Kari saw a cat creeping out the door, "oh no you don't" she said, scooping the cat up, it was a good thing Fear had flown out for some hunting. Stroking the cat, she found another girl, "is this your cat?" she asked.

Thylassa saw a girl speaking to her and ran up. She was holding Darkeningsun! "Oh, thank you so much!" she breathed. Now grasping both cats, she continued; "What is your name? This silly one might have been crow food if not for you!" Turning down to Darkeningsun, she mentioned "I have to have a good talk with you, mister! I've warned you about the leash, and now I think we need one for you, do you agree?"

Kari smiled, "possibly, he does seem like the type who would love to escape, your cats are adorable, what are their names?" She looked at Darkeningsun, who looked only very slightly disappointed at not being able to make the daring escape he had dreamed of, "he's lucky that my falcon wasnt here, she isn't friendly to other animals, don't worry, I am though."

Thylassa giggled a bit, happy to have made a friend about an hour after arriving. Maybe I'll finally fit in somewhere.... "Oh, well, the trouble maker you just caught is Darkeningsun, and this little guy..." she said, flicking her head that had a bit messy pony tail towards Leopardclaw, "...is Leopardclaw." Darkeningsun flicked his tail back and forth and stared at Kari, while Leopardclaw meowed a hello. "I'm Thylassa. (thi-LASS-a)Oh, what did you sign up for? Maybe we'll have some extra classes together!"

"Well, orchestra, egyptology, a few other things I can't remember," she said slowly, "and you?" She looked down at the cats for a moment, smiling silghtly then looked back up.

After quickly going through the list in her head, she listed them all. "I only have four, but they're choir, soccer, music, and french." Darkeningsun dug his claws into her, signaling that he was upset, but Leopardclaw smacked him in the face with a paw, a "that's-the-end-of-that" kind of motion.

"Oh, thats right!" Kari said, "I chose to take French as the language, and I'm going to try out for Chorale, thats the choi, and the soccer team, I hope I make it onto at least one of them." Kari laughed when she saw Leopardclaw smack Darkeningsun, "your cats are so amusing! "

Thylassa brought both cats up to her face and snuggled them tightly. "Yes, they are, aren't they?" She laughed. Leopardclaw had always been more attached and loyal, without that good of a bond with Darkeningsun. She thought of him more of the Rusty/Firepaw/Fireheart/Firestar kinda guy, while Darkeningsun, the annoying, selfish, rude, always getting into trouble cat, reminded her of Tigerclaw/Tigerstar. If you've ever read the warriors books, you'll understand her point of view.

"Leopardclaw reminds me a bit of Brambleclaw kind of, you know, loyal, actually minds the rules, and Darkeningsun is more of a Squirrelflight, if you ask me, more impatient, easily displeased, doesn't really care for rules, you know." Kari observed, looking at the two cats.
(yes, I have read the Warriors books so I understand the connection)

"Yeah, you're right, they do!" Thylassa smiled and gazed down at the cats. "I got these guys for Christmas last year. Every year instead of a bunch of things my whole family, which only consists of an uncle, a cousin, and my brother, put together a fund for me and get me one big thing. Or two, in this case. The year before that I got a laptop. It's silver with blue waves on it. Looks kinda like the ocean, if you ask me."

Kari nodded, "I got Fear for my birthday, even though she wasn't a present, she just showed up on my windowsill as a chick and I took care of her, then when she grew up a bit, I couldn't bear to let her go, so I kept her. She might seem a little bad at first but she grows on you," Kari looked up, she had heard a screech, "here she comes," she muttered, "Fear, over here!"

Rikku's grandmother and herself had walked upto the school and stared at the looming building. Rikku pushed back the tears as she said her goodbyes to her grandmother. " Grandmama I..I'll see you soon okay?" her grandmother said nothing, she just turned around and walked back to her car and drove off. Rikku smiled knowing her grandmother meant well. She knew that if her 'grandmama' had a said a single word she would've burst out crying and never would've been able to leave. Rikku picked up her bags and walked into the school and said " H...hello? Is anyone here?" Rikku pushed her white hair out of her eyes as she lay her bags down on the floor.
