"Is this how all shinigamis act? Why are they so harsh with each other?" Kaela said just under her breath, enough for the girl next to her to hear. She felt like she was seeing a book being played out and worried that she wouldn't even be able to keep up. It seems things would keep getting more interesting. For this student who has yet to have her zanpaktou, what part would she play?

::Medixia quickly grabs Haro by the collar and gives it a yank. She utilizes what strength her body has, primarily in her weight which would normally be a disadvantage against the larger man. In his state however, she should rather easily overpower him. She makes sure to drag him to the floor before giving him a stern look and...kicking his side. She's near enough his wound it should send a tremor of pain up and down his spine, but she doesn't kick it directly as to not cause any more bleeding.::

You behave. Kaosu's not dumb. If you listen to his tone, you'd know exactly what is going on.

::She rubs the back of her head as she watches the seemingly madman antics rage. It's obvious who the victor in this fight would be. She kneels down and pulls another prepared piece of bark from her satchel. As the one she used with Saigo, this has a special combination of salves and herbs to aid in sealing a wound, recovering blood loss, and regenerating tissue. It's not kidou, but it'll do the job.::

Oi! Hikari! If you'd use that chiyu again, it would be a real help.

::With a sigh, she looks back to Haro. If he can't tell by now, he's not exactly behaving as she'd like. She's got a nasty bedside manner when she's not in the best of moods.::

Sometimes a misbehaving brat just needs to be taught a lesson. Besides. You're a man. Didn't think I'd have to tell ya 'bout fights for pride and all that garbage.

arrow Saigo

Saigo can only watch as the strange man bursts into the room. His boasting... She almost scoffs at how it reminds her of Jigoku. Were there really people like this in Seireitei? At least it got attention off of her for the moment. Maybe Shunketsu and Kaosu would forget their questioning her, especially the...complicated story of how she had been sent by Aikou as one of his warriors. She can only watch as things unfold before her, from a medical woman calling a little girl to help her...to the little girl using a kidou as a healing spell!

arrow Hikari

Hikari can only blink and watch as the entire...fiasco breaks out. As the offensive man shows arrogant pride, she feels something unfamiliar. She knows the bloodlust all too well, but the desire to tear every piece of flesh from his body so that nothing remains... She usually desired to keep strong sparring partners around. She usually only wanted to kill and render hollow to lifeless meat sacks. Not her thoughts per say... Sumizome's really. Hikari, nonetheless, is already reaching to separate katana from sheath and call her shikai when she hears Medixia's voice. "Hai... Ban-chan." She quickly stands and wanders over to Haro's supine body.

With a deep breath, she easily recites the incantation for the first chiyu. "Great whales, white and gray, spurting water of the living from holes of mammals, healing the scalding words of the wise. Chiyu no Ichi, Ichiban a Chiyu." She can only hope that her second casting will have an added effect on Haro's healing. She looks at him for a moment before turning her attention to Medixia. She leans down to whisper something to him. "You should really listen to Ban-chan, Sukonku-baka. I don't think she likes watching people bleed and die." It's a rather...obvious statement.

Tsai finally arrives at the medical ward. He had taken his time walking over from the west gate to the ward enjoying the brief ceasefire between the two forces. He opened the door to the ward and entered, it was quite lively for a place where people were to be treated for injuries and what not. It seemed that some sort of argument was going on. Tsai observed a few of the faces in the room spotting several familiar ones. "..." he did not say much when he entered, he slowly closed the door as the conversation between a new face and Kaosu began. Tsai silently walked over to a chair and sat down observing them without going over to greet them. Something was happening here, tension maybe? "Hmm? What's happening here?" Tsai wondered.

It's noisy. That's my first observation. A man bursts into a medical ward full of noise and fury... How did that old play go? ...signifying nothing. Was there really anything he could do or say to change anything? Shaking my head, I sigh as I spy two girls along my path. Further observations show that the furious man is nearly immediately followed by another, probably made furious by something said. It didn't really matter if anybody were to say a word to me. My eyes glaze over to show a lack of interest. I supposed I could be taken as quite aloof at this point, even as I sit under a tree's shade with a tremendous thud. With another sigh, I angle my eyes, keeping my gaze down, so I can keep an observation over the procedings. Being something of gaint, I can only guess attention will, if only eventually, be drawn my way. That ruby on the hilt of my zanpakutō might be too much an attention grabber, of course. I swear that's annoying...

