((yes... that's the first group.... *sheepish* what I get trying to type so late & tired. Missed Cedrella's reply to Valis getting to type too. *grins* I've got cable to Timex' pc now, so hopefully won't be steeling a few hours on my mom's pc a day now.
And because I suck at knowing anything ship worthy... ^_^))
Cedrella only winked in answer to Valis' question after setting the name to the ship & putting her wand away. She had opened her mouth to proudly tell her name -and with it the heritage she was justly proud of- when Davey started shouting at them to get going. With a pop she disapparated to apparate on deck even as she noticed Rune spread her wings to get on board quickly, offering to fly the other two kits over to save time. Oh, she knew a little about sailing in theory from listening to uncle AearHwesta's tales when he was home but in practice it was something different. Unlike the White SeeD who seemed rather easy upon the ship. Rune's softer orders, directions, and explanations soon lent their own assistance to the Captain. The soft-spoken SeeD had her own way but never underminded Davey Jones' authority. The kit squared her small shoulders at each each yelled order. At the same time her eyes were bright. Learning things gave her better ways to be a leader herself.
When she got a moment near the sweatered kit Cedrella paused to smile. "Calypso: He said she was the goddess of the sea or something." Then with a wink and a grin she set to attempt the next task assigned to her.
Hemi blinked as he looked up at his new "hat" then grinned wildly. "Uh-huh! New friends, Shoom!" Zell, landing near Yrre, pulled off a fun little move to lightly toss the bobtail onto his back and trotted over to the others with a grin. "Yo Squall? You comin' too? Booya!"
Grinning, happier now that his paws were not off the ground from any power other than his own, Zell seemed a bit more SeeD-like in a small way. "Save talking 'bout flying and armsocks for while we're looking, 'kay? Circle up guys & touch the portkey. Psyche yourselves up!"
There was a moment as the oar was activated, tumbling the lot to a location on the left side of the riverbank, radially equidistant from the cottage as the dock of the Calypso.
Ginny looked around her group, trying not to think of her erstwhile daughter upon a ship. She knew Cedrella could take care of herself. "Let's not waste time." She nodded at Cloud as he approached. All those Lucks.... well maybe they would be lucky.
It was possible.
The group touched the portkey and found themselves within the forest. Deep within. Very little of the sky above shone through the branches. The Redheaded witch drew her wand. "Lumos." The tip lit up with soft blue-white light.

Ooh, a forest. Or rather, the forest. It wasn't particularly as if Tuuli had never seen one before, but the idea of magically arriving in the middle of one, during a situation like this, fascinated the perma-kit in a way, given that she was expecting a grand adventure full of monsters and princesses and the sorts (naturally, she'd be sorely disappointed later, but for the meantime, the kit was content to daydream).
"How'd you do that?" Tuuli asked Ginny, in awe of something so supposedly simple.

(( HAHHAHAHA *fixes* sorry i got confused!! DX i thought group two got sent to the forest and weeee * so confused* XDDDD ill fix this <333 thanks trel <333 ))
Sushi shuffled towards what he figured to be this thing called a 'portkey.' What it would exactly do was beyond him, but it seemed important to follow directions given to him and the others. The 'key' was touched once everyone seemed to be ready, he felt this odd tugging feeling at his stomach, then eveything around him changed. He was no longer in the house by the lake.
A sudden feeling of floating, then his paws were touching ground again, but this time instead of the floor of a house, it was the cushioned, soft feeling of grass. He looked around quickly and grinned widely at his new surroundings. As to where they were was beyond him, but it was nature, and that was good enough for him. And he could also hear the faint sound of a lake. That was even better news to him.

