samus x Dyami started to hum to himself as he walked along not caring if any noticed him. he was in a rather good mood which explained the humming the normally silent and proud stallion. eyes glancing here and there he caught sight of a red wind stallion that had red, blue and yellow wings as he came into view. tilting his head as he came closer he found it somewhat odd for him to have a basket with him but then he might seem odd himself caring a rose about in his mouth. humming having long stopped he gave a nod to the other stallion and stopping a comfortable distance from him. it wouldn't due any harm to stop to meet someone on his way home to his mate. Zaribe grinned standing there as the other approached him. A familiar face maybe speaking in tones of the wintry festive season. Reds, white, and green painted his body with nice spicy appearance of mint or something close.
Zaribe noted he'd glanced this stallion before talking to Celendra, or simply out on his own. Glory was friends with this one's daughter Tori. The parrots assumption was Dyami, an old friend of the herd, thought of as family. A kindred spirit that always seemed so tranquil when ever his presence was near.
"Greetings Dyami. It is I Zaribe from Celendria's herd. How have you been?" Truth be told he didn't know this stallion as well as the ice mare, but he knew his name at least. Maybe the other would know his name as well.
"Im on a quest from Celendria to help find my mate a perfect gift since we just recently accepted one another in love. Now I'm out finishing up the last of what I need to fill the basket and return to her not soon after. I just need to show Celendria I've accomplished my goal." He nodded to Dyami with a very polite gesture and breathed through his nostrils slowly, "Perhaps would you have an idea as to what I could give her ?"
Now he waited hoping he wasn't too impulsive in asking. His mind was furiously wandering for ideas so he could return soon. But was soon fast enough?

Gabriella had been out and exploring the lands close to her mate's home. This was the first time that Mythy had left her by herself while he went to have some male bonding with his father and brother. She thought it was a great opportunity to explore the regions these horses lived in.
As she had wandered for a few hours, she came upon an area where a colorful horse stood. She saw many horses coming and going. She hadn't ever seen so many coming and going except for when she accompanied her two-legger to the human village. Was this where her kind went to make friends? After a short pause, she put a smile on, and she walked right up to where she saw several congregated.

Dyami blinked in surpise that the wind stallion knew his name but then chuckled as the stallion mentioned his friend Celendria. setting the red rose in his mouth on to the ground he lifted his head back up with a small grin. " i'm surpised to hear that my friend Celendria has spoken of me to others and at how quickly you knew it was me though i have no doubt that im not a hard one to reconize." at Zaribe's question his grin grew wider as he knew exsactly what he could do to help him out. " i think i have an idea for you Zaribe. i was on my way to give this red rose to my mate but i think its a rather nice idea that you take it for your own mate instead as i tend to give my own mate gifts quiet often. also don't worry im sure she wouldn't mind that i gave it to you to give to your own mate. besides i can always get another for her as i know where to get them." lowering his head he picked up the rose that was at his feet and walked over to Zaribe and his basket. after placing the red rose in the basket he lifted his head back up and gave Zaribe a wink. "nothing like a red rose to show you love your mate and i'm sure with all the gifts you have gathered definatly will make your mate shocked and happy. oh and please do say hello to Celendria for me once you see her again."

"Oooh!!! A gift for Tic!" Rowenya exclaims excitedly as she looks around for something that she could contribute to the gifting. She tilts her head toward the fulgurite rock that is laying nearby. She recalls Christabel telling her about the rock that formed by the lightning hitting the beach or sand. A huge smile appears on her face as Rowenya trots over and picks the rock up gingerly. The small winged mare walks back to Zaribe and places the rock in the basket. "This is the stone that is formed by the lightning hitting the beach/sand.. should remind you and Tic of the skies." She smiles happily. Christabel smiles lightly at her daughter as she looks at Zaribe. "Since she chose the theme of the gifts we are about to give you.... I would like to present you with two feathers.." She plucks two white and black striped feathers from the ground. She places the feathers gingerly under the rock to keep it in the basket. "Feathers.. to remind Tic of a wonderful winged parrot that is going to protect her.." She trails off as she almost added "and the children she is about to have with you" Christabel just chuckles as she smiles at Zaribe. "I think you better get going if you want to see your beloved soon" She winks at him as she looks at Rowenya. "We don't want to be late for the 'meeting' so come.." She nods to Zaribe then walks by him with Rowenya in tow.

