((Ties are good. But you did win, and I did not correctly use my abilities. So, no, I must denounce the tie. If I am to tie or even win, then I want to earn it completely fair and without any doubt. That was a good match, but now I must retreat to lick my wounds and try to pick up the shattered remains of my pride xp .))

Vincent walks back in to the small hut to find the mage Perrian waiting for him. "Ah, Master Perrian! Happen to see my butt-whooping at the hands of Fury? I tell you, that guy is quite the fighter...ow." Vincent says as he rubs his stomach where the spectral hand hit him. He sits down at the simple table and absently fiddles with the lock of lav's hair that she had mysteriously left for him. Of course the sword had sensed the curse within her, even if Vincent hadn't. Now it had peeked his curiosity. They were similar, maybe she would help him. "Perrian, I need you to do something for me, but you must be entirely willing...there's a good chance that the four of us may not live through this. Will you listen to what I have to say?" He asks almost desparingly as he looks up into your face.

"Well, first you should know a little about me. You see, years before I ever came here, I lived in a beautiful country known as the Kingdom of the Emerald Hills." Vincent's eyes seem to sparkle as his mind wonders to his birthplace, "Lucious grasses, vivid flowers, and trees bigger than anything I've ever encountered before. In that kingdom we lived symbioticly with nature. We took from natures harvest, then gave back any way we could. But most outstanding of all was the Earth Tree, Gaia. Named of course after our planet. Gaia was near to two hundred and fifty feet wide at the trunk, and stretched far into the heavens. Its branches housed many people, and even the capital building. King Paul o' Neal was a close friend of mine, and as such he had appointed me as the captain of his royal guard. It was such an honor. My fiancee was just as extatic, if not more so. We were to be married in only a few short months." Suddenly, Vincent's eyes begin to cloud over with a yet untold pain, "But with all good things, they must come to an end. The warmongering kingdom of Kestral, far to the north, decided that our nutrient rich lands would prove a 'valuable asset' to their growing lands. When they attacked, they sent such crushing numbers that we stood no chance. Within the first three days they had reached the walls of the capital, by the end of the sixth only two hundred and fifty men remained of my beautiful country. Even my king gave his last to defend the gates...but to no avail. We were forced to retreat to Gaia and the castle. There, the two hundred and fifty men of the royal guard, myself, and my fiancee defended ourselves fiercly. When the fight was finally over, only fifty of my men remained and the enemy force retreated. The celebrations were just beginning when one, lone, enemy archer took aim and fired. The shot was true and minutes later, my worst nightmare came true and my fiancee lay dead in my arms..." His eyes mist over as the words leave his mouth. "I left that burnt and pillaged land and never looked back. My last order to my men was to leave and never come back. I don't know what happened to any of them, or what became of my country. Perrian, that is why I have called you here. I want you to accompany me and a select few back to my home country in the Kingdom of the Emerald Hills. I can't make you, but not knowing is slowly killing me. It may be awhile before we depart, but I must know your answer now."
