Alex didn't hear the fluttering of her bird's wings as he stirred and lifted from his perch. He was curious about the newcomer and wanted a closer look... a much closer look.

Tiem stooped low over the edge of one of the bins that kept the animals from running around; trying to read the tags on them. Different breeds, types he'd never even heard of before, though they all seemed to look more or less the same in his eyes...
'Cute lil' kittens... and stuff...'
He took a few steps to the left and looked into the next tank. Puppies... wait, puppies? His nose started to itch.

As Dae drew closer to the customer, Alex suddenly stood. "AHA! Found it!" The commotion of her excitement caused poor Daemon to glance back at her and in the few seconds that he did that, he wasn't watching where he was going. The raven turned his head just in time to fly right into the young man he had wanted a closer look at. I'd say he got a pretty close look.

Dae smacked right into him, without any real warning, and as small as the creature was, it was still a bit of a shock, and caused the boy to fall halfway over the edge of the box that kept all the puppies from running around the store on their own.
Man, his nose was itchy... so bad it was kinda twitching right now.
He pushed himself up quick enough and looked around to see what the bugger had just smacked him.

Dae had let out a cry when he hit the man that had attracted Alexiel's attention and she watched as the man nearly toppled into the puppies and Daemon fell to the floor. "Oh my..." Making her around the counter and over to the two, she knealt to pick up Dae while speaking to the young man. "Are you alright?"

"AAAAAAAAAACHOO!" he nearly doubled over again, sneezing violently as soon as he turned around from the puppy box... unfortunately...
Though his nose wasn't quite so itchy anymore. See... Tiem was allergic to dogs.

Alexiel narrowly managed to avoid being sneezed on as she backed up a bit. "Allergic to dogs?" She could only assume that since he had been near the puppies when he sneezed.

"Da," the boy replied, with a nod. It would have been a bit more clear, and maybe a different word entirely, but it was a little hard to annunciate propperly when he was so congested from having his face meet puppies just a few moments before.
Making haste enough, he stepped around the room, towards the lizard tanks... because those don't shed hair like a balding New Yorker. Much easier on the sneezing.

Dae still cradled in her arms, Alexiel followed the young man over to the lizards. "Is there anything I can help you with? Something in particular that you're looking for?"

(( Ye GODS, you're covered in FILTHY aminals! gonk ))
"No, um... I don't think so... er, no, not really... yes." The boy stood there, shaking his head for a moment, and then nodded with a stupid grin on his face.
"Can I have a trained monkey? One with a typewriter? Could he like... write the greatest story in the whole world?"
...something was wrong with this boy's brain, for sure. xp

A trained monkey with a typewriter that would write the greatest story in the world. Indeed, there was something wrong with the boy's brain. "Uhh... I'm sorry... I uhh... don't think we have any monkeys that can... uhh... do that..." She was staring at the boy with one eyebrow raised. "Could I interest you in something else?"

"Well, maybe... just maybe..." the boy said, flopping down cross-legged on the floor as he rubbed his chin in thought.
"...nope."
Tiem cocked his head to the side, reaching up with his right hand to scratch obsessively at his head, just above the ear on the right side. "I just saw the sign and said to myself - WOW! That's a cool name for a store. But it doesn't tell me what's inside, so I should go in and find out what it is, yep, I should."
"So like..." he paused, planting his hands on the ground behind him and leaning back onto them, "...I did?"

Alexiel was still staring at the young man with that brow raised. "Indeed, you did...." Honestly, Alex had no clue what to say to him.