Rein_Carnation Well now this was something quite different than he was used to, but he didn't take that as something wrong either. Another soul that was quite different than others was never to be disregarded or ignored. Though her tongue was a bit hard to decipher, her words and attitude were rather chipper and open to trust. So the scarlet stallion looked at her in a different light and responded with a wonderful placed grin, "Greetings Malis. I am Zaribe of the jungle... but you may just call me Zaribe if you wish". His voice was rather deep though it carried a bit of playfulness that stood on the tip oh his tongue.
"You do keep your hair in really good condition. I'm like that with my feathers, one out of place and it needs fixed right away. My mate never fusses with me about it, so I'm thankful for that." He smiled bobbing his head before his eyes rested upon the basket where mostly the longer lilies were visible. "As for why I'm so far from home, I guess you could say Celendria the elder sent me out. You see I'm on a quest, a very special one to bring back the perfect token of my love for Tic. Thing is there's so many others have given, its going to be so hard to know which is the best." He ended that last word on an off note, for he really didn't know which she'd feel was the purest gift of his affection. Was it a rose, shell, necklace, flowers that she'd love him for? He couldn't even think of a start as to decide right at that moment.
Get it together Zaribe, remember you're on a quest for Tic.
Standing quite tall he ruffled his wings watching the troll. "And where are you from might I ask? Interesting tongue you have there. Zikeria and I came from the Southern jungles exploring. Been here ever since it seems."
He noticed the glittering shell by her feet, but he didn't dare breathe its presence right now. He was profoundly intrigued that someone interesting was taking time out of their day to chat with him. Ah hah! She had been right about the quest and the troll grinned once more. "Ahh well Ah be guessin' ya need some help in findin' a good present. But it be lookin' like ya already have so much." She peered into the basket and nodded aprovingly about both the delicate smeling flowers and the eye catching jewlery. The troll though for a moment about the golden shells she had been hunting down for her daughter. They would look nice... but Malis wasn't sure she wanted to give away all her hard earned efforts, especially as they wern't exactly for herself. "What kind o' thinks ya be lookin' for? Ya be catchin' me at a bad time, ah not be havin' much o' ma stash around 'ere."
Snorting softly she listened to the short version of how he had gathered together quite a large collection before nodding. "Ah be thinkin' it not be t' gifts she be wantin' it be t' stallion. Though ah not be sayin' gifts don't help." The troll chuckled before turning a little more serious. "Why don't ya be thinkin' o' somethin' ya can give ya'self. Instead o' just givin' her t' trinkets and flowers from others maybe ya should give some t'ing from ya own heart too. Ya could think up a poem, or ya can take her somewhere special so she can see some'ting she never be seein' before." Malis had a sudden thought. "Ah be thinkin' that ya might need a bit o' help if ya decide t' take her explorin'. Ah be havin' this treasure map, maybe ya be findin' something special when ya get t'ere. An' ya also be gettin' t' spend time wit' t' one ya care for most." She knew there was nothing better then exploring than exploring with mates who wouldn't stab your back when the treasure was reached. As she had worked out the treasure was hidden in a secluded lagoon, the view would be nice too.

