Princess_HaliJade Ya, I live on Okinawa, Japan. If you go to an American school we have bands, Kadena and Lester Middle, and the American high schools. The elementarys dont. Im not sure about the japanese bands though I live in Tokyo and I go to ASIJ we have some pretty good bands, our high school bands go to the International honors Jazz band and Band festivfals, but I'm just in the dinky middle school band, nothing special for us

I was watching the video i took a few years back on the Kansai Soka school band and they kicked a**! They memorized thier music and did horn flashes. Later i heard their band has won previous honors in a Japan band festival. Looks like my trip to Japan is approaching I hope that we put on a good show. We're going to perform at a parade and then perform at some highschools. We also get to do a marching demonstration. We're there to demonstrate how chairstep can be fun and just as rewarding as corps style. Most of what they know there about marchingbands in America comes from DCI and i dont blame them since DCI is awsome!

Well, my band is going to be playing something at a competition next year, though I have no idea what one it is. I'm from Scotland by the way, and I'm a member of the Renfrewshire Schools First Concert Band.

Whoo!! I'm from Scotland too.
We're doing a day in the Festival. The noncompetitive class so it gets pretty boring, I don't even get out of maths.
And sometime in June theres going to be another mass (concert) band. The Navy sets it up in a huge hall and try to recruit us. At least they did last time (2 years ago) There was just over 400 people last time and that was amazing. There will hopefully be even more since its the second time its happening.

My Band went to Western University, regionals in Collingwood, and to Ottawa for nationals where we went white water rafting.