Kaosu's eyes narrowed. He didn't want to back off. No, he wanted to slam the big-mouthed boy into his place. He watched Haro being dragged off, and he looked back over.

"He will learn his place today." He unsheathed his zanpakutuo, face incredibly stern, blue eyes piercing towards the noble. "What does the honorable coward say, hmm?" He flared his reiatsu outwards, whipping his clothes about, hair flying everywhere.

"Will you accept my challenge? I'll even fight unarmed, if it pleases you."

Tensions were definitely flaring up between the nobleman and Kaosu (who was technically a nobleman, but well, he wasn't really born into it ._. so he's on a whole different class). Tsai still didn't speak as he saw Haro being carried off at the corner of his eye. "First we have a major battle with the peasants of Soul Society, now we have a battle going on here amoungst our own ranks. This may be the end of Soul Society as we know it," Tsai chuckled silently to his joke showing only a smile as he watched the two continue their 'conversation'. It would be interesting to see how much Kaosu had gained while Tsai was in the mortal world but against a nobleman like the one infront of him, with such a small trace of reiatsu compared to most of the people in the room, it would be overkill even if Kaosu was unarmed. Tsai was prepared to stop the fight if one was to break out. A few others in the room would to. Knowing Kaosu, he'd probably throw a punch or two at the nobleman as soon as he decided to accept the challenge and strike forward. It was bad enough that we had suffered casualties, now our morale was starting to drop as well.

Kenji felt it Kaosu's Reiatsu he knew it and rushed inside until he saw the fight begging. "What Kaosu whats going on?" He said standing there not even in a fighting stance he was wondering why his friend had drawn his own Zanpakutuo.

The man stopped, but didn't turn around. "Stop your blabbing, Braggart-The fact that you would fight me here shows your in-ability to accept the truth-That you are nothing without wishing to show off your non-existant skill. Had you shown that same spirit before, Perhaps NONE of those in the Rukongai would have DIED!!!"

The man finally made a motion, reaching for his sword, and the wind began to pick up. The tensity in the air, as Reiatsu silently flooded the ground beneath his feet, made the soon-to-be battleground, "Or is that all you are-One who would merely fight those that he believes provoke less of a challenge? If that be the case, you are truly a coward indeed-For while men, women and children bleed in the streets, you brandish your sword before a man who would give his life to save those of lesser rank. Cowardice know no better name than yours." And as he turned, about to drop into stance, he heard a voice, softly upon the wind-But it was not one that others could hear...it was one meant for none but his own ears. A voice from his past, a memory from the back of his mind, began to play through his ears, as a familiar face now gone from sight flashed before his eye's...that of a beautiful red-haired vixen

"You love it here, don't you?"

And as the memory surged through him, he let out a light gasp, a name barely audible to anyone passing his lips for but a moment...

"Saiyuri..."

And at that moment, he felt the heat leave his anger, looking down at his sword. He seemed to study it, as if it were some alien object...examining the chips and nicks along the blade, the light layer of rust decorating much of the sword. "How many battles...has this sword seen, before it came to one such as I...?" The question wasn't asked to anyone in particular-It was more...a pondering thought, one that seemed to baffle his mind in that moment of clarity. Truly, this sword could have found a better owner...and yet, it chose him. Why? Was it a gift from God? No...that was a name that he had long since been spoken with revere...now it was but a word he used in spiteful contempt. There was no God...the world was empty of such a force. Perhaps...it was merely happenstance. Some mistaken act of fate. But he no longer believed in fate, either. There was no such thing...there was only the here, and the now. Fate was a tool used by the almighty, once...but God had since left this plane. What sense was there in watching over those who would gladly slaughter one another without just cause, merely because of a simple belief that they believed would move the masses to their will?

As the man finally finished the inspection of his sword, he began to raise it up-Pointing at the one who would dare challenge him. "Quiet your tongue of this ill-manner of speech. If you wish to rouse anger with me, I will no longer comply. There is no sense in slaughtering one another, when these blades were meant to spare the innocent of pain." And with that, he lowered his sword, returning it to it's sheath. "A man is only as noble as his actions dictate...And I will not sully my hands with offenses just because another man's foolhardy sense of honor was tarnished." And with that, he tugged at his robes, slowly turning on his heel. "You'd do well...just to stay out of my path." And without a second glance, he began walking forward once again...Perhaps there was still a part of him that was the Wind Emperor left, the part that tried to make him Noble. But all he ruled was a house full of thieves and b*****d children-Though he would never deem them to be such. They were his people...his friends...his brothers and sisters...They were his family, once...But lo would be the day he ever considered these honor-bound fools worthy of his trust...or at least, so he believed...

