He stopped in front of the doctors house. The doctor was already standing at his door from the commotion. Hero dropped to his knees since he was very tired by now and still bleeding. He still carried Kittie in his arms.
"Sir...I beg of you to help this girl. I know that I've done many things to the village...but this girl is innocent. She needs your help." Hero said as he looked up at the old man.
The doctor brushed his hand down his beard and looked at Hero, but still didn't say a word. The villagers yelled and waved their hands at Hero, telling him to leave and cursing at him.
Hero looked down at the ground.
"I'll trade my life for her's...you can do whatever you want to me...but save her." Hero said as he closed his eyes.
"Very well...I'll leave you to the villagers. As for this girl, I'll make sure she returns to health." he motioned his hand as his assissants came out but did not go near Hero. They waited until he put her on the ground before carrying her into one of the rooms. The doctor sighed and walked into the building closing the door.
"Melody...you should go back home...but if you don't have a home...you can stay with Kittie. She might need help in this world."he got up and walked to the crowd of villagers. One of the men grabbed his head and shoved him to the ground. The hard ground scraped most of his face as more people ran up and tied his hand behind his back. They started spatting as someone pulled him up and lead him to a post at the village's center. They tied him to the post and went about their business.

"Idiots..." Melody mumbled from under neath her breath. She got off Romeo's back and went inside to go see Kittie who was lying on a bed. Parts of her flesh were ripped off and blood was everywhere. The doctor and the nurses began to put needles through her body to get fluids back into her body.
Romeo went and laid down by the wolf demon who was tied to the post. Soon Romeo fell asleep and the vines on his tail and neck began getting there colors back.
Back in the doctors office, the doctor along with the nurses where trying everything possible to save Kittie but she had lost to much blood, flesh, and on top of all that she had gotten some poisoning.
"She might not be able to make it, sweetie." One of the nurses said to Melody. Melody stayed quiet and the nurse soon left to go back and help the doctor.
During nightfall the doctors and nurses went home and let Melody stay with Kittie. Romeo stayed up guarding the wolf demon from any attempt of a human attacking him.
As Melody began to fall asleep and her little green eyes began to close, slowly she heard something. Everything was silent and after a few seconds of analyzing the sound she knew it was coming from Kittie. That sound was the sound of tears and pain.
"Shh, it's okay. You're not alone anymore. Everything will be alright." Melody said while putting her little hand of Kittie's forehead. With the warmth of Melody's hand on Kittie's forehead she calmed down and whispered that name she would always whisper at night. The name of the demon in her dreams, the one that scared for more than anything. She whispered "Hero..."
Melody covered her mouth and giggled a little at the whispered name. She whispered Kittie's name a few times. Kittie could hear her name being called out and she opened her eyes to the soft voice that called her. "Lets go meet someone?" Melody said with a smile. "M-Melod---" Melody didn't let Kittie finished saying her name. She was already helping Kittie out of the bed. "Come on, Hero needs you, you silly girl." Kittie nodded and stood up with the help of little Melody.
Romeo's ears twitched as she saw two figures standing under the moonlight, facing his way. One was a short figure and one was a tall one, who seemed to be standing with the help of the shorter figure. As the shadow got slower, Romeo knew that they were Kittie and Melody. The vines on his tail cut the ropes that tied the wolf demon to the post and then he started to lick the wolf demon's face.
Melody let Kittie stand on her own as she stared at the wolf demon who was just a few feet away from her. She just wanted to run to him and hold him in her arms but she couldn't. Melody looked at Kittie as she just stood there, while Romeo looked at the wolf demon.

Hero could feel Romeo licking his face and the sound of people come, but he was so tired. The grip that held his two hand behind his back loosen as his hands slumped to the cold ground. He tried to lift up his head, but it weighed so much and his shoulder was in pain.

Romeo stood in front of the wolf demon and began licking his hands. Melody helped Kittie walk to where he lay. Between Melody and Kittie they were able to put the wolf demon on Romeo's back.
The towns people were all peaking through their windows to see what was going on but none came out to help.
They walked back to the doctors office and placed him gently on a clean bed that Kittie had finished putting fresh sheets on. She got some of the doctors equipment and antibiotics to heal the wolf demon. Melody and Romeo were in charge of cleaning his wounds while Kittie bandaged him up.

The doctor rushed in after an assitant told him. He stood at the doorway of the room huffing and staring at them.
"You cannot bring that thing in here. Its a demon and bring bad luck. Get him out of here before the village comes and burn down this building. GET HIM OUT." he yelled and waved his hands frantically.
Hero heard the outburst of the doctor. It woke him up with startle. He noticed that he was in the doctor's home and quickly stood up. He looked at the people around him frightened and ran out the door.

"The only thing that will bring bad luck to you so called humans, will be your stupidness and greed." Melody said with hate as she spoke.
Romeo ran after the wolf demon and Kittie along with Melody followed him.

It was almost dawn, as he ran as fast as he could all the way back to the cave where he lived. Hero made it to the entrance and leaned against the wall gasping for air. He was soaked in his own sweat and some of his injuries began to bleed again, but his shoulder hurted more then anything else. He stumbled inside and laid down on his hard bed staring at the ceiling. The villagers might come get him someday, since he had ran away and commited the crime of stepping into someone's home. Demons were seen as a sin and people will find any excuse to kill them.

Romeo walked over to the wolf demon and began licking his face. Melody helped Kittie walk to the entrance of the cave where she was set down to breath. Melody then walked over to the wolf demon and looked at him. "Are you okay?"

"I suppose...I can stay here. The villagers will come..." he sat up and places his hand on his forehead. Hero sighed and walked over to the corner of the cave and picked up a large basin of water and throw a tiny rag in and brought it over to Kittie to clean herself with. "Thank you...." he said quietly and turned away.

"Don't worry about the villagers for now. Romeo and I will protect you, and Kittie will to, right Kittie?" She looked over at Kittie and gave her a big smile. Kittie nodded and then took the tiny rag to clean the blood that was on her face.
Romeo laid down by the side of the wall and Melody was against his soft fur, already asleep. Kittie turned to see the stars while leaning back against the side of the cave.

There was a spare blanket on his head he used to cover Melody with it. He also had an old fur cloak he rarely used and handed it to Kittie.
"You can sleep on the bed. I'll sleep outside and guard." he walked outside and sat down leaning against the wall near the entrance and kept an eye at the plains below.

"...You can hardly keep balance." Kittie said as she went outside and sat next to him. Without saying a anything she put the blanket of him as well as herself.

"You should talk for yourself. I didn't get stab in the chest. You should go inside before you catch something." He said without looking at her. His eyes kept its place at the grassing moving to the wind. The only source of light was the crescent moon and stars.

There was a long pause before Kittie looked at him. She sighed and rested her head on his shoulder. This was the first time in a few years that she was able to see stars. In the city not many stars could be seen from all the pollution.

Hero's eyes widen a bit as he looked at her and then turned away quickly. His hair covering his eye and most of his red face. He coughed a bit for no appearant reason...maybe to calm himself down.
"W..wh...where d..do you c.co..come from?"
