So I'm working on an idealet, going by the title "Magically Delicious!" right now
the basic concept is, a number of people age 17-26 wake up with tingling teeth one day, and throughout the day other strange things happen, like all of their senses are enhanced or upgraded or magnified or multiplied or whatever (everything tastes really good), and then some stuff happens and they have magical powers, only they're all really lame, like the ability to ... um... change text? make stuff clean maybe.
and then eventually yano, like always must happen somebody decides to take over the world

Abandon: Sands of Time
As the last trickles of light disappear from the New York sky a helicopter floats by it's lonesome staring down at the traffic as had every day at that time. With the report all but finished the craft banked, casting it's spotlight in a sweeping arc over the city, glistening across the obsidian skyline. Rooftop after rooftop, until, "Wait, turn back" the reporter shouted to the pilot, "Quick" he added. The copter lurched as the pilot swung it around and pulled it to a stopped, the spotlight cast over the spire of a near by sky scraper, standing on one of it's ridges a figure in a flowing black robe, it's face cast in shadow even with the light looking down on it.
The figure moved, turning and disappearing behind the spire, from the other side emerged a giant, and growing cloud that appeared to shift between a billowing mass of dust and a coherent sheet of fabric seamlessly. The cloud moved towards the helicopter quickly, with an air of panic. Instantly all light from outside was blocked off, the reporter and the pilot only lit by the instrument panel, alone save for the sound of the blades. As suddenly has the darkness had come the windshield shattered and was ripped from the cabin, the search lights of a club down on the ground passed over the helicopter, on the nose a figure assembled itself from the dust, her face now in full view and filled with rage. "Where is my sister?!" The voice booming from everywhere at once. The reporter sat astonished and dumbfounded, staring in horror, at his lack of response the girl vanished again. Moments later the crushed and twisted wreckage of the helicopter crashed onto the street.
In a far off place the sun shone brightly on a sandy brown desert spanning past the horizon, scared with deep gouges going off in all directions with no decipherable pattern. A trail of footprints leads out of the wounded earth, their owner not even visible anymore. At the farthest reaches of the battle field, in a crater pummeled into the sand a bloodied and limp body rests, unconscious, but alive. The sun sets and rises several times and a wandering tribe comes upon the crater.
----
At some point later than the other Abandon sequel I have listed Angeline and Christi (Dece and Dust) got in a battle against a very powerful Abandon who's goals are akin to global domination or destruction, whichever, and who's power is manipulating time, and he's really good at most of that. The desert is the aftermath of him and Angeline completing their battle after he managed to throw himself and the two girls back in time to before the original Found event, a time where nothing in the world is even kind of able to stand up to any one of the three. Unfortunately, Dece lost.
The story would follow the three of them as they go abouts' the world, the sisters trying to regroup and time-man putting himself in the best position to do whatever it is he's planning.
As a reminder, Angeline has the power to create shockwaves, at the time of the original RP she was pretty powerful but now she's a full fledged weapon of mass destruction; Christi, at the time of the original RP was comatose and astral-projecting her mind and body through her ability to manipulate particulates, hence Dust, in the future she wakes up and gains the ability to convert things into and from particulates, including herself. Also she can manipulate said dust with great force and accuracy (crushing/destroying helicopters is nothing new to her).
Time-man would be a second generation Abandon, having already infected, grown up with, and adapted to the first generation, the virus that causes it is even more compatible with the human genome than before, resulting in more pronounced and more powerful powers, as well as the new aspect that it can infect nearly everyone, instead of just newborns. Which leads to the other part of it, shortly after their arrival a new history of the Abandon starts to overwrite the original, people around the three characters begin to manifest powers and ether start fights or join the team. The virus isn't airborne, contact only.
So then, I feel like there was supposed to be another paragraph but since I can't remember it, done for now!
edit: Oh right, I was thinking, 'The Abandon' is actually really hard to say with any sort of flow, so I've been considering changing it to 'The Abandoned', 'An Abandoned', etc. That way it does flow and doesn't sound ridiculous.

The Wars of Man
Not much done with this idea yet, but basically imagine the standard fantasy world, somewhat LotR style, Elves, ... those erm... the short ones that like to mine?, orcs, goblins maybe, etc. The difference being that everything is peaceful, the orcs fight amongst themselves, but more in play than anything. The goblins just kinda dumb tribal people, elves keepers of the forest, there's tension sure, but it's more of a civil/political sort, ages since the last open warfare of any sort.
So then man shows up from some far off shore or through a previously impenetrable forest. And it all goes to hell.

