Hana poured a little bit of acid on the body to eat away at the charcoal-like layer of what had once been skin. Even though the spy had burned his body, he could not have succeeded in ridding his body of all traces of DNA. Hana was looking for any hint of blood samples and to gather DNA samples...it was true that in the state the body was in, it could not possibly be that any blood vessels survived the damage. She would have to settle for the second best thing, then. And so, Hana cut the body exactly at the point where the heart should've been, opening the now soft body.

Miraculously, the organ was still there, though shrunken. Hana took a needle and injected it in to take out a bit of dried blood. After that, Hana scrapped a little sample of muscle tissue and crumbling remnants of bone. She placed the samples in different machines (which would scan for DNA). It's true that most of the cells should be too damaged to read but it's highly possible that intact cells survived. If it works then Hana can use to DNA to reconstruct an exact copy of the spy.

The machine would not be able to detect bloodlimits for her though, so Hana must carefully copy down the DNA sequences present in the blood sample and then run a scan through each and every single one of the blood samples on the old Oto scrolls to find any hint of a match. It was a pity her doujutsu does not work on the dead though... Otherwise, their job would've been much easier.

Unfortunately, it turned out that all of the cells were partly damaged so the DNA charts she compiled were not complete. Here and there, portions of sequences could be made out...but mostly it was mindless jumble of fragments. Hana opened a file that listed the major differences in DNA between a possessor of a kekkai genkai and a normal person. She created a list of one gene that was found commonly present among those with bloodlimits.

However, when she looked over the chart with the DNA sequences of the corpse, there were no match. A few more mindless hours dragged on but with no success. Hana gritted her teeth, her patience running thin... Back at the forest, she was sure there was something particular about the corpse but now after all the pointless searching, she wasn't sure anymore.

Hana sighed before signaling Duke. "It would appear the body was too damaged... None of the DNA sequences were complete... We wouldn't even be able to reconstruct the spy's image like this... Duke, did you find anything that may be of importance (which weren't destroyed) that the spy had with him?"

"Yes, indeed we should. I'll go compile the report... Hold on...it won't take long..." The red-haired kunoichi took a seat and gathered some paper before writing neatly. It wouldn't do to include her suspicion in the report, though, as they had no proof to back it up.

Half an hour later, Hana motioned to Duke that they will be heading to the Otokage's office. Even though the report was brief, Hana did have to include the research they had conducted.

Hana appeared outside of the clinic in a puff of smoke, totally exhausted from her harsh training. Slowly walking (more of limping) towards a chair, the red-haired Chuunin collapsed and was out cold for at least a good hour or two.

When Hana woke up, she was not surprised that she had fallen asleep but wondered how long was she out. She checked the clinic's clock, muttered something under her breath, and decided to visit the bath house, wash herself and get a clean change of clothes.

Hana decided she can make something for herself to eat later, most probably a sandwich since she did not feel like cooking. Perhaps she can actually obtain solo missions where she will get paid from the kage later as well. Right now, the red-haired kunoichi could care less what rank the missions were.

With that thought in mind, Hana went through her bag, took out a clean change of clothes, her towel, soap, and other bathing supplies and left the clinic.

Hana was irritated. She had just been through hell today finishing ten days worth of Hosenka no Jutsu training in a single day, went to the bath house only to remember an appointment, tried to check out her new housing quarters, and was interrupted. Again. But her duty as a medic-nin calls her to care for the injured. And as soon as Hana saw an injured student on a wheeled bed, her irritation vanished almost immediately.

"Dear lord...what happened...?" She muttered, running up to Rosie, formed a few handseals before she activated Minor Chakra Heal, her palm now glowing a mystic green.

Heals: 17 - 32 (heals 26 so far...enough for a Academy Student to be back at full Hp)

Surprisingly, Hana's control of Minor Chakra Heal was even more impressive, despite the fact that she had not practiced the Jutsu since Duke and her parted training ways. It must be the Hosenka...and the rigorous chakra training needed for that Jutsu. In a short time Hana was able to minimize the wound and blood loss but did not close it up entirely, due to the fact Rosie had a broken rib. Hana couldn't believe she forgot about the Otogakure Shinobi Tournament...but which Academy Student would wound a fellow classmate this terribly...

Even though Hana had not learned the proper medical ninjutsu for making incisions, the red-haired kunoichi used her chakra laced palm to make a clean cut along when the rib is supposed to be, using the Jutsu to keep Rosie from losing more blood, while her other hand grasped some tools needed to set the rib back in place.

Hana noticed something was strange about this child's eyes but made no comment. Instead, she growled menacingly, the fact that her right eye was covered by her forehead protector made her look even scarier. "No injured patient of mine is moving until I saw so." She replied back harshly. She did however inject Rosie's bloodstream with numbing medication to slightly dull out the pain.

And nodding at Duke, the red-haired kunoichi began working on setting the bone back to its place. They will have to work on healing the rib after its back in place.