Zaribe bid farewell to Tic's family, well herd she knew and loved very much. Such a wonderful feeling that washed over him in relief that she would be told he was safe from harm, and working very hard to be with her as well. The basket grew heavier day by day which rose his spirits to being with Tic sooner than he would hope. Bit what a mess of jumbled presents lied within that wicker sanctuary. Something just had to be done about the disorganization that was to be the biggest thing he'd ever offer to her.
Then he pondered the subject of foals someday deep in his mind. Would he make a dedicated father or like most stallions become annoyed and let the mare to raise them. Oh heck no... he could never do that to Tic or his future bloodlines. That wasn't like the show offish type parrot that he was. Why he'd want to be right there watching their first steps, or watching the winged ones soar to the skies. That's what he wanted out of life. Family and a future, which he had both nestled deeply in his chest.
His thoughts of family made him almost miss the pretty mare that bloomed like a new spring flower. Tulips adorned her golden locks of mane and tail as they streamed downwards like magical rivers. Her eyes a startling precious blue reminded the parrot of gemstones, so vibrant and shiny. Upon her head there grew a spiral and what was this? Why her wings were like Shaylee's, soft and fluttery. He never would of had the mere thought to ever come across one of such radiance.
This had to be a very special introduction indeed.
Clearing his throat he walked up almost to where she stood, placing the basket safely upon the ground before he began his greeting.
"Good afternoon beautiful spring flower that grows beautifully as she should, I am Zaribe of the jungle," he murmured in a deep tenor voice as a river of mane in red, blue, and yellow swept towards the ground. "And what may I have the permission to ask of you is your namesake?"
Then he spoke once more, "I am on a quest to bring something back to my beloved. An item that will fit in this basket yet symbolize and nurture the love I hold deeply for her. Would you like me to tell you my tale?"
He waited patiently so as not to startle her, for she seemed calm and so very sweet in his eyes.

Zaribe chuckled himself that his mind wasn't failing him were it counted most. Celendria had recounted most of her acquaintances with the rest of the herd, pointing out colors and personalities so even the flutter butter could understand whom the ice mare was referring to.
"Well Celendria has told most of us, in the herd that is, whom she knows best like Glory's friend Tori, Settia, and of course yourself." He nodded with a peculiar grin as his eyes raised in curiosity as the stallion placed the red rose within the basket. Friendship. Love. A rose was the symbol of one's heart as they willingly offered it to another they cherished. The deep set red along with Tic's striking yellow coat was perfect in contrast and statement.
Zaribe nodded with happiness as another gift was added to his mate's collection. And still those two sugarplums rested safely at the bottom uneaten. Oh the temptation that nipped at his fetlocks and withers daily. He needed to eat something other than grass or he'd wither away at this rate.
"Of course I will," he grinned with a nod and slight bow of his striking white face upon red. He knew Celendria would be overjoyed that Dyami had helped in his quest too. "The ice mare has entrusted me with this quest, so I'm determined to find just a few more soquili that will help me then I return. Quite simple really. I think she'll be pleased I've done as she asked."
Flicking his tail he showed Dyami the painting upon his rump. Then he noticed the slice of paint missing from the rainbow and parrot.
But how did it happen? No! It couldn't of happened. But it was right there staring back at him.
Zaribe's heart sank feeling as if he let Tic's owner down. Now it wasn't complete, he was afraid to face either of them now. His grin faded into a solemn expression as ears and tail drooped quite heavily.
"Now I've done it.... I can't return with this ruined. What will I do Dyami?"
Suddenly the quest faded from his mind and all that lied there was a broken hearted mare for him being so careless.

Zaribe watched the Christabel and her daughter with an appeasing smile. Both were very cheerful and extremely nice to him thus far. Heck everyone he'd come across in his travels had made him feel just a little more appreciative of everyone around him. Was that what Celendria was trying to tell him through this quest? To trust and learn who all was out there? He knew full well thousands of Soquili contributed to this land and many others. The good, neutral, and even the evil made up the species he was part of.
Rowenya's gift was quite intriging being of the lightning meeting the sand below. Just like himself meeting Tic on that wonderful day. So many memories to ponder through and chortle about. Maybe some would bring tears, while others brought peace too. But all of them were there's to share.
Christabel had granted feathers combined of both light a dark. Red and Yellow. All in the same yet completely different. Protect, yes he desired to protect her throughout their long life ahead of them.
Her mentioning of seeing his beloved brought that familiar grin back to his face after the thoughts that had just accumulated like a fresh snowfall.
"Yes I agree. I should be on my way. Thank you Christabel and Rowenya. Please tell Tic I'm coming home real soon." He then nodded his head to them both with a fun wiggle of the rump, before retrieving the basket to set off on his journey once more.