San Huevos Revisioning: Untitled
The past was a long time ago, more than a few facts have been lost, forgotten, hidden, or destroyed, but the state of the world is the state of the world. An estimated 241 years ago a 'thing' happened; the details are sketchy but it's known to have happened at approximately 800 kilometers above a small city in northern Africa. The event immediately effected just under half of the Earth's surface, and within years rendered the remaining surface extremely toxic as well. In the following two centuries it also converted the atmosphere from oxygen and nitrogen to primarily sulfur mixed with argon and a high density of iron oxide dust.
Still, human life persisted, though at a fraction of it's former population. Prior to the event a number of nations and corporations were developing underground ecosystems to test intrastellar technologies for the race to civilize Mars, Titan, and other planetary bodies in our system. These ecosystems weren't designed for the populations they got, but in the end 700 million people survived. In the following centuries these ecosystems were forced to expand, eventually through their tunneling they connected, and humanity was united again. Following that an entire series of new cities were built, mostly using great caverns that naturally formed deep in the earth's crust. The largest and most successful of these cities is Saodo Crotia, effectively the leader of the world, and holding 40% of it's population.
more later, sleep now.

Man kind is trapped under the dirt, resources so limited, and the surface so toxic, that nobody's even been able to put together the necessary bits to try to go into space. Still, they have to expand somewhere, so development of the Infinity Pit began, though originally it had a much less cool name, something like "Transspatial Conduit Instigator" or something, it was meant to create a doorway between that earth and another, that hadn't suffered the catastrophe, where everybody could escape to and live pleasant easy lives exploring space and shooting at aliens. Of course, that went terribly wrong, and the result was the Infinity Pit. Of course that's all being kept a secret as best as possible.
The effect of the IP is very simple, it erradicated the natural order of things, effectively destroyed the world for a very short period of time even. then it recreated the world, exactly as it was, only with different rules. The universe is now a construction of thought, directly resulting from the beliefs of those who strive to understand it. The trouble with this is that most people have a fairly strict view of how the universe does and should function, and even very religious people tend to think god or gods only exist to influence their lives subtly until the afterlife, so for the most part the world was as it had always been. There are however a number of people who were able to alter their reality, or had their realities altered by extreme circumstance
What does this mean? If you could truly make yourself believe you had the powers of god, you would be god. But you can't, god gods are lame, so you can do less.

Given that these powers result directly from the user's beliefs and understanding it is entirely plausible, if not more likely, that a person may have to use a thing to justify the result, citing anything from magical spells to technologies beyond their comprehension as explanation.
Furthermore it's completely reasonable and in fact easier for someone to become aware of their abilities via extreme circumstance, usually life or death sort of stuff but anything would be fine.
Finally, the magnitude of one's power is derived by how strong their belief in it is, and if that belief should waiver, so would their power.

so, we've got the city of Saodo Crotia, somewhere in the world. But the world is a pretty big place, it might only have a billion or two people now but it's big, and big with lots of people means disagreements, divisions, and really what good post-post-apocalyptic subterranean society could possibly have world peace. So Saodo will be the biggest city of the most powerful nation in the Earth. Given that to be somewhat true they're a pretty cocky nation, as far as dealings with other nations go, which makes them not especially popular and sometimes downright hated. Which instigates wars.
So let's call the country Mesu, cus I feel like it. Mesu is currently at war with three other nations, and having open hostilities with numerous minor nations. does that matter? who knows. But certainly, of the whole world not every group of people are going to be civil about their fighting.
I will note that for the time being I have no plans for taking the game outside the city, let alone the nation, so it's pretty fuzzy out there. and did I mention the giant burrowing horse-like-creatures? yea...
So as it's rounding out to be the city of Saodo is, or is essentually run by a corporation, maybe even a megacorp, megacorp is technically somewhat completely mostly entirely responsible for the infinity pit, but I guarantee they probably had nothing to do with what happened above a small town in northern Africa a long time ago. most of the time. Anyways, it's a megacorp, they've got divisions for everything from growing crops with slightly less radioactive elements to developing the new generation of giant burrowing horse-like-creatures, as well as banking, mass production, and of course the ever ongoing expansion of Saodo Crotia. The division we care about is the more shadowy criminally aspect, they're going to be pulling a lot of the strings, so they should probably have a fair number of PCs
but whatever, I'm totally off my rocker right now

