in over 80 years. You should be happy I got this far without total humiliation.' Sarah thought back, rubbing her hands together. It was getting kind of cold.

Autumn followed Shine through the forest. Eventually she came upon the scene Shine was talking about, a dark-haired and a light-haired elf, both with dragons. Currently the small black dragon was doing his best to look intimidating to the light-haired elf's dragon, but only ended up looking adorable.
"Um, hi," Autumn said, "Am I interrupting something?"

Robin turned, "yes? Can I help you?" She asked the Autumn, who is she? Robin asked herself, Night dropped his fierce appearance and looked questioningly at Autumn, then at Shine, what is your name? Night asked Shine, glad to see yet another dragon around.
Robin sheathed her sword, no need for it, she could defend herself if necessary but it didn't look like she would need to. "May I ask your name?" She asked the other elf, not unkindly, but still slightly wary of her and her dragon.
((its all right, I couldn't post either because I was on vacation))

Aria walked up to the three of them. " Excuse me, I'm a bit lost here, could I have directions to Frostbite Mountains? "

(ill nickname Aria, Ari, i didn't see there was another Aria sorry ^^) Ari stood in the clearing, looking up at the trees around her, Damn, i am sure i have been here before, which means i'm lost... again... she thought to herself, looking around she saw a large patch of moss, i may as well sleep there tonight... she wandered over and lay down on the soft moss, her little fox cub curled up beside her, keeping her warm...

Sitting in the lush moss, half-covered by ferns and shadow-dwelling creatures, Astraea opened her ethereal green eyes, observing her surroundings dully. How many days had she been sitting there? Was it three or four? She had lost count. It didn't really matter anyways. Only a burden.
Wiping a water droplet from her forehead, she looked up. Was it raining, or was it just the morning dew? It was hard to tell. The trees blocked out most light, so it was nearly impossible to differentiate times of day.
Astraea stood up, and all the living creatures that had asimilated to her prescence sprang away in fright. Her silken white hair clung to her, damp from all the moisture. She looked more human when wet. Her ghostly quality went right out the door and she appeared more like a serene, soggy mortal.
"How far have I walked?" she asked aloud, no one in particular. "How far will I walk? They say it's at the center of the earth... I wonder how many lengths that is." Picking up her pack, she headed on her way.

Boredom. That was the only thing he was feeling right now. Pure, unadulterated boredom. Even after running throughout the forest he was in, and meeting all the different peoples and animals, it still wasn't enough to overcome his boredom. Or his frustration, for that matter.
Emerald Fire. His conquest, quest, destination. Whatever you wanted to call it. His source for living, really, and the only thing that even made him wake up in the mornings anymore. Contentment, and forgiveness. These were what he sought, what he desired. Contentment with life, to know he was finished with his quest. And forgiveness from a dear friend, whom he had lost.
Stopping near the edge of the forest, in the top of a shrouded tree, he leaned against the trunk, his green eyes staring out across the plains, watching Slash, his only remaining friend, dance and dive through the sky. Wiping back the black hair that got in his face, Cyrith just sat and thought of his life, what it meant to be him. Boredom. That's all it really was. Pure, unadulterated boredom.

Robin turned her eyes on the new girl, "the Frostbite Mountains should be directly north of here," she said, looking at the sky and trying to tell the time from the position of the sun, however, the sun was almost completely obscured by clouds, "if you head north, you'll reach there at about late afternoon or twilight." She added, before looking down at Night, who was amusing himself by chasing his tail round and round. Night noticed Robin was watching and stopped, tripping over his feet. "Still," she told the girl, also unfamiliar to her, "if you head directly north, you'll have to cross a deep gorge, you can cross a fallen tree but if you fall, you'll either be killed or be taken away to unknown places. If you head northwest, you would avoid the gorge, but you would arrive at the Frostbitten Mountains later and you would have to cross a small, barren stretch of land. If you don't cross by nightfall, you risk being found by bandits and who knows what else." She wasn't trying to frighten anyone, but to point out the risks.

