"I hadn't planned on giving you money," Zeke said calmly, though slightly alarmed by Bane's outburst. He had apparently not seen it was her. "I was just inquiring to make sure this was where you lived, Bane," she said. She shot a quick glance inside his house, only seeing darkness. "And I approve, if you care what I think." She thought for a moment, thinking of the best way to fool him into thinking she'd come to apologize for her behaivor earlier on the rooftop. She set a small fake smile on her face and looked at him.

"I was simply stopping by to apologize for my previous behaivor. I have the slightest tendency to get carried away," Zeke took a small bow, smirking where he couldn't see, then looked back up at him. "I send you only my deepest apologizes, Bane."

Bane stared at her for a second, his eyebrows raising, before saying,"Fine... Whatever... I don't mean to be rude, but I am really in a hurry..."

He glanced behind him, checking to see if Raven had come out, before glancing back at Zeke. His right hand came up, scratching the back of his neck as he simply stared at Zeke, wondering vaguely if he could leave, while also making sure the book in his pocket had not fallen out.

"I hope this book is the original... I'll need that book, if it is the original.", he thought, his cold grey eyes clouding over as he leaned into the door frame of his house.

Raven Finished unpacking and then once she had changed into her black dress that had once been her mother's she repacked her bag. Leaving it on the bed, she made her way out the door. Assuming she was taking the same path Bane had she walked high hoped into the main hallway.

Just ahead she saw Bane standing at the door talking to someone. She didn't want to b rude so she stood in the shadows and played with a little fire ball in her hand delighted by it's light. She smiled, and caught herself staring at the back of bane's head. " He is so handsome," she thought to herself.

Zeke stared at Bane, wondering why he was just standing there. "By all means, leave if you're in a hurry, it is your house," she said, stepping aside. She caught sight of a dim light in Bane's dark hallway. She peered in, and could make the vague outline of someone. To Zeke it seemed she was holding a candle, but with the people in this city, one can never be sure.

She turned her attention back to Bane, taking another small step away, giving him room to leave. Let's see, when he leaves, he's bound to leave something unlocked at his house. Or maybe that person inside can let me in. All I have to do is say I'm a close friend of Bane's and they'd probably open up with joy. Hah! Zeke thought deviously. All she had to do now is wait for Bane to get on his merry way.

Nadie’s eyes flew open “DAMN…” she said to herself… she jumped up fist clenched. She saw who Bane was looking at, Zeke. If Zeke did start anything Nadie was going to have a lot of paper work to do along with a big clean up and recovery and press. “damn.” she said to herself again. She was moving to the her closet and stopped. If he took off now he could get here and Zeke would not be allowed to pass through the gates of the manor, she would have to have been invited.

The Desdemona manor had a wide range of protection. From high teach gadgets to old school magic from the East. Her father was a notable figure and there family seemed to be a target for others curiosity. There family, unlike others did not feed on the blood of humans. They avoided it at all cost, they refused to be animals of there instincts. Instead they feed off the blood of animals, they would have eaten animals if they were human so in this life they feed off the animal blood.

come on Bane got out of there… take flight if you have to… it will be easier to do paper work on that then if you two get into a rumble… she was in her closet throwing on a pair of fitted black straight legged pants and a light blue fitted tank before she had even finished her thoughts. Over the blue tank she threw a fitted suit jacket and then a pair of black stiletto knee high boots. She was back at her desk… why hadn’t he made up his mind yet… her hand on the phone come on get out of there this was the most nerves she had been in centuries.

Bane rolled his eyes, before turning stepping out, and snapping the door shut behind him, not even looking at the door, as he slid the key into the lock. Turning towards it, he pulled out his knife, and drove it into the locking mechanism, making it impossible to move.

He grinned once at Zeke, before spreading his wings wide, and shooting into the air, gaining almost fifty feet in a second, before shooting off in the direction of the Desdemona Manor.

"Good thing I brought the only truly important item with me....", Bane thought, as he skittered across the hot air that floated up off the city, the metal rings in his jacket rattling eerily in the wind.

Two minutes later, he was over the gate to the Manor, and slowly floated down, landing softly in front of it, and folding his wings behind him, his grey eyes glinting in the darkness.

Nadie’s eyes turned gray, he had left and was headed here. No conflict for now. hum… what book? Why was it so important? she would hopefully find out later. She descended down the grand marble white steps, two floors to be exacta and walked at her normal pace across the grand entrance hall, her footsteps not making a sound and opened the front door. He had just land. She took in his wing span and now understood how a family of them could easily take on a jet of that caliber. “Welcome…” her voice silky smooth, her big deep blue eyes not leaving his gray ones and she moved aside allowing him to enter the manor.

Bane nodded, quietly saying, a grin on his face,"Hello, Nadie."

He stepped inside, glancing once around the inside of the manor once, before turning his attention back to Nadie, returning to his normal cold facade, and saying,"Well.. Lead on...."

He gestured, slightly stepping out of Nadie's path, a small smirk sliding across his face, his wings rustling and causing the rings to once more rattle.

She took her eyes off him for less then a second to close the door, not needing to lock it because it did it itself. She turned back around and headed for the stairs, slowing her normal pace down so he wouldn’t have to run after her. His steps echoed around the large entry hall and she wondered when if ever was the last time the hall had a sound of that sort. She seemed to almost gliding effortlessly across the remaining portion of the floor and the first set of steps. The steps reached a landing and then split off spiraling to the left and to the right. She had descended from the right hand side, but she led him up the left.