A present from myself?
He noted that quietly in his mind pondering a bit on what he could possibly give. Once he had fallen in love he was sure that was all that was needed to appease and show her his undying love. But, there was more he desired to give her. The world in a silver bucket, a million stars raining downward in diamonds, a sea of color as they stood side by side amidst one another. A foolish man's dreams to want the world for his soul mate, and yet was it really that childish as it sounded? He would indeed give her something of himself, at least when he thought of it. That had been the sole reason he had approached the elder in the first place. For the parrot, born of the jungle was quite indecisive and very impulsive when he wanted to be.
"Then I will find something to give of myself as I trot homeward bound to the finish of this long journey. I'm just not sure what, but I know I'll find it." He nodded with an achieving grin as it curved his deep muzzle dipped in black.
He peered at her curiously when the map was shown to him rather than the glittering shells. Perhaps an adventure with his Sunny Rainbow was just what they needed. Time to reflect and explore long forgotten places, and even find treasure if they were nimble and quick. For all treasure coves had always contained a price of sorts. A good breathtaking adventure was perfect as a gift to Tic.
"And I'd love to go on an adventure with her when I get back. I miss her so much being so far away," the thought was panging deep in his chest, "I do hope that we'll meet again sometime. I'm sure Tic would love to meet you for giving such a fantastic idea." He beamed and bobbed his head feeling quite ambitious, now knowing what Feena felt when she went looking for treasure and things that glittered like gold or silver.
Finally he looked toward the midday sun, "If I'm to reach the Forrest clearing by tomorrow morning I should be on my way sadly. Though I'd love to stay and talk with you about adventures you went on."He smiled with a curious wink, "I must depart and keep on my path so I make it on time. Promise me you'll go on an adventure with us sometime Malis. I think Tic and I would love the company."
Bowing to her with a gesture of his sweeping neck and mane he proceeded to pick up the basket that now held the treasure map securely in place.
An adventurer for us. You wait Tic. Wait for me.
"Thank you Malis. Thanks from the both of us. May you find your treasures and make your daughter happy when you return."
Then with basket in tow he started off nearing closer toward the clearing than he'd been in a long time.

lolz Rose image" ah no wonder you where able to know who i was so fast and thank you." Dyami smilied as he was happy he could help Zaribe out in his quest to find gifts for the one he loved. " i agree Celendria will be quiet pleased you have gotten your quest done." titling his head he noticed the painting done on Zarbi's rump that seeed to have gotten a tap messed up some how. seeing how upset Zaribe was he mused over how to fix the situation. " well why not return to the one who made the mark on your rump to have it fixed? i doubt a little stop to have it fixed would hurt anything unless your pressed for time."

Catori prances across the landscape, wondering in her normal ways in search of something to do. With a blink and tilt of her head she came to a stop, seeing something that caught her eye... it was a stallion, large and winged and colored like some great tropical bird. Though she wasnt one to comment on what was normal and what was odd, she herself was colored like one giant peice of candy. Her hair red and green like the colors of christmas, her legs triped like candycanes, and feathers/beads/shells with matching colors decorated her untill she clinked and chimed as she walked.
Something unusual else had caught her eye in her wonderings. Late in the crisp of fall a tiny but determined Flower had still managed to bloom, its petals curled and twisted into swirls protect itself from the oncomeing frosts of fall. It had been colored just like herself, a flower of striped red and white, with green to match her own hair. She had maanged to pick said flower and hook it the ties on her tail that her feathers were attached to. But now she saw this uniquely colored stallion and her mind wondered away from the oddity of finding a soft spring flower blooming in the cold winds of fall, and she pranced over, tiny crimson hooves sweeping her up to him with a xweet grin on her face. ' Helloy there. Now why in the world would you be lugging around that huge basket? " she asked, her ears tilting to the side as she asked, eyeballing the wicker structure with its variouse contense.
Samedi on the other hand stood quietly and watched the giant stallion. She had hauled one her sons out for this particular adventure and even though he was no please to be dragged around on the escapade he was there none the less. She watched, crimson eyes traped within the black confines of a ghostly glowing skull made her match the halloween atmosphere perfectly. Her main floated on the faint breeze like spider webs so she looked more spectre then soquili, but none the less she had made her way here. The elegant yet dark peice of metal work had been looked over her sons unicorn horn to insure it would not be dropped, and she carefully tuned out his complaints about being used as a "jewlery rack" as she watched the littel christmasmare so bluntly and loudly dance her way up to the stallion.
Misfortune growled and twiched his ears, not at all likeing the feel of metal against the spiraled red horn. A Bracelet had been looped around his horn and rested against his crimson skull. His mother had found it in some abandoned hut miles away, along with seveal other peices of metal work that could only have been brought over with the strange sadeled soquili from the new world,. but she had found it lovely, and taken it back to her teepee, the curves and loops perfectly fitted for a soquili of normal size, but she was a tiny littel thing and it has simply slid off of her hoof. so it stayed unused untill now. Leave it to his mother to be a packrat, and leave it to him to end up being a pack-mule. Still, he stood in relative silence waiting for his mother to move, she watched and waited, silent as the grave and he stewed in his own irritation.

