They weren't best friends for now reason. Adair would always try to make it easier for Holden not have to talk. After all that's what best friends should do, look out for each other and make life easier. He'd expect Holden to take his likes and dislikes into account if he was starting something. Just it worked better if they were always looking out for each other.
"Alright brother! Lets get going!" Adair called out loudly, racing down the stairs, tugging Holden along, back outside.
Kainda glanced up, "Going out again Adair?" she asked the gryphon child. "We should go soon buddy." she warned.
"Awh, Kainda! We're just having fun!" Adair said quickly, already starting to pout.

Holden followed quickly behind Adair as he was tugged rather excited about the game that was going to be played.
When Kainda stopped them and said that they might be going soon, Holden look appalled. Like Adair said there were just having fun, how could they leave now. He looked to Tristan in hopes that he would intervine.
Tristan smiled at this, oh what it was to be a kid, when your friend having to go was the worst thing in the world. He wished he could be like that again.
"Don't look at me kiddo, if they gotta go, then they gotta go," Tristan said, causing his little boy to pout.

Kainda looked over the kids and let out a small sigh. It was hard to deny them such joy, especially since it wasn't like they had to do anything, not really at least. She nodded once, ready to let them go.
"Alright, you guys can play for a bit longer. But we're going home for dinner Adair. Sorry bud but we can't move in." she told him with a smile before turning back to Tristian. "Just can't break their hearts." she admited.
Adair brighted almost instantly, he turned to Holden and urged him forward. "Alright! Come on Holden, let's get going. We got to find the plant!" he urged, rushing forward happily.
The time spread out long in front of him and he was with his best friend. There was nothing more he could ask for right now.