Life had been boring for Anawinee, to say the least. She had been traveling around from the forest to mountain and back again. She had very little troubles and decided to sell her healing powers in exchange for food. She was a good traveler, well she thought so anyway. But now lost in the middle of no where she felt for the first time in a long time, out of place. Now stumbling through trees and fallen brush of sorts she came upon a clearing. Unsure if there were people around, or if they were even of friendly sorts, she walked over to a tree and sat down. Pulling out of her small pouch she looked inside and sighed.
There wasn't much left for food....she'd have to hunt today.

" Thanks a lot! By the way, what's your name?" Aria asked. She whistled and Moon landed beside her.

Adelaide breathed heavily as she trekked through the forest. While she was strong, she wasn't used to such long travels, and was wiped out pretty quickly. But she kept her head up. After all, who else but she could help her brother?
She needed to find some elves. They were much older and would probably know more about the Emerald Fire.

Coming into a clearing in the woods, Astraea heard the distinct sound of a red-tailed hawk screeching in delight of sighting prey. Odd enough, since the over-population of crested eagles had driven the hawks elsewhere in search of good hunting. And what's more, it was obviously not dusk or dawn (the only two times of day that could be read on the forest floor, as they marked the times of semi and absolute darkness) the two prime hunting hours of any predator. What would a red-tailed hawk be doing all the way out here at this hour? she mused, watching the bird strike back and forth, as if attacking an unseen enemy in the air.
It didn't really matter why the hawk was out there. What did matter was that Astraea, like all predators, needed to hunt to sustain herself. And since she was hungry, she needed to hunt. Under normal circumstances, this was no issue. But with a hawk swooping about, screeching loudly, she doubted that any animals were going to come out for a while. Thus, she turned to her alternative. Silently, she pulled out her hunting bow and three arrows, setting two between her teeth. The other arrow she strung the bow with, and aimed it with an expert eye at the bird. This isn't going to work, a small, impatient voice in her head complained. Wasting your time.
"No I'm not," she muttered back with the arrows still between her teeth, letting the fletchling fly.
((I'm sorry... I was too tempted to do something to that bird sweatdrop It was just flying around so innocently... Time for a ruckus! : D ))

Ari woke, she had no idea how long she had been lying there, but she felt fully refreshed, she started walking through the woods again and it quickly got brighter and she was nearing the edge, she stopped suddenyl and hid behind the nearest tree, she could see someone on the edge of the forest, but he didn't seem dangerous, slowly she crept forwards and called to him, "who are you?"

Cyrith had turned his attention to another direction when he heard a sound that he had dreaded ever since the first time he had heard it: a screech of pain. He turned and looked at Slash, only to see the bird falling to the ground, an arrow stuck in his wing. This made Cyrith's blood boil, and he dropped out of the tree with a thud.
Running out of the forest, he dashed over to where Slash was, and cradled his friend. He sighed, as he saw the wound wasn't deadly, but it would definitely debilitate his friend for a while. Being careful, he extracted the arrow, and bandaged the wound. Then he stood up, his eyes burning in rage.
Glancing all over the area, he spotted a girl with a bow held in hand, two arrows in her teeth. Oh, hell no, He thought. There was no way he was allowing another friend to be taken away from him. He pulled out his blades, and dashed towards the girl in question. There was no doubt as to what he planned on doing to her.

Anika whirled as she heard the screech of a bird as it died. It was as if the whole forest moved at once and she was caught up in the middle of it. She wasn't sure what kind of bird it was that had made the sound, but walking towards it, if the death was by another animal, she might have found food faster than she thought. Which would be a good thing.
Stepping over fallen branches and walking around brush she made her way into a clearing and saw a girl with a bow and arrow. Blinking she saw the bird on the ground and tilted her head. "I hope your going to eat it now, it'd be a pity if you murdered such a thing for your own accord."
