Hithromiel Kokihi Has someone actualy done that? Weve had someone who ran around in circles yelling "GET IT OFF!! GET IT OFF!! GET IT OFF!!!" cuz there was a bee on their pants. I remember one time last year when our band was playing in arcs outside during class, a bee landed on one of our flute player's hand, and she kept playing...then she got stung. After we finished the movement, she raised her hand and was like, "um, I just got stung by a bee, can I go to the nurse's office?" Thats detication When ever our BD wants us to go to attention he says: Band Stand By..... and then we hissssssssssssss and the he says BEN TUTEN HUT and we say HUT as loud as we can ninja

Kokihi hrsjmpr12 Dont to the wave across a row while awaiting what place in the top ten you got. haha. our band is so relaxed and chill you have no idea. we didnt even get in trouble. at the last comp we went to, the places were given after each division played, and the drum majors would ocasionaly bend their knees cuz it took a long time. and they started doing the wave with that. it was awesome. We aren't allowed to do anything fun at a compition no wave on name yelling no cheering (unless told otherwise) no claping ( also in that categorie) Also was that the san diego comp? because all the bands kept doing that and our majors and captians were up there and they were the only ones not doing it (Except our drum captain he did it and everyone in the band wanted to punch him) We did get first though. ninja

Our DM got stung once while holding attention...and aperantly..if he can do it...our director expects everyone in the band to do it.

things not to do
think you heard your bd calll you to attention and be the only (and loudest person in the band) to yell pride
don't spaz out cuase you had a bad itch.
don't start mouthing dirty things to one of your guy frined (both of you are straight as arrows) and your drum major can read lips.
don't hoot and make cat calls when your drum major takes of his jacket, or when someone bends over.

Things Not To Do At Attention:
Don't imitate sexual intercourse with a baritone and trombone.
Don't always yell 'Juice!' (It was something we had to say at the end of our show last year)
Don't try to catch the bird that landed on your plume at competition.

My section leader had a bee land on his trombone (at practice) so we where all "ahhhhhhhhhhhh... how cute!!! Aweks got a bumble be on his *****"

Our low brass is awesome. If we are on task, so is everyone else. If we are goofing off... Can u say... PLANKS! And push-ups.
U know what I hate???? Every one loves football, and they take care of the FOOTBALL field, but NO! They can't be bothered to water the MARCHING BAND field, or paint new lines, but peeps get fired for not repainting the FOOTBALL field. We have fire ants all over the MARCHING BAND field, but you can be sure that they spray the FOOTBALL field.
Once, low brass (we are one combined section, with multiple sections inside) was doing warm up, and i got my arms COVERED with fire ants...

oh my we are not allowed to move at attention! This one time we were in squads (small Groups to teach the basics lead by seniors) and out squad leader called us to attention. A bee decided to land on my hand, I was literally standing there for like 5 minutes with the bee crawling all over the inside of my hand. She finally called us down just for me so i could get it off.
she's like "Detail at ease! Nari get the bee off your hand.
talk about emarassing

woot I'm a clarinet=D anyway...ill think of some...
+~+don't answer your cell phone during a run-through o_o not in our band but another one i heard. flute
+~+scratch yourself what you THINK is inconspicuously with your clarinet
+~+don't play "sax-ball" with your saxophone and drill charts>_>
+~+when it's near the end of practice and the BD calls you to attention, don't laugh when the senior next to you says "bite me, johnson!"(ahh funny as hell though)
+~+don't laugh when you see a cicada attached to the butt of the person in front of you
+~+don't scream or move when you find out that you have a cicada on your on bottom>_>
I love marching band!>_>
I wanna be a drum major next year since they built a new school=)
