Konnichiwa! My name is Alyson (SN is Dayanaria) you can call me what you want (just no bad names, xp ) haha... I'm 22 years old, I'm majoring in Computer Graphics and minoring in English (I just switched my minor from Art this semester, heh sweatdrop ) My Japanese is kinda limited since I've only ever been able to learn online and what I pick up from watching anime fansubs, haha... And yes, I'm a rabid anime fan, haha...
While I wouldn't mind taking vacations to Japan, I'm not sure if I'd want to live there, simply because of the fact that all of my family is here in the states whee I live in (very rainy right now) California, I like to laugh alot (consequently I use 'lol', 'haha', and 'heh' too often, but I really am laughing in RL, heh) and I tend to ramble waaayyyy too much, lol...
Egh, that's all I can think of right now, but domo arigato for letting me into the guild! heart blaugh

Konnichiwa minna-san! My name is Kahlan and I am 18. I have a huge interest in Japan , besides the awsome anime that comes out of there I enjoy reading about the history and cultures of Japan . I don't really speak much Japanese right now , but i'm trying to learn by teaching myself so that might explain why . Hopefully someday I will get to travel to Japan so I can see the wonderful place that is Japan and the Sakura that bloom there , maybe celebrate one of the festivals. Anyway it's nice to meet others with a interest in japan and I hope we can all get along well together .

Konnichiwa to akemashite omedetou gozaimasu! (Can I say like that?) I'm a 19 year old student. I've been interested in japanese language for a couple of years now already and been learning it myself but not with great success. But last autumn I started going to japanese lessons. Now I've been learning a little better. I can already read and write hiragana and I almost remember all katakana. I can read some kanji, but very few.
The things that first gave me interested in Japan, it's culture and language were manga and anime. Now I'm generally interested about everything possible in Japan.
I hope I can someday go visit the country.

Konbanwa minnasan! Hajimemashite... My name is Amanda and I'm 15. Since I was a child, I've always loved the "weird looking cartoons because they are so cool!" and I eventually found out that they were called anime, and they were from Japan. I'd always been curious about Asia and interested in Asian culture, and my love for anime and manga encouraged that interest. Actually, at first I thought I wanted to learn Japanese language so I can watch raw anime and read unstranslated manga, and since I couldn't find a teacher I avidly studied and I still do - sometimes I come home after school and jump right into some of the books I've gotten. But, recently I have fallen in love with Japan's culture in general. I especially love Japanese literature and history! Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!

こんにちは みなさん。 はじめまして。 I guess that i haven't posted here yet. I could have sworn that i did, but i guess not. So...about me. My name is Winona-Sioux, I'm 16, not currently in school (i'm in the process of transfering to a private school evil ), and extremely bored. I'm curently sitting here with a kitten on my shoulder, with nothing really to do. I took a year of Japanese two years ago. I have always been fascinated with Japan and the Japanese language. I am learning as much japanese as I can online. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone, but i don't post very often, so it may take a while. Well, gotta go. さよなら。

Konnichiwa! My name is Huiwen, but I think it's better if you call me by my screenname. sweatdrop I'm currently 19, but going on to 20 this year.
I've been picking up Japanese since a few years back, from anime, books, and my sister, but I've only started to learn Japanese officially last year. Currently taking a course in it in college, and I can't tell you how MUCH I was looking forward to getting into college just so I could start my education in the language. xd

Hi everyone, I'm Alundra. I've been studying Japanese for a year now and have gained a great interest in the language, culture and country, so would love to learn more about it. I'm almost 21 now and I've been learning Japanese at my local adult learning school with a friend who is leaving this year for Uni in another city.
I am hoping to one day in the future to go over and live in Japan for at least a year and teach English there so I can travel in my spare time, I'm aiming to do this once I finish Uni and save up some money to go.

Hello all (Konnichiwa Minasan),
How are you? (ogenki desu ka?)
My username is Shisno but my real name is Kelly (watashi no yu-za namae wa shizuno keredo watashi no hontoo no namae wa keri- desu).
I have been studying Japanese by private tutoring for 2 years now and before I had my tutor I did a year of study at highschool. Although I don't claim to know it all (as I'm so very far from it and my above attempt at Japanese in romanji probably needs drastic correction... sweatdrop ) I'm willing to help where I can and hopefully learn much, much more!
I'm 18 years old (watashi wa jyuu hassai desu). I live in Australia and I wish to visit Japan one day but so many things at home have been keeping me from going. I have 3 Japanese friends who are very helpful when it comes to practice and colloquial speech help and I wish I had them from the get go as it would have been so much better when first learning (I recommend having Japanese friends! I just got Japanese manga for my reading pleasure from one! whee )
I've never been one to think of the future so I don't have any plans on a job but many have complemented me on learning nihongo and that I'll one day rake it in with a really good job as a translater/teacher of English. However, I never had that in mind when I began as I simply loved Japan and I love langauges (my grandfather was a linguist though he was more into the European langauges rather than the Asian langauges) so I simply wanted to learn not for any other gain then the joy and that I would be able to meet new people and learn new things.
I'm sure I'll enjoy my stay here at 'The Japanese Student Guild' and thanks for reading my psychotically long introduction of myself and for understanding my laziness of using romanji instead of the actual Japanese characters.
Thanks again and it's nice to meet you all,
Bai Bai
Shisno

Konbanwa minna-san. (Yes, wherever i am right now... it is night time.)
I am Amekolyn. Or rather, Amekolyn is the name of my avatar. My real name is Menci (it's only a nickname, though). I am 18 years old and am quite fascinated with anything Japanese. I love anime and Japanese food the most, though. I hope that I may learn as well as contribute to this guild. Thank you for reading.

Hello. My real name is Joe. I am 23 years old and have been trying to learn Japanese for quite some time. I have the Rosetta Stone software as well as numerous books and I think I have just finally finished memorizing all the Kana.
It is hard trying to teach myself. I had the opportunity for classes over the summer but due to conflicts it was cancelled and postponed until next summer. But I hope to go to Japan within the next two years...sometime after I graduate in May.
I am a student of theatre, my major being performance. I will be attending stunt school at the International Stunt School in Seattle in June. I love anime, manga, the music, culture and martial arts of Japan.

Hi, I'm malificia. I'll be twenty this year but uuurgh... I'll try not to think too much about that sweatdrop
Mmm. I was first introduced to Japan and all things Japanese via anime and manga and since then I've learnt about lots of other japanese things such as the culture, music and such but I guess above all I just love love love...
Ramen and manga 4laugh
I've been taking japanese classesup at uni for about two years now, but sadly this semester will be my last so I'm currently looking for ways to continue learning japanese and upkeep what I've learnt so far.
So yeah. I guess I don't have a whole lot to say about myself, so that's about it. But it's great to find a place where everyone shares a similar interest and can all learn together ^_^ Thanks a bunch for listening to my rambly nonsense.
