Aiden felt the need to know her name now. "What is your name since you insist on following me. And it is still considered sneaking since you didn't tell me you were there. Even though your footsteps are pretty easy to hear." he sounded smug but didn't mean to. Hopefully she wouldn't lose her temper again or she certainly could not come along. In the meantime Kyo seemed to be getting impatient.

"If you couldn't hear them I would've wondered how you became a hunter." Elona simply replied. Was he really underestimating her like that? If she really wanted to follow stealthily she would've done a much better job and stuck to the shadows instead of just following out in the open. "Just call me Elona. You and that wolf would prefer to be called..?" She looked, with a slight hint of curiosity, at the wolf. She didn't bother stating her last name as she saw no real reason to.

Aiden was curious as to what made her so outspoken and opinionated. He really didn't care this Elona person thought of him, but she could be an asset if he needed the help. Though, he doubted that seriously. She probably would be more of a distraction for him.I suppose the honorable thing to do would be to help a female in danger, but this one is throwing herself into it. Hope she can handle herself.
Aiden ignored her smart remark and answered in a polite tone, "I am Aiden, and my beautiful assistant is Kyo." His face became hard and his focused, "Listen. You can come with me if you want, but if you get injured somehow don't fault me for not coming to your aid. Because its not my job to baby-sit you and I don't exactly what I'm getting myself into." he said sternly and manly.

I was right, he's underestimating me. Elona thought. Her expression became equally focused and serious as she replied. "I didn't become a vampire hunter for fun and games. If I couldn't handle myself, I wouldn't be standing before you. I'd have been long dead." Really, she hated the stereotypes that went around the world. In her opinion, chivalry was dead. "And don't worry, I'd never expect someone to aid me in any way." It's pull your own weight, or don't pull it at all. She thought.

Quote: Solomon raised an eyebrow, a smile forming on his face with the mortal's retort and he reached into his pocket, producing a small package of wrapped cheese, which he extended to the child with an encouraging murmur, turning back to her only after Abigail had accepted his gift. "You can't equate your actions with mine, seeing as I have no obligation to be her keeper. Nevertheless I did not abandon her, as you have so accused me- you can see how hungry the poor thing is and we er, differ when it comes to sustenance." He folded his arms and inclined his head to the side, peering at her from between half closed eyelids as he waited for her response.[/qoute] "One acussation for another is how I see it." Tenma said, once more in her defense. She felt young Abigail grab hold of her pants leg as she nibbled away on the cheese. Her spindly fingers stroked the childs hair as a comfort. "Not to mention, it is not my fault the child is hungry. We orphans are always with lack of food." This response came with a slight sigh, letting her eyes drift to Abigail. Abigail had finished the food and her eyes began to droop. Tenma lifted the child into her arms, who then preceeded to bury her head in Tenmas shoudler as sleep took over.

"Lack of food? Why then would anyone under take such an establishment if they cannot provide for the occupants?" Solomon frowned at the mortal as though she was the culprit in question. "Very well then, you will lead me to this orphanage of yours. I would like to have a word with whoever is in authority." He folded his hands in his pockets and raised an eyebrow, expecting her to lead the way.

"What would be the point?" Tenma asked cautiously. "Mistress does what she can and not only do I care fo the orphans but I have a second job so we can feed them." A particular emphasis on the 'can' on her statement. Abigail let out a slight mummble as she slumbered on Tenma's shoulder. Tenma let out a sigh, knowing that it might do the children good if someone were to take interest in the orphanage. With a slight nod she spun on her heels and walked towards the street, knowing the man would follow as she waited for his response.

Solomon followed the mortal a few paces and then stopped, realizing just how far spent the night already was and how little time he had to spend abroad the streets. He would have to hasten the process a bit and making that decision, he held her back. "I have a faster means of travel than walking and I'm afraid circumstances have impressed upon me the need to employ this means. However, I'd like to resolve this situation as soon as possible and seeing as you alone know the location of this orphanage you'll have to bear with me." He paused and held up a hand in anticipation of her reluctance, "Don't worry, your safety is as assured as that of the child you carry."

Tenma couldn't help but bite her lip a little, but hard enough to bleed just a little. She looked down at the sleeping Abigail and simply nodded, no idea what he was implying.

Solomon nodded once iin understanding and took a slow step closer. He appreciated the amount of courage it must have taken the mortal to comply with his wishes and made a mental note to remember her face and not mistakenly eat her in the future. He gently took her hands and gave them a reassuring squeeze even as they all began dissolving into mist and shadow. Don't worry, it's perfectly safe. His words came out as a faint whisper as the wind picked up and they rose into the air, flying through the darkness fasteer than the eye could see. Tell me where ((no problem))

Tenma's breath caught in her chest as she saw they were, unbelievably, flying. As she stared at the ground and clung to Abigail she heard Solomon. "Um...it is North about a block away from the old library." she said in her breathless state.

Soon they reached their destination and Solomon gathered himself, triggering their slow descent back to the streets. The formless mass of shadows soon began coalescing into definable shapes and within seconds, all three of them were present and accounted for, standing in front of the orphanage gates. He turned slightly around and cast an inquiring glance at his guide,"Will you go in or shall I make myself known?"

Tenma's legs were weak when they landed but she managed to stay upright. Abigail shifted a bit but seemed oblivious to what had happened. "You can come in with me. Though technically you are a stranger. I don't even know your name." she said happy that she was back on the ground.

"Ah I do beg your pardon, Solomon at your service," He gave a mock bow and stepped away from the gate, allowing her to move forward and open it. Solomon glanced at the sleeping child and smiled faintly.

Tenma nodded her head as she walked towards th gate. She kicked it, knocking it open and proceeded inside. The orphanage was in awful condition. As she opened the door a loud creak resounded throughout the house. She stepped in and stepped aside to allow Solomon entrance. She looked down, ashamed by the place, her lip still clenched in her bite and still bleeding.