"Thank you Malis. Thanks from the both of us. May you find your treasures and make your daughter happy when you return."
Then with basket in tow he started off nearing closer toward the clearing than he'd been in a long time. "Ya be findin' me around t' forest. Ah be livin' near where t' river bends as it travels through an close t' Immi's glade. Ya can always ask for t' wolf, Zayll. She may be a little worse for wear but she be knowin' where t' find me. Maybe when ya have time Ah be commin' wit' but ah be thinkin' that t' first quest should be wit' ya mate." The troll smiled, a slight twinkle in her deep red eyes. Suddenly she frowned and her eyes grew far away as if she was listening to something. A small snort of indignition and a toss of her beaded dreads, Malis came back to earth and peered quizically at the parrot stallion. As if a decision was made she twitched her shoulder so that the satchel swung forward. "Ah be thinkin' ya be needin' these. Not for ya mate mind you. You be knowin' who these are for when the right time comes." With a careful flourish she pulled a few of the golden shells she had been gathering and gently dropped them into the basket. "Now ya best be off, ah be catchin' ya later, you can tell me what she be thinkin' o' t' gifts when I next see ya. Ah be meaning t' explore the jungles, they be seemin' like home t' me." The troll gave a fairwell nod and sarted her own way down the beach after picking up the shell that had been hidden by her hoof. The troll was sure her daughter wouldn't mind and she had plenty of time to find some to replace the gifts given, Malis began her search once more.

Gabriella gave a soft flapping of her lips as horses do sometimes when feeling slightly restless. She turned her head blushing and feeling modest. "My name is Gabriella. Thank you for the lovely compliment. You know, I do have something I could add to your gathering."
She crooned her head to the side and with her teeth gently nibbled a bloom off of her hair. After loosening the stem, she slid out the flower and dropped it in his basket. "That is one of my tulips. They were made a part of me when I was very young. While I was young, someone must have planted seeds for them in my hair. Whenever one falls off or is plucked, another grows in its place."

After smiling and straightening her posture up like the proper calm young lady she always was, she looked up at him. "I would be honored to hear your story. I've never heard of a.. quest before. I would love to hear it. I have lots of time..."

Go see the one that painted it? Oh no he could never do such a thing for Tic and her two-legger would see his carelessness. No he had to think on this a bit more.
"Maybe Celendria would know what to do when I get back. Perhaps that two-legger... what was her name? Ah Tirranna". Yes that was her name. She was capable of arts like the baskets she put color on. Dyami did have the right idea about seeking the two-leggers for help.
"Ah yes. Well maybe not that certain two-legger, but the one living near the clearing might. Great thinking Dyami." He smiled with a few bobs of his head as if he were an actual parrot.
Looking at the setting sun approaching he nodded to the other in agreement, "Yes, I am a bit pressed for time so I must be off, but I do thank you for the gift and your advice. Ever think of going for eldership? You'd be great at it like Celendria. Take care Dyami, I'm heading home to see my waiting love."
Nodding his head downward he picked up the basket admiring all the glittering, beautiful, and wondrous items he'd been given. Night would bring him to morning, just in time for a hearty breakfast for his now growling stomach. "Ah I feel like I could eat a horse. No wait... that's just wrong."
His humor was never ending and still peaked when he least expected it.
