Woooosh! Ilistala could almost hear the comforting scream of parting air as she ran across the floor, dragging her cousin behind her and positively thrilled to really get the party going. However, several things happened almost at once that made her stop, right in her tracks:

1.) Asra had wandered out of the room she was leading the others into, presumably the kitchen. It took some effort to bite back the flames of mild embarassment that begged to flush her cheeks. How silly she was to lead an Expedition of Fun into the kitchen, of all places!

2.) Shauna fell. Well, that was almost predictable! It seemed like every time she turned around, Stala would catch her favorite cousin tripping over the slightest bump in the ground (or worse, her own tail, which Stala herself deemed a walking hazard). The Shattered girl giggled aloud, one tanned hand sliding over her mouth to stifle anything else that might leak out: a rather nasty remark or something of the sort.

3.) An enormous crashing noise, which sounded suspeciously like breaking glass, sliced right through the rest of the words Ilistala bared herself from saying. Jeeze! What a frightening noise!

"Whoa!" Stala hissed, her hands shooting to her rapidly beating heart. "What was that?" Her question was soon answered when, upon following the investigation of Asra, she discovered the source: indeed, a broken mirror; hunks of glass spewed across the floor, glittering like so many stars.

Asra's rather disappointed statement brought a quirk of a smile to her lips, although Stala wouldn't be able to explain why. "I'll help!" She plopped an angled elbow on Shauna's shoulder. A glint of light on metal sparked her interest from the broken mirrior, however, when a young girl with scissors for wings planted herself near Ilistala.

"I really like your wings," she commented, shrugging and smiling. What an eventful night this was turning out to be!

Enoh chuckled as Shauna was tugged past her, offering her kind-of neice a wave and her own greeting before the fox girl disappared. Wow. Shauna'd gotten bigger! The shifter made a point to remember to let Vidya know about her cousin's change, since more than likely her nymph daughter would want to meet with the fox again. Humming to herself, she went back to watching the crowd of strange and unfamiliar faces.

Raeanne's smile started to wain as the stitching that kept her lips together started to tug at her skin. It didn't hurt persay, but it wasn't pleasant. Eventually her lips fell back into the expressionless line that she was 'created' with. But she was still staring at the older girl, and her finger still pointed at the clearly used teddy.

Her unblinking eyes seemed to brighten when the blonde one responded to her, and the doll was quick to take the bear and hold it against her like she was holding a long lost sibling. The bear only lost her attention when Joce touched her shoulder and ushered her elsewhere. Leaning her head back she looked up at her, her attention shifting once more when she heard the glass shatter. Looking around, she spotted the fragments of the broken mirror, pointing at it with her sewing needle while looking back up at Joce, expecting the older girl to understand...after all, she clearly understood the unyelding affection the teddy had for her! A true friend to plushies everywhere.

Elle weaved back through the curious crowd, holding the broom and bucket out of the way as she smiled at those gathered. Asra had all the help he needed! She settled the supplies against the doorframe, and bent to speak softly to Asra.

"I still need to find shoes. Maybe later...we can finish saying hello?" Another quick smile, and Elle was gone, off in search of sandals.

Like most of his time in crowds, the growing mass of Shattered caused him to shift away from the noise and towards a wall. No bleeding this time, just too much sound and too much pressing after being alone, or with only one or two others, for over a eyar. The crowd, though welcome, was stiffling. Still, he made sure to leave a shed feather near him, just in case.

The sound of glass braking almost made him startle. Turning his head a bit and listening carefully he could tell that the little, or not so any more, fox had fallen near it. Wings rustling a tiny bit he knelt down nearby, hands carefully collecting a few errant pieces.

"What happened to cause this?" The question was asked to no one in particular. And honestly, he didn't really expect an answer.

Initially, Joce had no intention of following the sound of the glass - it had startled her, yes, but where there was glass, there would be a mess, and a mess meant cleaning up. The girl did not want to be wrangled into helping clean up someone else's mistake. Seven years bad luck for them, none for her!

