I think you're a bit confused. You must be thinking of Raoul's singing in "Think of Me". He says: "What a change, you're really not a bit the gawkish girl that once you were."

Ah, not Raoul's singing...It wasn't him. The origanal he could not completly get there. So I've heard..I was watching that insider's thing..I'm not sure what they mean.
I could have been mistaking..I haven't heard that song in a while. I am sorry for misleading. It sounded that way at first ear.
I should really shut up.

"Monsieur, I bid you welcome, did you think that I would harm her? Why should I make her pay for the sins which are yours" and my signiture quote and I'm listening to music of the night right now "silently the sences abandon their defences helpless to resest the notes I write"

Pretty much anything Raoul says in the book cracks me up, because he's just such a silly fop.
And whenever Erik talks about his grasshopper and scorpion. It just makes me giggle ^_^

" The angel sees; The angel knows..." very beginning of Prima Donna, Madame Giry.
I don't have the extended original cast version. But I do have the extended movie version so I'm not sure if that was just an add in for the moive...

Masqued MacyBlue " 'If you have no great attachment to your head,' she continued slowly, 'perhaps you would prefer to share the fate of a Chinese eunuch and carry your genitalia around with you in a small jar of brine.' [Erik] made a graceful shrug of mocking indifference. 'Are you so sure a small jar would contain me, madame?' "
-- From Phantom
I read that quote while I was at school. I started cracking up. It made my day! xd

These are a few that I liked from the Susan Kay novel.
"Hell's full of burning boats, did you know that Nadir?.. I daresay that's what makes it so bloody hot." -Erik
"But people will have been killed!" "Oh yes..I daresay that's quite likely. It's really quite difficult to be a murderer without killing people from time to time, you know." -Erik and Christine
A lot of my favorite ones from the original novel have already been taken, and I don't feel like repeating them.