As to the world:
the world is a very large place, and Saodo Crotia is but a tiny bit of it, but still it's a huge place, that is as of yet barely defined.
To begin with, Saodo actually consists of a number of layers grouped into zones. Although the diameter and even the shape varies at ever point it averages 14 miles wide, with the central mile or so cut open by a giant tunnel cutting vertically through the city. This tunnel serves many purposes, besides providing space for utility pipes it's the main thoroughfare between the floors, known as districts. Strictly speaking the city is divided into four sets of districts based on the role they were intended to provide. At the bottom was Services, meant to house all the machinery for keeping the city functioning; several decades ago much of this support was moved to locations outside of the city walls to reduce pollution levels within the city itself. Above Services was Industrial, meant to house private industry and such. Above that is the residential area, designed for maximum occupancy. Above that is Commerce, as it sounds commerce was to be a place of business.
How it actually worked out is that the bottom three zones are speckled with everything, but particularly residence and industry. The top zone has become a jewel of the rich and powerful, unlike the lower districts the top zone consists of a vast open space, stabbed from every direction by shining monoliths and lit almost as if by daylight, but not quite. The top level is by far the closest thing to the Earth that was hat currently exists.
Even with the giant tunnel in the middle of the city transportation is a problem. Each district has it's own internal roadways, though most of these are very small, and the big ones are almost exclusively used for large cargo. The real transit system is the railways, since the city and all of it's districts are roughly circular each district has a series of rails running in circles, with branches webbing between them. To connect the districts there are vertical railways, as well as mostly-vertical railway. These rails stitch the city together and make it fairly easy to go from one place to another, assuming you're permitted to go there.
Given that it's an underground city pollution is almost entirely unacceptable, so all of the railways are electric, and many of the better ones magnetic, they also don't usually go as deep into the city. The final layer of transit are the megalifts, based at the rim of the tunnel these are giant elevator platforms, used almost entirely for cargo, but a number of passenger trains also run onto them to allow for more versitility with less construction.
Next thing; for example let's take any ole' district other than the top. Inside the district it's roughly 400 meters tall, though the districts of the Residential zone have artificial topology all of the other districts are almost entirely flat (the exception being the very bottom dozen or so districts which curve up at the edges like a bowl.
Lighting is a complicated matter, each district's ceiling is covered in a large array of lighting elements, but these are not particularly powerful, maybe as bright as a particularly bright full moon, but not really enough for a lot of things so a lot of areas have more powerful street lighting that is a lot closer to daylight and generally good enough for just about everything. Then, just as today nearly all buildings have their own lighting. The ceiling lights vary in brightness by about half on a day/night cycle to help give the appearance of an actual day/night cycle, which does a lot to influence the mindset and health of people. Still, lots of the city doesn't have anything better than a full moon so flashlights are common.
Because of the available resources the bulbs used for district lighting, and most of the other stationary bulbs produce a small amount of a very specific wavelength of light that in a significant but small portion of the population causes intense irritation. Although this condition can be treated the drug for it is not cheap, and has a few nasty side effects that can also be treated by some not cheap medicine; most people would rather shell out a modest sum for a hood that will last their life instead of continuously buying more expensive headaches.
As far as personal transportation goes, motorcycles and small cars are available, but only as build it yourself kits, furthermore fuel is a bit of a problem. Because of pollution control only combustibles like natural gas and propane that ether don't produce much of anything other than water, are permitted. Technically they are a lot more powerful then electric systems, but they are also more expensive both because of the fuel and the parts availability.

Technology wise things are rather complex. Lots of stuff in the realm of power, pollution reduction, tunneling, etc have come a long way. Other areas like personal computing have made major steps back. Things like the internet simply don't exist anymore, though companies have invented their own private versions anything outside of the corporate world is rare. TV has been resurrected but it's fairly rare since the thick structure and dense earth in and around the cities makes transmitting to a large audience difficult, and laying cable expensive. Radio is however very common, a certain range of frequencies was identified that are capable of supporting simple transmissions even through the district floors and dirt. this technology is a solid two decades old, but they've been a rather busy two decades so largely governments haven't gotten around to legislating them. Saodo Crotia in particular has no controlling laws for them, it does however have laws about power consumption, limiting any studio without a very very expensive license to power levels that only allow for covering about six levels. The few corporate stations that do have the license are all news all the time.
Back to TV, just about the only place you're going to see one is in bars and restaurants

Eyes of the Sun Starfall Eyes of the Sun would be a multiple chapter saga following soldiers fighting in the Battle of Hades, an assault on Caerion home system, a heavily armed pair of stars in wide orbit. The assault included the participation of over four thousand carrier class warships from twenty three militaries, many of which would normally consider each other enemies, despite these allied forces claiming victory, the cost of over twelve million lives, not counting the Caerion casualties, leads most historians to consider it a failure. The battle lasted seventeen days, five hours, and six minutes, at that exact moment the Caerion home world, Githos, was bombarded with the equivalent of 200 gigatons of TNT, the attack was visible throughout the system and the surviving Caerion forces unilaterally surrendered. The population at the time of the bombardment is estimated to have been 9 billion. No survivors. Chapter 1, Starfall, details the events immediately preceding and during the start of the battle, specifically from the view point of a joint strike force that will be inserted into a Caerion defense station just before the armada arrives. Further chapters will be determined when their time approaches and will not necessarily be linear or from the same character group

Pause This is another one of those storilettes that me and Jikial worked on a bit, we could never get it to the point where it was a functioning story but whatever
At it's core the concept is that suddenly, for no apparent reason, time stopped, everywhere, for everything, except for about two dozen people on the whole of the planet. Time just kinda half stopped for them, they never get hungry, injuries just kinda don't happen, they never get old or tired. The world stays frozen like this for a very long infinitely small period of time, for the rest of the world no time at all passes, for those who are awake through it months, even years pass. Then one 'day', blink, time's going again.
The game would start out just before the pause, play into it then start jumping forward by long periods, but really all of this is just the beginning, the main story begins when the world starts moving again. They're not the same, they've lived for so long alone, or with only a few people. In less than the blink of an eye to the outside universe they've become very different, they don't really fit anymore.
