Look how pretty she is when she falls down...
I found the rune set I want. But I have to order it. >.O And right now, mum doesn't have the money too get it for me because my dad broke his leg so she has to pay for the things he used to until he's better. And I would buy it myself but I'm saving for a car. I hope I get it before the rune lessons start.
EDIT: The Moon. You may be heading down the wrong path and need to take a look around other then just looking forward. Take some time to think before you react or you may get a nasty surprise.
How it relates to me: Well, I know I've done wrong before and I know I need to think before I react but I think that lesson has already been learned on my part. =]
Sorry, I know I can't double post, please achnollage that I have done the COD.
I just wanted to point out that it came easier then usual to me. =]

I have a question? I'm not in the class or anything, cos I don't have any cards or runes, but I'd like to know...
I've heard that it's wrong to deal your tarot cards with your right hand, as it is offensive to the goddess. Therefore, your spread should always be dealt with your left hand...
Is this correct?

Is this correct? I've honestly never heard of that before... XD I've always dealt with my left hand just because that's my dominant hand, anyway. I don't think it would be offensive. Deal with whatever hand feels most comfortable. The Goddess will understand. ^-^

You can join. The only make-up work is the homework from previous lessons...
Speaking of which. There's -finally- a new lesson!! XD
Lesson Four--Reversed Cards
So some of you, by now, might be asking "what happens if I draw a card and it's upside-down"? I know there are some of you who know what to do with a reversed card. But that poses the question--What IS a reversed card? Reversed cards are cards drawn upside-down that represent basically the opposite of the given card, and most of the time, it contains a darker representation.
Sooo... What to do now? I think, what I'm going to do is, I'll have you pick your favorite card, say what it represents, and say it's reversed meanings. From now on, the spreads I use as lessons will also use reversed cards. Blessed readings, and good luck! <3

Ooo new lesson! Yay!
One question I have about reversed cards is that I was shown that you shuffle cards without bending them, kinda a side shuffle. The way I was shown, I've never gotten an upside down card since. Are they the exception to the rule (ie extremely rare) or is there a certain way you would reccommend to shuffle so that upside downs are possible? After a reading do you go through and put them in order so they all go the same direction?
I'll come back and do the lesson this weekend. smile

The Moon The moon signifies emotions, so this card can indicate high emotions and potentially warns of letting too many emotions affect yourself at once.
How it relates to my life I have a tendancy to mull on my emotions, so the moon warns me to let them roll off a bit more.
I hope I did that right biggrin I will get to the Celtic Cross and this new homework soon!

card of the day: the moon
We look to the moon for protection and guidance. She has been her longer than we have and knows more than we ever could. She helps us with our emotions of love and hate, and helps us to understand them. With this card you will learn to understand what you are feeling and how to cope with it.
I am in a time of coping for i have just lost a relationship and been asked to join a new one. Love and hate rule my life and this shows me that i may yet have hope in understanding why i feel the way i do, and what to do from there. The wise mother knows all...

XD Typically if you're using the "side shuffle", upside-down cards are almost impossible to get unless you keep the cards upside-down from previous spreads. As for the second question, I personally do just because I'm a bit compulsive like that. I don't know if one is typically supposed to, though. EDITS: Mmm... You know what I forgot to add? Apparently (although this has never happened to me personally) if more than half of the cards come up reversed, some readers may turn them right side up to get a more insightful reading.

Yeah, I have read in several places where "experts" say that a majority reversed reading is essentially wrong and should be shuffled and done again. I personally feel like you can get a feeling about whether or not a reading is right. *shrugs*
Anyway, onto the homework!
I am choosing to do the strength card because I feel a personal connection with it.
Right Side Up On the strength card there is always a lion, representing brute force and power, and a maiden sometimes with a lamb or some other gentle creature to represent kindness and gentleness. I believe this card indicates the different types of strength, and that power tempered with a gentle touch as the maiden shows the lamb is true strength.
Reversed Strength reversed to me would seem to indicate caution in using strength, and more specifically power. Strength an be a good thing when applied correctly, but when used incorrectly can bring pain and grief.
I know I still need to do the Celtic reading since I joined late, I am hoping I will have a chance tonight sweatdrop

I've never heard the re-shuffled thing. I was just told that the reversed cards should be regarded as right-side up. Oh well... XD
Great descriptions! I'm thinking of doing this one myself... I also got my idea for the next two (and maybe last two?) lesson on tarot. But first, I have to get through this one.
Edit: Yay, I get to do my own lesson now! XD I chose the card "X Medicine Wheel"
Meaning: The card depicts stones making two circles around a Slippery Elm tree (I use an herbal deck, it has a picture of an herb on each card). The outer circle contains twelve stones, which I see to represent twelve months of the year. The inner contains four, which represents to me the four seasons, four elements, or stages of life. The card as a whole represents cycles, or influences from all aspects of life.
Reversed: Going in circles, aimlessness, or lack of focus.

I'm here! I know I keep promising to do the Celtic Cross since I joined the class late, but I really just can't think of anything to do it on. I did all the other homework though! i was thinking though, why not have like a lesson a week? The regular updates might remind people to keep up with the homework, and that way those that are ready to continue on can do so biggrin But that's just my opinion xd
