CJHeth Blackberry Sage Namida, CJ, just drop it already?
This was a freaking thread created from sarcasm. Just shut up, okay? This is just getting boring. I just did. I said I had nothing more to say. How is that not dropping it? neutral Shut up already, okay? It was tiring enough reading the first posts from you, as if I was going to read EVERYTHING else. You're just looking for a fight. And if you hadn't noticed, I told Namida to be quite, too.

Blackberry Sage You're just looking for a fight. No I just don't appreciate being ordered to do something I was already doing, simply because Namida decided to post again. Her behavior does not reflect upon me, and therefore, I don't think it's fair to yell at me for her continuance of a conversation. I will 'shut up' again now that I have made my feelings on the issue known, since once again, I have nothing further to say on the topic.

This was a freaking thread created from sarcasm. Just shut up, okay? This is just getting boring. xd Once again a conversations that go beyond simple agreement rejected. It's not like anyone here is being mean or rude (except for maybe you just now, randomly butting in telling people to shut up and discontinue their conversations than never were addressed to you), so I don't see what your objection is. You seem to have a lot against me carrying actual conversations in this guild. neutral Plus, if it's boring to you, just don't read it, ne?

And if you hadn't noticed, I told Namida to be quite, too. This question is not intended to sound rude, it is an honest question. What exactly gives you the authority to just go around telling people to shut up? I also do not like being told what to do, especially if I have done nothing wrong. Nor do I like the fact that I can't talk to anyone anywhere in this guild, it seems, without you jumping on me telling me to stop talking. neutral If anyone is looking for a fight, I'd guess it to be the one who just randomly jumps in telling people to shut up. I wasn't aware that I was doing anything but having an innocent conversation (talking with CJ about Mana popularizing Lolita and trying to figure out why she says she doesn't like him for "ruining a color"), until you jumped in with abrasive comments, acting as though CJ and I had just murdered someone. You just jumped in telling people to shut up, and you didn't even bother to read the whole conversation? confused Again, who is trying to start a fight here?

I wasn't "telling" you to shut up, I was asking you to. See, there is a question mark at the end of "Just shut up, okay?". I'm tired of seeing people arguing about stupid crap on here. It gets us no where, takes up space, and just creates a very uneasy atmosphere in a place that should be fun. And please, do tell me what comments I procured that were "abrasive". I see no harsh rudeness in my words. I think you're just taking this further than it needs to. If "shut up" was what you saw as harsh then believe me, there are far more hurtful things I could have said, but didn't because they weren't needed and I was just asking you two to drop it. CJ had already gotten in trouble once in this thread. Oh, and also, what other times have I been against you carring on a conversation? I'm not even here that much, and I don't recall ever bashing you for talking? You must be mistaken. The End.