((Thats ok Trelweny I suck at knowing anything ship worthy too :p I just fake it xd ))
Valis watched as Cedrella as she apparated on ship, Valis rarely used magic, she felt a feeling of acomplishment when she did things without it, magic was fun, but it did in her opinion get in the way of some things and put a few people off. She instead went to work as instructed but wondered if maybe this trip would change her mind with too much physical labor
Davey allowed Rune to instruct and order for the most part, if she knew her job and the working of ships he had little to worry about, but he kept his eye on her none the less to be on the safe side. If she were to slip up he would need to catch it quickly. "Now if we all be aboard let us be on our way! Raise the anchor loose the peir ties, lets get this girl moving, and be sure yeh get your sea legs quick I neednt be havin a crew loosin their bowls over deck!" He took hold of the wheel ready to feel the tug of the sea on the rudder and the breeze of the sea pick up as they picked up speed, he had an old familiar feeling in his chest, the thrill of the unknown on a sound ship, a freedom and adventure that he had lost when he lost the Flying Dutchman he quite enjoyed this and almost hoped it would take a while to find the kits and the egg so he might stay on the sea as long as he could

One Rune did not make a mistake, though she found she often had to return to the Potter kit to keep her on the tasks at hand. It was hard to blame Cedrella though really, as she adjusted & gained her sealegs. Cedrella was only a kit. Rune had been the equivalent of a kit before when she had left the orphanage with Ellone to become a White SeeD.
It took her little time if any to find her sea legs. It almost surprised her, as long as she had been away from any ship. On board any way. it was strange and at the same time wonderful. Rune had missed the feel of the sea breezes upon her face.
So focused was she on those things she felt she had to do as first mate Rune failed as they reached open waters to see a green feather, floating lazily upon the water a ship's length from the starboard prow.
((Tuuli & Sushi are in different groups, Sika! *hugs*))
Two Zell grinned as they arrived, and accustomed to side-by-side apparating if not using a portkey he started searching about the area for clues. Remus Lupin's son remained close to Isidora 0whom he did not realize even yet was the daughter of his father's beloved friend- and grinned as he looked at Sushi's wide eyes. "Guess Dad didn't explain it, huh? So used to it, I forget others aren't. Got here by magic. The portkey is usually a one-way transportation spell to a designated spot. That's how we could all get here like we did."
Almost hidden among the bubbling ripples of the spring a white almost crystaline feather floated down the river towards them.
Three Ginny grinned, looking at the blue perma kit. It was always hard to tell the age or mental maturity of permakits. Their own Trinity for example was the oldest of the kitsu in their home & often acted like it Sometimes not... but often did. "Wizard magic." The red-head said with a smile and toss of her bright mane. "I'm a witch." Yun nodded, smiling at anyone who would pay attention. "Aunt Ginny's a very good witch!"
The evening bobtail shook her head lightly. "I think perhaps we should pass introductions now that we are a smaller group, so that we can better get another's attention. I am Adumialmîr. The luck kit here is Yun, and our witch is Ginny. The three of us happen to reside in the same home as the Priestess Miaka."
Within a bush, about 20 paces away from the group were strands of brown fur. Further along, a brown feather spotted white balanced precariously in the crook of a high branch.
((hope I got everything...))

Goddess of the sea? How fitting, then. The kit thought quietly to himself as he boarded the vassal. He quietly did as he was told while he remained in his thoughts. The sea wasn't all that bad. He could easily get used to this.
His eyes peered over as he saw the young witch light up the ship with the tip of her magic wand. Magic was something he was not entirely accustomed to quite yet. He had only read about them, but he had never seen them in his life. He knew his mother had small traces of magical abilities, but nothing like this...her abilities were mainly destructive. But this was a handy little spell, unlike those he learned about.

Davey was pleased by the smooth sailing, Rune was doing quite well leaving him only to worry about stearing and watching the coast trusting that if anyone got outta line he would hear them and yell at them with little troubled.
Valis was feeling very queeze, the rocking on the ship was getting to her and the splashing of the water against the hull wasn't exactly helping, and thinking about it ... that was it she had to puke, she rushed over to the edge and a second before she pukes she saw a green feather "look!" she barfed half way through the word "a feather!" again she puked, she wanted to summon it to her but with all her puking she wouldn't be able to say the spell