Her face pinched at Raeanne's curiosity; familiar, wasn't it? Was she that eager to go see broken glass? Jocelyn gave an internal groan, her shoulders slumping as her eyes rolled upwards. How did she know she was going to get stuck with Curious George?

"Alright, let's go see." She hadn't been trying, but she sounded just like Eeyore.

She started forward, before nearly tripping on her own feet. Turning, she held out her hand for the little girl to grab onto and began again the Awful Quest to Someone Else's Mess once she did (if she chose to).

The shattered glass, much to her surprise, gave her a smug satisfaction - who was the idiot that broke this mirror? Must've counted for at least a CENTURY'S worth of bad luck! What a loser --

"Asra?" She ate her words and mentally slapped her own wrist.

She knelt. The pieces stuck like shards of ice from the carpet. Or like little pixie's wings shed away and scattered across the floor, she thought with a minute smile.

"C'mon, Rae - wanna help?" The offer wasn't too enticing.

Brownie shrugged at Lonan's question. "Dunno." For all she knew the lot of them had been summoning Bloody Mary before she got there.

She turned to Ilistala. "Yeah, I like them. The wings in question lifted a bit to make it possible for the girl they were attached to to kneel. She gingerly picked up a piece of glass before turning back to look up at the fire Shattered. "Yours are cool too. Can you fly?"

Asrafel hadn't even managed to make a move towards the pieces of glass, so distracted was he by the sudden chimes of questioning and the rush of help that had come to his aid. He looked around; there they were, his kin, looking in with worried curiosity or helping to pick up the pieces. Though it wasn't much to be touched by, he was touched. His heart swelled with pride and joy, and he was gladder than ever that he had brought his kin together for the day. Even now, new bonds were being made, and old ones reunited.

As the group worked together, they had cleaned up the pieces in no time. He looked at the pile in the corner, that glittered and shined in the light of the sun streaming through the nearby window. It cast odd swirls of color to shine back from the shards, making them look much more vibrant and alive than they really were. He had grabbed a garbage bag from the kitchen, and opened it up, dropping it on the hill of glass. With a swoop, it was captured, and there he left the bag for later disposal. He stood up straight and looked at the room; devoid of any clue that there had been an accident.

He reached out and gave Joce a hug, being closest to her once they had finished.

"You guys really didn't have to do that." He grinned brightly, and shoo'd them out of the room. "Did anyone get any cuts? Glass is very dangerous!"

Once they were all out of the room, Asrafel closed the door and tried his very best to restart the party as it was before the crash.

Papree had zero intention of visiting the Benedict Center this day. In fact, she didn't even know the place existed. Fate had other plans, this day, namely in the form of a VXS-Alpha Mecha Wing Pack that Seraphim had left lying around as she rocked out to Guitar Hero. Papree, decidedly uninterested by the game, which was a source of major irritation and dislike due to the loud noises it made the TV emit, was off poking around the house to see if Ren was hiding in one of the closets again.

What she did find was the afore mentioned Wing Pack, lying outside in the backyard next to a cat-shaped helmet.

Out of curiosity, Papree had strapped herself to the angelic-looking mecha wings and remembering safety first, slid the helmet over her head. She caught fully unprepared when the pack activated and she blasted off, not even getting a chance to shriek in horror as Seraphim continued to whammy on complete in ignorance.

After a harrowing journey through the skies and frightening the entire bird population of Gambino, Papree's adventure ended with her crashing through the window of the Benedict Center and somehow becoming stuck to the ceiling, like some sort of bizarre Christmas angel. Frightened, but strangely unharmed by the whole ordeal, Papree's first instinct was to start bawling. As her tears started to leak out of her eyes and down her cheeks, she became aware that she wasn't entirely alone, that there were people down below her, looking at her. Choking back the sob that was coming up, Papree crossed her arms as she glared and scowled (although the effect was slightly marred by her damp cheeks) down at the people below, giving a 'What are you guys looking at, huh' impression, as if Papree had every right to be hanging up on the ceiling and was a perfectly normal thing to do.
