Boo-san Don't you think it would be seriously cool to have a teen dramedy (comedy/drama) for and about band nerds? It could center around a couple of friends in their high school band, facing the normal challenges of teenager-dom and the wacky hijinks that come along with marching band! xd Do you have any ideas on a title, episodes, or characters? Or even what station it could be on or where it could take place? I don't know about you, but I think that would be an awesome show to watch! biggrin weird i was thinking the same thing! i think it would be awesome mrgreen

Durza the Shade That's be pretty cool, if they did it right. Most of the time TV potrays band as the epitome of lameness. Which probably means a show that puts band it a good light wouldn't do very well . . . *sigh* i've noticed that too crying but maybe having us in a new light would help(if not, there should be enough band people watching so maybe it would stay on the air 3nodding blaugh )

RifleArt I think that if any actor or actress play in the tv series they should younger than all them actor, someone like Raven S. or that dude from Phil from the Future(he a bass drummer in his marching band biggrin ).
I don't if yall would like this but in my band the head DM is a prep/b***h (she even has her little groupies gonk )and the whole band hates her. (that actually happens in my band)
Or... The Drumers and Guard hates each other?
I have alot of other Ideas. i didn't know he was a drummer heart heart cool i like that idea. at my school there is kind of this war thing between the low brass and drumline but i think it's gotten somewhat better.

They should make a movie about a marching band rebuilding the tradition they once had so many years ago. Sort of like my band, like 20 years ago they were getting division 1 ratings at state contest, and they had a really awesome band. Now, we're on our third straight division 1 at state (which I am so proud of!! biggrin ) and we're getting so much better. It would be something like showing them at their shows, their disappointments. Like showing them 5 years ago at state getting a division 3. It'd have to have the drama of band, too. Of course the ongoing rivalry between brass and woodwinds too. That's just my idea.

ha we talked about that before in pit but in band in 8th grade we did a little play. haha it was great but marching band now is so dramatic

We won bunches of competitions and marched a few time in the Macy's thanksgiving day parade.Over the last 15 years our statis has dropped and we're trying to bring it back.

'Mark Time Mark!' Now it's time for the Mark show! *cymbal crash*
One of our band managers is named Mark, and I think of that every time the drum major says that line.
Yes, a show about band/marching band peeps would be wonderful. How about a band RPG while we're at it? Now that would be spiff.
Maybe for episode ideas we could think of random things that happened in our experiences with band, and combine it all into one spectacular show.
Here's a few examples of quirks/events in our band:
Our tuba player, atleast once every season, has something happen to his leg that prevents him from marching. (not always the same thing)
One of our drum majors is perfect, not because he thinks so, but because that's the general consensus of the entire band. He can do no wrong.
The same goes for his little brother. Astounding genetics right there. blaugh
Last year, we had a color guard that only joined because the guy she liked was a co-captain of the drumline. (despite the fact that he already had a girlfriend) rolleyes
Half of our drumline quit about two weeks before we're supposed to go to New York. stressed
Our only male color guard member is gay.
Okay, so that's all marching band... As for Concert Band... Well, maybe once concert band season actually starts, I'll think of something.
