Ryou opened his eyes. He had fallen asleep ontop of his covers and still in his school clothes from before. He rubbed his eyes, his head ache was gone. He began his morning ritual and freshened up. Nontheless, he was still on time. Walking outside, he waited for Naomi on his steps.
Akiko, as always, was running late. "Why does this always happen!?" she yelled at herself. She could hear her mom in the background yell back 'Because you hit that alarm too much!' She ran out the door with a pop-tart in her mouth. As she ran towards school, she saw a rather tall and somewhat bulky student. It was Ushio. She stopped and staired, her orb glowed a dark, grim, dirty gold color that was jaget[sp?] looking. She felt cold.... this was a sign of danger. She made a mental note to stay away from him.
Ushio walked to school. He was beginning to walk pass Naomi's house- as well as Ryou's. He didn't even see Ryou, not yet at least.

It was a couple of minutes later when Naomi stepped outside. She had a piece of toast in her mouth and removed it once she locked the door. She yawned and waved at Ryou, “Morning dude.” she said smiling.
Yuugi was walking to school. He’d woken up a bit more now that he was moving around more. He was still tired but was going to try and stay awake during class. He kept his eyes on the pavement in front of him but glanced up for some reason and noticed Akiko... just standing there. He wondered what she was doing. “Morning, Akiko.” he greeted.

"Good morning," Ryou greeted. He brightened up a bit once Naomi came outside. He watched as Ushio passed them- Ryou didn't know who he was. He returned his attension to Naomi, "How did you sleep last night?"
Akiko snapped out of her daze by two things: 1) The sudden change of colors in her orb, and 2) Yuugi's greating. She blinked and turned around- her orb stopped glowing. "Oh! Good morning Yuugi!" Akiko chirped. She hadn't noticed she was just standing there, until now. She took a bite out of her pop-tart as she spoke. "How's it going on your puzzle?" she asked him.
Ushio looked over to see Naomi exit her appartment building. He smirked and said, "Naomi," in a devious tone. They knew each other, and he bet Naomi didn't.

Naomi stifled a yawn but said, “Just fine thanks. You?” She munched on her toast and rubbed the sleep that was still in her eyes. When she heard her name, she looked up and frowned when she saw Ushio. “What do you want?” she asked, her cheerful tone dropping away.
Yuugi sighed, “No so good but I’m getting close.” He said with a smile. He then looked at the concrete for a moment before looking back up at her. “Can I walk to school with you... or are you waiting for someone?” he asked. He kind of didn’t want to walk to school alone. Again.

Ushio chuckled spitefully, "Nothing, does it bother you that I know where you live?" He was messing with her mind. He pointed at her, "Don't think I've forgotten our last run in Naomi." He was still angered over that, he's been contemplating on how to get back at her.
Ryou scowled, though it was not nearly anything close to threatening. "What is your problem?!" Ryou argued with him. This guy was bad news. He felt scared when Ushio meantioned about where she lives.
"Shut it twrp, I'm not talking to you," Ushio snapped at Ryou.
Akiko smiked a bit, "You'll get it- I'm sure you will." Akiko blinked and said, "I wasn't waiting for anyone! I was just.... er... well, what ever," she started to say, but couldn't explain about her 'power'. She changed her tone and smiled, "But yea! You can walk with me. Some company would be nice!"

Naomi didn’t comment because she knew he wouldn’t dare try anything at her home. Ushio might have been dumb but surely he wasn’t that dumb. “Yeah... all talk and no guts.” She stated although she was a bit frightened of Ushio. The last time she and him had a run in, weird things happened and Naomi nearly ended up in the hospital. She glanced over at Ryou, “Let’s go before we’re late. We don’t have time to be dealing with him.”
Yuugi smiled, glad that he didn’t have to walk alone. He then wondered where she lived but would it freak her out if he asked? She must live close but she looked to have come from his direction. Maybe she lived close to him? As they started walking he asked, “So did your first day go?”

Ryou cautiously walked past Ushio, keeping his eyes on him. He nodded at Naomi and walked away with her. He periodically peeked behind him. Eventually, he couldn't see Ushio anymore. When he was out of sight, Ryou asked, "Who was that, Naomi? How does he know you?" Ryou was obviously worried; this bulk of a bully basically threatened his friend.
Ushio growled, he let the two of them leave. He wouls discuss punishment of those two with his group, his 'clan' as he called them. However, he had to go to school, he had to take care of a 'bullying' problem.
Akiko saw the smile on his face, and that his face brightened up. "It went pretty well- no complaints," Akiko said. She took a bite of her pop-tart. She then broke off a big piece of it and handed it to Yuugi, "Want some?" she offered politely. She then smiled and asked, "You meantioned yesterday about games. So, do you have a favorite? What's your favorite game?" Akiko wanted to discuss one of her favorite topics.