Atae had been worried she might be seasick but aside from a slight disorientation due to the constant rocking and having to find her equilibrium constantly she was actually doing fine. Though she did get rather queesy when Valis starting being sick over the side... Ew.
Endless trotted over to peer toward the feather, ignoring Valis' sick episode in spite of the fact that he felt sorry for her. There were other things to worry about at the moment.
Peering over his shoulder he whistled and then called for Cedrella. "Can you get that feather and... get something for Valis, maybe?" No point in having a sick kitsu aboard if they had some sort of potion that could help settle her stomach.
~
Bryna hadn't really been paying attention, but when Shoom suddenly hollered something indeterminate and pointed at the river she peeked over to see the feather and quickly caused it to float out of the water. Dangling it in the air in front of Zell's nose she asked the obvious question. "Upstream, then?"
~
Dachrun smiled lightly and bowed to the others in a rather regal manner. "I am known as Dachrun and my psuedo-clone is my brother, Damerion. We live at the Fierra Place, I hear tell most of the household is rather fond of your own."
Damerion bobbed his head, but he seemed to have taken it upon himself to prove that there were no monsters and it was safe by trotting ahead, and incidentally over to the bush with the fur in it. One of the stray hairs tickled his nose and he sneezed. "...I say, this looks rather suspect."

"Really? You're a wizard?" Tuuli inquired, her eyes growing rather large, "Wow! I've always been wondering when I'd get to meet one," the kit babbled, "Only there's no girl witches in the books."
Of course, there weren't particularly female adventurers in fairytales, either, unless it involved the princess disguising herself or something.
"I'm Tuuli, princess of the flowers," she rambled, despite the look Shreya gave her, "But you can call me Tuuli."
The perma-kit puffed up proudly, always happy to explain who she was, though she was, well, far from regal.
"The other one that came with me is Shreya, since Sunny's too scared to go anywhere, and Kalani always tags along with Monday, and, and,"
The kit was momentarily distracted as the red and gold female she had convinced to come along with her made her way over to Damerion, rolling her jade ball with her.
"Hey! Where're you going?" Tuuli called after the female.
"It seems like a clue," Shreya agreed, nodding, and gestured a little further ahead, towards the tree, "Something seems to be there as well."

So it was magic? Magic wasn't something new to him. The older fish and fisherman would tell stories of magic. But actually experiencing it was something entirely new to him.
Magic wasn't on his mind though, as he soon bounded off toward the lake and settled into its waters, purring happily. He had hardly noticed the feather that Bryna and the others spotted, and was now watching it as it floated infront of Zell's face. Perhaps they were on the right track? And the right track was to follow the water, if he figured correctly.
He grinned as Bryna voiced the same thoughts.

Squall crossed his arms as the portkey did it's magic. He had noted that team one had already gotten a vessel ready and left and he felt with the other two team that they were losing time; even with the portkey. He seemed a bit irritated by this. Squall looked over at Zell. "Yeah I am coming. But how does this magic called a port key work. I know as a SeeD we are train in magic but it is different kind of magic." Squall scratched the back of his head.
The portkey magic ran through him and it felt wierd. He was a bit weirded out by teleporting this way.Very strange he thought to himself.Cloud looked at Grinny. And looked at the direction she had been looking at. "Do you see something that might lead us to the egg?" he tilted his head. He wonder what she spotted and then he saw it. He saw the bush with what seemed to be fur and other clues that seemed to be useful hints to were the egg is.

Davey holds the wheel steady to steady the ship as the feather is retrieved, he hoped it wouldn't take too long or they would have to drop canvas before the wind blew them too far away and with such a green crew he'd rather not have to have them raise and lower the sails so often, they may be able to do it but not exactly very fast
Valis paid little attention to what was being done or said, she didn't know what was worse closing her eyes and feeling the ship rock even more vividly or having her eyes open and seeing the waves splash against the hull and the water push and lift the hull, she was getting more ill, she hung her head lower over the side with a moan
((the 'green crew' is referencing not being broken in, as in a horse is green broke, meaning you can sit on it and it will walk, but if you make it do anything else it will kick you off))