Blackberry Sage I wasn't "telling" you to shut up, I was asking you to. See, there is a question mark at the end of "Just shut up, okay?". And this makes it so much more a polite thing to say when you're just jumping into the middle of two people's conversation? Okay, sorry, to answer your question:
No, I'd rather not "just shut up" just because you think my conversation (which wasn't even addressed to, or otherwise involving you), is interesting, and are under the delusion that it is some kind of fight. There smile I'm tired of seeing people arguing about stupid crap on here. 1) CJ and I were not "arguing" in the sense of fighting, a bad thing. I was trying to find out exactly why it is she said that she did not like Mana. (i.e. "I still don't see why you would say that he ruined a color."). Also, I was talking to her about Mana popularizing Loli. (i.e."I do believe he played a big role in it then, and even today (as you said yourself, he is a lot of people's first exposure to Lolita"). What, you have some sort of problem about people discussing their opinions in an opinion-discussing thread now? Define "argue". No need, I'll do it for you:
Argue: 1. to present reasons for or against a thing 2. to contend in oral disagreement; dispute 3. to state the reasons for or against etc.
There were no profanity, insults, impoliteness or anything of the like thrown around. Therefore, I don't see what your problem with "arguing" is. Unless you're willing to confirm what I said in that once again any discussion beyond simple agreement is rejected. 2) Just because you don't like the conversation two people are having doesn't give you a right to try and stop them from talking.
3) Since you don't like seeing it so much, have you tried not looking? smile It gets us no where, Maybe it gets you nowhere, but for me "arguing" (in the "to state the reasons for or against" sense) gives me a better understanding not only of other people's opinions, but of their opinions in relation to my, and their points of views. takes up space, So now in the Loli guild or TOS rules, there's some sort of "taking up space" rule that I was in violation of? And somehow because you didn't find my conversation interesting, it has no more right to be here than,"Tru dat. (but seriously, I love Mana. But not in an OMGMANA! way. But more like an "Aw, its Mana. What a cool guy." way.)", therefore it is irrelevant and "taking up space"? and just creates a very uneasy atmosphere in a place that should be fun. I wasn't aware of any uneasy atmosphere until you posted asking people to "shut up" (note how no one was saying anything to the affect of an uneasy atmosphere before your post) and making a big deal of an otherwise innocent discussion (just because you're under the impression it's some kind of "fight"), trying to stifle other people's right to speak. Like I said before, if anyone is looking for a fight, I'd guess it to be the one who just randomly jumps in asking people to "shut up".And please, do tell me what comments I procured that were "abrasive". 1) "Namida, CJ, just drop it already?", as if you have some sort of right to just jump in and decide when people's conversation should end.
2) "Just shut up, okay?" Posing "just shut up" as a question does not make it any more polite.
3) "I told Namida to be quite, too" Because I need you to tell me when I'm allowed to speak? Also, this goes to assert what I was saying before about you "telling" people to shut up. You said you were innocently asking me to shut up, but here you are saying you "told" me to be quite. Before this the only thing that you had said that related to the stifling of words was the phrase shut up.
4) "It was tiring enough reading the first posts from you" Insulting someone by saying their posts were "tiring" is abrasive (especially since you didn't have to say that), and abrasive and insulting are conducive to an uneasy atmosphere. Plus you said this as if once you said “shut up“ CJ was just supposed to obey, and had no right to say anything back to you. neutral
Again I‘d like to note that the only comments that have come about an uneasy atmosphere, i.e. “drama“, didn‘t come until after your post.I see no harsh rudeness in my words. (see above) I think you're just taking this further than it needs to. No, I‘m just letting you know that you have no right to try and terminate other people‘s conversations, just because you don‘t like them. What if I think you are taking it too far by doing that to begin with? If "shut up" was what you saw as harsh then believe me, there are far more hurtful things I could have said, but didn't because they weren't needed and I was just asking you two to drop it. (see above) And why is it that you needed to say anything at all? Again I‘d like to point out that the only comments that indicate an uneasy atmosphere have come after your post. I think you‘ve rather caused the thing you were posting to try and “end“ (“end“ being used loosely, because something has to actually exist before it can “end“).CJ had already gotten in trouble once in this thread. And that means I should “shut up“ why? Plus, just out of curiosity, what exactly was CJ doing wrong that would lead you to even bring that up? She was talking to me, and I have no complaints about her or the way she addressed me, and I didn‘t see that she was breaking any rules.Oh, and also, what other times have I been against you carring on a conversation? I'm not even here that much, and I don't recall ever bashing you for talking? You must be mistaken. taking into consideration that there aren’t a lot of threads I ‘argue’ in, and this is the only thread on the first page where I make something other than an passive comment. Take a look at this: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=9781249&page=1 (..and talk about your everyday “argument”)The End.

It was enjoyable reading other's opinions <3I know what you mean! biggrin Are you also someone who believes that there's a difference between argument and debate? To me argument is like a fight (irrational, and/or insulting and profane discussion), and debate is reasonable discussion. I like to fancy myself more of a debater, because I realize I won't get my point across if I behave irrationally. I'll tell ya, Gerry Spence shed light on my ideas about debate.