Naomi glanced over her shoulder to see if Ushio really was out of sight. She sighed when she couldn’t see him and then turned to Ryou. “That is the biggest idiot at our school – Ushio.” she said, remembering Ryou probably didn’t know him. “We had a... couple of past run-in’s. That's all.”
((Akiko sounds like me with a pop-tart, lol))
“That’s good.” He said then looked at the piece of pop-tart she was offering him. He took it and said politely, “Thanks.” He broke off a small piece and nibbled on it. A smile broke on his face again when she started talking about games. “I like lots of games but mostly puzzles. I’m not a huge fan of video games but I play them sometimes at the arcade.” He looked at her, “What about you? Do you have a favorite?”

Ryou cracked a smile when she called him the biggest idiot. However, his concern was still there. "What do you mean by run ins?" Ryou aked worringly. He couldn't help it, Naomi was his friend- he didn't want her to be in danger.
"The ones I win at!" Akiko laughed aloud. "I'm kidding! I like board games, and word games are always fun," she said. She closed her eyes and thought of other games. "Puzzle games are fun, but I can get too fustrated sometimes. And card games- always fun. I play one mean game of BlackJack," she said. "Video games are classic. I could go on about those," she added.
[[yay pop-tart! haha. I do that with waffles- lol. I really do like games ^^. Except Stratego- screw Stratego! lol]]

“I got on his bad side a couple of times.” Naomi said. She had hoped Ryou would drop it when he smiled but he was a worry wart. Naomi didn’t mind though – better to have an over concerned friend than one who ignored you. “Don’t worry about it. He won’t do anything.” She smiled reassuringly.
Yuugi laughed at her joke. “Winning is always fun.” He said then thought of a game that Akiko hadn’t mentioned. She liked a lot of the games he did which was cool because he hardly met anyone who liked games other than video games. “Have you ever playing table-top RPG?” he asked.

Ryou could sense she didn't really want to get into it. "Well, if you saw it's ok," Ryou said. He would just have to take her word for it. He decided to drop it and bring up a new topic. "Did you do the history homework last night? It was the only thing we had," Ryou said. He tilted his head, maybe homework wasn't the best topic.
"Yea once. I was having fun, but the dungeon master was a real jerk. Not because of the game, he just acted so high above everyone. He was a Narcisstic, just like the Greek god Narcisius," she joked about the last part. "When it's RPG's, I tend to go more for the video games- but table top was nice," she said.

((Ah – I see. I love Monopoly but no one ever wants to play it anymore))
Naomi was glad Ryou decided to drop the Ushio thing. “Yes I did actually.” she said smiling. She’d gotten in late last night but she was still able to do her homework. “Did you do it?” She didn’t eve know why she asked that. Of course he did it – this was Ryou. He always did his homework. Usually.
He chuckled a bit at the joke. He’d only played it a couple of times but never truly got into RPGs. He tended to stay more so to puzzles and board games like that. “I was just asking because at my family’s shop, we sometimes get accessories for table-top RPG’s.” he said. “A new shipment is supposed to come in today so I’ll have to help out my grandpa.” He added.

Ryou nodded, "Yup, I did it. I'm glad you were able to." Before he could continue to a better conversation, he felt a pair of arms wrap around his stomach. "RYOU-KUN!!!" a squeeky voice said. It was those fangirls again. Ever since he moved here, there were these crazed girl who obsessed over him. He didn't understand why, they would talk about his hair and stuff. He hated when this happened- it was annoying. "Please get off of me," Ryou said politely but really meant it.
"That's right, you mentioned your family has a game shop," Akiko said as she put her hand to her chin. "You know, I saw a game shop on my way home yesterday..... Kame.... something," she said trying to remember. "That's good that you help your grandfather," she said then added in uncertainty, "that is..... if you get along with your grandpa." She wasn't sure if he did or not.

Naomi glared at annoying girl. Ryou always had these problems – random fangirls would run and grab him. Made Naomi want to hit every single one of them. “Hey, blondie – he said get off so shoo.” she stated.
“Kame Game Shop?” Yuugi said. “That’s my family’s store although we also live there.” He smiled a bit and nodded, “Yeah, we get along. It’s just that I’m not looking forward to sorting through boxes when I get home.”

"Nobody asked you, girl!" The fangirl snapped at Naomi. She began to run her fingers lovingly through his hair.
Ryou rolled his eyes; these girls were insane. Luckily, it was only one today. He slipped away from her and backed up. "Please leave me alone," he begged politely, not meaning to be mean.
"Ha! That's it! Oh wow, I pass by there from and too school. I'm not to far from there," Akiko said. "Heh, yea- that doesn't sound fun. But I'm sure your Grandpa will appreciate the help," she added. Akiko could see the school from where they were. "Did you do the homework yesterday?" she asked. She enjoyed Yuugi's company; he was great to talk to. It was probably because they shared the same interests.