[So tired out...@_@ Orientation sucks, yo.]
He listened carefully to the captain's instructions and tried to follow them to the best of his ability. This was something new to most everyone abroad this ship, himself included. Of course, most of them all struggled to do things correctly. The captain was strict. He was quite used to it from his own strict mother. This was nothing in comparison to her.
The young kit slowly made his way over towards the edge. Surprisingly even though this was his first time on a ship, he didn't feel dizzy at all. In fact, he felt quite fine. His eyes peered carefully over into the glimmering water. This was nothing compared to what he imagined the sea to be like.

one The witch kit tilted her head at Endless and grinned, easily flicking her wand in the proper 'swish and flick' of the spell. "Wingardium Leviosa!" The feather lifted and flicked over, landing on the deck. Rune, padding to Valis' side and offering some dramamine from the pocket of her uniform turned and looked softly at the captain. "Would that be our new heading, Captain?"
Cedrella grinned and nodded. She would apparate home for one of her aunt Liliana's potions if the dramamine did not work for the Hufflepuff witch. Rune just had moved faster than she could, was all. Hard to do two spells so quickly together as a kit!
two The happy go lucky fistfighter looked up from where he was searching at his commander. Then he grinned and bounced over, a flip tossed in midway. Still way too much energy. "Actually Hemi'd be better to field that than me, but basically the wizard sticks a spell to the object, setting a place for it to port those touching it too. Not really sure how it works beyond that." The blonde kitsu gave a shrug. "It's useful, that's what matters."
Then he was blinking as one of Crystal's feathers was suddenly floating in front of his face. Zell cast a glance at Bryna and burst out in happy laughter. "Yup! Looks like upstream it is!! Booya!" Hemi grinned. "Whoot! Go cuz! heart "
three "Yes." She answered those of Fierra Place, A flicker of guilt touching her brown eyes. "huh? what's that?"
Then mother that she now was, she was distracted by the kit.
Ginny chuckled at Tuuli. "Sure there are. But in muggle fairy tales witches are usually depicted unfavorably. We're not like that." She laughed. "Pleased to meet you all." She was not about to take the time repeating everyone's name as she might usually. If she had to... Ginny would ask the GaiaCom to conjure a pensieve so she could double check all the names.
The witch tilted her head at the spiky-haired blonde. She had not seen anything, having become distracted with the kit. Multiple times. Now she looked where Cloud did, towards Damerion and the Luck with the colors of her House. She looked at the fur, caught sight of the feathers and...
"Clarice!!" The little Luck kit exclaimed excitedly. "Those are from Clarice!" Excitedly she started to roll her ball in that direction. Upon closer investigation it was pretty easy to see which way the kit had been flying. Even without tracking skills. "If we hurry, maybe we'll catch up to her!" Beside her the bobtail rolled her eyes and trotted after the larger kit.
Ginny hung her head. "Yeah. Seems like it is, Cloud. Come on... let's not get left behind." now if only Clarice has the egg! I wonder how the others are doing? Cedrella better be listening to Rune! Liftng her head she smiled at everyone before trotting in the direction the feather pointed them.

"Aye that it be las, we be followin the bread crumbs now!" Davey turned the rudder and headed on their new bearing, he was quite enjoying himself, he had a mission to accomplish, a sense of purpose, sea air in his lungs the breeze on his face, he felt like a boy again.
Valis took the dramamine greatfully and slumped onto the deck leaning against the hull "It's been a while since I did a lot of magic so I forget.... but isn't there a spell to summon objects even when you can't see them? .... it starts with an 'a' I think.... can't we just use that on the egg since its not protected by the spells of the house now?" she wasn't throwing up but she still felt awful and it showed " I don't like ship rides anymore." she layed down on the deck to wait until the dramamine kicked in fully.
Davey bristled slightly at this, he didn't want it to be over so quickly, when would he get another chance to sail? He would have told her off but he also didn't want a mutiny by way of them thinking he didn't want to find the egg.... he did... just not so soon.