They climbed there way up to the third floor and Nadie opened the first door on the right hand side walking through it first and holding it open for him to follower her through, then shut it the door gave a little click. Nadie turned around leading him through what seemed to be a new maze of corridors with more corridors and doors leading off on both sides. When at the end of the corridor she took a left and opened a deep crimson and gold door and held it open for Bane to follow in after her. Again she closed the door and it gave a little click. This time they stood in a well furnished room. There was a small bar in the left had corner of the room, all the walls seemed to be made of bookshelves covered in book of all shapes and sizes, some looking as if ready to meet there makers. Nadie motioned for Bane to sit in on of the to over stuffed crimson chairs in front of a cherry wood desk. Nadie took her place behind it tapping on the desk and a laptop the same color of the desk rose somewhere from within the desk, she looked at him waiting to answer any of his questions to the best of her abilities.

Zeke smiled politely at Bane as he slammed the knife into the lock. She waved as he took off, then turned back to his door. She glanced over her shoulder, making sure he was out of sight, then she yanked the knife from the lock. She threw it aside and examined the ruined mechanism. She smirked, then placed her palm on it. Ice crept slowly, devouring the lock both inside and out. She removed her palm, then took a step back. She kicked the frozen lock, shattering it to pieces. A pleased smile flashed across her face as she opened the door slowly. She took a step inside the darkness, toward the small flame that still flickered in the silhouette's hand.

"Hello, there. My name is Izeekiel, may I ask what I may call you?" she said pleasently, putting on her most angelic smile.

Bane walked along, following Nadie, his eyes constantly flickering across every detail of the hallways. He liked this place, its seemingly dark aura, combined with an odd imitation of life. When they came across the Crimson door, and entered the room, he smiled at the musty smell of old books, and the deeply colored room.

Sitting down on the edge of the chair he had been offered, he carefully brushed his left hand across his jacket, making sure the package there was secure, before looking at Nadie. He smiled lightly, and said quietly, his wings shuffling,"Well. This is as magnificent a building as could be expected. Now... What exactly was the business you wanted to discuss?"

His head tilted slightly to the left, as though he was studying her, though his eyes never stayed on her for more than a second, as they flicked about the room, investigating every book, and object within sight.

An amused slime crept across her face as she watched his eyes flickering around the room, but she pressed forward with the question he had asked her. “well it is quite simple, I along with my father work for the mayor of this little town, I more or less am suppose to be keeper of the peace which means that I have to make sure there are no disturbances.” she paused a moment before going on. “seeing there was a close call early this evening between yourself and Zeke and decided to talk to you first…” she studied his face while she spoke. You could read the hardship he had seen all over his face, though it seemed he tried to hid it with his long mangled hair.

“you seem to be a bit more on the reasonable side then Zeke, she is a bit vengeful.” her brain going over Zeke’s file. “so I ask that at all costs you keep peace between yourself and Zeke and further more extend a hand of protection for yourself… and ask that you do not return to your home because in fact your little lock has been broken. If there is anything that is needed from your home, please do tell me and I will have it brought here. That is if you do comply?” her eyes where focused and unreadable her deep blue eyes had traces of gray.

Bane leaned back into the chair, listening carefully to her words, rubbing the back of his neck with his right hand. He smiled slightly, as he said slowly,"No... There is nothing I need there... I will do my best not to put myself in danger of her, though that may be hard since it seems she desires to fight me."

"Hmm... Already broken my lock... Well thats to be expected", he thought, rubbing at the back of his neck again, before quietly saying,"I'll do as you wish. I know you don't want too much human attention... It's not good for our health."

Slowly he pushed himself up from his seat, patting his jacket to check for the book again, before glancing around at all the books, and saying,"I assume that some of these are exceedingly ancient. I've been looking for the original of a book for a long time, and I was wondering if I could investigate your books.... You may have it."

She watched him. Then was highly pleased with his answer… too pleased… what was wrong with her. “you may look at any of the books you wish, we have a larger library, these are mostly our family finance books” she looked over the books quickly. It was amusing that all of the walls were covered with finance books and the fact that behind her there was a hidden door that opened to another room that was partly filled with more of these books. “ but I do ask one thing, that you stay here for at lest a few days so we can keep an eye on Zeke, one of my associates has volunteered to talk to her. She seemed more egger to talk to one of her own kind.” Nadie rose from the chair and waited for him to answer. “you also need not worry if you stay here… none of us are interested in being savage animals to feed upon your blood, but I expect you already do know that. Also she will not be able to reach you here.” she stopped herself she would explain more if he asked. She was slightly surprised how much personal interest she had taken in this case.

Bane smiled, taking a step towards the books, even though they were not what he was looking for, quietly saying,"So that makes you at the very least a third as old as my research says you are."

He grinned, before rubbing the back of his neck nervously, and saying,"I'll stay as long is as required. Now if you wouldn't mind, could you show me to the library, Please?"

He stepped out of Nadie's path bowing his head, as he once more nervously rubbed his left hand across the front of his jacket, checking on his package, which he still had not gotten a chance to investigate.