Kaosu blinked a moment. Somehow the man made sense...but it still made him incredibly irritated. "I don't challenge those below me without reason. Your head stands too high from the rest of your body, scum." He spat on the ground in front of him, and then continued.

"This is what I think of your friggin' honor. You want to know what happened? You weren't there. I came in after it happened. If you want to blame any man for what happened, blame the damned people who attacked us! And, as I recall, you weren't on the battlefield! You saved no lives, you loud-mouthed hypocrite! While we defended everything you call home, while you sat on your high a**, we were sweating and fighting!"

He took a few more steps forward, letting his various scars speak for him. "Do you want to speak cowardice? How about a man who says things that he does not truly mean; things he cannot truly do!" His face contorted into that of rage, this man...he wanted to run him through so badly!

"If I can't do it, there's no damned way in hell a scrawny, pampered aristocrat like you can do a damned thing against people who are a challenge to our own captains!"

"And damned if I will leave you alone. You talk about honor, hmm? How honorable is it to insult a man and then walk away? Isn't that cowardice?" He unsheathed his zanpakutou with a metallic hiss, eyes narrowed.

"Your the embodiment of everything you despise, you stupid noble. Coward. You walk away, hunh? It's because you can't do anything, hunh? Useless b*****d."

He waved at the retreating figure with his weapon, turning around. "Anytime, noble. I'll be waiting."

Kenji walked over to Kaosu. "Don't let thouse nobles get under your skin my friend it's not worth it one day we will get them but for now we have more pressing matters like dealing with this new threat, we have much work ahead of us."

Just as quick as it had begun it faded, the tensions in the room were slowly dropping. Perfect timing too, there would be no fights between the ranks. "Ai...ya.... I've heard of nobles being stuck up snobs, but this one, he tops the charts". Tsai smacked his own forehead slightly. He then got up from the chair he had been sitting on and walked over to Kaosu approaching him from behind. He patted the man's back. "That should be enough don't you think, Kaosu?" he asked as he crossed his own arms and watched as the man walked away. "Don't want to make this situation worst than it already is," Tsai continued. A smirk grew on his face. "If your that eager to fight, I'll take you," he commented trying to change the subject, possibly taking Kaosu's mind off the man plus, it had been a long time since they had sparred or at least seen each other. A few weeks almost, possibly a month, Tsai didn't know, he had lost track of the time ever since he went to the real world. There were also quite a few new faces in the ward, a few shinigami he had not met or even seen before.

Haro growled as he felt his collar being pulled back by Medixia. He had done absolutely nothing wrong, so it was kind of baffling as to why he was being pulled backwards like this. He had only been gently grabbing Kaosu's shoulder and tellign him that he should not be like this, and then she took him back so violently and kicked him?! What was her problem, he had needed balance so he had gripped a little tighter, but that was the only thing he was guilty of. He felt the kick as if it were a truck running over his rib-cage. He was injured and she was going to do this for trying to prevent conflict!? His anger flared as he lay on the ground, but it turned into nothing but sorrowful frustrations. Why did he seem to be pushed back by the peers around him, it seemed Kaosu was his only friend, and it had seemed that they drifted apart since how they used to be. He shook his head as he looked at the scar on his hand with now disgust...what a silly thing he had done. He looked around him and then down to his black skin once again and he shook his head as he stared at everyone around him, especially up at Medixia. "I have done nothing!" He screamed as he finally gained his wit. "I know exactly what is going on, and we need not figh amidst ourselves right now. It's a hard time and mouthy brat or not, eventually he will realize by himself that he is nothing compared to us except what he preaches....a coward. He doesn't need that beaten into him, and I sure as hell don't need to be beaten for trying to keep peace around here." He yelled as he slammed his fist into the floor with frustration, the tiles cracking and a loud snap sounding out as his index and ring finger's both snapped in half. He gritted his teeth and he shook his head. "Pardon me." He said with venom in his voice as he stood up and brushed past her, his shoulder roughly knocking against hers as he walked to the other side of the room.

Kaosu turned, and with the same scowl on his face, he nodded. "Anything to relieve what I was about to do to..." He pointed in the general direction. "...that thing." He spat, and ran a hand through his hair.

"You know, we haven't really had a decent spar in...a while. Why not?" He smiled thinly, and winked. "We all know you'll beat me down in a few. Let's see how this goes, neh?"
