Breth took the sword's edge to his padded arm. Turning to the wizard, Breth gasped."What are you doing? Can't you see what he's done? Help me repell this foe!"
He then turnd and attacked once more.

Aleena had been visiting her mother in Barton. She had been on her way to leave when a strange fog had come over the town. Suddenly people were running to thier homes. Aleena thought it was another fight between the armies until she had seen a couple of soldiers attack some undead monster that had come in on a horse. He'd beaten the soldiers back, but one had come back. Aleena ducked into an alleyway and watched the fight.

"Hm, it is pointless, my child. You cannot kill what is already dead," Kaki then turned to Hain again. "I have been named by humans as Solice. I have been in there world for over 4,000 years, but I am much older. I knew your master, before she was evil." Kaki then started to look enraged as if the memories caused him pain, "Leave now and terrorize these helpless humans no more!" Then Kaki pulled his sword and lunged at Hain.

Hain repelled the attack, quite dissapointed at the actions of such an old soul as Solice to resort to such a base action of resolution. A small scratch would manage by, however.

"If you would wish my leave, you need only ask.", Hain addressed the old man. He turned to Breth. "As for you, I will come about for your flesh eventually...". He then trod off, leaving the two at a distance.

"Come here," he said to the hurt soldiers, "I will heal you." Then Kaki pulled out a small dagger. "This be the Dagger of Rettis. It was given to me by an old friend. I hope your body will except it." Then Kaki stabbed the one with the least about of hearts right in his chest. "I cannot heal you to full strength. You must go to Aekea before that can happen. If you lose all the health I gave you before going to Aekea, you cannot be saved again."

Breth turned to Solice. "Thank you, kind elder...we are in your debt."
He turned to look at Talos, "You best ask the outpost O.I.C. for leave to Akea. We don't need you past any point of hope."
Talos nodded, "Yeah, I'll go later".
"As for you and I, Garrett, we should get back to our posts. We also need to inform the family of that poor child of their loss...", Breth nodded to the two halves of the little boy's remains strewn on the street.
"I did not get your name, sir", Breth noted to Solice. "I'd at least have the name of the man who helped us in our dire need."

It had been a while since the battle had reached its closure before the army had even thought about striking out on their own, but it seemed as though it as great as a time as any to make the attempt. Barton wasn't the best choice, but limited supplies had made it the only possibility. The first step was to make repairs and to gain the support of the people.
"Henry, the repairs are almost finished. Odd that not one of the generals in the Empire has even tried to strike out at us." The strategist was young, but always had a sound of intelligence to his voice. It was his soft tone that often made people like him.
"Probably didn't view us as a threat. Their mistake, Jia, they ignore us now, but eventually their heads will be parted from their bodies." Powerful and bold as always was the great general's tone.

Solice then departed from the group of soldiers. He could tell that there was a great conspiracy that was about to take place. He wished to learn about it. He could tell that they would soon come to Barton Town and would not bother with leaving. Meanwhile, the noisy old man began to snoop around. He came upon a group of men speaking of Imperial Generals.
"Excuse me," he said, "What is this of being caught by Generals?"

"Didn't think anyone would be listening in on our conversations." He seemed to be annoyed although he always seemed that way. Most people figured it was from being in more than a few battles.
"Forgive Henry. I would like to say that he isn't normally like that, but that would be a lie. We are a part of Lord Richard's forces being called the Forces of the Phoenix due to making an attempt to rise out of these ashes and rise into the heavens." Calm and composed as if he had never seen any bloodshed in his life. "Honestly we are not at liberty to say at the time unless of course you can prove that you can be trusted. Not to sound rude or anything, but well anymore you never know who is an ally and who will stab you in the back."
