Frodo watched as the person turned slightly to face the direction of the sound that had just sprung up behind the two of them. He nodded, this was his chance to get away. Lunging forward with Sting, he went to stab the figure but as he charged forward he found himself stopped so suddenly that he fell to the ground, Sting no longer in his hands. He looked up at the cloaked person; it was like he'd run into a brick wall.

The person stared down at Frodo from underneath their hood. So the Hobbit had tried to attack. Well it had backfired on him as they'd sidestepped quickly and grabbed Sting's handle and wrenched it from his grasp in one fluid motion.

"Do you not understand the tongue of the Humans?" The figure inquired as it twirled Sting through its fingers. "I thought all Hobbits could."

"I can understand you fine!" Frodo shouted back, stumbling up to his feet. "Now hand back my sword now!"

"Sword?" It glanced at Sting, a long dagger in their slender hands. "Ah yes, well to a Hobbit it would be, wouldn't it? Here," the person tossed it over to him and Sting landed at Frodo's feet, point in the ground. "I mean you no harm and yet you attack me. You're not a very nice Hobbit."

Frodo snatched up Sting and clung to it tightly, determined not to lose it this time. "If you mean no harm then what do you want?" He demanded.

The lips curled into a smile. "Many things and I'm sure you could give me none of it." A pause. "So, what are you doing out here? So far from home? I'm still waiting for an answer."

"Nothing!" Frodo stated. "I don't have to tell you anything."

"Of course your last sentence makes me only more curious because it proves you're up to something. If you're running from the Dark Lord Sauron then would it help ease things over between us if I told you I too am trying to escape him?"

Legolas was pulled to the ground from behind by an Uruk-hai. He immeadiatly jumped up and stabed the uruk. An arrow hit him from behind. Everything went black. Legolas knew he was dieing.

A couple of men carried a weak and wounded elf to the makshift hospital in the tavern. The elf was nearly dead with an arrow in the back. The renforcments had spotted him laying on the ground bleeding badly. No one knew who he was, they hadn't seen his face. One of the doctors turned his head to identify the wounded man.
"LEGOLAS!" One of the doctors said. With that the opperation to save his life went on.

Another smile as the hooded face lifted up towards Kaija.

"Hm and I thought my race was hostile," a small emotionless laugh.

"Ah, misconceptions truly are my downfall it seems," the smile lingered for a few more seconds. "My reasons are just as true as the one you protect. What they are though is none of your concern."

Frodo looked up at Kaija. "Thank you," he mumbled, still holding Sting just in case he would need to protect himself.

"Only a couple of hours," Emma said, coming out of the shadows. Her bloody sleeve was still hidden in the shadows. She didn't need pitty, she had had enough of it from the male doctors. "How are you feeling?" she asked sweetly.

"I feel terible." Legolas replied. "I'm supprised I surrvived. After all, those orc arrows are very unsanitiary. So is the battle still on, or have we kicked their butts?" He asked.

"Yeah. I'm Emma. You must be Aragorn, right?" she said, turning to Aragorn as she said it. She bowed to him gracefully. "You were very well known in my lands."

"As hostile as your race may be, it does not mean that there are such traits found among others, and what have you to do with this littl hobbit, you have made it my buissness to know," Kaija said still aiming the sword at the cloaked figure. "Whether you be friend or foe, choose your side of mine, and wisley persuede me, I warn you...I do not trust anything so easily."

The trees whispered in mixed tounge, only a language that Elrond or one of the wisest elves could understand. Kaija ignored the whispers, they were not meant for her but she had a sudden impulse to call her horse and she wished someone else would come to aide them...
